"She is vicious," Cas said with a shake of his head, taking another bite out of his food. The four of them had made short work of all their food, he noticed contentedly as he spooned one last bit of pasta onto his place. "Hey, I'm a firefighter, not a dog trainer," Rylan said in his own defense with a grin. "And unlike the other two, Fidge didn't need to be taught the meaning of the word 'no.'" Just then, the waiter stopped by to ask if they would need some dessert menus. After enthusiastic nodding from Cas and equally insistent head-shaking from Rylan, they all found themselves with menus in their hands. "They always do this," Rylan said, attempting to complain when really he found it quite funny. The staff knew him well enough at this point to know it was just a gag.

Jo practically preened. "You'd have me no other way~" she hummed to Cas, though Rylan's words earned another grin. "You keep this company, Ry. Don't make yourself blameless in all this." Lucas hooked a thumb at the woman. "She said it, not me." But his tone clearly indicated he agreed, finishing up his plate of food. The dessert menu offered to him was taken, a brow arched at the firefighter's comment, keeping the menu itself closed with his arms folded over it. "Can't blame them for trying to wear you down. They'd be famous -- " "No, no," she interrupted, " I wore him down. He eats my cookies." The look she shot Rylan was almost challenging. "And that was years of trial and error. These amateurs don't stand a chance." Apparently, her martini or two had taken a small hold, making her a little sharper tongued and playful. The dark-haired man raised his brows, looking at Rylan and then to Cas without moving his head, as if he was afraid of drawing fire onto himself. "I'm just full, but I'm game to order this guy a slice of something anyway." Grey eyes slid to Rylan, his smile small and gentle.

"Just don't get the cheesecake," Rylan warned. "And I sometimes eat a few cookies. Let's not think this is going to become a regular thing." Cas chuckled, knowing that eat sweets was a big deal for his friend. "He's like that kid who doesn't like chocolate," he said. "And he's not subtle about it either." Rylan allowed himself a shrug in agreement. "That's probably why I got beat up in middle school." That and the fact that he'd been a pretty small child before puberty had hit him like a freight train. "They'd beat you up for it now if you weren't a ******** giant," Cas said, rolling his eyes. "Alright, so desserts for everyone else? What are we thinking, tiramisu, fruit tart, ice cream?"

Jo settled back against the booth with a sort of self-satisfaction, expression nearly smug. "That's fine. It's more for us." She was never really offended by Rylan's dislike, but damn if she didn't try to break down that barrier. "They'd have to get through me," Lucas immediately said, irregardless of his past with Cas. He took Rylan's hand then, beneath the table, and squeezed it as if to say, I swear I'm not starting s**t. "And you, I'd imagine. Between the two of us, I think we'd be a hell of a wall against the chocolate lovers." He wore a small smile, and then took it another step forward. "You order what you want, I'm gonna pass with my fella here. Solidarity and all that." "Don't you dare start a sweets war, mister, you will lose. I will drown you in buttercreme." Jo laughed, waving off a hand that said she was mostly joking. If she got buzzed, though, there'd be trouble. "You guys are missing out on the whiskey cake!" She pointed to it in the menu. "C'mon, a bite isn't going to kill any of you." Lucas wore the most amused look on his face, glancing to Cas and then back to Jo. The words were practically on his tongue - don't underestimate my bite - but he managed to let it go. "Ry is driving, don't test how much of a light weight he might be." Teasing, of course, but he was enjoying the opportunity to jab at both of the Wonder Twins, not just Cas.

"Sure would," Cas said in agreement. "Not that this guy needs any help in a fight." He'd be Team Captain America at the first call, but Rylan needed protection about as much as a tank did. If anything, the firefighter would probably just bust through whatever wall of defense they tried to put up. "How about we just get two things for the table, and if they want to eat a few bites, they can?" he continued, studying the menu. The whiskey cake did sound wonderful. And then maybe ice cream. "It's been a while since I've had whiskey. You never know," Rylan agreed. "Might be enough to make driving home a little perilous." "Just for you two," Cas answered with a twinkle in his eye. "I think Jo and I need to stay for another round of three of martinis."

