Maria got into uniform. Turns out she was on the red team which consisted of Marco, Ichiro, Phoebe, Ava, and Faye. Getting mentally prepared for the ancient soccer game, she noticed Silvano. He’d been on her mind since she saw him at the fishing game, so of course despite hating anything physical he was playing. She was also against Iris, Koru, Kirsi, Nirav, and Elysia. They could pull it off she was sure. Be positive right?
Getting the rules and everything run down, Maria was slightly not prepared to be named the captain of the red team. Taking a breath she stepped up with Kirsi for the coin toss. Watching the result it looked like they would start on the defensive, worked for her. At the start Nirav got the ball. Maria prepared herself to block the shot. Sadly she missed the ball. Luckily Ava was able to do what she couldn’t. “Nice block Ava.” Maria called out to the girl. Despite how well they were doing no one managed to block Kirsi’s shot, giving the blue team with a one point lead. Getting ready for the second round Maria was optimistic. They could make a comeback.

Iris walked with Silvano back to where the soccer game was going to happen. She was happy that she was able to call Silvano by his firs name. They had returned just in time to see that the game was going to start and that the times. She was hoping that they would be together since they had basically spent the rest of the day together. However that wasn't the case as they looked at the team board. Her and Antonio were on the blue team with her roommates Koru and Kirsi. However, this meant Faye was on the red team. She was joined with Marco and Maria and Ichiro. She was surprised that she would playing against her friends as well as with her friends. As much of a bummer that was, she wanted to play, have fun and win.
Quickly, she was off to get dressed in her blue uniform and returned to Silvano's side.Iris jumped a little when Silvano said that they should try their best and that they were going to win this. Iris seemed to be feeling that same feeling as she clenched her fists together in determination. "Yea!" she said. "Let's..kick butt!" She wasn't use to doing this kind of prep talk since she wasn't on this side of the field often. She watched some games before and played some small school games before coming here. They weren't of this caliber. Nonetheless, she was ready to play. She was excited to play.
Iris was smiling when the referee came out to explain the rules of the game. It was kinda like the modern game but still different that it made everyone be on equal ground. Iris could feel herself getting riled up to play.
Then the whistle blew...
------ Round one... so much happening as Iris was steadily getting her bearing on the game. Iris watched as Silvano had kicked the ball to another one of their teammates who kicked the ball and on the way to make their first goal when it was blocked by the red team. Next Silvano tried to get a shot in but missed the rim on the wall. "It's okay...It's okay!" Iris said as she ran to get the ball herself. Her feet shifted the ball onto her knee. She gave it a bounce to kick it but managed to instead make bounce off her head and still miss.
The round the coming to close when no points on either side when Kirsi surprised everyone with a last minute goal. Iris jumped up and down as the first round ended. It was one point but still that's more points than the red team.

Now it was round two. This time, it was the red team that was trying to make goals and the blue team blocking. Iris was moving around as much as she could. She watched as Marco attempted to make the first goal of the round but was blocked by Antonio. Iris immediately erupted in a squeal as she ran over to Antonio. "You did it, Antonio!!" Iris said as she wrapped her arms around him and jumped up and down. Acting as if that was winning block. However, it wasn't as Ichiro made his own attempt to score. Iris watched Koru take the stage and block the ball. Iris shouted in joy but then had to move as Maria had the ball. After as she got past her teammate, Iris ran to block the ball. Unfortunately, she didn't make, ending the round with score tied up.
Chance felt a tickling at the back of his head. A moment later, a puff of smoke fluttered over his head. He danced to the side and sneezed just as he felt Cyndaquil tumbling from his back. Chance whuffed, spinning and snuffling at his friend. "Groww grow?" [ Are you okay? ] When he knew Cyndaquil was okay, Chance starting whuffing a little, laughing. "Lithe!" [ That was fun! ] Chance thought about that place he went with Kirsi, where they went on stage and looked cool, and thought it would be fun to run around with Cyndaquil.
