Nachos!! Korvau loved nachos! Unfortunately, he also loved the cute boys in the class and spent far too long flirting it up with his neighbor and not enough time watching his assignment... the result was a bit of a soggy mess but... still edible? Korvau hoped it was good enough, he didn't have time to make a new batch! At least he'd gotten a phone number out of this mess...

Leif thought he might do pretty okay with this assignment- after all, he did a lot of cooking at home and rather liked doing it. His dad was pretty busy these days, and nachos were a quick meal... so this definitely wasn't his first time making them. He prepared them fairly quickly, and even sprinkled on some olives for extra taste- then watched and waited patiently while they cooked.
Just as he was going to try them when they were done though, Talfia came out of nowhere and whisked them away. Darn... he'd been hoping he could have a bit of a snack or something before lunch...
At least it was good enough to pass?

Didn't they talk about universities enough? Ganymede thought he might keel over dead if one more teacher brought it up. Or, Nine Forbid, a caretaker. They didn't even interact with caretakers that much any more as seniors, but every time he did they seemed intent on asking where he was going. Ugh.
He already knew where he was going, he'd known since he figured out what he wanted to do at the end of his freshling years - he wanted to make clothes. Good clothes. Magical clothes. Desirable clothes.
I'm already making preparations to attend Grendel University. I'm going specifically for their fashion and illusion programs. There really isn't much else to say on this topic, I've known this for years and I've already talked about it with plenty of other teachers.
Talfia didn't seem like the type of teacher to react badly to some snark, but eh... even if she did... he did answer her question, didn't he?

 Well this seemed to be the season for fieldtrips, at least it was calmer than some of the other trips that had happened and Aleis had been able to get out of class for the day as they traveled to all three. Aleis wasn’t anywhere near figuring out what they wanted to do with their life. They were still torn between what they were good at, which was stealing and sneaking into things or seeing if they could get back on the right path. It was fun to visit all the different universities today. I still can’t say that I’m any closer to figuring out what I want to do in life. So it was probably a good idea to visit all those different universities. As such I think that I want to go to Asterion. I’m not really a fan of history but I am interested in people and even more so Criminal law. I’ve also always loved coastal towns and while they’re still rebuilding the university and town next to it has its charm. Hopefully once I get there and start actually taking the classes my path in life will be a bit more figured out. Well this was just a trial run right. Aleis could think on what they wanted to put on the actual letter to the university later. If they actually ended up going and the thief side didn’t win out, however definitely didn’t want to write that on a school paper.

 Hades was already pretty sure what university he wanted to go to. Okay that was a lie. Hades knew what University he was going to. They had done enough essays over the years at the academy that he had already figured out university years pretty well. So the day was more about getting out of all the other classes instead. Actually going to the universities just pretty much cemented his plan in his head. Well more than it already had been. Still he had to write about it.
I always knew that I was going to end up at Leviathan. So it was nice to actually go to said university and see the campus for the first time. Considering my interest in geology and Herbology Leviathan has the best classes to further a career in that field. I also like the location and since I’m also somewhat interested in illusion if I decide to major in illusion as well I also like leviathan’s location compared to Grendel’s.
There that was pretty adequate right?

 Ren was used to cooking. His grandfather had been somewhat forgetful and Ren hadn’t wanted him to be anywhere near a stove while he still lived with him. So when Talfia mentioned they were doing nachoes Ren was happy to start cooking. The whole cooking process had gone smoothly for once and the nachoes looked to be at that perfect edge of cheesiness. Just as he was adding the olives though professor Talfia swooped by and ended up eating them. Well Ren supposed if she had been doing this for all of her classes she was probably hungry… right?

 Mai had actually been looking forward to Life skills; she had heard that they were going to make Nachos for class. Unfortunately she hadn’t been paying attention and had gotten a bit carried away in her studying so she had unfortunately skipped both breakfast and lunch. So when she had finished her somewhat perfect batch of nachos she figured it wouldn’t hurt to nibble on a few right. Unfortunately she got a bit carried away and ended up eating them all. Oh dear? She hoped she could make another batch before class ended.

