Lorata had never shot a gun before, had barely ever even held one except for that one time in the swamp, and using one maybe wasn't quite the calm she'd thought she was looking for from a booth for the rest of the night. But, well...The Captain seemed to like using them very much, and this was still just a game so it'd be like a quick way of seeing what it was like without having to get into a fight with a terrifying monster first!

It took her a moment, but soon enough she was shooting. Just...not very well, apparently. The first shot didn't hit anything. And then neither did the second. She frowned down at her gun, glanced back, and then looked up at the targets again with determination. Not until she'd hit something! Her next shot was a clean hit, and then so was the fourth. The last only missed because her delighted laugh shook off her aim.

After a rousing success with the pinata, Cerpin was feeling invincible. He could handle any enemy, wield any weapon. This was what it felt like to be a true hero and a real champion. Spotting the Gunnery, he smirked and picked up the gun. Time to show Alternia what he could do. He just had to take a breath and focus.

"LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!" He shrieked in an attempt to fit in more with the normal civilian crowd. Cerpin had come in disguise in order to keep from getting caught in his rebel persona. That meant he needed to show some zeal for the Royalists! Letting loose a round of fire, he cheered with every hit and almost seemed to grow taller by the end due to his rousing success.

He raised his arms to the sky in joy and let out a whoop of celebration.

Maybe Frossa would want free clothes, too, thought Alifax.

Okay, yeah, she wouldn't. Not to wear, anyway. Alifax just wanted an entire wardrobe full of clothes for free. That'd be convenient, right?

He waved at the sharpshooter troll and took the offered gun. Okay. Same strategy as before? It'd worked out before! He watched the rebel figurine spin in place. Where did the cast-offs here go? How much did it cost to maintain this booth?

This booth scared her most of all. Blatantly targeting the rebels, it encouraged violence against them- against her. And there was Cerpin firing away with a Yeehaw!

What the hell.

This was the last place she expected to see him. First he goes and befriends every highblood in sight, then he takes her to a booth in front of the queen and insults her, now he's hooting and hollering at a pro-military booth?

Maybe it was Doradi but something possessed her body and she found herself with a gun in hand. Aiming at the targets, she started firing and turned to meet Cerpin's gaze wordlessly, hitting every single one. Once all the targets were spinning she put the gun down and slammed her hand on the pile of military jackets to take one and stomp away.

sorry there was just something so funny about her aim being so good on all rolls.

There were four more shots to be made, though. Two of them hit, and two of them missed - there were no barely-there grazes tonight. Tough luck for Alifax. Six points apparently would've netted him another soup necklace (or, uh, jewelry, apparently), but he pointed resolutely at the shiny golden pin instead. Frossa could at least appreciate that. There was no way he was wearing this necklace.

...maybe Kursha would want it.

Ignorance was bliss, especially when he couldn't read. All Eyzaak got out of it, was there was camo pattern all over and the sound of gunfire. Thrilled the little troll bounced up the counter expectantly wanting a turn at using the firearm. His brow furrowed slightly when the troll told him he could fire at rebels. What did that even mean? Shrugging his shoulders, he took the gun and settled himself to line up his site. Besides it was just a game, no one was really shooting at him or any of his friends...right?

Distracted he missed his first shot, watching as the pellet went soaaring..and landed somewhere in the back of the booth. Oopse. Determined not to look bad with a weapon, he squeezed the trigger in rapid succession two more times. Two rewarding 'ping' noises echoed, before his next shot went wild again like the first one.

Steadying himself, he took one final aim and managed to knock a figurine right off it's base. With all 5 shots taken, he set the gun back where he'd gotten it. Eyzaak had already made up his mind to come back another night to play as he'd enjoyed the quick introduction to target pratice. Even if the subject matter was unsavory to the blueblood. Not everyone will understand he remembered hearing back at the Salamire Outpost.

Aconan didn't duck out of the way when Poe came back, that would have been rude! She did uh, stand a little further from the targets this time though. She smiled at him, even though he couldn't see it.

"For someone with impaired vision, you've done remarkably well!"

Aconan frowned at the yellowblood - they seemed a bit..off today, far from the cheerfulness of yesterday.

"Are you okay, ma'am?"

Green Minuet

Kursha was back, but thankfully Aconan had enough tact not to interrupt the other greenblood as he seemed to be thinking about something whilst shooting.

She couldn't resist calling out to him as he turned to leave though.

"Have a good evening!"

Micillia

Aconan totally heard the pew-pew, and couldn't resist a smile at Chiara, pushing her keychain across the desk to her should she desire it.

To Punkie Aconan gave a respectful nod as well as her usual spiel, in recognition of her juggalo status.

KitsuneAura

Aconan might have been a little nervous as the seadweller approached her booth, but as Lorata laughed Aconan smiled more naturally, pushing her prize across to her.

Aconan appluaded the highblood, caught up in his obvious excitement, and she grinned at him for his obvious royal sentiments.

"Good job protecting the Empire, you can choose any prize except the jacket!"

Convenient, yes! Happening? Apparently...no. Not tonight, anyway. Aconan handed over the pin as he finished his shots and made his choice, accompanied as always by her semingly-everpresent smile.

Doutei
+1 ticket for high score!

Aconan whistled, impressed, but before she could go to compliment the other they'd stormed off after glaring daggers at the highblood. What was going on there?

leon_a_darkangel

Aconan handed the gun over to the bouncy child after telling them how to shoot. They seemed to do well enough, and Aconan slid a keychain over the counter to them.

Back at it again at Gunnery Games! She had gotten plenty of loot the night before, but it wasn't really about prizes, was it? No. It was just relaxing to do Something familiar, fun, and quick, before rushing off to check out the rest of the festivities. And, honestly, it was good practice for aiming in high heels.

