Week LAter

A week of scrounging for jobs and crdits was tkaing its toll on the crew. Sabine was going near stir crazy form being coooped up but ad relented ony when Dib had smuggled her in soe of er favorit food. She relented only the pormise that they'd have good fireing match on her relase.
Hera had gone to sell some items they had aquired while Dwinky and Dib had tkena small heist job for a local crime lord, nothing mjaor but it paid well.
t was when they were in the warehouse they relaized what they had found. It was a stolen ironically, stash of irken military grade weapons.
"Wel s**t." Was all Dwinky could say seeing the artilerary.

Dwinky thaught while bitting his lip. he had done this more than a few times and had been a more of a smuggle than a bounty hunter the last twenty fie years. "Let me see." he carefully waved his hand over the item,s first always chekc fo rmotion sensors. "The tech's new, rela new. Someone got these right off the asembly line." he noted allowed but was tlaking more to himself tan to Dib.
Careuflly picking up one of the blasters he turned it carefully over in is hands looking fo ranyhting amiss. "Irken tech I can spot on the outse and can tell if anything off about it, inside is another sotry." But form he could tell ...
"There not booby trapped." He said after aobut five minutes of miticulous scanning the hardware. "Bu to answer your queshton we were paid to deliver and if the Irkens do find out aobut it than it goes down on our employer not us."

Three Weeks

Thre weeks was still to ealry for Sabine to be moved in Hra's mind but she was recovered enough to where the facility had discharged her. Hese thy were on their way again the smuggling and hiest jobs ayed well enough to get htem back oon their feet again.
Saine though was stll restricted to light duty as per Hera and Reses rders but she seemed more subdued on the ship than at the medicle facitlity.
"Dwinky you sure that planet you gave me the cordinates for handt been blown to peices?" She asked the human who wa iwht her ont he bridge.
"Welll unless the Armad came threw here int e last three years, than agan.." The cordiantes he gave them wre for a to put it lightly a gravd yard sight. The plent iself was inhabbited but harldy sclonized by any one species.
Lot of good salavage if one was wiling to dig and get dirty for it. The romise of good wokable tech that ould be sold was to mcu to pass up.
The only thing was the corinates wernet mathcing up.
Dwinky was chekcing some number son his own personal scanner and mathcing them with the ship when he gave a 'ah ha!'
"this sytem the planets move at a faster rate than most we are in the rigt spot but just alittle ahead of the plane tiself."
"ah on of those." hera smirked getting it. Gravitation and al that cuased smalle planets in some systmes to have faster cycles than otehrs thi was one of them.

"The air is more paluted than toxic but stil dont recomend prolonged exposere." Dwinky said sequring his helmet. "The middle of theis graveyeard has alwyas had the best salabe just a pain in the a** to get to."

"Safer than going to an actual dealer for some of this." Dwinky climbed over a large peice of hull that had rusted and fallen apart form its frame. "Course after comeing here you always want a decamtmination bath, just becuase of the grime and smell."

"oh you know crawling threw rust filled ducts and avoidingfalling debri the works." Dwinky replied while squezzing thre a smallhallways that had been crushed halfway form a another hsip.
Nothing was new here rust had blanketed everthing wth a rown reddish hue whih made the distant wrecks looks like they were bleeding and in the setting sun it amst looked like fire.
"nice view though. Take out al the scrapped wrecks and it might actually pass."

If Zim hadn't needed this he would hav avoided this damend place all together. But he couldnt isk putting out an rder afer he'd held up the last three with no retaliation, psuhign his luck he ouldnt do right now. His scanners picked up the energy single, fient as ever that he needed and he had Gir drop him off in it's vacinty, near the middle of the graveyard. Gir was orbiting in stelath not far away and would alert im if toruble was nea.
Scavengers were always a threat.
He had to balance himself practically upside down on the tittering mass. Two of his ak legs dug in to keep him form falling while his real legs kept him steady. the other remaining legs provided him with hs tools like weidligna nd blades for the mtal.
So close.

While working Zim's Pak gave hima proximity alram, someone else was close by him. Growling in annoyance but knowng he coudlnt risk rushing hi work, he needed a spare cell core an htis was the only one fully intake. he owuld not loose it in a rshed state of fearng discovery. He sent the intel back to his cruiser where he knew, despite everything, Gir would recieve and work to getting bac to im quickly. Finally getting the outter layer of metal off he dropped it down into the abyss below him and began to careufly work on disloging the cell coe.
Carefully.His Pak gave antoehr bleep as the intruder got evne closer, by Irk the annoyance owuld be able to see him if he didn't whurry. well depenong on which way they were coming form. LLookng aorudn his helemts heat sensors kicked on to fully drive and .. there were two... By the lov eof Irk!
He could risk engaging and removing but if they hadnt noticed him .. pehrpes .. No no chances could be made he needed the cell core and he needed to move.

he core dislgd and he cuaght it quickly while his Pak legs extended and dug into the metal to steady him agan. Manuvering himself to be fully hidden ont e celling of the hull, well they would only to have ot lok up and possible catch sight of him. Carefull he worked on putting the cell core in aolding box and than claspd it to his side for safety.
the flicker of movemtn ... a shadow ... the intruder was coming .. clsoer...

Dqinky halted hearing .. soemthing like crashing. Crahsing and soudns were not uncommon but this wasnt a shi wreck shifting and collapsing tis wa .. smaller. smaller emant someone or something was tinkering near by. "Dib are you picking anything up on ou end?" he asked.
"You gusy go action over there?" Sabine asked threw the channel.
"No not sure just heardsomethign tha't soff abit and Dib's beign silent again."

"And why are you leaving so early?" Zim muttered whatching the heat signitures move away. Stange tey had gottne aware of him yet .... interesting. He should take this oppetunity to move out iwth his prize but knowing that some scavengers knew of hispresnce but were pulling back rubbed him the wrong way. A sitation that could devleope downward and he needed to prevent that now.
With ligtneing speed he laucned downward and scidded down the side of the hull, scretchign sounds and all and leaped towards andothe wreck.
Dwinky forze hearing that, that soudn was a lot closer. Whatever or whoever Dib heard knew they were hear now .. for good or ill.
Zim darted and scurried alon he wecks while leaping form one wreck to another. This was nothing personal but his own survival superceded everything else and if these two scanveges had to o .. than so be it. He peched himself inside a hallowed out cockpit and watched the two scavengers leave the wreck they had bee searching.
Two was easy.
