When the girl didn't respond back to her, she went back on the wall, watching all of the events unfold. Argument here, argument there, drama, drama, drama like always, the kind of things she strives to avoid. Also the main reason she hated socializing. It goes back to what her mother taught her before she died, 'If you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all.'
She walked up next to Leon, not really caring too much about him, he got what he deserved, attacking him like that as soon as he appeared. Have some self control dude. She looked down at him, "You are reckless." she held out her hand to him, intent on helping him up.
❛✿≻ ⋮█ crowded mansion entrance lobbyxxxx❛✿≻ ⋮█ coworks & mansion elites!?xxxx ❛✿≻ ⋮█ fighting? has to be the wrong mansion!?
The woman didn't say much, which was fine. Amelia would have just smiled at Gwen, hoping they would be given some answers soon or a lead on where to go even. She hoped the rooms were nice and cozy! In her own world at the moment, Amelia had almost missed two people waltz in like they owned this place - oh, most likely the old man must have been the owner of the mansion. The other man, he had her gaze and Amelia couldn't help but feel a rather 'cool' vibe coming from him. Plus he was quite handsome. Patting her cheek, she watched them take the stairs. Giving them her full attention, she was getting fired up to begin working and earning her keep as the old man began. Finally! However, as the man spoke, it left her momentary frozen.
What in the world was this man talking about? Amelia's eyes grew confused and hazy as she looked to the others, some just as boggled as herself. Looking back, she parted her lips not sure how to take this man's opposite view on the discovered city that had rose from the water, leaving the scientific world blown away to get their hands on it. It was an amazing tale and everyone of course hoped it could be a mystical city, perhaps like the man said Atlantis. But, if what the man spoke of was true, what did that mean? Amelia's head was already starting to ache. The city's name was Amaranthine.
Still in a stand still, she registered the old man call the boy by his side Ashton. Knitting her brows together in distress, she took a few steps back. "What...?" Amelia listened as everyone reacted to this news, but everyone's eyes were now on Leon, who most likely wanted to put some reality back in place, and started to ask questions that were on everyone's mind. Before he could get out his last one, the old man had darted down the stairs and gave a horrible barrage of strikes to Leon's stomach. Amelia's mouth dropped, shock whisking her away.
Jumping in alarm, she took a few steps forward worried for him, but there was a growing fear for these two employers. "Leon - !?" Gritting her teeth, she was glad to see he was at least still conscious after that suckering attack. Outrageous! How dare he attack a student! That was no way to get someone to do something for you! "How dare you!" Bringing her fists up and shaking them, she glowered at the old man who had clearly lost his marbles.
Amelia's eyes widened and her spine straightened when the young man that had been by the wicked grandfather started to come down as well. Was he going to attack one of them too!? When the man known as Ashton did speak, Amelia's eyes brightened when he went to help Leon up. Laying a hand upon her chest, she pinched her wrist with the other and looked about for everyone's reactions to this. This was so odd. Could she even keep up? They were right, from what the brown haired boy said who had grabbed a corner, to the advise of FBI agents from "Conner", this wasn't a job for them. They were all just normal kids. Worried still for Leon, she looked back at him, but before he could get up, he was already trying to win back his pride. "Don't!" Ah - Amelia slapped her hands over her eyes hearing the sound of a whipping smacking flesh, though she heard Leon's struggled breathes - perhaps he was winning. Let's show him! Show him!? Show him what!? Her pressed flower collection? She really hated violence! She couldn't watch it. Another sole reason why she shouldn't be here right now. She hoped Conner was wrong, so, so wrong about her Hunger Game theory. Hearing a groan of pain, she curled her fingers away and looked to where Leon was not before, and found him all the way across the room. Amelia wanted to help him, but she was frozen where she stood. Gwen seemed unbothered by all of this and helped Leon up. Frowning down at her feet, Amelia felt weak already not being able to concentrate.
Looking slowly back to the old man who seemed not even a bit out of beat from such a fight, spoke to them once more. Amelia stared at him, startled in awe and worry. There just was no way this could be true. The man re-postured himself putting the cane back on the floor. The way he spoke, he was daring them to come at him. She hoped no one would, he was their host after all, even if he had a bizarre sense of mind.
