Your Username: PeanutButterpies Your Wolf: Prompt Reply: Timorous had always been anxious but Other Daughter, Other Daughter had always offered her comfort. He was a good wolf, always near when she needed him, and so it was a comforting night when she went to sleep with Other Daughter curled up next to her.
Her awakening was reluctant, feeling that it was much too early to be awake but she reluctantly opened her eyes, blinking in surprise that it was darker than she expected. She stretched, feeling a little off kilter and her eyes landed on Other Daughter and something felt off, wrong. She blinked, still a little foggy, and realized rapidly that Other Daughter was eye to eye to her. A look down affirmed that she didn't have hooves but rather, paws, and for a moment she was worried, terrified.
But she looked up at Other Daughter and realized that with him around, no matter what, she would be alright.
Like always, Other Daughter was waiting for her cue, always considerate of her and she stepped forward, setting her head into the scruff of his neck. A silent way of conveying that she loved him, was thankful for him and he seemed to get it, the way he curled back around her for the minute and let her savor the moment.
But it didn't last long and she pulled back, giving him a nod, a look. This would be their night, for however long it lasted, and she wanted him to show him what he saw. What he loved, what he did when he wasn't around her, everything that was part of her wolf.
He only gave her one last look and with a gentle nudge, pulled her into a run. This was their night and Timorous, Timorous felt free and unafraid. She had Other Daughter by her side.

When she woke up it was a little strange, a little discomforting, and she blinked in confusion. Decay's warmth was still with her though and she snuggled closer, blinking sleepily in confusion when she realized that she was able to bury her face in the wolf's scruff. Actually opening her eyes, she realized that for whatever reason, it was a night where she was a wolf.
Decay peeked an eye open at her, alert and curious but seemingly content to stay where she was with Last Rose. But Last Rose, wanting to share this dream, stood up and stretched, shaking herself out. Decay was quick to follow and it seemed she had a plan, if the eager gleam in her eye told Last Rose anything.
Smiling, Last Rose followed behind her for a second, before they both broke out into a run. It was time to find something fun to do - and Last Rose had a suspicion that the night was going to be the best she ever had.

Each section was different and while her eyes did not sharpen to match her heightened state, she was content to share the world with her wolf, Runner. Together they ran abreast, Runner her guide in both this life and the real one. They searched for new wolves and experiences. Initially, Wolf Parade was taken aback at the new form but if the Stags and Mares of yore could do it, so could she and perhaps even more. Taking it all in stride as a new challenge, she galloped forth and crooned. Though instincts took over, there was no accounting for talent and her howl was atonal in its croaking hoarseness. Good thing Runner took over to spare her of the embarrassment. And that wasn't all that Runner shared.
Elusive qualities to tip it off as a trip started to appear, and Wolf Parade shifted gears. She relished the gift and opportunity ahead of her. She liked to think it made them more in tune with one another. It was a good night for firsts.
