"So... it wants to get rid of free will?" She was trying so, so hard to understand. But she wasn't a cop who was quick on his feet, or a soldier with the will for it, or hell, even someone who read books and comics and was ready for this kind of s**t. It was hard. Autumn wanted to understand, she did, but it was all so ******** terrifying and confusing.
"And it's willing to kill us to get rid of it?"

Pax stood silently, and then hugged Autumn close. "The rosy one. She can give you. The herbs you need. Be safe. Please. Be safe."
"I'm sorry I upset you, Pax. But... thank you. For telling me. I know you have to get back to Heliodora, but," Autumn squeezed tightly in the hug, getting her last 'feel' of Pax for the time.
"Will you come see me again?"

"Yes," said Pax. "I know where. To find you now." It smiled, and patted Autumn's hair. "I will come. Soon."
Then it disentangled itself from her grip and departed.
