If Rylan was surprised that Alois complied, he didn't show it. There was too much going on, too much at stake. But yes, he probably was going to keep an eye on the guy. "So we've got two things to figure out: How to stabilize all the injured and get them out from under the shelves, and how to get them out of this building," he said, straightening up. "We've got a map, but it looks... well. Old. So it may or may not be helpful." He crossed over to Wil and peered at it with a frown. "And, I don't know how helpful this will be but... uh. Basically. I have a bird who I can see through. He's outside, somewhere, and I can apparently do it a few times before a giant migraine or other hits me. So maybe that recon will be useful." shibrogane am I doing this looking for the familiar thing right. i can roll for him every post, right? JUST DOUBLE CHECKING

Huxtable watched as the woman- Rosie- that had assisted him moved towards the stairs; obviously eager to see whatever sort of catastrophe lay ahead, and most likely going to help whoever else needed it. Rabbit, it seemed, had found his own way on the ground floor. "I'll help," Hux said, nodding. He was more or less sure that, with the dizziness still swirling behind his eyes, he'd have no way of navigating the stairs and not vomiting. Besides, there were people that needed help- some of them pinned behind book cases, like he'd once been... and while he himself was strong enough to lift them the few inches he had needed to get himself out- others weren't. Hux grabbed his own couple table cloths as he moved to follow Rabbit; ripping them up into long strips. When he noticed a woman, foot trapped beneath one of the heavy book cases, Hux moved to bat at Rabbit's shoulder; nodding his head in the woman's direction. He did his best to offer the woman a reassuring smile. "Hang tight, ma'am, my friend and I are going to lift this off you- ok? I'm sorry you're in pain." He looked at Rabbit, once, then moved to one side of the large piece of furniture; situating himself so that he could lift it. "Ready, Rabbit?" He asked, looking over at the other man with a determination in his own eyes. The shock of the situation had warn off, and now he was all adrenaline.

Eve considered Finn's question for a few moments, stroking Aleksy's hair, before giving him a nod. "Let's get his legs elevated," she said, "just to be safe. Then letting him get some rest is probably a good idea at this point." Then she leaned down to her adoptive son, touching forehead-to-forehead like she had with her packmates earlier. "We're all proud of you, love. You did such a good job." It was such a relief to learn she didn't look very monstrous to him at all. To Dawson, she said, "No, Other world. It's... an old local tale. The short version is that magic is real, it's connected to a slightly different plane of reality in Ashdown, and it's why I'm a therianthrope now."

It wasn't long after Connor had Jack as patched up as he could manage with the limited supplies that he allowed himself to use (there were many more people who needed tending to, and he felt he should use what he had as sparingly as possible), that the tall man and Chel and several others took off up the stairs. He himself nearly decided to follow along with, but he knew he'd likely be more useful right where he was. Besides, the police were the ones that should have been handling this situation. They were the ones with the guns, and tactical training. .....Of course, they probably didn't train the police force to deal with werecreatures. Just a hunch. Watching what amounted to his closest friends run off, Connor turned away, ready now to assess the rest of the situation. The crashing and breaking of glass made him flinch, and he jerked his gaze towards where the bullhorn wrapped in a shock blanket had landed, just as the megaphoned voice of what he could only assume was an officer boomed. The situation? Connor could have laughed. The situation was ******** dire, and he wondered why they hadn't yet sent anybody in to evacuate them. However, as he didn't have the bullhorn, he couldn't ask, though he had a dreaded feeling that something was very, very wrong (on top of the obvious very wrong that had already occurred). Opting to stay out of the negotiations or whatever the ******** they were doing, and to occupy himself with what he was actually trained to do, Connor searched for one familiar face in particular, hoping that she had stayed behind. Ah, there she was. "Temp!" He jogged towards where she was treating somebody, no longer avoiding the blood on the ground as it seemed like a waste of his time, though he mentally cringed every time he felt the bottom of his boot stick to something tacky. As he came to a stop next to her, he took in the blood drying to her clothes and arms, the streak of it in her hair. He had no idea that she was the one who held the dying nurse in her arms, but her appearance radiated an air of grimness. He wasn't going to ask. He didn't want to know. No. Focus. One thing at a time. "I don't mean to interrupt, but I could use some medical supplies from the nurses booth, if you have anything more to spare. Figured you could vouch for me." Quote: anybody still near Temp just for vicinity hi

She had dropped the shirt - it was no longer useful, but contaminated, and pulled out a bottle of water and some alcohol wipes. The alcohol wipes were moistened further, and she set about cleaning the wound. "You need stitches, Nasir. Not here, obviously, but remember to go afterwards. I'm not about to needle and thread you here." Her hands were methodical and most steady, only a slight tremor here and there. They didn't have super glue, so a clean dressing would have to do. She tied it firmly as Connor came up. It was funny - when she was working, and she surely was working now, she didn't feel as nervous as normal. Right now, she didn't exactly feel much of anything except a need to keep going. She looked up at Connor. "Hmm? Yeah, there should be some left. There was a wine booth we should see, too - if it has regular spirits as well we can use it for disinfectant." More or less. She swiped a strand of hair back and paused, eyes widening as she felt the dried blood in her hair. And then, her hand dropped, the expression was gone. There wasn't time for any of that.