Almost as soon as Koru stopped talking, Kirsi froze. His rufflet is named...Rey. It could be a coincidence, but who the heck would name their pokemon like that? It would be like Kirsi naming her pokemon Kearsy or something. Is he really...Ray? But why does he have Rey with him? Did Rina trade him? Kirsi dragged herself from her thoughts, trying to listen to Koru, and asked her next question, she just had to know. That...sort of sounds like him? But then, how did he get to where he was right now? When she heard what Ray said, with how Koru was looking, shaking... Kirsi didn't even know how to describe what she felt right then. Like worry and dread and confusion all rolled into one. The words, "What did he say" died in her tummy. What could he have possibly said to make Koru worried like this? "Koru...no wonder..." Kirsi wasn't sure what to do either- what the heck do you do when your friend is feeling like this? Kirsi hesitantly touched Koru's arm. She didn't really understand what was going on, but she knew Koru and Ray were sad and upset. "Koru, it's not your fault." Kirsi struggled, reached for something to say. Suddenly, something popped into her head. An idea so crazy, so ridiculous, she definitely would never have said it if she wasn't so desperate to cheer Koru up. "We should-" Kirsi tightened her fingers around Koru's arm, giving it a squeeze as she gained confidence in her idea. "We should talk to Elijah! I'm sure if we explain to him he'll understand. And then he can help us talk to Ray!" Marcus may be a buttface keeping them from Ray, but Elijah would help them, right? "We'll talk to Ray, and then everything will be alright, you'll see!" Kirsi said it firmly, convincing herself and Koru. "Once the game is over, we'll-"
Just then, Kirsi was interrupted by someone telling them they needed to prepare for the game. Feeling determined, Kirsi pulled Koru up after her. "We've got this, Koru! Sit and stay by the bench, Chance!" They went to get changed, both in the same blue uniform. When they got out on the field, Kirsi was feeling nervous. She'd been picked as the team's captain (even if it was random) and that made her feel extra wanting to win. She waved hello to Maria, "Good luck," and then it was time for the game to start.
Round 1
Kirsi was shaking a little bit when the game started, nervous from the huge crowd. And also this game was really weird. The ball flew at her. "Wah!" She tried to shake her hip at it and sent the ball in the direction of one of her teammates, the one that always looked so fancy (Silvano). After another pass, another boy on her team (Nirav) shot the ball right for the goal hoop. "Yeah!" Then a girl on the other team blocked it. Kirsi growled and rushed toward the ball, getting it under control after Silvano tried to shoot. She tried to give it to another teammate and started going after the ball whenever it got away from the team. Slowly she got better at knocking it around, and managed to slam the ball in at the last second (it as at least half luck). "There we go!" Kirsi turned to her team and grinned, eyes alite. The pretty boy she'd passed to earlier (Silvano) cheered her on. Buoyed by her success, Kirsi decided to keep it going for the next round. "Let's keep it up guys!"
Way over by the bench Kirsi had been sitting on before the game, Chance whuffed, going up on his back legs for a moment before sitting back down with a thump. His eyes watched the ball without pause, imagining how great it would be to run after it. But nope nope nope! Kirsi told him to stay here so he'd stay here, right here!
Round 2
Kirsi was breathing a little too fast. She'd definitely being going too hard that last round. Too bad, she could keep this up forever, they were definitely going to win! "Nice block!" she called out to Silvano, glad that he was on her team. And Koru blocked a shot too! "Awesome, Koru!" Kirsi, determined to block a shot herself, kept her eye out for one that looked like it was going in. When she saw Maria's shot she dove. She almost blocked it, but just barely missed. Kirsi's heart pumped; she was so excited! The game was tied- they just had to keep this up and they could win.

Nirav hadn't been able to get anywhere close to getting a goal since his first attempt. Despite this, however, the game was going super well. He couldn't help but cheer for his teammates - people he really didn't know - as they scored more and more goals. By the 7th round, they were ahead by five points! Six points to one! It was so insane! As the game progressed, Nirav got more into it, something he honestly hadn't expected to happen. His applause and cheers for his teammates who did score got increasingly louder as they approached 10. He still wanted to try and help his team! One of the other boys had congratulated him for nearly making the goal; but Nirav was determined to score at least once! Or at least block something! So far, Nirav was the only one on the team who hadn't helped out the team. He could only hope that the others didn't notice that he wasn't scoring or defending for the team.
