The reptile gave a head-bob in agreement. "Hargun doesn't really have hands anymore... she's turning into a bat. And Greer is turning into a hawk of some kind, but last I've seen her she still has her hands." She took a few more bites out of her salad. "So how is Cassidy and Joliette doing? I havn't seen either in awhile."

Bobby mentally remembered the names, and animals. They would most likely be important to recall, not only in refreshments but also in the kinds of games they could play.

"Cass looks like she is incredibly far in her transformation. Maybe as far as you? I am afraid I am not so sure on the levels here. She does have at least enough of fingers to pick at her poor feathers..." Bobby smilled a little at the memory. She probably scared the other woman when she almost tackled her since she thought Cass was hurting herself.

"I only quickly saw Joliette. She was still not so far... I cannot remember if I learned what she was changing into; although I think, as you mentioned, some reptile, due to her scales, tongue, and claws."

It amazed Bobby for at that moment, she was discussing such things as if they were only a matter-of-fact... incredibly disassociated that these were people she was talking about!

"Really?" Amaya looked somewhat surprised. Had Cass changed again? ... The poor woman. She wondered if her legs were totally gone by now, or if she had lost her hair like she had. Mentally she made a note to go see her. Maybe they had common ground now... she knew of no one else that was turning into a reptile that was so far in the transformations.

Come to think of it... when would it end? How many injections had Ambrose said they were getting before it was all over? Would they keep going until they were only animals, wandering about the island and hunting each other for food? The very thought made her frown deeply.

Bobby finished another plate. This one, though, while Amaya thought about the dilemna, the pig lifted the plate and started licking all the juice and last bits off of it. She was almost done, and looking at a bleach white plate, when the woman caught herself in mid-lick.

Staring at the plate, Bobby slowly put it back on the table. With her hands still on the sides, she looked at it and started to shake at the thought of what she had just done. The woman hadn't done that since she was a little girl, and even then, her mother would reprimand her immediately.

She looked up at Amaya, not sure if the girl had said anything or not. "What?" she asked, in case she hadn't heard.

The girl had caught Bobby's actions out of the corner of her eye, but made no effort to point it out. "Oh, nothing." She smiled and took another bite of her salad, almost finishing it. Eating must have been a quirk to whatever animal the poor woman was turning into.

Her large, pink tongue flickered, catching Bobby's anxiety. "Don't worry about it." Green eyes looked over at her, as if she was able to read what she was thinking just by that simple tongue flick. "We've all got our own quirks now."

Bobby finally let go on the plate. Well, at least she hadn't missed something that Amaya had said. Delicately, she clenched her hands together and put them in her lap. She still had to dishes made, but now she was determined to not give in to the cravings, at least for the moment. The animal had taken control, and this was now the repercussions of such an action.

She looked up at Amaya with a small smile, "Yeah, I bet we all do have our little habits now... but that one I have no intention of doing again..."

Amaya nodded. "At first I tried not to bask, to fight it the only way I knew how... though by now it seems such a silly thing to do. I know I no longer have full control of my actions anymore." She paused to take another bite of her salad. "And as much as I hate to say it, I am sort of taking all of this laying down... my dad would be pissed." She smirked sadly. "But at the moment, it's all I can think of to do."

Bobby glanced at Amaya; she hadn't thought of that! Reptiles were cold-blooded, and their stamina, per say, was dependent on their warmth. As for the sun-bathing... well, that sounded like a good idea! Well, if she could get to the beach when no one was around!

"Well..." Bobby sighed, smiling a little more, "At least your dad isn't here to be disappointed, no?"

The iguana gave a slow shake of her head. "No, but I kind of hope he's watching over me somehow. Even if he is shaking his head in disspointment." Her tail gave a nervous twitch as she poked at the last remaining bits of her salad. "Both my parents died when I was little."

Even though she frowned, she didn't seem overly sad about it... it was done and gone in the past and she had moved on. Despite how things were and how much she wished they were with her today, she knew it wasn't going to happen. There was no need to dwell on the past.

