Stop looking. Everything is alright. Everything is fine. The four sentences eventually became a silent chant to calm his anxious heart as he tugged against the hood of his cloak. He strayed from the path, and took the small alley ways in the small town of Bellris in order to get to the famous Thousand River Delta. When was the last time he had came here? Thirty years ago, perhaps? Thirty three, maybe? He lost count. All he knew was that everything looked different, everything was so beautiful back then. Then again, maybe it was just his way of thinking that had changed. He took slow steps towards the edge of the river bank, his cloak tugged forward to hide his appearance. Nothing could be seen, save the other reptilian hand of his that had been holding a relatively long wooden staff. His head looked oddly shaped beneath that hood of his. It seemed strangely.. big, and it was all due to the horns he had been born with. His wings were big, and they dragged behind him as he walked, leaving a trail where the ends of his wings dug against the ground. His face could not be seen, but his eyes would be the only visible aspect of his features. All they could see, was simply two violet glints within the darkness of the hood. His wings flapped every now and then, bringing a gentle breeze to his surroundings with each move he made. There were faint noises afar, and from a distance, he would gaze at them through the crystal fragments that made up his eyes. He couldn't recognize who they were, half because he's never been exposed to the outside world for quite a long while, and another, because he never really was the type of person to care. At least not ever since the tragedy that struck him. There were three people, one being a man that had been awoken by a strangely.. wild underling, and the other woman, perhaps his partner. Alistair paid no mind to them, and simply walked to the further end of the bank. There he sat, with his wings spread majestically across the field. He would rest his hand upon the soft grass, and upon the soil, amethyst crystals would grow in their wake. The gentle breeze blew, pushing the hood of his cloak backwards ever so slightly, and beneath that hood, revealed a fairly pale skin, with markings that reassembled tribal tattoos spreading across his forehead. The wind resonated within his ears, and Alistair thought this moment was simply perfect, where he could enjoy the sounds of nature in peace and quiet. And the rest.. is simply history. ▇ ▇▇ ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇

Zamora' attention was drawn away from her husband and the slave girl by an odd black shape in the distance. Giving her beloved a quick kiss on the cheek, she excused herself to go check things out. Carefully making her way closer to the dark figure, she crouched down a few feet away and tossed a rock at the figure. "What stranger?" She growled protectively, though nothing about her demeanour would seem threatening. Thankfully being one of the many Guzul Warriors, she was well known to go off alone to make sure things were well protected, especially when it came to the camp and those she held dear within it.

He tilted his head ever so slightly when he felt something hit against the tip of his horn, causing a faint clattering sound before the rock fell with a soft 'thump' against the ground. Alistair lifted his hands, rubbing the tip of his horns that had begun to feel a tad uncomfortable, and the crystals that once grew where his hands laid, had faded to nothingness. He tore his gaze from the flowing river and focused them to the source of the sound. A sound which reassemble the growls of an animal. When his crystal orbs fell upon the young woman, Alistair would narrow his gaze, taking in the sight of her attire, her demeanor, her features. A barbarian, perhaps? She seemed to reassemble what his former clan looked like, though it was obvious that her kind was more barbaric than his. None of her demeanor screamed hostility, and the tension within his shoulders would relax, along with his wings that seemed just a tad too solid to be passed off as relaxed. "..and just what might your business be?" he asked, raising his eyebrows in suspicion. With his head turned, she would finally be allowed a clearer view of his features, and of his gleaming eyes that does not seem to have any whites of the sclera present at all. It was as if his eye sockets were simply filled with amethyst crystals. He looked nothing like an average human at all. He did seem pretty strange with his wings, and a weirdly shaped body beneath his cloak. It was no wonder her attention was caught. "I suggest you run along back to your little friends. I'm not a company one usually finds intriguing to hang around."▇ ▇▇ ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇

Zamora watched as the stranger moved to look at her, making her tilt her head slightly in curiosity. "We camp near by, I'm making sure camp is safe." She replied before looking over her shoulder to where she had left the others. True she should really rejoin them, but she was also curious to find out what the stranger was doing in such a quiet place. "They will be fine. What is stranger business?" She replied in a curious tone, clearly trying to figure out the stranger. Granted it was also her way of assessing the threat level to those she loved.

