Oliver tried not to make a face. It didn't feel right to not pay him, even if Reuben said it was alright. But, if he didn't want money, maybe he'd be interested in the recipe for the ice tea he'd shared? He smiled at the thought.

"Well, if not money, I could offer you the recipe for the ice tea I brought with me, if you'd like?" He said, eyes still closed. "Since you like to grow herbs and plants, it should be easy for you to brew at home or at work."

The blond snorted. He was trying, really, he was! He just wasn't the sort of person who's mind easily cleared. Being a teacher and a writer kind of gave you a head full of thoughts and ideas. It wasn't easy for him to ignore his thoughts or just watch them go by. However, he was by no means saying that he couldn't and he really wanted to give it his best shot. It would be good for him to learn how to do this, so when he encountered times where he needed to calm down, he could do so easily. He took a few deep breaths, in time with Reuben, and nodded to himself.

"Okay, you can stop shuffling." He replied, relaxing his shoulders. "I think I'm ready."

Reuben, with his eyes still closed, smirked a bit. "That recipe would be lovely, I'll take it," he replied, shaking his head a bit as he got back into the meditation portion of the reading.

Reu listened to the shuffling of the cards. It was always a beautiful sound that he loved. The fluttering noise of the cards hitting each other made it that much easier to meditate and clear his mind.

Finally, Oliver stated that he should stop shuffling. Reuben finished the motion and quickly cut the deck with his left hand. "Alright, you can open your eyes now," Reu stated.

Finally, it was time to pull the cards. Reuben pulled the first one, it being the Ten of Winter. Then he pulled the second which ended up being The Wheel of Time, and finally the last card, The Fairy Bride. Looking at these cards in front of him, Reuben instantly could see a few things. Oliver was worrying a lot about something, anxiety overtook him a lot. But his luck would seem to change for the better, so that was good news.

Reuben smiled at the end of the reading and began to speak, telling him what he thought of the reading.

"So, I can tell by this reading that you've been worrying and anxious about life in general. That's what the Ten of Winter basically represents. Manifestation of physical or mental fear that is overtaking you and causing you potential problems in other, if not all, areas of your life," he began, a concerned look on his face when he finished. But, that brightened right back up as he continued, "But, don't fear, as it seems that soon that will change for the better. Your luck will be turning around, I feel, as long as you go with whatever your gut has to say. Be sure to take your instincts and run with them, don't let your anxiety tell you otherwise, just go with your gut. And finally, as you may be able to tell by the final card, The Fairy Bride represents love," he stated, as he couldn't help but blush a bit in reaction to it. He never tried to think that way, but fate did end up bringing them together today, though who knew what the future held. The cards weren't specific enough for that. "So, you never know! You could have a blossoming relationship or an old flame come back into your life. Who knows. It's all a possibility. Love is out there," he said, blushing a bit harder.

Reuben cleared his throat and then spoke once more, "So yeah, that's the reading. I hope that was helpful?"

Oliver opened his eyes and lowered his gaze to the deck of cards. He watched Reuben pull three cards, each with beautiful imagery and words to go with them, and tilted his head. Surely Reuben would explain what they meant, but from his perspective, these cards looked like fancy piece of art and little else. He sat back and blinked, only moving his head up when Reuben spoke.

And, boy. Did he hit him right on the nose.

He looked the Ten of Winter card over like it had accused him of a crime. Worries, anxieties, potential problems, all of these things were true. Being told to follow his gut didn't really do much to soothe his nerves, either. His gut lead him to some interesting places. He wasn't sure if he could trust it. However, the rest of the reading was very positive. Things seemed like they would turn out for the better... The blond took a deep breath through his nose and, slowly, brought himself to nod.

"Thank you, it was... Helpful." He replied, a blush of his own rising against his cheeks. "I don't know about a new relationship just yet, but if one were to happen upon me, I can't say I would turn them down. ... This dumb heart of mine is easily swayed, after all."

He chuckled and cleared his throat, before reaching for his bag again.

"Let me write that recipe down for you." He continued, rummaging for a pen. "... Do you have a business card by any chance? I think I know some other people who would be interested in a reading or herbs from your shop."

Reuben looked over the cards once more with a smile, especially once glancing over the Fairy Bride once more. He grabbed them all up and shuffled the deck a few times to clear the energies from the reading. He placed them back into their specified pouch and slipped it right back into his bag. "Thank you, I'd really appreciate that," he began with a smile,
"Ah, yes, I do actually," he stated, digging through his bag a bit to find a business card.

Finally, the card showed itself and he pulled it out. The title, "The Mystic Herb" printed along the top, underneath it had his name, address and telephone number. Flipping it a bit, he held it out between his fingers out for the blond.

"I'm really glad the reading was helpful. If you ever need another reading for any reason, feel free to stop by," he said with a smile.

Oliver had found his pen and a small writing pad from his bag and was busy jotting down each step of his iced tea recipe. It was only a handful of steps and waiting, not too much of a major thing, but he hoped it wouldn't be too difficult to try. He smiled, capped the pen, and exchanged what he'd written for Reuben's business card.

"I'm glad I met you today, Reuben. That reading was just what I needed." He said, nodding along. "I'll certainly keep you in mind and," He paused, waving the business card a little. "I'll send a few of my friends over to you. I'm sure you can brighten a lot of people's days with what you do. I know you've made mine a whole lot better than before."

Reuben smiled when the papers were exchanged. Now he had a yummy new recipe for some wonderful iced tea. He placed the recipe in his bag and stood up.

When the man was finished speaking, Reuben nodded and spoke, "Yes, it was definitely a pleasure to meet you as well, Oliver. I'm truly glad that today was beneficial for you. I certainly hope that we will be able to meet again in the future; and yes, please do spread the word. Can't ever have enough clientele."

With that, Reuben heaved the bag upon his shoulder and began the trek back towards his house with a renewed spirit and a smile plastered across his face. 'Trust me, Oliver, you brightened my day too,' he thought to himself with a flushed face.