Though the man was offering dinner, who was to say he wasn't going to poison them. Shaking her head, she denounced that. If he needed them, he wouldn't kill them. At the moment, food was the furthest thing from her mind. She didn't want to go back home in defeat, but what kind of test of will was this? Wavering her hands nervously in front of her, she tried to press the old man who surely had a dark sense of humor to forget about the fighting for today. "Uhm, sir, can we just - get a further explanation please, what exactly are you asking us to do for you?" First he talks about a city, and now he wants them to fight him? Something was surely up and he wasn't giving them all the essentials.

Ashton sighed as he got the message as he walked towards Denim watching them juggle as he stopped out of reach before speaking "Maybe your not a fighter but you seem intelligent, so work out a way to use it to your advantage" He wasn't to keen on hurting the others but h then pulled out a small knife as he smirked as an idea came to mind "For example your a competent juggler perhaps learn to throw knifes?" he offered the knife waiting to see what he would he

Cas watched curiously as the blondie tried to win back his pride and ended up across the room. Obviously this old man was a lot more capable than he appeared, and that left the pink-haired archery captain wondering whether they were all going to have to fight him hand-to-hand. She had no idea how to fight close-range, but perhaps her archery skills would be good enough. The kid with the glasses approached them then... juggling. Juggling?? Cassidy rolled her eyes, but the younger of the two men that seemed to be in charge handed him a knife, seeing if perhaps he would throw them. Maybe she wouldn't be completely out of her league, then, if they were allowing other methods of combat to be used. She glanced up, noticing that the young man accompanying the older man was paying some attention to her here and there between his instructions to the others. She raised an eyebrow curious as to why, but she could guess that perhaps it was because she already very obviously had a method of fighting that she could use. Clearly she wouldn't have brought it with her if she wasn't comfortable enough with it to practice somewhere that she didn't know, so that would look to the outside like she had to be good at it.
Suddenly a few of the other kids burst out angrily, seeming infuriated by this whole ordeal. They asked questions like why they hadn't hired the FBI for this kind of thing, why just a bunch of high school students. Cassidy couldn't help but roll her eyes in the corner. Of course, that was a very very reasonable question, but for the first time she had the feeling that this job wasn't going to bore her out of her mind, and so she wondered how everyone had suddenly stopped being so interested in this. To be fair, most people would probably freak out if they came somewhere to work, assuming housework, and got attacked by an old man. However, the thought of this having anything to do with the city from the sea intrigued her. And the fighting on top of that? She was terribly interested to hear what the rest of the story was, and so she was glad when Amelia pressed for more information -- there was no way Cas was going to ask herself and actually show her interest.

Brandon
~ Couldn't care less
Brandon did a surprisingly good job of ignoring the bespectacled brat from earlier and focused instead on the scene before him. A man who looked older than the butler came in with someone else and caused a stir with his fighting prowess immediately. Brandon let out a sharp whistle and even laughed slightly as Leon was taken out. The guy didn't deserve it, and it sucked that he was treated that way, but damn! That was too much! Next was the...other guy? What was his name? He was the wallflower...or maybe it was the pink haired chick? He couldn't remember where he saw this guy when he walked in but wow, was this guy pretty basic. He started in with an obvious question, why did he pick kids for whatever this job was. He was right but, it was obvious this old guy was a psycho, no getting passed that. Any motive towards intelligent conversation was moot.
Rex joined the conversation next, blasting in their own curses and comments. Rex certainly was a bomb! He wanted to go off! It was kinda nice to see someone that little bouncing around and acting tough, he was worthy of the nickname. Oh and don't think Brandon didn't hear Rex's comment from earlier. It wasn't like Brandon to comment when someone said something corny but he would never forget Connor saying what he said about what Brandon went through in contrast to him. They would get to talk later, if they didn't die here right? He slowly crept his way infront of him and placed both of his hands on the guy's shoulders. "Hey Rex, you'll get a tummy ache if you stew so much. Calm your little face kay?" His lips made a slightly pouty purse before he reached close to poke Rex's forehead with his middle finger. Then he turned around, observing the scene.
The blonde was quick to help her blonde brother and Brandon smiled, putting his hands in his pockets. "Hey, I agree with pigtails over there! Amelia shouldn't even be here, let alone forced to fight without an explanation." He quickly reached a hand into his shoulder bag and with a swift pop of his shoulder he dropped the bag. "I for one, have nothing to lose."