Faint violet glimmers stare straight into a pool of hazel brown orbs, that reflected the pride of their clan. He narrowed his gaze, and it was then, he tore his gaze away, back to the running river water thas was as clear as the sky. Though he’d much appreciate it if he could admire such beauty in silence. ”Should you not pose a threat to me, then neither am I, to you, or your companions.” answered Alistair calmly. His expression was hidden beneath the cloak, but through the tone of his voice, he sounded indifferent. He had no concerns regarding their presence, however it seems, that just ever so slightly, he might be a tad curious regarding her tribe. It reminded him much of his. Perhaps this conversation could go longer than he expected. He supposed, as long as he kept himself hidden beneath this cloak with little information revealed, this woman would most likely linger about. In order to stop that, Alistair held onto the edge of his hood with his reptilian looking limb that once held the wooden staff. Crystals started growing where his hands were, and it seems, crystals grow in the wake of his touch, and ceases to exist once all contact is lost. He was hesitant, but the older male pulled his hood down. Beneath the thick fabric, revealed a fairly pale skin and chiseled features. His silver locks fell loosely around his shoulders, and amongst those silver flows, were two pairs of horns, one set larger than the other. His wings flapped as they tensed, and his violet glints, now, are clearly revealed as crystals. He had no irises, no sclera. His eyes did not look like eyes, but rather, anethyst crystals, yet he could still see like any others would, though he did possess a fairly different vision. ”I am Alistair Creed. I serve the God of Vengeance Leo, and in His name, I was made the High Priest.” he narrowed his gaze, his eyes locking onto hers once more. ”Should it help ease your distress, I simply ventured out into the open to take a breather after many years in the Maude. The Thousand River Delta was where I once roamed. It’s been thirty years..” the final sentence was more so directed to himself as his voice slowly faded to black. He was reminiscing the bittersweet past that felt equally sweet.. and painful. ▇ ▇▇ ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇

"If there is no threat, why should one pose a threat? There is no worry or need to cause strife where it is not due." Zamora replied a little confused on what the stranger had said, wondering why he felt she would need to pose a threat to him. When he introduced himself and spoke of his reason for being in the area, she decided to sit down and watch him a little longer. "Zamora." She stated with a slight bit of pride in her name. "What is high priest? Why have you not been here in many years?" She asked curious to learn about those outside her little world.

Company:: Zamora, Strega & Unknown man Outfit:: Full armor Feeling:: On guard Condition:: Healthy Location:: On hill near Encampment Currency:: 5000¢ EC (Hidden away somewhere near camp) Items:: Recurve bow & arrows (hidden small knife) OOC:: Sorry for being slow as of late. Let me know if you need edits > < Yhudah, Chieftain of the Guzul Let the other wives get jealous" Yhudah would coo to his well toned wife. "It might light the fire under them to motivate them to be more like you." For in Zamora he sees much potential to become a powerful wife. One that was as beautiful as she was deadly. It raises his spirit to know she wanted to spend the day with him, but when she left his side he couldn't help but feel a little lonely. Sure, it was only for a second but it feels as though he and Zamora have been drifting apart as of late. Perhaps his greedy ways were beginning to catch up with him. But as for his slave..."We'll be interrogating a Bellrisian solider that was captured late last night. The men have been beating him to get info out of him but they feel like he is lying and so do I." With that, and a tug of her bound wrist closer to him, the barbarian chief would look into the eyes of his slave and teasingly coo at her. "You have good intuition when it comes to lying, and you're really truthful yourself." Imaginary of her and the things done to her waltzing within the beastly man's mind. He sat with the rest of the tribe at the grand campfire as he began to eat his piece of mutton off the bone and with him forcing his slave to eat beside him the tribe would speak wildly as if at a dinner table filled with one hundred family members. There weren't that many of them here, since this was a simple encampment and not their true home, but they were a loud bunch and aggressive to boot. It was in the middle of the meal that he began to see what was going on with Zamora and when the man under the hood began to show his true self the tribe leader began to feel uneasy. Perhaps it was his protective nature that held his eyes with suspicion to the man in the distance but just to be sure Yhudah command a handful of horsemen to ride out with bows and only keep close to Zamora for now. "Strega, get ready. You're coming with me." While Yhudah ready himself to ride over the other horsemen were he tells his slave to brace herself because he'd be helping her onto the back of his horse so that he might use her instincts to see what this man was about. With the horsemen riding out behind Zamora and the unknown man, they would ride in circles to kick up mass amounts of dust as to show they were there; ready with recurve bow and arrows to shoot if their on coming leader say the word. "Stranger!" Yhudah calls out as he calmly rides closer. "What is it that brings you around these parts? Do you not see this land is occupied?"

