"Then I'd be cataloguing everything." She let out a tiny sigh. "It's nice though, having the extra work. I like reading and all."
Captain had since dropped his stick and was back to walking at their heels; not in an annoying way, but just close and slowly because his little leggies had a hard time keeping up.

"Yes well... like I said, finding the grains is difficult as is. If you throw anything away before sifting through it..." he started, then trailed on off.
Noticing that Captain was nearby once more, he looked down, tilting his head at the corgi.

Was Shun really one to talk about sifting through written information? June thought these things but kept them inside.
"Yes, I'll keep that in mind." She reached down to pick up a short and thick stick and gave it a small toss for Captain.

Shun took out his phone, checking the time.
"I should be headed to the police department now. It would not do to be tardy due to a beach stroll."

"Sure. I'll head back with you."
She gave a whistle and shouted, "Captain! Get back here little guy!" He dutifully toddled over.
Before they both escaped, June ventured to say, "If ... anything happens or if you needed something from the archives ... would you tell me?" She was somewhat sheepish still. "If that's okay."

Turning about, Shun began to make his way off the beach. He paused briefly, to glance over at June.
"Sure."

She felt her feet sink into the sand a little bit.
"But ... would you really?" She gave Shun a hard look.

Something in her demeanor drooped.
"Yes. Okay, sir." She continued back towards the little trail she'd come in on.
