Corrupt Super Sailor Chrysocolla - being rescued by Amphitrite!

At first - still drowsy, still eyes bleary with sleep - she didn't really recognize the voice. Maybe that was another waking nightmare - slash - dream - maybe it was someone similar. But -- she blinked, looked up, and it was like a veil being shed when Chrysocolla recognized her sister - she messily shoved herself to her feet, grabbing the door for balance. "Amphitrite -- I'm so sorry, I couldn't -- are you okay? Did they hurt you?" It was a rhetorical question. Even if Amphitrite wasn't physically hurt, the way she looked (the way her hair stuck close to her face) betrayed the obvious answer: the Corrupt wasn't feeling well, and wasn't feeling right. "I'm okay, I'm okay, I promise - I just want to go home-"

She was babbling. Again.

It distracted from how much she really, really wanted to crush someone's starseed between her fingers like so much glitter, though, so -- maybe it was better.

"I -- we need to find Sylvite...she's my age, I was teaching her how to patrol when - " Chrysocolla swallowed, drying her throat. "T-they got us both. I don't know where she is."

If she's dead I don't know what to do, said the hopeless look in her eyes, but that was something better left unstated.

General Jarosite - Open for rescuing

It was like a breath of fresh air. Whatever had been stiffling his ability to teleport, to summon his blades, to do anything lifted and he let out a gasp of air. He hadn't realized how stiffingly it was to be tied to the chair and gagged, though he'd dealt with that rather easily (really using cloth to gag him?) without the ability to do anything.

That aside, he was still tied to the chair, and his first attempt at teleporting from one side of the cell to the other had brought the chair with him. Great, just what he needed. To be tied to a chair and unable to get out of it. Albireo was sure to actually get out of bed for this one. ...Okay that was mean, but he wondered if she'd even noticed him gone for a week. Was it a week? It might have been a week. Or something.

It had been an awfully boring week, that was for sure. Jarosite sighed and waited, in the event that anyone came for him. In the mean time, he began to try to loosen the rope to get his hands free.

Ochre spent the last three hours staring at the ceiling until it split in two with weary lack of focus. He didn't care. He stopped counting the spots and flecks and cracks long ago. What he looked at now constituted an abstract painting of no value, no interest.

For three hours, his hands twisted and wrenched and writhed against their bonds. There were times when he thought he drew close to slipping free, but found the next movement in his fine explorations only set him back another half hour. Perhaps it would've been an exercise in patience if he had one single alternative focus, but with food only coming down to them twice a day, and their captors growing less frequent in their visits, Ochre found no other distractions beyond the acute pains in his weary wrists. Even his fingers bled at times, or a nail broke when he tried to scrape at the bonds. And yet, even through these intensive hours, Ochre found he made only a sliver of progress.

If that. Checking now, he felt no further toward freedom than before. Sighting over the ductape, he started again with wrenching wrists to and fro, with digging overworked fingers into the rope bindings. He heard footsteps then, paused, and looked toward the bars. Nothing.

A crash sounded then, and he felt a keen sense of freedom. Ochre couldn't explain it any other way, but he had little time to puzzle over it - soon, he felt the dawning breadth of the Negaverse spill in, unhindered, and he started to shake. Uncertain of whether he should despair or rejoice, curious eyes glanced toward the bars again. He couldn't find anything of yet in the blaring lights beating down on the bland environment. His nose started to bleed. The room grew faint. Cacophony rose. It sounded shuttered, as if heard through the filter of a radio. Something unlike himself whispered within. Thought began to slip.

His hands kept turning, turning, turning.

General Xenotime - rescuing Ochre

Uncomfortably aware that she'd let her new lieuteneant dive solo into the fray, Xenotime had to trust that even in the midst of her worry, she'd given Marcasite the training she needed to hold her own against their opposition. Or that the woman possessed the sense to get away from a situation she had no hope of winning. Everything she'd learned about her new recruit over the last week showed the blonde capable. Still, the general would remain on edge until she had found Ochre and made sure the both of them had made it to safety.

That meant a division of labor, and very quick search of the prison. Xenotime was slipping through the busted door on the heels of some of the others, and she followed along a length of corridors, pale eyes snapping back and forth as she scanned each cell she passed, nimbly ducking around anyone else she happened to come across, order or chaos alike. In her wake, she heard doors open, voices signifying captives were being released. She kept moving.

