Muris kept her eyes closed. She didn't really care anymore. She could tell that they were attempting to frighten her, or to bargain with her for her life. They didn't realize she had already accepted her own death.

Her eyes opened briefly at Aranea's return, but closed again afterwards. Would they just get it over with? She was amused, mostly, at Lupinus' offer. As though there were anything of importance she could tell him. Besides, she would not betray her people. They would come get Whinny on their own, they didn't need her bargaining for the girl.

'Stay, go, I dont mind either way,' she said coolly. He could play disinterested all he liked. She had a task to do.
'First things first,' she said out loud, moving back into the cell. The Fey had shut her eyes, but Aranea could tell she wasnt sleeping. Her breathing was too quick. She picked up an empty glass phial, kneeling and sliding her new knife from its sheath on her leg. Moving over to Muris's left arm, she pressed the tip into her flesh, watching as the crimson fluid spilled onto the skin's surface. She took the phial, popping the cork and catching the blood. When she thought she had enough she took the phial away, pressing a finger against the wound she had made until the bleeding stopped. Of course she only did this so that the prisoner didnt pass out before she started to question her. The phial was safely put to one side.
She moved back to her tools, undoing the flask of water she had bought with her. She poured a measure of the water deliberately and slowly into a small metallic cup. She held it before Muris;
'Would you like a drink?' she asked, the expression on her face giving little away as to what she planned.

A small whimper was the only sound that escaped Muris' lips as the knife bit into her arm. And she kept her eyes closed. She didn't want to see the bleeding, and she didn't want to see the Moon Fey. She just wanted to die already.

She shook her head at the offer of water,
"Just kill me already and get it over with. There's no point in you continuing. I'm not going to tell you anything."

She tilted the cup, shrugging, as she let the water drench Muris's feet;
'Oh yes my dear,' she hissed, kneeling and taking hold of the Fey's chin between two pinching fingers.
'I could kill you here and now. But what fun is a quick death? You see - there are two ways to go. Quickly,' she smiled.
'Or piece by piece...so very slowly. What you tell me will depend on which happens to you.' she let go of her chin, patting her condescendingly between the ears and standing again.

Lupinus shrugged, silently walking over to lean against the wall where he'd have a better view. This ought to be entertaining, after all, and he did want to hear if Aranea did get the prisoner talking. It was too bad they only had one prisoner, though. He suspected interrogation would be much more effective if they saw their companions in pain. Otherwise, like this one, they would just ask for the end to come quickly. So self-sacrificing, but with so much weakness when it came to others.

Silent footsteps padded towards the cells, Feles' tail swishing behind him with each step. The cat's eyes adjusted to the dim light, and he paused for a moment when he heard voices ahead. One was Aranea... but there were others as well, besides the little prisoner.

There were two, he noted as he came around the corner and paused with one hand resting on the edge of the wall. Now he wasn't certain if he should continue on...

Lupinus he knew, the wolf familiar to him from the ball. The other, though, was new to him. Even her scent was strange to his senses... how many other children were there that he didn't know about?

Aranea moved from Muris, going over to where she had left her tools. Her eyes flickered over to where Lupinus stood; so he had decided to stay after all. Standing there, sorting through the phials in her hands, she felt a sudden twinging pain deep within. Pausing to take a breath, she wiped her forehead. Why was she perspiring down here? She put what she was holding down hurriedly, moving from the cell and away from the prisoner's view as the feeling surged through her once more. She had felt this only once before; but it had not come on as quickly. Growing again? And now? She fell to her knees a few cells down and hopefully out of the Muris's sight.

Feles took a quick step forward when he saw Areana run. Where was she going? He paused then, his gaze slanting to Lupinus and the girl once more... he didn't know if Aranea had told anyone about their friendship, or anything else for that matter. Lupinus had been her friend long before he had... how would he react to someone else stepping in?

The cat's claws dug against the stone wall as he fought the urge to dart to the girl's side.

The painful feeling intensified, and she curled into a protective ball, one hand reaching out, her nails scoring lines into the dirty stone floor. From her middle, the light started, pulsing as it expanded to cover her whole body. She shut her eyes but she could still see light-flashes on her closed lids. A strange sensation of stretching filled her form and she twitched a little on the floor....and then it was over. The light surrounding her slowly shrunk then winked out. She kept her eyes shut, rolling onto her back on the floor, a soft tearing sound letting her know that she had grown...her dresses seams had split;

'That does not get any easier,' she muttered, opening her eyes at last and staring at the ceiling.