The ball came towards him once again. Kicking didn't seem to work the first time, so maybe something else would. Nirav wound back his arm and hit the ball with his wrist towards the goal, a lot less timidly than when the boy had tried in the first round of play. Like before, the ball was headed straight for the hoop. And also like before, the same nameless girl in red ran in, batting it away with her own wrist. So close! Who even was she? His small wrist throbbed, red and sore from the impact. That hurt a lot more than he thought it would! He shook off his hand, thankful that he didn't seem to break anything. Aside from that attempt, none others were made that round. A bit disappointed, he wiped his forehead of sweat and prepped himself to go on the defense. Despite the blocked goal, Nirav wasn't too concerned. It would take a lot for them to catch up!

Beads of salty sweat fell down Ava's face as the game went into the 7th round. After six completed rounds, all her team had to show for it was one measly goal. Just one! The blue team had a grand total of six, thanks to Kirsi, Antonio, and Iris. And with Koru and Elysia blocking the goals her teammates tried to make, they weren't getting very far. Round 5 was brutal, and round 6 wasn't much help. But Ava wasn't going to let them score anymore. Or, at least she would try her best on that front. They were back on defense, which for the past couple of rounds, meant her team getting creamed. Ava kept her chin up, and wiped her forehead clean just as it was starting again. Maybe this round would be different. No. She determined that this round would be different. No more scoring. Period.
There weren't very many good moves towards the goal this round, but the ball came to that one boy she had blocked before. The one who wore the turban. Maybe he was in her house or something? Ava honestly didn't know his name. But he slammed the ball with his wrist, smacking it straight towards the goal. Quick to react, Ava darted in its path, and slammed it back with her own wrist. Wow, wasn't this some serious deja vu? She looked at him as he shook his wrist. That must've hurt, not that Ava's wrist wasn't feeling a sting either, but the boy didn't seem super athletic. Nevertheless, it was one less goal for the blue team, and that was what mattered. Now that her team was going on offense again, Ava was determined to get her team some points.

Koru wasn't surprised by the silence brought after she had said everything. She didn't expect Kirsi to have any immediate answers, she certainly didn't anyway. She expressed her understanding of why Koru was feeling the way she had been but all Koru did was nod and wip a small tear away from her eye. Over with Growlithe Cyndaquil looked up noticing Koru looking sad again. He sulked a little, he didn't like seeing her this way again. He left Growlithe and rubbed his nose against Koru's ankle. She noticed and lifted him up and started to pet him. Kirsi then straight out told her it wasn't her fault, but she wasn't too sure of that right now,"I'm not really sure about that...What if he's going through something and I only made it worse? What if I said the wrong things, did the wrong things- I''m really bad at this stuff..." she started to question herself then go on to say how incapable she felt. She didn't want to put Kirsi into any of this either, it was bad enough she had drug her around the dance stage yesterday. She have known Ray but it was clear she didn't know anything and she didn't plan on starting any problems for another friend. She was about to suggest something but stopped,"Kirsi you don't-!" Koru felt Kirsi gripping her arm. Seemed she was flooding with a new confidence. She then shot out the idea talking to Elijah and getting him to explain to them. She didn't really know Elijah all that well but it was true that he may know something. Kirsi continued on to try and cheer her up with the idea getting to talk to Ray. Kirsi averted her gaze and smiled unsure, "Yeah- but he may not I mean if Marcus is keeping his distance-” she was interrupted by one of the workers for the game letting them know the game is set to begin. Kirsi lifted her from the bench, Cyndaquil jumping from her lap to the bench before he could be flung. As Kirsi told Chance to stay by the bench Koru did the same thing,"Stay with Chance okay Cyndaquil? Be sure to cheer for us!” They both went to get changed but when they came back out to the field Koru was surprised to find Kirsi got picked to be their team's captain. Koru shot her a confident thumbs up for support. She felt at ease knowing they were on the same team, she would have to do her best.
Round 1 Koru didn't waste any time in going into action when the game began. Back home she was always the first to go when the whistle blew, but she immediately came to realize this was not a normal game of soccer. She heard Kirsi scream and turn but swished her fist in the air happy that her team shot a goal right in the beginning,"Nice shot!” Koru tried to take a shot at shooting a goal but the ball handling in this game really weird and she ended up missing. She groaned but kept going around the field. Kirsi ended up getting the last shot in of the round and Koru jumped in the air,"Way to go Kirsi!”