"What?" Wil blinked at the guy who approached. "Like for real?" For all his fortune telling, the blonde didn't find much clout in supernatural things. Even though Ashdown had spooky weirdness sometimes, he remained pleasantly skeptical. Tonight had been a bit of a reality shock for him and all her could really think about right now is going home. "Wait what?" He was repeating himself. "A bird?" Just go with it, "Could it like... look for another door or maybe show you any places the police aren't blocking?"

"Let's?" she muttered darkly, but let Ian swipe at her wound. "I don't need a gauze - more people hurtin' than me." Still, it was nice to have someone help her with things. She was used to licking her own wounds, but it was hard to see a cut when it was on her own head. Preacher suffered his ministrations. Grumpily. "What's your name - I don't remember. And I didn't see too much, but I heard tell there was like a monster or some s**t. Like with claws that mauled up someone. Was hopin' you'd seen. We can find someone to bother to spill the deets. Mercer already went upstairs, though." The last bit was said kind of to herself. Preacher wondered also if there was any free food left. She'd be damned if she was gonna die on an empty belly.

Nasir nodded at Temperance and told her thanks. "I'll get it looked at, I promise.' His arm freshly bandaged still hurt but at least it was not as uncomfortable as the shirt that had been on it. He was heading over to Wil when he caught snippets of conversation and stopped to listen to Eve talk and what they talked about ... "Um," he said slowly, looking over Aleksy who was under a jacket that looked familiar and had bruising around his head and face. "I wouldn't let him sleep," he spoke to the both Finn and Eve. "It looks like he hit his head and that could be bad for him." Still processing everything else about people who could transform and oh he hoped Lily was okay and he definitely wanted to go and get to Wil. Quote: BULLHORN IS USED FOR THIS TURN, STRATEGIZE TIME NAO. Nasir still has it tho, at least for now. shibrogane aleksy u should stay awake, u hit ur head.

"Oh, s**t. I didn't realize." Swearing was rare from Eve, who was known for staying rather composed in her language. "Thank you so much. You might have saved him some damage."

Cataleen was once again well in over her depth. First people were shouting about a werewolf, and now there was someone who... sort of fit the description, but not in the Hollywood Werewolf way. More like the cheap Rennaisance Festival werewolf costume. The point was, this was apparently not the werewolf who had attacked them, and she might even be trying to help. Cataleen wished the police would show as much initiative.
The endorphins had long since worn away, and the wounds on her back were pure agony. Every movement seemed to pull at them, there was no comfortable position to sit or stand, and then there was the blood. A lot of it.
"Someone. Help me." she pleaded, hoping someone heard her in the chaos.
Meanwhile, Tooly was still unconscious. Just one of the many prone bodies near the bookshelves.

Nasir would have flushed if he wasn't actually looking pale himself from the blood loss. Instead he merely nodded his head and gave Eve a sheepish smile. "I just worry too much and don't want anything else bad to happen." Then, because he thought about it ... "Also, ah, you know Lily, right?" With all the stuff that was going on. "She's kind of like a sister to me and ..." Nasir took a breath and then continued. "Thank you for looking out for her with everything that's happened." As he kind of figured out that this was Eve and ... well. He needed to tell her thank you.

As Dawson was taken care of, Juniper climbed to her feet and scooped up her duster. It barely took a glance at the article of clothing to know it was completely beyond help. Sure, she knew how to get blood out of stuff, but not this much. So, with a sigh she threw the duster into a nearby trash can, wiping her hands on her pants in an attempt to clean the blood off of them. It's likely this whole outfit might be done for. She thought as she looked down at herself. At least her shirt and pants had a chance of being salvaged. As she moved down the rows, glancing around she heard a strained voice and barely caught the word 'help'. Blue eyes began scanning around as Juniper stood in one spot rotating quickly trying to find the source of the voice. Eventually she found Cataleen and it was obvious that she needed some assistance. "Hey. Hey!" She called to Cataleen as she hurried to the girl's side. "I've got you. It's alright." Mentally she cursed herself for not grabbing some bandages and was again forced to improvise with what was around her. Thankfully one of the booths near hear had been serving some sort of food and there were rolls of paper towels which she snatched up in a hurry before returning to the injured girl. "Ok, I am going to try to clean you up the best I can. We'll get you some actual bandages too." She smiled, trying to reassure the girl before turning behind her to yell to anyone nearby. "Anyone find any bandages?" She turned back to Cataleen and slowly began to work on the poor girls slashed back with the paper towels. "So what's your name? I am Juniper." She attempted small talk to maybe help calm the girl.

"s**t - really?" Finn asked, looking over at Nasir. He'd missed that detail, preoccupied as he was with keeping Aleksy from bleeding to death. "Sorry, Lyoshka," he sighed. "Night's not over yet." He gave his boyfriend's hand another squeeze. "We'll get out of here," he said. "That jacket's a good look for you."