There. Endless lengths of red hair, tanned skin, pale eyes. They had him tied to a chair. The general slid to a stop, a hand catching on the bars to yank herself around, and as she took in the sight of him--nose bleeding, eyes wide--she felt the burning heat of rage swimming up within her. How dare they.. How dare they take what wasn't theirs.

They would pay. All of them.

"Hold on!" There was a flash as she summoned her weapons, and no matter how strong the bars were meant to be, they were not designed to withstand the strength of an angry general. Two hits, three, and the metal began to bend and twist, creaking. Finally, with a last angry shout, the hinges gave out, and she was able to kick the door inward.

strickenized

Something had gone wrong, or right. It was hard to say, given the gravity of the situation, but from the chaos exploding around him, Baikal had pieced together that the Negaverse had come to collect their captives.

Good. Finally an end.

The problem, of course, was that now there was huge fight breaking out within and just outside the prison. As much as he'd wanted to see the prisoners freezes, he'd have liked to see it all done, well, as peacefully as was possible. Given the situation. A fools hope, of course.

He was berating himself for his naivety as he raced throw the halls in search of...what? Her? Her cell had been empty. Even if he found her, did she have much reason not to want to hurt him?

Lieutenant Sylvite- Being rescued!

People were getting closer. It was hard to pinpoint the specifics- she hadn't had much practice sensing auras anyway, and right now, when she was barely awake... it was all a blur of energy and voices short distance away. Sylvite tried harder to listen and to feel, closing her eyes for a moment, and... yeah. She heard footsteps coming towards her, and she was pretty sure they felt smooth and cool and nice, not all bright and burn-y like Order.

She opened her eyes and called out, "H-Hello? ...Hi?" Her voice was a bit cracked from lack of water and use, but it was, kind of surprisingly, there. "I'm here- can you, please... help? ...Please?" She didn't sound very convinced, though. This had to be a dream, or maybe she was so far gone her mind was playing tricks on her... or maybe she was dead. Either way, she waited.

Valhalla of Jupiter -- Rescuing... Celsus??

”This is wrong, Celsus. We’re not like them,” he tried to argue softly, even when Celsus ripped himself away and stumbled into the wall. “Celsus!” he called to him, reaching out his hands to catch him if he needed support. “What are you even doing here??” he asked, his arms still offered, ready to catch the other knight but for now giving him his space.

Valhalla felt himself flush red with Benitoite’s words of praise, not thinking he was all that good. He knew his actions would be risking the lives of the senshi and knights involved in the kidnapping, but that had never been his intention. To be called good when compared to those other senshi and knights who must have thought they were doing good as well was… almost shameful for him.

“It’s fine, General. I can get out, myself,” he promised, but his eyes never left Celsus, trying to determine if he was sick or if it was something else.

Alexandria,” Valhalla said in surprised concern when the Mercury knight spoke up in his defense, feeling both relieved to see him and fearful for him. He was thankful that Alexandria had told him about what was going on. He only wished he’d been able to get in contact with Ganymede before running into Cinnabar.

“Yeah, I’m fine,” he promised, taking a small step to subconsciously block Alexandria between himself and anyone else that might attack. He didn't want Alexandria getting involved more than he already was, but he appreciated the company.

He glanced over his shoulder to Benitoite again with a small shake of his head, not wanting him to think poorly of Celsus, either.

“It’s okay. He’s okay. He was there, too… last year,” he said, pausing to look back to Celsus with mournful eyes. Valhalla knew what it had been like. He didn’t blame Celsus for wanting to show the Negaverse what it was like to be tortured and abused, if that was the goal in all of this, but there had to have been a better way.

“He was hurt, too. Celsus is okay, General. Alexandria… He’s a good man,” he vouched, although he was still trying to understand how Celsus of all people got caught up in something like this.

“We need to get you out of here, Celsus... you’re not well…” he said, taking a step forward to reach out and place a hand on the knight’s arm once more, if only to make sure he wouldn’t suddenly collapse.

Celsus Knight of Chronos

He felt as though he was about to be violently ill. The darkness was rushing up to him, thick in his throat, half choking him in its intensity, and the whispers were hissing through each and every crevice of his mind. Oily fingers through his thoughts, turning them black.