Round 2 Round 2 Koru became more conscious of what she was doing. Seeing the game played out the first round she got the gist of what to do and headed for the red players who were handling the ball. The closest player Ichiro Sato had the ball, but she wasn't going to let it slip by. She swooped in and blocked his shot as it bounced off of him. There team was doing great on the defensive. Kirsi gave her a shout out and Koru went to her side and presented a double high five. Maria on the red ended up making a goal for the team- but Koru didn't feel agitated- in fact this felt really exciting!
As the game went on the blue team really hit their momentum, getting both goals for the following round and even stopping red from scoring at all. She hated to admit it but Silvano was really good at this. Koru did make the realization that she was better at blocking than scoring...though she would really like to score at some point. Kirsi was doing amazing. All those nerves she saw in her seemed to be completely gone now. While their team was ahead she didn't want to feel relaxed in their lead.
Final Round She was feeling the heat now. The team was still ahead but Koru was starting to feel a little fatigued. When the players started moving the red team came at them like they weren't tired or anything at all! They were taking the ball to the goal and Koru tried to block Phoebe, a girl she remembered for having a Charmander, but she fell to her knee missing the block. She looked on but after the goal- the game was over. Koru rose up and wiped the sweat from her brow and grew wide eyed at the announcement that the winners were: BLUE TEAM! Koru's smile grew to almost be the size of her face. She jumped in the air then went after Kirsi and hugged her off the ground and chuckled happily,"WE WON!” after everything that happened today it seemed something awesome happened today after all.
Olivier the referee's voice rang through the field after he blew his whistle to get everyone's attention. The Red Team and the Blue Team were separated so that everyone was on opposite sides. Olivier entered the center and raised his flag towards the Blue Team. "The winner of this game is...the Blue Team!" The crowded cheered for the winning team, "let's give all our participants a big round of applause! They tried their best and managed to give us an enjoyable match!" The crowd exploded into claps and shouts of congratulations to the students of Ordell Academy (the ones that participated in the game). The students were beginners in this game, no one expected a mind blowing game, but the crowd was still very supportive. Some students did very well, others were lucky, and some seemed to have discovered an aptitude for sports. Olivier enjoyed seeing the kids running around kicking, bumping and hitting the ball and he hoped they enjoyed it too.
"Thank you everyone for coming to watch the game, the prizes for the winners as well participation prizes will be handed to all students," the sky had already turned an orange color indicating that the afternoon was close to ending. Soon evening would come and by that time all children would be directed to return home. "Before we finish, I would like to award the following students for their amazing performances in this game. These students contributed to their teams by giving a strong offense and defense...can I please have Iris Haruno, Kirsi Rhodes, and Maria Taylor stepped forward." Olivier waited for the girls to come to him before continuing, "For being the best supportive members of your teams, please accept these extra prizes!" The referee handed each of them an evolution stone ticket along with their regular prizes for winning and participating.
"The following award goes to the students who turned the tides of the game for their respective team. Not only did they make a difference, but they have inspired us with their performance so without further ado...can I have Ava Stenson and Antonio Silvano come on up." Olivier smiled and waited for the students to come to him, "for being the best players of your team please accept these rare prizes!" Silvano was handed his evolution stone ticket and Ava was given her ticket as well. With all the prizes given, the game had officially ended and once again the crowd cheered for the students.
"Until we meet again, I am your official referee, Olivier! Have a good evening folks and we'll see you all tomorrow for the grand finale of the Festival!"

Location: Lamia Festival - Field
After hearing the rules and how the game was going to be played, Marco gulped realizing that he was way over his head. They had to make a ball go through a hoop that was on high on a pole using your feet, hips, and or wrists. The black-haired boy was a little nervous about the game, but he was already wished good luck by Tera and Holly who were not able to join the game so he had to try his best. Tera offered to watch his plushie while he played so he handed her the giant doll and smile when she held up the 'peace sign' with her fingers. Holly told him to kick butt, but he was just hoping that he wouldn't mess up for his team. Marco decided to leave his pokemon with the girls so Charmander and Murkrow would be able to enjoy the game from the bleachers. He petted his pokemon and then waved good bye at the girls as he went to the changing room after he was handed a uniform.
