We are not on equal footing. True; but rudeness as rudeness, and Mera wasn't going to take claims standing down. No one else who was 'qualified' was stepping up. Indeed, if she wanted, she could point out the space captain was a lowblood, but she didn't want to drag esteemed adults into this. Instead, the tealblood watched Eridia's actions bite her in the behind.
Eridia called her weak. Hemera could laugh. Did the purpleblood think she could hurt her with such words? She knew nothing. Hemera's posture stayed straight while she watched Eridia leave. Of course Eridia wouldn't learn a damn thing from this.
Interestingly, though, Chiara hadn't said anything. Suspicious. As Mera scanned the room to see what the rest of the trolls might be thinking. Her gaze lingered on the brownblood, who was looking down at her lap. Hmmm.... The troll who Eridia seemed to know. She considered that for later.
She looked to Panili again, politely, when Panili spoke up again. She could only give a slight nod, before being startled by Jovian's interjection. Hemera blinked. Jovian remembered her, first of all, making her blush a little. Her jaw almost dropped as the conversation continued. Delegating? In charge? They were giving her a role in all this?
Hemera couldn't believe it. She swallowed, throat dry and face a bit teal. Never before in her life had she... Could she even...
Yes. Absolutely. She had to. Eridia would see. All the highbloods who though she was just a toy. She would show them all.
The tealblood pushed back her chair and stood up. "Thank you for this opportunity, even if the circumstances are troubling indeed. All of you. We will not let you down."
She turned to the remaining trolls around her age and younger. Hopefully they were willing to follow through with this, follow her. "My name is Hemera Moachm, and I'm honored to work with all of you on this. Now. We will need volunteers for each side. A good number, as close to an even split as we can, I should think. Those of you here who work best together should buddy up. It may take the pressure off a little. Who wants to go to Civisect? Chittentown?"

Sephos peered out from his refuge, watching as the tealblood took the lead. Apparently, he had to pick sides; He didn't want to go to Civisect, that was for sure. He'd had enough of that place, with it's tall buildings and foul sea winds and Bloodfest. "Gonna go to Chittentown." he grunted, returning to the room and leaning on a wall there. Chittentown... He'd at least never been there before and... He looked over at Panili.
That too.
