Jeremiah still did not want Algie to see a damn thing more than he had already. Not that he was going to stop him but his desire to protect the other was in-grained after so many years of friendship. (Even when they had been on different continents there had been moments where he had contemplated just showing up to do something but it was the idea that Algie would deck him for doing that that stopped him.)
The mention of ordering food was enough to drag the detective from his thoughts and he made a face at the idea of it. "No." The hand with the shot glass was raised and a finger pointed sternly at Algie. "None of that. I'll make something." Sometimes Algie's refridgerator was terrifying, sometimes it wasn't. The amount of women that brought him food was something else.
He frowned and pushed himself up with a disgruntled noise and an annoyed look (at least it was not because of what had gone earlier). "Are you in the mood for anything or am I winging it?" Algie was fixed with a blue-green eyed gaze, Jeremiah brushing hair out of his forehead and then raising an eyebrow.