Strega of Guzul0ec Dressed in picture Strega sat down next to Yhudah and when breakfast came around she was about to eat when she was pulled back up again, whimpering slightly as she had to let her breakfast go. She didn't care about the interrogation, most of what the solider was going to say was probably going to be a lie anyway since it was said under torture. It was when her food had dropped from her hands and she was placed on the horse that she felt like she was about to cry. Instead Strega took a deep breath and actually bit her tongue in order to keep herself from saying anything as she looked down at the ground as the horses rode off toward Zamora and the stranger. It wasn't her choice to go. As the horses rode around in a circle Strega closed her eyes until the dust settled and then she opened them. Looking at the strange man, blinking a few times before raising an eyebrow in confusion when her minds eye saw the misty visage of his dragon form coming from his scale covered arm, but she didn't bring that up and instead blinked a few times to rid herself of the image, and instead her eyes where brought to the center of the mans forehead, to the thin line and the several lines headed for it. It struck her as odd and made her own inner eye tingle in confusion, but as to why she did not understand, and still she said nothing.

If there had been no threat to begin with, there was certainly no need to pose as one. However, he felt different about it. ”I’d rather be safe, than sorry.” he answered, his expression indifferent and distant. He remained silent, and only spoke when necessary. He wondered what this woman wanted to do, what she wanted to know, but then again, not everyone has been exposed to such a.. strange sight. Not a single person looked like him. They looked normal whereas he.. Many called him a monster. A monster that was once the most beautiful child in his tribe. The one with the highest net worth. God knows just what kind of money they could make out with the crystals they harvested from his skin. When she would further question his motives for being here, he would heave a small frustrated sigh, however, Alistair would seem more relaxed that he had been just moments earlier. Women and children, he was more gentle around. Men, maybe not so much. Zamora was her name, and with that, his guard would be lowered ever so slightly, but with each movement she made, albeit brief, his shoulders would tense up once more. ”I am a medium between the god and its followers. I establish a form of communication between both parties.” he kept his answers brief, quite unsure of how he should answer such questions himself. ”I’ve stayed at the Maude for as long as I could remember. I simply.. do not fancy the gaze I receive from citizens.” he kept it brief as well. The priest was afraid, not that he cared to admit such a thing. He didn’t want to experience what he had been put through years ago, not any longer, but it seems, nature was working against him at the moment. The sounds of hooves against the ground could be heard, steadily growing louder. He tore his gaze away from her, his hands already prepared to pull out the sword he carried beneath his cloak. Alistair bared his fangs and growled, the roar of a dragon sounded from his vocal chords. His wings flapped behind him which would inevitably bring a gust of wind, clearing the dust that had surrounded them. He was hostile, there was no doubt about it. Bows and arrows, it irked him terribly. Was he to be hunted now? Was he about to be sold off to merchants in the black market? He wasn’t having any of it. Not when he was simply trying to enjoy the scenery this nature had to offer. His eyes fell upon the woman. Zamora. Was it her idea? He clicked his tongue in annoyance, before his gaze has been directed to the man that approached him. Most likely the chieftan. He held an air of authority. Was he not allowed to roam here if this land has been occupied? How dare he. ”Should you wish to keep your heads intact. I suggest you order your people to lower their weapons right this moment. Pointing your arrows at the High Priest.. The empire will not tolerate such unreasonable actions.” Alistair muttered, already frustrated with the woman that approached him earlier. With the rest of their people, and showing such hostility, it only riled him up even further. Needless to say, Alistair was terribly furious. ”You and your people occupied the far side of this land, while I, on the other. I find it utterly despicable to pose a threat when the other, had simply been on about their business.” he paused. ”You dare deny the right of a person, exploring the land he once grew up in? How outrageous.” his voice was low, a deep baritone. The thin line upon his forehead would part ever so slightly and instead of an eye one would find within its sockets, it was completely hollow, and the marks upon his forehead would extend ever so slightly towards his third eye. Should he use it recklessly, his days would be shortened tremendously. Alistair was no skilled fighter, but he would not be pressured out of this area simply because a group of.. barbarians had somehow ‘claimed’ it as their territory. For now. His third eye, a quarter opened, was emitting an ominous aura. It was dark, most likely to leave an uneasy feeling within the hearts of others. They were warned, and Alistair was not afraid, for he would not go down without a fight. Not this time. ▇ ▇▇ ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇Out.Of.Crocodiles: Sorry for the crappy post-- ;A ; I hope this is alright--