It took Bobby awhile to realize that Amaya's father was dead. Then, however, the girl confirmed that indeed both parents were dead. What a horrible ordeal. Bobby couldn't imagine her parents dead, and they were still alive and healthy last she check... and of course, she was thirty-two years old! But by thinking of such things, a person will just be more upset.

With a comforting smile, Bobby shook her head, "I hardly think he would be disappointed in you, Amaya. It is a very uncommon and rare thing for any parent to be disappointed in their child, despite what they or anyone else may say. Trust me... I know." She winked over at the girl, her hands still in her lap and refusing to eat further... although, by now they were clenched hard, trying to fight it.

"Really?" Amaya looked over at Bobby, her non-existant brows raised. "I hope your right. I know my dad would have wanted me to resist it and do anything I could to help the others on the island... but it doesn't seem like anything is possible. And I know that he would want me to try and be happy too, right?" She looked at the older woman for some kind of affirmation. "That's all I've been trying to do. It's hard enough to keep your spirits up in such a place."

So Bobby had kids? ... That was a shame. A horrible, terrible shame. She knew what it was like to loose a parent. But at least they had their father... hopefully. As long as they stuck with the family they had left, she knew Bobby's family back on the mainland would be alright. As long as they were as strong as their mother.

Bobby nodded, "You are exactly right. Support is pretty much the most you can do here. I haven't looked into escape plans yet, but considering all the facilities and precautions I would say it's pretty impossible. Your parents would want you to do the most with your life here... but by trying to enjoy yourself does not mean giving up...."

The words were out of her mouth before she had time to think about it. But, as she considered the words, she wondered if it was possible. Would there ever be a time that she would accept her position her? If she did, would it also mean that she would be allowing voluntary opression? Bobby wasn't sure, but she would have to consider it.

"Yeah, your right." The lizard sighed and finished off her salad, then turned and grabbed a bottle of water with three of her elongated fingers. "I guess I just have a hard time getting motivated. There isn't any place for me on the mainland and especially not now." Green eyes looked down at her scale-covered form. "And as horrible as it sounds, I developed a family here... Though early on I did try and think a lot about escape. For the others."

Her eyes went to the ceiling, searching for any hidden cameras. "But they've got cameras everywhere, an electrified fence surrounding the labs... during the lockout we were able to climb it but still couldn't even get inside. It's like a fortress." Gah, Amaya was rambling now.

"Sorry, tripped up in my own thoughts." The reptile smiled half-heartedly at Bobby.

"There is nothing wrong with creating a new family," Bobby cocked her head at Amaya. "It sounds like you didn't have too much of a family to begin with anyways, sorry if I overstep my boundaries there."

"Lockout??" the woman frowned. This was the first she had heard of sucha thing. "No, no, by all means, think... it helps me figure out what's been going on around here." Bobby smiled encouragadely.

She broke down... talking at a table like old pals required food.... Unfolding her hands, Bobby reached over and started one of the last two dishes she had prepared. She made a mental note that these would be the last things she ate until her next meal.

"No, they were wonderful. I lived with my mom and dad until they passed on. Then I lived with my grandmother until she died. Beyond that I didn't know any of my other family and we put up for adoption... that's how they got me. I was given a choice to stay there or come to their 'tropical resort' for orphaned teenagers." Amaya gave a shrug and sipped on her water after a flick of her tongue.

"And yeah, lockout." The girl paused. "A... month ago, I think we were all locked out of our duplexes for about 2 months. We thought something major really happened... but it turns out it was just an experiment." Her brow furrowed and she almost dived into how she had changed out there and almost died but... no. She was talking way too much.

Something in her mind seemed to nag at her for doing so. Amaya didn't think for one minute that it was the iguana DNA keeping her quieter and quieter, compared to how bouncy and chatty she had been when she arrived at the island.