Lupinus started as Aranea hurried from the cell. He took a step forward, but then stepped back again and remained where he was. She'd be back, it probably wasn't anything serious. If there was something wrong, it wouldn't do to let the mouse notice, anyway. He waited a few more moments, then did decide to look and make sure she was all right-- the dim lighting was much brighter in the direction she had gone, and he suddenly guessed what was happening.

The light hurt his eyes to look at it, and he felt a little dizzy. He shook his head to clear it, vaguely noticing that Feles was now down here as he did so; he was fine, just feeling a little odd... The light around her had died down now, but he was feeling even more dizzy and his vision spun. Surely not now... not both of them at once, and in the middle of an interrogation? He wondered if he should bother to get out of Muris' sight as Aranea had. It was silly to care about being seen by the mouse, he decided. It wasn't as if she were worthy of that. His thoughts began to lose coherence as he leaned against the doorway and the familar pains shot through his body.

After talking with 'Mouse', Pteryx had wandered over to a part of the dungons where she couldn't be seen from inside the cell. That way, she could listen. She did feel a bit sad that she had started that stupid 'blind' thing, Pteryx knew that she now had to rely on ears when pretending to not be around.

Oh well.

She sat there, gazing at nothing as she listened to the older fey. And then another approched, Pteryx's head twisting up slightly in that direction. Who was that? She couldn't even ask, deciding that this pretending 'I'm blind and not here' thing was getting boring fast.

A bright light suddenly burned into Pteryx's eyes, unexpected. Forgetting her game with the mouse, she whimpered and shoved her eyes into her knees to block out the light. She didn't even take her head out until she heard signs that it was over. Was... what was ? Hopefully someone would explain it to her, because she hadn't seen it.

Muris paused a moment in her woes to be surprised that the Moon Court grew much in the same way as her own people. She barely caught the edge of Aranea's, but Lupinus was less than subtle about it.

Still, they were nothing like her people in any other way. Her people would never have treated a person this way. Her people wouldn't have killed Alcie. Her people were better.

And she wasn't going to betray them to give herself a moment's peace. If she died slowly or quickly, the end result would be the same. What did it matter if she hurt, so long as those she cared for...those left..would be all right?

Lupinus turned when he heard Pteryx, and saw her curled up, hiding her face. The light, he realized, just as he tried not to double over at the pain in his chest. "Pteryx..." He took a breath, forcing his voice to remain steady, "Look away again," he managed, as he began to glow. He closed his own eyes against the blinding light that poured from his skin, the support of the doorway the only reason he didn't fall as he felt his clothing becoming tighter. He grit his teeth and hoped he wouldn't cry out as the light became even brighter and the pain grew even worse, both subsiding just as he thought he would have to either shout or collapse. As the light died down altogether, he let out his breath and straightened, opening his eyes.

He remained where he was, not yet able to give up the support of the wall and allowed his breathing to even out. He thought to look back at the child to see if she was all right. Hopefully the light hadn't hurt her too badly. "Pteryx?"

"Again?" Pteryx echoed, but she did exactly as she was told, the glow already stinging her sensitive eyes. For a few moments she sat there with her head stuck in her knees where they were protected, waiting to be told it was over. What were they doing? It was like they were glowing or something, and Pteryx couldn't remember something like this being apart of life before.

Forgetting that game she'd been playing with the Mouse, Pteryx gave up trying to pretend to be blind and not there, peeking up cautiously with her still sore eyes. "What are you all doing, why are you glowing?"

She glanced at Feles briefly as she talked, as if expecting him to suddenly go bright and hurt her eyes as well, a bit surprised at this fey's apperance. But Pteryx just continued to look around, down at the adult woman on the floor, and to the adult Lu...

Wait, adult?! With longer black hair?

"And why did you grow even more? What did you just do, what magic?" PTeryx wasn't sure if she was annoyed at them for hurting her eyes, or curious about this slightly frightening thing.

She was... growing? Feles started forward, moving to the cel Aranea had run to... then saw her. His breath caught in his throat as he watched the change happen. Was this what it had been like for her to watch him?

"Nea..." he whispered, taking one step... then a flash of light from the side caught him offguard and sent him reeling back towards the wall. His back hit the stone, the cat's hands coming up to his eyes as he let out a plaintive yowl. When Aranea had changed, he'd been out of the direct light, but now with Lupinus, he found himself trying to bring his tail over his face, ANYTHING to stop the light from hitting him.

Even with his eyes closed, he could still see the afterimage almost like a negative against his eyelids. He could make out Lupinus' silhouette in stark white, surrounded by the dark 'glow' that was left behind in his vision.
