Olga, at this point, and after quite a few Tuesdays under her belt, was not phased by his 'no'. She never really was. Now wouldn't be an exception. "Have you...killed others, before? When you were...in the Navy?"

Sergei took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes. Then he tilted his head and thought about it.
"Yes. I have killed." He rose a brow. "That is, the normal for when going to var. It vill happen." He paused, "Sometimes, I regret, could've let live. But then the problem vould be same. Let them live? I die. Let them go? Others die. Sometimes, not so cut and dry. Orders are orders."
If she was asking if he'd kill again, most likely. With no hesitation.
Because he was a solider at heart.

Olga nodded her head lightly, picking idly at one of her many leather bracelets as she added his answer to her own thoughts. It was an unspoken question she already knew the answer to, at if he'd kill again, but she knew he was a good man, because he said something very important. He regretted it, sometimes. That guy from last night...he didn't regret anything...and he probably slept well at night, even after what he did to others. "...Is that a reason why you don't really like being magical?" She asked after a moment. "Because it'd maybe put you back in that place where you'd have to make that choice?"

He didn't think she would've caught on so fast, but he supposed, that considering circumstances, now she would understand.
"Yes." He leaned back, "Is vhy I have hard time powering up. Polaris, she is princess, but still child. I saw. Very young. You are very young. War is not meant for children, but when it comes, it is children who die. I do not want to do it, but it is all I know. It is only way that I fight. Only way I solve."

Olga made a face and then lightly nudged his shin under the table with a bare toe. "Heeeey I'm not a child! And you're not that much older than me---well maybe your soul is---but the only thing that separates us if life experiences." She straightened in her chair, and plucked at her bracelets for another moment, her brows knitted before she spoke up again. "I'm sorry." She said in earnest, looking up at him and frowning a bit. "I never thought about that when I kept asking you to patrol with me..." She stopped playing with her bracelets and flexed her hands in front of her before crossing them over each other on the table top. "I still feel like not going out there when you can do something about it is irresponsible though..and...well..." Here she couldn't help but smile a bit. "I'm really glad you're on the side of Order...and that I can patrol with you."

He rose a brow. Life expriences that had a very strong way of making him seem much older then herself.
And wasn't she like 3 years younger? Sergei didn't remember. He had terrible memory. The worst.
"Yes vell. Perhaps it is good now I patrol with you, so you don't end up this..." He waved at her, "Mess." He rose a brow. "Very messy."
Teasing.........or serious?

She couldn't help but grin at that, tease or not, but immediately lifted a hand to pressed against her lips in an effort to smother the grin. Lip. Ow. Still, she couldn't help but feel a happiness bubble up in her, despite everything that had happened. Just hearing him say that...ahhh, it just made her---happy. Gave her more hope. "Yeah---yeah, you're right, there, one hundred and ten percent." Her eyes crinkled into fox like slits. "With the two of us working together, there's nothing we can't handle!"