Celsus did not seem to be aware that another knight had spoken, Alexandria's words not even registering. Benioite's as well seemed to pass through him in a fog, the volume of them rising up and down like a badly tuned radio, so that it was difficult to discern who was actually speaking.

The memories of last year and this one were pouring into him. Tied up and kept in a cell, hands chained, the snap of a bone as one of his fingers had been broken. The lack of water, making his mouth dry, making his throat feel as though he'd swallowed sawdust.

And he remembered, too well, only too well, the feel of his whip in his hand, cracking towards the Negaverse agents. The tear stained faces that had looked up at him, pleading with him to let him go, desperation etched in their eyes. The snap of the weapon, the defiance, the anger -

He remembered trying to talk to the Negaverse, to the senshi that had been corrupted, once upon a time. Talk to them, as though he could possibly understand them. Once upon a time he would have been where Valhalla stood now, trying to reason.

This is why, whispered the Code, laughing inside of his head, a taunting, mocking sound. This is why you were never meant to be a knight.

Because you're pathetic.

A hand was on his arm. Celsus did not yank himself free immediately, his breathing labored, sweat beading on his forehead, his pale face and drawn.

"You brought them here," whispered Celsus, and his voice was hoarse. "I was never - we were never going to kill any of them, and they'll slaughter us, and you brought them here, Valhalla, how could you - I thought - I thought we - Do you have any idea what the bloody hell this will do to you? To him?" he added, with a desperate, sharp jerk of his head towards Benioite. "You seriously expect to just be able to cavort with the enemy and walk away freely?"

This isn't what I wanted. This isn't how any of this was supposed to be.

The world was falling apart around him, and he knew it. The desperate attempts at clinging to what little sanity and reason he had left were fruitless; all of it was slipping through his fingers like quicksand, dissipating into the dust, trampled over in seconds.

His head lifted, and he stared at Valhalla with eyes that felt too full of emotion, too raw and open for such an open space.

Lieutenant Cerussite - being rescued by General Cinnabar

He tried to stand, fell, and tried to stand again. There was such a commotion happening outside that it was difficult to tell what exactly was happening, and Cerussite struggled where he crouched, his heart beating very fast. He tried to maneuver his arms in front of him by drawing his knees up to his chest, but legs felt stiff, and it required a level of contorting himself that Cerussite simply wasn't built for.

He let out a frustrated sound, tears beading at the corners of his eyes -

- and then he heard her.

Cerussite's heart leapt, his pulse quickening.

"General?" he called out tentatively, and then a little stronger, with an edge of desperation to it, "General Cinnabar, I'm - I'm here!"

General Aurostibite - rescuing DMC Mintaka

He let out a sound like an angry cat. There was a clatter of metal against metal, and the door to the cell slid open, Aurostibite's arm moving automatically to catch Mintaka before she fell. His other, desummoning his weapon, had already moved to untie the bindings.

"Hush now," he said quietly, "You'll be all right. I'm not a mirage or an illusion, Mintaka, I'm here."

He yanked the silk free and then, in one swift and seamless gesture, swept Mintaka up into his arms to carry her.

Aquamarine stopped just long enough to show Azurite a look of deep annoyance.

“You're not my mother,” he said. “********, I don't even listen to my own mother. What makes you think I'm going to listen to you?”

Truth be told, he didn't really listen to anyone but himself. So... Azurite was wasting her breath. Still, he made a mental note not to get in the way of her magic. He didn't have the time to deal with that sort of s**t anyway. He had a dashing rescue to complete.

As long as Jet was really here. He hadn't heard anyone respond to his shout, so he was beginning to question whether or not his suspicions were true.

Aquamarine heard Cinnabar before she turned and went in a different direction.

“Got it!” he said, throwing a thumbs up over his shoulder before moving further into the building.

“JET!” he called again, incase the idiot hadn't heard him the first time.

Aquamarine found a line of cells. He went by them one by one. He saw a few people here and there, but since they weren't the Captain he was looking for, he went on by without trying to help them. It probably made him a shitty person and a terrible officer (and seriously brought into question why he'd even been promoted to Captain), but he had other concerns, and none of those concerns had anything to do with other people.

Finally, Aquamarine came upon a particular cell and found exactly who he was looking for tied up ********, you idiot!” he said. “Jet! You sure as ******** better be alive. I didn't just go through the shittiest week I've ever had just for your b***h a** to ******** die on me!”

