"Startin' t'think yer stalkin' me," she told him with a grin on her face. She had been adjusting some of the shelves in the back (someone was a little drunk and knocked some things over) when he walked in and gave him a little wave before returning to the activity.
"Depends on what kinda high you wanna ride I guess," she said with a shrug. "An' what makes you think m'professional?"

Seven Eleven – Tuesday, 10:56 amSmiling, Marcus made his way over to the non-foods aisle, slowly running the detector up and down. Nothing was going off. But- a faintly louder beep was made as he moved past one part. Holding it to the items got no reaction so he made his way to the other side. Where the EMF detector began to beep very loudly. At a bag of flaming hot Doritos. Picking the bag up, it was for all he could tell, a normal bag of chips. Just with a very strong magnetic field? Holding it to metal got no reaction, but, it was worth investigating. He could show... well. He could show someone. Making his way to retrieve his slurpee, the bag suddenly flew from his ham and slammed into the glass door that housed frozen foods with a dull thud and crinkle of the bag. Jumping up with a yelp he stared at it. It didn't move. Edging closer, he pulled it, (with a bit of force) from the freezer door, opening the freezer only to have the bag once more fly from his hand to stick itself to a frozen burrito. Marcus was transfixed. Grabbing the burrito and chips with one hand, his slurpee in the other, he rushed to the counter, excitedly setting his drink down and separating the chips and frozen food. Only for them to slide back together. Like magnets. Marcus was saying nothing at this point, just continually separating the two products and watching them zip back to each other on the counter. He looked up at Chel, grinned, and resumed his magnetic food act.

Honestly?
Chel had seen weirder things. He was probably drunk.
She went back to checking her phone.

Shun just gave a flat look, then went ahead and paid her. Once that was done with, he gathered up his purchased items, then silently left the store.

Sunday 11:03PM "Obviously I have nothing better to do with my time," Thorne retorted, his grin crooked on his face as he browsed the obscene amount of diabetes-inducing sweets the 7-11 had to offer. Maybe if he just ingested enough of the slurpee machine he would achieve the same results. "An all-night, thought-erasing sugar high." Thorne glanced at her as he ruffled the back of his hair and sighed. "I imagine you're a little more creative than me. If it was my choice I would just buy three cartons of icecream and marathon eating them in a row. Until I died."

Tuesday - 10:56AMA few times he did the whole food magnet trick before he noticed that the frozen burrito was melting a bit of the ice from the plastic, getting the tabble a tiny bit wet. "Oh." Brought back to reality, he looked up at Chel and asked as he pulled out his wallet. "How much? I put two flavors in the slurpee. Is that alright?" He wasn't sure if they'd charge extra. They never had, but, he expected they would once day. Microtransactions were the way of the future.

"You need drugs," she told him simple, rolling her eyes. "Only 11 year olds get shitfaced on sugar."

She sighed- she was going to have to clean that up later. Drunk people were always such a pleasure.
She pocketed her phone once more when he was done with his little magic trick and said, "Technically yer not supposed to but I don't give a s**t. Graveyard it for all I care." The actual cost of a slurpee actually came in the purchase of the cup, but Chel didn't think the semantics of slurpee purchases was a worth endeavor.
Scanning the items came to a grand total of $12.65, which he could read across the cash register, but she said out loud just to be sure. "12.65."

Saturday, 2:34 pmHonestly, Jamie was prepared to pay for his drink and scurry home with his tail between his legs. After all, he'd already caused her trouble and loitering would only make him more of a nuisance. Wouldn't it...?
Looking up from the icee, he made the vaguest of attempts at eye contact, but it was obvious he still couldn't manage completely.
"I, um- Y-Yeah, can I...?" It was nerve-wracking to stay, but Jamie already felt a little less awful about himself when he considered making up for his mistake.

Sunday 11:03PM"Short notice makes those hard," Thorne retorted back, deadpan. "And I'm trying to set a standard. Maybe." He wasn't really sure he was qualified to set standards anymore, but whatever.

Was Chel probably going to get in trouble with her boss later? Yes. Did it matter to her? No.
"Sure. Here." She rolled the little water bucket over to him; it was the industrial kind with a water squeezer and everything. "You be in charge of squeezing the water out when I need it yeah? Then we're even."

Monday, 1:43amHis first class started in seven hours and seventeen minutes and Chester couldn't sleep. It was only math, a subject he happened to enjoy, but even attending school here in the first place felt like admitting defeat, or worse. He had almost accepted that he wasn't good enough for MIT. What if he wasn't good enough for Rider-Waite either?
He spent ten minutes locking his bike to the stand outside before he went in, shoulders hunched in an effort to be less conspicuous. Upon entering, he immediately spoke to the girl behind the counter, negating any opportunity to be stealthy he might have had.
"Do you sell shoe polish, by any chance?"chiickadeeissneakylikevax

Saturday, 2:34 pmIt sounded easy enough, even Jamie believed he could manage that much. Letting out a wobbly sigh, he tried to settle himself, to tell himself it was okay. Look, Chel was calm, so it was time to stop freaking out. Jamie wasn't very good at convincing himself yet, but the new people he'd met in the past couple months had helped with that.
Hand on the mop wringer, Jamie finally looked up at Chel. When he let his eyes linger he had to admit, she looked more familiar than he'd realized. Where... had he seen her?
"I'm, um, ready..."

Chel was in that mood where she'd been sitting at the counter for about two hours now and was starting to get bored. She had actually been debating bringing in some nail polish for these wee hours, but for now had to settle for her phone and a few silly apps.
"Eh? Uh. M'not sure, but f'we did it'd be in that aisle," she said, pointing with one hand.
For the record, she had watched that travesty with the bike. She was just nice enough not to call it out.
