Fletch wandered back into the ger-BRAWL booth excitedly, ready to catch up with the little fluffballs - only to find there were two NEW fluffballs today.
"Aw man, brother's gonna get me in a flap with all these balls of fluffy cuteness with their robot-badassery. Lookit them little springs, and that scoop."
Eyeing the two, Fletch watched as Flippy ate the treat.
"Aww man thinkin' you're gonna be the winner today lil' brosis gerbil. Lookit how cute you are with the little munchings. You can do it, uh. "
Fletch squinted at the board.
"Flippy!"

Alright, Rastin's conscience wouldn't allow him to pass the gerBRAWL booth without stopping to check on the tiny fighters. The purpleblood wiggled his way through the crowd and leaned over the preparatory pen. It seemed that the fighters from yesterday's brawl had been taken out and replaced with new ones, which sent a bit of a shiver up his spine. He hadn't been here to see who had made it out of the fight... Hopefully the loser was alright.
"Well, at least your names aren't as ridiculous..." He muttered, giving both gerbils a once over. Hm... Would he place his bet on the blue faced Flippy or the serious looking Lifts? ... He couldn't believe that he was asking himself such a question.
"Okay, I'll go with you, Lifts." He said, pursing his lips. "I really hope you can breath with that much weight around your neck, though. I can't imagine that thing being remotely comfortable to wear."

Meandering around the booths, Fellah decided to wander towards some he didn't get the chance to check out previously. When he caught sight of the adorable little gerbs from the corner of his eye, the redblood marched right on over.
"Well dang, these little guys are just too darn cute, and feisty!"
It was not an easy choice for the redblood to make, picking one gerbil over the other to cheer on. In the end though, he decided to root for Lifts.

 Caiden scampered up to the booth. Its big bold banner easily attracted the brownblood's attention. "Gerbils?! Oh Wow!! And they battle?!? That is sooo cool! Oh, but they don't hurt each other, do they? How do you get them to keep those things on them? I tried to dress up a moth in a small little dress once, but after i finished dressing it, it dident move. Dad said it was better to leave it alone, give it time to rest or something. But these guys look all full of energy!" Caiden looked intently at Flippy, and then at Lifts. They were both so cute! How could one really bring themselves to choose! the brownblood hummed and hawed as he watched each girbrawl mind its own business. "What do you guys think, huh? Which one of you wants to win the most?" Lifts wiggled his nose at Caiden as the troll whispered encouragement to both of them. Caiden would put his bet on Lifts, but really, he wanted each of the small furry creatures to win. Rolling for Lifts180 words, keeping special treat.

Frossa stared down at the gerbils. She squinted. Normally, she didn't give the things much thought. Never saw the appeal- she'd rather make a snack out of one than a pet. They were quite delicious when prepared correctly, actually. But these guys... they were different. Not only would eating them be wildly unpleasant, (as many qualities as Frossa shared with a goat, consuming metal was not one), but they were actually interesting. Could they really fight?! That was a far cry from the woodchip-munching, dull eyed rodents that eternally spun on a wheel going nowhere that Alifax had. Flippy was bursting with energy, true to his name, flipping over and over into the air like a toy barkbeast. Frossa smiled, and clapped her hands. She liked his spunk! He could totally take on the bigger guy. Totally. "I don't usually share food..." Still, she went and found herself offering out one of the treats to Flippy. Luckily, he didn't hesitate to gobble down the munchie- otherwise she may have been tempted to ram it down his innocent little throat. "So do be thankful. Try your best not to disappoint!"Frossa cheered on Flippy! word count = 193 , used a power up snacku!

Watching Showoff get beatdown yesternight had been such a disappointment. Cerpin frowned and huffed as he made his way back to the GerBrawl booth. This time he was going to pick a winner, he was sure of it. The young purpleblood had even brought a couple extra beetles to buy some more of the merch.
"Can I get like, five of those bands?" He pointed at the cloths and began to tie them to himself and his stuff. A headband (even though he was wearing a hat), one to his backpack, another as a kickass armband, he might as well look cool with one on his ankle. And lastly...
"You can do it, Flippy! Show us what you've freaking got!" The last one had been converted into a flag with Flippy's name scrawled on it as Cerpin completed the last stage in his evolution into a crazed sports fan fanatic.

Leeroi was beaming with pride, and even moreso when Psykgi and Guo finally got to acknowledge all of his hard work. He laughed with his moirail, a genuine, excited smile on his face. "Yeah!! They're all suited up and ready to FIGHT. I'm just doing some fine-tuning with them now, don't want them glitching up when the crowd's watching," He explained, petting one of the little dudes in his hands.
Hearing Guo from afar, Leeroi braced for impact. "GUO!" He shouted excitedly, yelling and laughing as the blueblood assaulted him with noogies. Calming down enough to speak, Leeroi gave Guo a hard punch on the shoulder. "Wouldn't miss it, bro! We're gonna kick a**!" He assured, giving a little fist shake with his open hand.
Leeroi looked between Psykgi and Guouli, confused. "What? Have you guys never met?? That's ******** weird." Leeroi bounced with excitement. "Psy! This is Guo! He's my bro!" He introduced the two, still hyped from Guo messing with him. "Psykgi's my moirail. She's ******** awesome."

