Naqenni || 6Naqenni’s eyelids pinched into slits for a moment. A brief snap of a moment. The best for me… Then, her expression relaxed, and something almost akin to a smirk plucked at the corner of her lip, far more smug than she had any right to be. “Yes. Second-best is best for you. It looks good on you.” That said, she moved back, stepping in line with Ceylinae and watching as the Matron invited the younglings forward. It seemed as though there were more every day, blooming like spring flowers, and some so small still. Inadvertently, Naqenni’s posture shifted, shoulder brushing a half-inch closer to her bloom-sister. Quick though she was to speak up of herself at the expense of others, Ceylinae and Ku were her closest sisters, and Naqenni felt more kin to them than anyone else in the tribe save, perhaps, her mothers arguably—and Elzira herself.

Ceylinae - Post 7 Ceylinae gave a little twitch, feeling the overwhelming desire to stick her foot out and trip her sister up... but didn't. She meant to look her best when it came to this particular festival. Tomorrow though all bets were off and if she saw the opening she'd be only too happy to see her sister face plant into the Yaelian soil. Giving her sweetest smile she said, "Everything looks good on me, you're just jealous, Naqenni." Ceylinae said with all sorts of false bravado. She only wished she was as confident as all of that, but she'd do her best to fake it best that she could while her sister was here at her side. Turning so moved away from Elzira, allowing their little sisters to come up to get their flowers as well. She couldn't help but to smile a little, hoping that their little sisters were made strong by the nectar, so that they would be ready to get to training. There were some that didn't seem to be as eager to get into training but surely some of them were interested, right? She'd like to believe so at least. "Here's to hoping the nectar strengthens our sisters and gives them a boost they need to actually start training." The Elaria needed more then just Naqenni and herself if they meant to become a powerful tribe after all.

Naqenni || 7
Jealous.
Naqenni gave a terse scoff of disagreement, the sound coming from between pinched teeth, and she opened her mouth for, ‘I am jealous of nothing…’ but a gaggle of younglings scurried by, bubbling with noise and chatter, and the air around them was alive and smelling of nectar. She licked her thumb, as though cleaning it of some imaginary residue left from her flower, and let the bud drop to hang at her side, clasped loose in her grasp.
“You do always look very pretty.”
Blessedly, the subject changed. Her expression eased, though renewed seriousness permeated it.
“Whether it does or not, they will train,” Naqenni said. “They are all soldiers.” Whether they knew it yet or not.
But surely, surely they all knew.

Ceylinae - Post 8 Ceylinae glanced around at some of her little sisters and nodded, "Yeah. We won't be able to grow into a powerful tribe capable of defending our village if they don't." It was imperative that their little sisters got stronger, putting in as much training as the two of them were doing if not more so in an effort to catch up with the two of them. They would also need to look into the training that Ku was doing, to make sure that she was doing well in getting stronger. Glancing at her sister she asked of her, "Do you know if Ku is keeping up with her training?" Given that she was one of the 'first three' it was important that she kept up with them. She might have to seek Ku out at some point, to see how she was fairing, and maybe invite her in on one of her training sessions, it could be fun. Not that she would let anyone think that she was training only for fun or something, she just had fun when she was training was all. Waving off the thought she gave a smile to her sister and said, "I guess the three of us," So long as Ku was training, "We will have to lead by example for our little sisters."

Zinris
There were the perfect number of lotuses for the number of elaria born since the banishment. The Matron grinned at her place near the tree, it was a sign from Elzira that good things were to come. "Sisters! We rejoice at the kindness of Elzira and our legacy of Elaria! It is only time until Elzira is strong enough to bless us all with her nectar." She called out to the crowd.
The other appointed elders ushered the group to the bonfires, where they would celebrate the year that had passed and the years to come. It was a happy time for them all, and soon enough it was time for the night to come to a close. With sleep in their eyes, the elaria went to bed that night with the taste of Elzira's nectar on their lips. The Alkidike women slept knowing that their children and the village's younglings were blessed.
