This had not been the first time.

Jeremiah still had no idea just how many times he had been part of it.

"Clearly looking into the Shore family is what needs to be done. As well as why there would be a picture of some past version of yourself and me in there." Arms were stretched above his head a moment, trying to ease the discomfort but it did not help at all. "I can see what I can dig up at the police department, if anything. I'll bring you whatever I get my hands on."

The shift was noticeable and something ached uncomfortably in Jeremiah. It was not his back.

"Alright, Zac." He was pushing himself to his feet only to stare for a few minutes. Sunny was not going to eat his heart?. Hearing that reassured him of a few things he had already thought and now had confirmed.

That ache turned to a twist in his heart but it had to be pushed away for the time being. "That is reassuring to know," he spoke softly. "Come on, I've got some leftovers of your favorite kind of soup you can take with you."

With that he was gesturing for Zac to come with him and then he would see him out. Not before he gave him one last hug as he got out the door.