Aim and go. Don't think, just watch the targets, track, shoot.

Again, like every night, she did well without being perfect at the same time. But when she did hit, it was a slam dunk. This was a royalist booth, though. Luxara didn't want the squirt thinking she was too good for someone who kept talking about how gun-dumb she was.

After finishing, she leaned on the counter. She did already have enough points for some prizes, but wasn't sure if she wanted to grab anything or hold out...

      [+] Kursha Vidari

Score: 2 + 0 + 0 + 2 + 2 = 6

“Hey, kid. You got something like a blindfold?”

In the middle of loading his pellet gun, Kursha glanced down at the miniature greenblood. He may not have had the wealth of experience with handguns that he did with long guns, but it did not take long to get accustomed to them. And against short range, motionless targets, there was little challenge to be had. It was time to up the difficulty. As the greenblod fumbled over a reply, he shook his head. “Nevermind. I got this.”

He took a moment to memorise the targets. Pretty simple pattern: queen's guard, mutant, queen's guard, mutant. The challenge would be in mentally judging the distance between the targets. Taking a deep breath, Kursha closed his eyes. He wasted no time thinking about it. Five shots fired off in quick succession. His eyes snapped open. Three of the mutant targets spun on their axles. So did two of the queen's guard. Well, s**t. That wasn't too bad.

Returning the gun to his counter, Kursha pointed to the stack of the key chains hanging from one of the hooks. “I got enough for one of those, right?” he asked. “How about it?” Once the greenblood had retrieved his prize, Kursha said his thanks and went to see the next attraction. He had taken only ten steps away from the booth, when a face in the crowd made him stop. On sudden impulse, one he could not explain, he ducked out of sight into a booth serving potstickers.

Peering beneath the short curtain, Kursha studied the yellowblood as she made her way to the Gunnery Games. His digestive cavity twisted. She looked unfamiliar, and yet she had given him such a visceral reaction. Ignoring the booth attendant as they asked if he planned to make a purchase, Kursha continued to watch. His instincts rarely misguided him, especially not so suddenly, and without precedent.

The yellowblood loaded the pellet gun expertly and fired off her shots. She hit three out of the five, the third landing on one of the queen's guard and the fifth just barely missing one of the mutants. Not too shabby of shooting—about the level he might have expected from someone with a little bit of practise. However, he suspected the yellowblood was more than just a hobbyist. There was enough delay between her fire that it almost looked like... she deliberately misplaced her shots.

When the yellowblood had finished and turned to leave, Kursha ducked out of his hiding place. He followed her from a distance of about twenty feet, pushing through the crowd to keep her in his line of sight. After two minutes or so, when they had reached a place where the crowd thin he quickened his pace to catch up to her. He had soon fallen in step directly behind her.

“Hey. Not bad shooting back there.”

Next on Sascha's trek through the booths was "Gunnery Games." Sascha was pretty sure he could hold his own in a shootout pretty well this point. Probably. If the rebels weren't shooting back.

Sascha loaded the pellet gun with practice and held it up towards the targets. Pull the trigger aaanddd... Complete and total miss. Okay there was no way Sascha could have missed by that much without there being something wrong with the gun.

Sascha examined the toy firearm. He didn't actually know enough about guns to know if there was anything wrong with it, but it was worth a shot. Maybe some part of its metal anatomy was stuck? Sascha whacked it against his hand a couple of times.

BANG!

Sascha jumped, his lusus jumped, Aconan and her lusus probably jumped. The bullet did nearly clip her face after all. Sascha gaped silently in the off chance that maybe they didn't notice.

When that obviously wasn't going to work, Sascha decided to just ******** go for it and shot the last three of his pellets. Dead hits. He very nearly took the horns off of one of them. He'd be prouder if he wasn't terrified of getting kicked out or having Bloodfest security called on him. He (gently) put the gun back on the counter.

"Uh... I fixed it."

Lorata had done so well the night before that she couldn't help wanting to try again. She'd seen the Captain a lot lately, so maybe if she kept it up, he'd happen by in time to see her shoot and be impressed! She could see it now, how proud he'd be! Quieting a giggle, she accepted her gun and lifted it to her shoulder to aim up at the targets. Let's see...those were queen's guards, so she definitely didn't want to hit them. The mutant she wanted to kill first, then, was....She narrowed her eyes, picking the leftmost one, and squeezed the trigger. There was a satisfying little POP and the mutant went down with a bullet to the head.

Her smile spread. Kill shot. The next hit wasn't so perfect, but the target was still sent spinning. And the third...A miss. With a flash of irritation, she adjusted her aim for the same target and tried again, but those it was closer, it still wasn't good enough! One more time then! And sure enough, the target spun with the impact. She'd done it!

Beyond pleased, she hurried over to the prizes, looking them over. That was interesting, and that was sort of shiny, and that was...! "That one! I'll take that one!" She pointed excitedly at the plush, reaching out to take it into her arms as soon as she could. Sinking her face into the soft soft fur, she squealed. "It's so fluffy I'm gonna die!"

And then off she went, racing back into the crowds.

Tevini returned to the booth to see if Cerpin was here again and was surprised to see no sign of him. Perhaps her message yesterday had reached him. Still, now that she'd done it once, she wanted to do it again. No not shoot the rebels but get the military jackets. They seemed like they'd make great disguises for the rebels and this was basically a free way of collecting some. At the very least she wanted to bring home 3 once Bloodfest was over.

Picking up the gun, she started firing again. Her purpleblood disguise blended in perfectly with the trolls on either side of her and while her aim wasn't quite as good as yesterday, it was still pretty true. Satisfied, she handed the gun back when her turn was over and went on her way, noting how many points she had earned.
