That was probably for the best, saving further explanation for a later date. It had already been a long evening, and that wasn't even really counting everything leading up to the youma attack. Not to mention, there was still the matter of finding her brother, getting home. Coming up with some explanation of where she'd gone, and how she'd gotten away from the giant monster. Assuming, of course, that her brother had also escaped somehow... Best not to think about it, yet. Romulus took the offered compact, looking it over before tucking it down the front of her fuku. "Is there any time where it's easier or better to get a hold of you?" She didn't want to disturb him at work, or if there were important things he had to attend to during the day or evening. The shard, as she took that too, was given a quizzical look before she was tucking that in between the skin of her wrist and the metal of her bracer. It wasn't likely to stay there, but it'd work for now. "And that'd be fine." She smiled up at him. "So..." Bright eyes finally left the tall blonde, turning to look around them again. "How do we get out of here?"

”Any time is a good time,” Remarque reassured. He could make time if he needed to. “And don’t ever hesitate. Morning, noon or night. We’ll figure something out.”
He moved across the room, waiting for Romulus to follow him. When she did, he stood in front of a mirror. “We’ll exit here. You’ll learn now that all mirrors are simply doors. When you get a little stronger, you’ll be able to travel to this place--Mirrorspace. For now, you can travel from one mirror to another, as long as you know its location and can picture your destination clearly. Like this,” he said; he reached out to take her hand and then moved towards the mirror.
Its surface rippled and then he stepped through it, tugging her with him.
When they stepped out, it was through the mirror they had entered from, back in the cool night air of Destiny City.

It was a lot to take in, with the promise of a lot more to learn. Daunting, but exciting at the same time. Romulus tried to soak it all in like a sponge, eagerly following along behind the prince as he lead her back towards the mirror they'd entered through, and out again. She was never going to get used to that."That's just ********' unreal." She was gazing up at the mirror as the ripples smoothed themselves out and vanished. "So cool." That didn't even begin to cover it, but she didn't have the words to properly portray her awe. In mirrorspace, it'd seemed like time had stood still, but back again, it felt as if the clock had started up again. Romulus glanced up at the sky, the stars and the moon, before looking down the street. She really needed to get home, make sure Cas had made it back alright... "Hey, thank you for saving me." She turned to smile up at him. "You wanna give me that number? It's getting pretty late. I should probably head home."

Remarque returned the smile. "That sounds like a good plan."
He fished around in his pockets for a few seconds, pulling out both a pen and a sheet of paper. It wasn't uncommon for him to carry them around, and thankfully his uniform had enough hidden pockets that he could manage. He scribbled his phone number down and handed it to her. "You can ask for Jett. It's far less conspicuous than Remarque. And, what shall I refer to you by?"
It didn't feel too intrusive to share a first name; better to get the awkwardness of a dual identity out of the way sooner rather than later. It was never easy concealing a powered side from everyone you knew in your life, but he'd found it was a bit easier when there was someone to confide in. He wanted to make sure she knew she wasn't alone--and he wanted to make sure he was there if she had any questions or needed any help.

She took the slip of paper, folding it in half and tucking it down the front of her fuku. "Jett, got it." That was easy enough to remember. Easier than her own name. "Uh," she gave a small laugh, tucking a bit longer hair behind her ear. "Cassiopeia. It's a bit of a mouthful though, so you can call me Cassie, if you want. Everyone does." If he wanted her number as well, she'd give it. She wasn't in school, didn't have a job yet, so he'd be able to reach her anytime. "I really do look forward to learning more about all this, so I'll call you soon." She extended her hand for a shake, grinning. "And again, thank you." It probably wasn't the last time he was going to hear that, either.