He recognize nearly everyone who was participating in the game. Among them was Koru, Iris, Faye, Maria, and Silvano. Marco frowned when he saw the dark-haired boy who hated his guts; they were not on the same team which he was thankful for, but it also meant that he would be playing against him. For some reason that made him feel a little more motivated about playing this game, he did not want to lose against him. Once everyone was changed and divided into their teams, everyone was instructed to enter the field where a referee was waiting for them. The man introduced himself and said his opening speech followed by calling over the team's respective leaders in order to flip a coin to determine who would go first. Blue Team would be starting this round meaning Red Team had to be on the defense.
A player from the Blue Team attempted to score, but he was stopped by a girl from the Red Team who used her hips to block the shot which was quite impressive. Blue Team continued their attack until eventually one of their players managed to score. Marco did a lot of running around, but he was not able to contribute at all during this round. The second round started and this time it was Red Team's turn to attack. Marco managed to get the ball and he decided to try his best and making a difference in this game. He readied his shot and took the opportunity by kicking the ball, but he was stopped! The black-haired boy's eyes widen when he saw who it was that blocked him; Silvano. He was really surprised since he came out of nowhere. A teammate tried to score, but he was also stopped and this time by Koru. The Blue Team was on fire this round, but Maria managed to score their first goal before the round ended. Unfortunately for them, the Blue Team's momentum did not stop and during this round Iris and Silvano scored a goal for their team. Marco couldn't do anything to stop them and the boy felt really frustrated at his lack of skill in this game. Round 4 was terrible for the Red Team and the following round continued with the Blue Team scoring three times! Once again by Silvano and Marco failed to stop him from scoring.
The Blue Team was dominating and for the next two rounds, each team blocked each other from scoring. The Blue Team was way ahead of them and the Red Team was really low with just one goal. However, on the last round two of their members managed to score, but that wasn't enough for the Red Team to come back. The game ended with the Blue Team winning and Marco watched as Silvano was called the best player of the game (for his team). The game wasn't between them, but losing against him was really tough and he felt frustrated. He didn't contribute for his team at all and the only time he was even close to scoring he was blocked by none other than Silvano. Marco couldn't say anything and he just wanted to return to his room, but he needed to pick up his things from Tera. He couldn't even put on a strong face right now.

With Marco's giant plush and his Pokemon with Tera and Holly's group, the girls went to find a place to seat themselves. Tera thought that I'd be best to be at the center front where they could get a good view of the field so she guided them as best as she could there. Upon seating themselves, she did a head count to make sure that everything and everyone was present before she did a few stretches. The girl had been carrying a giant plush around, though it wasn't as much as the weight but the position she had to hold the plush in that strained her muscles.
Now having a better and closer look Holly, the pink-haired student finally took notice of taller girl's adorable Pokemon who was at her side. Rare as it was, she was surprisingly familiar with Holly's Pokemon since her uncle has it's evolved form. This made her wonder where the girl was from. "So Holly, where ya from?" The girl asked curiously with flashing curious eyes, thinking that small talk during the game's preparations wouldn't hurt anyone.
Just like her trainer, Flare was quite curious about the other Pokemon and was wonder why the little bunny Pokemon was so wary of her. Did she offend the Buneary in some way? She didn't want to approach the fluffy looking Pokemon out of fear of hostility, but Tera's Natu was quite the opposite. The little ball Pokemon slowly approached the Buneary to get a better view of his fluffiness.
When the referee of the game made his appearance announcing the rules of the game, the Charizard dorm student's attention shifted to the field. As time went on, it was pretty obvious that the blue team was dominating the game. "Fighto Marco!" The girl got up and shouted at the top of her lungs before the game ended. By the end of it all, the loss seemed to be affecting Marco as he looked as upset or maybe even more so than he was when they met at the darts booth, at least that's what she could see from where she was. Seeing as he seemed hesitant to approach the girls, Tera decided to go to him instead. "Come on guys." She told the group with a tint of worry in her tone, hurriedly leaving the seating area with both plushies being carried, with much difficulty given their sizes, by her. As they got closer to the boy, she was sad to reconfirm what she saw from afar. The boy's demeanor reminded the girl of his sister's demeanor and without hesitation or even any thinking she began to move even closer. "Heeey Marco!" Whether or not the boy would face her after being called, what came next was Tera's finger poking Marco's nose as if she were pressing a button. "Boooop. How's about we go get some sweets before headin' back? I do owe ya and Holly~" The girl asked with a grin. She never was good with words or comforting people, so she could only hope that the boy understood her actions. It always worked with her sister after all.