 With a small sigh, Nepheline found herself wishing that the assignment was anything but talking about which University she wanted to attend. Didn’t the guidance councillors make note of stuff like that and note it in the student files? Still, she couldn’t blame the adults for wanting to make sure the students had plans in place. Which didn’t stop the various talks and tours from being rather dull. And she was certain that the Grendel rep was tired of seeing her face at this point.
Even so, Nepheline listened to the rep speak and tried to think of new questions she could ask. And when it was over, she wrote out her essay (such as it was).
I plan to attend Grendel as they’ve the best and only Literature program in Below. Since all I want to do is work with books and the written word, Grendel seems to me the most logical University choice.
It wasn’t the longest of essays, but surely it would be okay, wouldn’t it? She was just being efficient!

 Vitacea was very excited that it was Nacho day! She rarely splurged on snacks like that, so being able to make them in class was the perfect excuse for making some! She quickly grabbed all of her ingredients, making sure that she had them all. It was time for the perfect batch of nachos!
She had the meat cooking and the chips set up when she decided to dice up some tomatos and peppers; that was sure to be a hit with the teacher. Slicing in though... well, her hand slipped and she sliced herself. With a hiss, she quickly snatched her hand away. There was definitely some blood going on, but it wasn't like she chopped off her finger. She quickly lowered her heat and made her way to the first aid box, disinfecting the cut and putting a sizable bandage on it before donning a glove. She was going to have to see the nurse after this class but nachos awaited her!Embi-lamb Sorry for the double quote! I just realized I already had this class done for Vita QQ;;;

 No one said Kindle was a good cook, and she never claimed to be. In fact, she was... horrible. Absolutely horrible at cooking. So horrible, in fact, that when the nacho's came out soggy she wasn't surprised. Mouth tightening, Kindle pushed her mess away, settling into a nearby chair.
Jericho was never going to get a lovingly cooked meal... was he?

Eliza was pleasantly surprised when her meal came out perfect. Not only that.... she had forgotten she didn't eat breakfast. One nibble became another, and eventually she found her fingers scrapping the bottom of the bowl. Oh.... she hadn't realized the bowl was emptying.....
That..... that was going to be awkward.

Chi didn't really like the assignment, really. She.... didn't want to attend university, and each time she tried to talk to Talfia about it something would occur. Eventually, she had no choice, sitting down to write her paper with a frown.
'Honestly, I don't want to attend university. I tried to tell you, but something would come up. Like the students there would start yelling, or familiars would run by....
If I had to choose, I'd pick Grendel to further my fashion studies, I suppose. However, I've already looked at renting an apartment and decided actively not to attend university. My online business selling toys had gotten to a point where I can afford a place and maybe rent a space at my friends shop to sell customized plushies, and I want to take that route. Owning a toy store is my dream, and I can have that now. I don't want to wait even longer for my dream when I could have it right after I leave the academy.
I hope this didn't come off rude. That is not my intention, I'm sorry! I just have a dream, and I might be able to fulfill it!'

Lace didn't... have an answer for the essay, honestly. She didn't know what she wanted still. Yet, the essay felt pressuring, as suddenly it became evident she really should know where she was headed. Panic fluttered in her chest briefly as the usually bubbly hybrid melted into her seat.
This was... scary.
'I don't know.
I loved every option there was, honest! I just don't know what I want to be... I've always loved the academy and how welcoming it was, I never really thought of what would come after it. I don't have anything I really like to do, either. Shopping, yes, but that... can't be a career. I don't like using my hands much, so Grendel seems out. The other two... I haven't seen anything I'm interested in.
I need more time to think.'

Maria was calm throughout the tours. Interest settled in her eyes, lighting up each time they entered a new campus. Once it was time for the assignment she didn't waste time, deciding to do her Life Skills homework immediately.
'I am not attending university any time soon. I have been offered a chance to study for a year under the wing of a famous fortune teller, so I have decided to pursue that dream. I have considered Asterion briefly for psychology, but as my hobbies and interests lay within divination and fortune telling, I've decided studying under the careful eye of my mentor is far more favorable.
Perhaps in the future I will attend Asterion. It'd probably be beneficial to take psychology for my interests. '

Leilah wasn't exactly the best cook. In fact she much preferred eating for prepared by others or out of the cafeteria. But it was definitely a skill that she'd have to mast sooner rather than later. She'd be out on her own eventually! And then it would be up to her to feed herself. She couldn't spend all of her money on eating out after all. Of course, if there was one skill Leilah had, it was being a klutz. She accidentally knocked over the pan of meat after she'd finished cooking it. Uh oh...she tried to quickly clean up the mess before her teacher could notice it. Thankfully a fellow student helped out...