He nodded, running forward with a small knife in his left hand towards Ashton. At first he led with a quick right handed punch trying to knock the guy's blade from his hand. Should he succeed, he would have two knives in both hands and attempt to throw them both in quick succession at the old man! If he didn't succeed, he would most likely end up with a punch to the gut, as his thrust was a bit too forced. He would then probably be thrown onto the ground like Leon...or beaten up, whichever!
Gwen had said something about being reckless, and if there was ever a time to listen to a luscious blonde, it was right now. However, Brandon wasn't one for paying attention!

Ashton quickly turned and knocked Brandon's knife aside getting within to personal space and using the momentum to flip him over his shoulder dis-arming him as an afterthought before smirked a little at the guts of the guy "At last someone with a bit of fire" he chuckled as he put a little space between them and putting himself between Brandon and Arno. "So you want to give that another shot?" he asked as he slid the knife back over to Brandon with a small smile

Connor was about to jab the man with more insults and proceed to go after him, if it wasn't for Brandon stopping her. What was worse about it was that he....touched...her...shoulders.... Her eyes widen and memories flashed through her mind, the pain, the torture, the burning tears from her cheek, and the hardened grip on her weapon to take down the enemies with their red milk all over the shiny, silver knife.
She was wide-eyed and frozen as he called her "Rex", telling her she'll get a tummy ache if she stew so much, and to calm her little face. She was just frozen, unable to respond as he pocked her forehead with his middle finger before turning around. This made Connor back off and her whole body shake, she cannot figure out why she cannot just...recover from the incident 8 years ago....why can't she just move on?! She wanted to recover, and forget about it...but it was a mental and psychological scar that will never go away.
If anybody had heard of this story from her old school, it was close to explaining her tragic past. In gym classes, Kara would always change in private. She refused to change in front of girls so she would hide in shower stalls and close the curtains to get some privacy. Well some girls thought it to be strange, and even made a stupid theory that she was a transgender...or something. So one of them not only snuck behind her (which was mistake number one), but one girl decided to cup her hands on Kara's breasts. That was a fatal mistake. Kara immediately went on panic mode and punched the girl right in the face. Normally that would've been the end of it, but Kara lost her mind and started plummeting the girl over....and over...and over. Many people had to pick her up but that also made everything worse when she was kicking and biting them off her. It got to the point where police had to arrive and subdue her, and that made things worse for her also...cause the pinning down made it bad so she accidentally said 'Don't put that thing in me again'.
She had to change schools soon after since she injured many people. And that incident excused her for not changing into the P.E. uniform at the new school.
She then got back into the scene when the 'princess' asked on a further explanation, and then Brandon agreeing...on the fact the 'princess' shouldn't be here, let alone forced to fight. That was a pretty good stab wasn't it. Connor wiped her forehead as she then heard the man speak again: "Now if the rest of you will kindly come here so I may hand you your rear-ends on a silver platter we could get onto dinner. It's going to be steak and potatoes tonight."
"You're god damn lucky I'm not the type to make 'Renegade' decisions" She jabbed at him as she then was about to walk over when suddenly Brandon sped toward Ashton and they proceeded to fight as well. She could only stop and watch the spectacle in front of her. She just had her hands in her pockets, shaking and trying hard to keep her anger in check. She would rather just talk the talk for now, walking the walk would just be...to complicated right now.

**[Denim Baxter]**
Location: The Mansion
Feeling: Hungry
With: Random People, Amelia, Connor, Ashton, Leon, Brandon
It was extremely weird to start juggling when someone tells you to fight them. The thing was Denim wasn't one to who decides violence to his first answer not even his 3015th choice. Usually he tried to be very spontaneous, funny, or weird which could confuse or make people laugh. So that got him out of messes. Plus he did enjoy practicing his juggling he was very good at it. It was basically muscle memory as he looked around noticing that people were looking at him. Everyone's facial reaction was pretty much the same, what the hell was he doing. It seem a good many of them didn't want to fight them either. Except...well Brandon who he kind of did expect to want a fight, maybe he was stereotyping way too much.
Something interested him, Brandon had walked over and grabbed Connor's shoulders. Which seem to have completely paralyzed her. So either Brandon knows some sort of ninja like shoulder grip technique or Connor was in shock. From being grabbed? It had one possible explanation. Which could also explain why she may have become a transvestite and started to identify as a male. Clearly an interesting person to study...if she wasn't an she. Denim always got nervous around females and he kind of disliked that.
