Hurst arched a brow at Sergei, who was pouting at his glass.

He let out a small hum. "Sounds like the military all over again...minus the supernatural powers." He shrugged one shoulder. "I was never the militaristic type...of course I'd find myself in this kind of situation, again. Irony says so." He looked down at Noel, giving her a smile, cupping her face in his hands and running his thumbs over her fur before looking back over at Sergei.

"So have you taken up this mantle as well, solider?"

Hurst chuckled. "Oh, good. You can show me the ropes then."

Hurst's brow arched even higher as he stared at his friend, amusement dancing in his eyes. "This sounds like a pre-existing condition brought on by someone else...do tell." He even went so far as to rest his chin in a hand. Very interested.

"You'll be back." Hurst replied with an easy confidence and his all too familiar smile that made many fellow sailors want to, and try to, punch him during their time on the ship. The man raised a glass in a departing salute to his friend.

"Until next time, Cody."

Because unlike some people, Hurst was content to let things go for now. There'd be a next time.