"Psh, it's totally safe," Leeroi said sarcastically, glancing over the orangeblood who had challenged him. His brows furrowed in confusion. "You don't think I'm having them fight to the death or something, right?" The corner of his mouth quirked up. Truth be told, there was hardly any bloodshed in his fights. Maybe he could wean his gerbils up to that eventually, but starting off that crazy would only produce problems. "They like fighting. Or at least mine do," Leeroi explained, grabbing Peepaws by the scruff. He nuzzled the gerbil to his cheek, and in turn Peepaws gave him a headbutt. "See?" He said, letting the gerbil down. Rolling for LIFTS "Oh, well I'm glad there's one good lowblood out there. Cool!" It would be interesting how the rustblood lived up to Leeroi's statements. She didn't look particularly interesting. And she seemed nice. What could he do with that? He hoped there was something more to her than that, or else his bro had s**t for taste.
"Oh, yo, dude," he turned to Leeroi again. "I wanna get some sick merch. Can I get like, everything? Like a flag and one of those awesome amputated hands? And a bandanna in our color? I've got beetles! I'm not crappy enough to not pay my bro for his cool stuff!"
As he gathered everything, he took some time to pep the next gerbil. "Yo, you're a freaking tank. Kick a** or be grass, got it?"

Points for Lifts: 3 Treats: 1 “Bloodfest really brings out all kinds,” Ephias said, his usual monotone broken by something akin to amazement as he stared at the booth before him. Two gerbils armed with... deadly robotics, circled one another in the combat ring, waiting for the other to make a move. As Ephias looked on, he had to wonder what kind of troll thought that this would be a good idea. Why it would be a good idea. And how they could think that anyone else would agree. Nevertheless, the booth had drawn a formidable crowd. There was something to be said for novelty's sake, and anyway the gerbils seemed to be enjoying it. He glanced over at his companion Etsali—no Faithe Keeper. His face was expressionless, but behind the stoic mask his thinkpan was at work, surely preparing to offer some great nugget of wisdom wisdom. After an unnecessarily long pause, he delivered dead-pan, “My beetles are on... that one.” He pointed down into the ring with a gloved hand, indicating the stockier rodent. Honestly though, were it not for their armaments, he would not have been able to tell them apart.

Alifax had not watched the previous night's match, even after dubiously wishing that single robot luck. Why bother? The matches were probably rigged for maximum profit anyway. He'd take his raffle ticket, though, for whatever it was worth - what the hell did these things get you, anyway? Who even cared? He actually had someone to dump extra stuff on, now. Or, well, he could sell stuff, too. (Well, okay, if he could get a weapon or something out of this, that would also be nice. But it was pretty unlikely, right?) Actually, these robots were probably among the most valuable things here. Were they being offered as prizes? He walked up to the booth's owner, nodding in greeting. " Thanks for the ticket," he said, giving no indication that he recognized the guy. " What will happen to the obsolete models?" he asked. Uh, bet? Oh, yeah, he was supposed to do that. " That one," he said decisively, indicating Flippy. " It would be unfortunate if its screws came loose."

"Never seen gerbils like these," Etsali hummed her agreement, leaning forward a bit to try and get a better look at the fighters as they circled. They were just as cute as all the other ones she'd seen with Ephias, yeah, but with the added shine of metal enhancement. And really, if she was being honest, that was quite the difference! "I kind of like it, though. Look at them go!" Yeah, the gerbils definitely got better every time they happened upon them.
Noticing Ephias glancing over, she turned her head to wait for whatever it was he was going to say. And waited. It must have been something pretty in depth! Maybe he had some kind of opinion on the machinery? Maybe he thought they should try it on the gerbils back home? Maybe...Maybe he had a bet. Etsali laughed delightedly, turning to see which he'd picked.
"Ooh, Lifts, huh?" She shot him a grin. "Well, I think Flippy's got this! Here, look, if Lifts knocks him down, that little thingy there will- Swoop! Right back up again!"

Back again for more, Tevini stopped at the edge of the gerBrawl booth and peered at today's combatants. No crazy robotic appendages today but instead a game of endurance. She was impressed by the mechanics of Flippy's device but secretly hoped Lifts would lift off and take the crown. Tevini was a slow and steady kind of gall.

As Etsali went on to describe Flippy's tactical advantages however, he shook his head. “But all Lifts needs to do is advance,” he replied, speaking slowly. “If he... or she pushes Flippy into a corner, Flippy won't have the mobility to use his springboard. Besides, Flippy has no offense.”Another pause. Bloodthirsty cries filled the gap as the combatants raged in the ring. Bloodthirsting, squeaking cries... Who was he kidding? They sounded adorable. They looked adorable. These were not fighters. They were gerbils. “Actually, this is stupid,” Ephias said suddenly. He leaned forward, grasping the rail. “YOU CAN DO IT, LIFTS! GET HIM IN A CORNER!”Degras Thysson was, without a shadow of a doubt, not Ephias Sagine.