Seeing the old man look at Ashton as he knew what was going to happen. Maybe fighting was the only option but instead Ashton was very nice about the whole ordeal. "A knife? Actually I can juggle knives too look" Pulling out the dagger he carried as a weapon he started to juggle it with the 5 balls he already had. Honestly Denim could become a street performer or join a circus with how good he was at juggling. He was about to reach for the knife Ashton was offering so it could join the circle of items being juggled. However Brandon interrupted that and much like Leon got punished pretty badly for it.
Leon himself seem to want to fight the old man again and once again got beaten pretty easily and badly. But something about what the old man had said made Denim smile as he seemed extremely excited. "Food? We're going to eat! Come on guys lets just get beaten quickly so we can eat" Denim was extremely hungry especially after having to run. As each on of the balls came to his right hand he put it in his pockets, however missing the knife which almost hit his food. "Yikes...that was close" Denim grabbed it from the ground and put it in his pocket. Then headed towards the old man with a smile on his face.
"Alright just punch me in the face...wait?!" Denim said, grabbing his glasses and putting them in his pocket. "Okay I'm ready don't worry I'm sure on punch will take me down" Denim would say as he put his face out for the old man could hit him. As he was bracing for a punch or a smack with the cane. People would often think that something was wrong with Denim's brain especially with how he acted and Denim would completely agree with them he was weird.
The old man looked looked at all the others and then watched Denim approach him and told him to punch in him the face. The others were upset, he couldn't really blame them Leon had left him no choice. He was the first one to walk up to him so he was the first to be put down. Clearing his throat he turned and opened the door and the left side of the room. There was a long hall-way that lead to another door. "While I enjoy fighting I think this test is over. Come all of you. You have questions and I've put them off long enough." Arno turned and started walking down the hall and stopped looking at Amelia. "What I want? It should be obvious to all of you. I want that city buried back in the ocean." There was a shift in the man's posture as he stood up straighter and seemed to get taller. Right before everyone's eyes he grew at least a foot taller and the wrinkles disappeared giving away to smooth skin. Arno's hair grew out and his clothes became pure white. Tossing the cane to the side he stretched slowly then put his hair up into a pony tail. "As you can tell I'm no ordinary old man. Now please all of you join me in the dining room and we can discuss while we eat."
Leon stood up taking a hold of Gwen's hand. "Thanks sorry." He went to speak again, but saw Brandon get taken out just as bad by Ashton. Moving over to them both he held out a hand to Brandon. "I think we're beat here for now at least." Leon went to glare at the old man to find that he was no longer an old man, but a very young and handsome guy. "What in the world are you?" He looked at Amelia and mouthed the words 'sorry' what he was sorry about though he couldn't quite place his finger on it, probably for making her worry about him.
Arno smiled when Leon asked what he was. "If you want an answer boy then you'll come eat dinner with Ashton and myself." Turning around he started walking down the hall way knowing the others would follow him no matter what. "And if you're worried about the food don't. It's not poisoned, why would I do that to such fine food?"

Gwen took back her hand as soon as he was up. She did notice all of the fighting between the boys. Most of the bad mouthing was being done by two of the females in the room. She recognized the archery Captain. Foul mouth on her, enough for about three people. Man, the testosterone in this room was thick, stupid boys.
The old man's transformation was a complete shocker, which had her staring with her jaw slightly open. Not wanting to fight, Gwen just picked up her bag and proceeded to follow the old, or rather, young male.
Ryan took crossed his arms at the answer he was given. It was true I mean they were all chosen for the job so each one of us must bring something to the table he needs. They might have thought he was crazy for trying to talk to old crazy man but it was better than everyone getting beaten constantly like they were doing. He watched as the guy with glasses walked up to the old man and took his glasses off telling him to punch him. Ryan gave a facepalm accompanied with a sigh and said under his breath, "Idiots." He went back to crossing his arms and looked around the room.
There wasn't really anything he could use as a weapon and Kevin was in his tool bag which was taken. He knew he couldn't fight the old man as it seemed he had years upon years of unarmed combat. And outsmarting him was definitely out of the question seeing as how he was in a place that the old man knows too well. Just as he was going to ask something else the old man began to speak again. He was right Ryan had several questions, and fighting to get answers wasn't going to do them any good. Wait he wants the whole thing back in the...... Just as he was going to complete the sentence the old man become no longer old. Reverse aging? Now he had a thousand more questions than before.