Zamora shrugged slightly before listening to him answer her question. Yes it had been a brief answer and didn't give her much information, but it was satisfying none the less. "Sounds dull." She murmured before giving a slight nod. "Makes sense if one is different." She stated in a bemused tone before her own little growl would be heard. It seemed that her attentions towards the stranger would be completely cut short as her husband and some of the warriors came out to find out what was going on. Naturally she listened to the exchange before standing up and rolling her eyes. "Yhudah stop being cruel! He is not a threat to us, so do not threaten him." She hissed before giving a slight bow to the high priest and moving to walk back to the encampment. The last thing she wanted was to cause someone unnecessary problems all because she had been curious about them.

Part of the role, ya know? >//< Yhudah, Chieftain of the Guzul Yhudah felt bad for dragging his slave away with him when he did, but not because of his actions. Strega's saddened face had reminded the man of a girl in his youth, back when he was but a pup learning to throw a proper haymaker. The girl was a friend of his and was the daughter a butcher so she always would gift him meat when there were extra scraps to put some meat on Yhudah's bones. In all honesty, it made him want to make things up to Strega when this issue with the mysterious man was over. Here near the man with silver hair and skin most unusual his wife stand up for the stranger. While it did slightly strike at his jealous nature the chief was smiling at the man and how he stood his ground as if he had any real right to the land himself. "I like you stranger. You show a lot of heart." He says, noticing the dark and peculiar aura which perfumated from the man. "My wife says you are of no threat, but I disagree. While I spit on the crown of your emperor I do hold respect for the powers that be the gods of this world." And it was because this man was a priest that Yhudah would command his people to lower their weapon with the signal of his hand. The many horsemen surround the area would do as commanded but stay their place. If the man was true to his word then there should be no issues between him and their chief, but just as a precaution they were ready to arm their bows again on the drop of a dime should a fight brake out. "I am Yhudah, chieftain of the Guzul clan. What is your name stranger and what is your true porous here?" He would have his horse take only a few steps closer to the priest to see his face a little better and so that his slave could get a good look at him to to let her master know if this man was speaking with lies or not. He did trust Zamora but he had to be sure. This was a man in charge of an entire clan and he was not gonna risk their safety on the weight of a stranger's words.

She looked back at Yhudah "besides, this isn't your land he has every right to be here" she said, she would have crossed her arms if they wearnt bond behind her. (Sorry for shortness.)

Instead, he simply turned around and left, ignoring their presence and simply moving to a.. less crowded spot. Definitely an area that was much quieter. "I would much prefer to spit on the head of my ruler, very much like you. However, he does hold authority, and I don't have the power to defy him." at least that was what they have in common. His --most likely to be-- wife returned to his side, lecturing(?) him for being rude. His crystal gaze returned to her, and he'd give her a faint nod while his lips, would curve up into a faint smile, though only for a brief moment before it'd disappear. One of his companion would arrive shortly after, and his eyebrows would raise at the words she said. It seemed fairly amusing, how the followers would seem more.. sophisticated compared to their leader. Perhaps he should learn from them, this Yhudah guy. It was an aspect he most obviously lacked. When his reason would once again be questioned for the nth time today, Alistair would click his tongue in annoyance, though he'd still give a brief answer. If it meant getting them out of his face, he would prefer to get it over and done with. "I've told you. No matter how many times you ask, my answer would be the same. I simply came to explore the land I once grew up in. Is that so hard to understand." he moved beside the river, sitting by the bank and running his fingers across the surface of the water. It always managed to calm his nerves, somehow. "But it seems my time here has been unpleasant after you tried to chase me out of the self-proclaimed land that you owned."▇ ▇▇ ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇

It seems the tribal chief had been a little overly aggressive to the so called priest but he felt no shame in it, only agitation to the girls who sided against him. Yhudah would have his horse turn so that he may face the other riders and with some tribal sounds he would signal his warriors to be at ease and return to camp. "You have convinced me you don't wish my tribe harm. While other would apologize here to don't expect that from me. I don't own the land but the safety of my tribe is mine to bare.