Captain Jet -- Being rescued by Aquamarine and Azurite?

He could hear people shouting now, opening cell doors and felt the familiar chaotic aura wash over him, filling him with hope and relief. It seemed as though the Negaverse finally came to rescue them from the hell they’d been put through.

He heard his name being called again, and raised his head to catch a glimpse of Aquamarine through the bars. Tears filled his eyes before he could stop himself. He’d been so ready to give up if it meant no longer suffering, but they were now going to be rescued. <********… I could kiss you right n-now,” Jet practically laughed, despite his voice being weak and filled with pain. Dried blood still covered his face and matted into his curly, thick hair. He had cuts and bruises all over him, not including the fact that his whole chest and left arm was bruised from the broken bones he’d suffered.

“T-there’s a prince around. Called himself Castor… G-gotta get… the others out,” he wheezed breathlessly, but he felt calmer now than he had in the past week. They were going to get out of there, but they still needed to be careful.

Eternal DMC Mintaka: Rescued by Aurostibite

Mintaka felt the warm embrace like a child yearning for care. Her arms reached out, bandaged and dirty. Red eyes were glazed with pain but they focused on the General with such intensity.

"You came." She murmured. "I thought it was one of them again." She curled her head protectively in the nook of his neck.

"Is there other...others?" She rasped out, "Did they get Elsa?"

General Labyrinthite - Rescuing Captain Zircon

He'd responded to the call to arms issued by Cinnbar because, of course he would, he always responded to them. It was what the good little soldier boy did besides, combat was his specialty and it would prove to be an excellent opportunity to take his new recruits, Wolfeite and Tourmaline for their first practical run. He'd gone and collected each of them respectfully and teleported them both in with him.

He'd grabbed them by the back of their uniforms to use as his anchoring point then released them unceremoniously once they'd appeared beside the other generals, Cinnabar and Xenotime. "Engage as needed, priority is getting ours out." He instructed, whiskey eyes drifting from his wolf cub to his wolf pup. "Keep away from auras that are stronger than yours, do not engage an eternal senshi or knight, engage supers with discretion."

He was confident they could at least hold their own against same-level order and with the hunger and viciousness that Wolfeite possessed, he thought the man might be capable of engaging a super that was either combat-weak or inexperienced. He trusted that Tourmaline would be capable of handling herself or coming back to him if she got into a tight spot.

"Our primary goal is to locate and rescue Zircon. Short blonde hair, goggles, brown military pilot uniform. If you get in over your head find me or call me using the crystal." He was firm in his instructions and the look in his eye said, you better listen.

He wasn't going to leave any of his pack behind.

"Go," he said, not waiting for a response as he stalked forward, dove straight into the fray.

He moved through the throngs of people easily, slipping between them like a shadow with his fingers curled into fists. He didn't bring about his weapon, it was too large, too heavy for the close quarters and, he didn't have it in him currently to heft it around.

He wouldn't admit it, and the cold look in his eyes didn't betray, but he was worried. He hadn't heard from Zircon in days and after their conversation on New Years, he'd taken to keeping tabs on her. He couldn't shake the lingering memories, the flashbacks of a future that had yet to exist, and then --

He lost her, couldn't find her and couldn't find where she'd gone. It left an unpleasant feeling curling in his chest, anxiety or concern he didn't know. He realized it was dread when reports of other missing agents had begun to trickle in.

It made him seethe with fury when the call finally came and the missing agents had been found.

(Of course he'd responded, if it meant finding Zircon.)

He pushed forward, a man with a mission, jaw set tightly and his eyes narrowed in determination, concentration. He blew through the building with a singular thought in mind. He passed cell after cell, with little to no concern for whom might be trapped behind the doors if it wasn't the woman he was looking for. Finally, finally, he found her cell, with it's lock hanging on the door but the aura still thick and present. If her door was unlocked why hadn't she --

Seeing her, stretched out on the bed told him everything he needed to know.

His face seemed to pale, what was visible beneath his hood at least and his jaw dropped when he breathed. "Zircon."

He staggered, like the ground had tilted beneath him, had to grip the bars of the door he'd swung open. "What the hell did they do to you." If he wasn't trembling with anger before, he was now.