Lucas look utterly pleased when Rylan conceded, relaxing back in the booth and continuing to hold the man's hand, going so far as to cover it with his mechanical one as well. "He could kick our asses, but it's the thought that counts. I think." He cast the firefighter a glance that was a bit more playful, a bit less dour. "Since the king of sweets has spoken, I suppose I'll partake too." A grin followed the words, fairly amused at Jo picking on all of them equally and the other two taking it in stride. " Oh?" the blonde had to make an effort to control her grin, amusement making her green eyes bright. "Well. If Stark has spoken, who am I to say otherwise." Jo looked coyly over her shoulder at Cas, her attention clearly grabbed. The werewolf arched a brow and cast a sidelong glance at Rylan. "So am I taking you home, then, or do you think they'll figure out how to get to Jo's on multiple martini's...?"

Cas nodded sagely while Rylan chuckled. "Nah," he said to Lucas. "They're grown a** adults, they can find their own way back." To which Cas grinned in agreement and gave Jo a promising wink, because clearly, the two of them were the more adventurous pair in this outing. They put in their dessert orders and the waiter promptly whisked the desserts out of the kitchen along with a check for whenever they were ready. Rylan promptly snagged the bill and stuck his credit card in. "This one's on me," he said.

Lucas arched a brow to point out the obvious without words -- grown a** adults who wanted to get drunk and then try to find their way home -- but he was not against the brief ride home with Rylan to himself. With a shrug, he let it go, leaning against the back of the booth, fingers still curled above Rylan's knee. And for all her opinion, Jo grinned at the firefighter. It wasn't far off from their first meeting anyway. "I have no promises he'll come back in one piece," she chimed, turning her head to kiss Cas' shoulder. Dessert passed quickly, at least -- given that most of them were full or otherwise disinterested -- and clearly, two of them had plans. "Thanks, babe," Lucas murmured with surprise, though it only took a brief glance at his face to know he was already thinking of where to hide some money in Rylan's truck to help out. He barely waited for the bill to be paid before he slid out of the booth, ready to head out. "Let's let these two...special ones continue their night," he commented, recalling Jo's description of their relationship. For her part, Jo was content to hold the spoon she'd used partially between her lips, tongue cleaning off the remains of the whiskey cake (which she was quite impressed by -- already starting to model something in her head that would be better and she could sell). Languid, she put the utensil down and slid out of the booth long enough to embrace Rylan, kissing his cheek with a 'Thank you~' that encompassed more than the dinner, even imparting a hug to his boyfriend. "Nice to meet you. Take care of him, would you?" Lucas happily accepted the hug, returning it fondly and giving her a crooked smile. "You probably know better than I that Ry doesn't allow that," he cast a glance at his boyfriend, "but I try. Goodness knows I try." Looking over to Cas, he nodded his head, polite. "And you have fun, man."

"It's not in my nature," Rylan agreed with a smile, returning Jo's hug and kiss and stepping back to let her and Lucas say goodbye. Cas followed Jo out of the booth and wrapped his arms around Rylan in a hug. "You need to stop paying for s**t," he said with a grin of his own, nodding at Lucas in an equally polite gesture. "That's never stopped you before," Rylan said as they came out of the hug. "Ah. Well, you've always had more money than me, I guess," Cas answered with a cheeky shrug, but they both knew that it all came out in a wash at the end of the day. Neither of them were too attached to material things, and money least of all if the alternative was great company. "Alright, well, you kids enjoy yourselves. Don't get into too much trouble. God knows I draw the line at bailing you out of jail," Rylan said as he turned toward the door, one hand on Lucas' back. "We won't promise anything," Cas replied as he took Jo's hand. "Bar?"

The werewolf looked terribly pleased with Rylan at his side, lifting a hand in farewell. "I don't, if there's a good story with it. Have fun guys." Jo grinned and shook her head at the two as they left, turning her full attention upon Cas. "To start," she agreed, mischief in her manner. "But the evening sure wont end there." MoonRazor DUN DUN DUUUUUN... I mean, FIN.
