She dodged where she could; Chel was much more of a "wear them down until they're tired" type of fighter.
"Yeah, focus and meditate and s**t. That's what I mean." She vaguely wondered if Shun did yoga.

"No. You are talking too much," he hissed as he continued to make his strikes. It didn't seem like he was going to back down yet.

"Or maybe yer- ggh-" She held her side as Shun landed a very solid punch. Then through clenched teeth she continued, "-Talkin' too little."
Shun was obviously going to win this but Chel was fine pretending she was putting up a fight for however much longer it took. Funny how she'd just gotten all the bruises and cuts gone or scarred over and now she was replacing them.
She lurched forward, clumsily throwing a fist towards his chest in an attempt to knock him back a bit.

Her clumsy punch was pretty well telegraphed for Shun. As she came forward, he stepped to the side, pushing her fist away with his palm. This hand soon tried to close around her wrist while the other moved towards her shoulder. With some shifting of his feet and weight, he basically tried to take her down to the mat.

And down she went, as his shoulder grip pinched the wrong nerve. With her cheek to the mat she looked up at him with a squished smile. "Seem t'remember you doin' this different."

Shun kept her pinned down for a moment or so, then let out a huff.
"Are you done, now?"
He wasn't going to assume she yield, lest he take a suckerpunch for it.

"Sure," she said. She hadn't lasted long but it hadn't been her intention. "Unless you wanna move this back t'yer place." She said that part with a snort. Chel took very little seriously.

At that, Shun released her and got back up to his feet, dusting himself off a bit.
"You need a lot of work," he mumbled. That wasn't a particularly satisfying spar on his part, "And I am surprised you would even want to return to my current residence."

"So that's not no," she retorted, ignoring the first comment. She put her palms to the mat and pushed herself up, taking a deep breathe to try to return some of the air back to her lungs.
"Feel better?"

"Why are you asking me that? You kicked me once."

"Harsh- I meant you got your trainin' in or whatever? I can prolly go for another round." She put up her fists to show as much. She knew training was important to him.

"I do not gain much sparring with you," he stated flatly, "And at this rate, the only thing you gain from sparring with me is more bruises."

"Eh, points fer tryin'." She didn't really feel like she was going to have a painting of bruises, but she wouldn't force Shun to fight her either. "Right?"

Rolling his shoulders lightly, he just looked around, then went on to hop out of the ring. He still had more training to do. The bags will have to suffice for the rest of his time at the gym, he supposed.

She rolled her eyes and went to lean on the side of the ring. "I'll only get better f'we keep at it. Let's make this a thing. I'll get Chris t'help me too."
