He was standing there, hand outstretched in offering. The senshi was still a good five feet away from her but despite the hard lines pressed into his expression, he was clearly trying to help her get out of this sticky, chocolately situation they'd managed to quarrel their way into. She paused.
"Why? So you can beat me some more when we're not in a public place?"
So much for being helpful.
Giving one final shove, she managed her way out of the crowd and forced the diner's door open. Cool air jumped up to meet her, the wind both drying and smearing the mess all over her hair and face. But cleanup would have to be later - she needed to get away from the squad cars that would no doubt turn up at any moment.
Eyes gazed around as she searched for the nearest rooftop to aid in her getaway. Drats - nothing in sight.
"I'll tell them everything, Derrick," She threatened, her voice raising to make sure he heard it, "If you follow me, I'll call the cops and tell them about the cigarette burns and the stairs!"
For good measure, however, a single candy appeared in the palm of her hand. Just in case.