Ryan clinched his stomach at the mention of food. He hadn't eaten anything at all because he was trying his best to hurry and get here. "I do have one question though," he said hurrying to get past everyone and right near the man, "what are we eating?" Kara 'Connor' Erebus
Connor took a breath as she finally had some courage to walk but this time she would have it replaced with another shocking revelation. The old man suddenly turned to a youngster. Her first words were: "Ah great, we got an alien." She facepalmed herself again, can't anything be normal today?! If she was a regular girl, she would've fainted from pure shock...or was it a Japanese anime girl that always fainted after they were given too much information? It's whatever.
She just walked with her hands in her pocket. She then went past a brown hair boy who asked what they were eating. "Seriously? You didn't hear him say we're having steaks and potatoes..." She just put that out there before walking off. "And if the food is poisoned, I'll just turn to a ghost and haunt your a**. That would be the day you wish you didn't poison me." She then went to the guy who she STILL did not get his name. "Y'know, it's rude to ask for someone's name and not give out yours." She raised a brow at him before backing off, he clearly had a phobia toward women for some reason she wished she could understand. Of course, that phobia seemed to be a thing to put in Anime comedies....or just stupid Romantic Comedies in movie theaters.
[Hey guys, you mind not quoting me if you are not mentioning or talking to my character? It's kind of a waste of time to see someone quote me, only to see they did not mention/talk to her in anyway. Thankies~ ^^]
"$h!t!" Brandon hit the ground hard, his beanie slipping off. His calm black locks fell straight down, a few of the strays actually falling to frame his face. To most of his friends, he was quite handsome, his dark hair being the staple to his emo swag. His tall body hit hard against the ground and even bounced slightly before hitting again. His back! His legs! His butt! Everything hurt... He felt the slight poke of his knife against his shoulder and reached to pick it up before slowly willing his body to stand again. He didn't slap away Leon's hand but he nodded to him for trying."Whoa Leo, thanks but I can get up." He said, his smirk returning. He was starting to understand why alot of people liked Leon. It was pathetic, but Brandon appreciated how baselessly kind the guy was. This was a tense situation and he wasn't in the mood to become buddies with anyone, especially sticker good guys like Leon. He might be sore but it was mostly his pride that hurt now. That must not have been impressive to the ladiez~!
He was almost completely unfazed when the prepubescent brat made his way to volunteer. He was asking to get hit and Brandon wanted to acquiesce so badly. This kid was obviously embracing the outsider hipster culture a bit too much wasn't he? He must have been dropped as a child, poor idiot. The next spectacle was the old man. It looked like he changed but Brandon's eyes were locked on the features as they changed before his eyes. What the hell? What kind of magic was this? Brandon had always been really open minded but his concept of the world was logical. Did this guy actually just, get younger, in front of them? Eventually the fighting and tense atmosphere subsided and the younger old man decided to take them out of the room and somewhere else. Everyone else seemed to be ok with following him so Brandon followed. Brandon kinda wanted to stick near Rex but his involvement with that brat from earlier was enough to keep him at a distance. Instead he walked with the rest, rolling his shoulders and checking his muscles for any real damage. That Ashton guy's a badass...

Cas thought that things might get a bit more interesting when the "tough guy" went to go after Ashton, but he was also taken down just as quickly. She sank back with a small sigh, before the hipster kid asked to be punched. Amelia had outwardly panicked about how she shouldn't be fighting, and Cas couldn't help but agree with the "princess" internally. Suddenly, the old man shifted into a younger man before their eyes, and that was what hit Cassidy as being the weirdest part of this whole thing. "You've got to be kidding me." She muttered, as everyone began following the strange man to dinner. Fighting was one thing, but magic?? The pink-haired girl hung back a little longer than everyone else, debating racing back out the front door, but her curiosity on what all this... person wanted got the better of her. In the end, she gave in with another small sigh and followed after the rest, bringing up the rear of the group. She still held tightly onto her archery gear, unwilling to part with it under these strange circumstances. With how everything was going, she was glad she had been so adamant on holding onto it in the first place.