Captain Zircon - Being Rescued by Labyrinthite

Zircon listened to the clamor as other officers began to spring Jet free, but she did not lift her head to watch. It was too much effort to look, to watch someone else go free when she could not even walk from her cell. She knew no one would come for her, broken and unable to stand as she was. The Negaverse had no room for those who could not carry their weight, but she could at least take solace that some of them would go free, that the young captain she'd spoken to would go free.

It was a bitter consolation prize.

She felt the aura before she saw him, a familiar sense of smoke and sawdust and the glimmer off a blade. A startled bark of a laugh tried to fly free from her lips, but it settled in the stranglehold at her throat, threatening to choke her down. "Labyrinthite," she whispered, her thready voice carrying notes not of adoration or relief but of panic, and she pulled herself up by her elbows, trying to twist her torso away so he might not notice the unnatural bend to her leg.

"I--I'm sorry," her voice quivered, shuffling away to the opposite corner of the bed. "I let you down again, I'm sorry, please give me another chance." Her sunken eyes wavered as she took in the man's lanky frame, waiting for his weapon to appear so he could reap what incompetence she'd sown.

General Labyrinthite - Rescuing Zircon

He didn't know what injury to focus on first -- her damaged hands or her mangled leg. They were both so - so bad. "Who did this to you?" He asked, a low and rough tremble in his voice that barely noticeable. He was so focused on the what and who, that he nearly missed the panic lining her voice.

Zircon was scared, terrified of him, and it left a sour taste in his mouth.

(If this were any other time, if it were any other person it would have been different, but it was Zircon.)

"Zircon," he said softly, carefully as he approached her. He reached for her, hesitated, open hand curling into a fist when he dropped it back to his side. She looked as though she was a wounded animal waiting to be put down. She looked at him like he was going to be her executioner. (In another time, another life maybe, but no - no it couldn't be this one.) "I'm not here to --" he stopped struggling to find the right words.

He stopped beside her bed, lips pressed into a thin line and his brows creased like he didn't know what to do. It was an unusual feeling for the general, to be at a loss for not only words but actions, yet - here he was staring at her helplessly. Licking his lips, he sunk down to one knee, offered his hand to her carefully, palm up. "I'm here to rescue you Zircon."

I was worried, he thought but didn't say. You went missing and I thought --

He pushed the thought away. The captain had promised she'd prove her worth to him, she wasn't going to abandon him. No, she couldn't.

Lieutenant Huntite ~ Rescuing Sylvite

The Lieutenant didn't bother having his weapon out as he walked through the halls seeing how it was completely useless. What was he going to do with it? Put it on his head and make the enemy laugh themselves to death? But this wasn't what was going through his mind when he heard the cracked voice. Huntite was quick to head in the direction it was coming from as well as the signature. It didn't take him long to find the cell the other Lieutenant that was being held with in. "Don't worry, I'll get you out Miss. How badly are you hurt?" He asked as he looked her over. Even as he did this he got to work on getting rid of the bars keeping the young woman in the cell.

Lieutenant Tourmaline - Looking to Cause Trouble (and rescue anyone who still needs help)

Lieutenant Tourmaline gave her superior a curt nod to acknowledge his command. It was easy enough to follow him into the lion's den, remaining close to his side at first before breaking off to fan out. If she ran into anything problematic she would call for him or for Wolfeite, otherwise it was game on. Objectives: find Zircon, locate others and give them hell for taking what wasn't theirs.

Captain Richterite - Seeking Lieutenant Prehnite

He had made arrangements with Prehnite to meet up mid-week for a followup training session. When the other man hadn't shown he had chalked it up to being otherwise occupied. He had attempted to contact the Lieutenant via their communication crystals and he should have worried when he didn't respond.

Captain Richterite hadn't, however. Instead he had gone about his own business. People were 'too busy' all the time and he had fallen into such a spiral himself that two and two hadn't added up to anything at all until he'd received the call to arms from General Cinnabar.

******** it all. In what world did being captured make more sense than being busy?

In this one, apparently.

The Captain had teleported onto the scene, arriving along with some of the others. Some seemed to have an idea of where they were going while others were just running right in. Him? Well, he was one of the ones just running right in. There would be no talking his way out of things this time. Go in, find someone and get the hell out.

In this case, the someone that he was looking for was Lieutenant Prehnite and as much as he hoped to find the other man safe he also hoped that he was wrong with the feeling he had in his gut that he was there at all.
