Mirabelle followed along with a smile, eager to do anything at all with Aiden. She hadn't done this much walking in forever, it felt nice to really stretch her legs and move around. "Oh, why don't we see your room first?" she offered, the twinge in her chest shooting forth again as it quickly died down. She wondered what he'd been doing all this time.
'He probably moved on.' the voice said bluntly as Mirabelle instinctively began to hum to drown out the nagging voice from reminding her of that possibility.
Mirabelle couldn't exactly take in the sighs like Aiden could, without her ability to see, she could only experience darkness. So many years ago, there were so many metas here that she could see, but there was no one now, which meant the only aura she could see was Aiden's. Mirabelle seemed to be counting her steps as she walked, either recanting how many it took to get there or trying to remember for future use. It was unsure.

Her room first... she felt that pang from Mira, and squeezed her hand in response. She knew what it was about, though she wasn't sure how to breach the topic without bringing up her own feelings. She'd long since let them die, but it was still... something she reminisced about from time-to-time, and some of her memories were still fresh. She wasn't sure how Mira would feel about it...
"Alright, we can go to my dorm first." She nodded, then pushed open the door to the dorms. Looking around, she examined the state of things... the commons area wasn't that bad off, honestly... She turned down the hall towards the room she'd shared with Edmund, ignoring that the dorms had once been segregated by binary means - perhaps she would inquire to Headmaster Rhun if he would keep the system...
"Here we are..." She turned the knob on the door, and then opened it up. Once inside, she flipped on the light switch and looked around... Most things were a little dusty, if they even remained. "Hm.... Seems to have been picked through..." She commented quietly as she lead Mira to her side of the room first.

Mirabelle had felt Aiden squeeze her hand in response, she had forgotten for just a moment that Aiden could feel what she was feeling. It was still something she'd have to readjust to, having been apart for so long.
She nodded as they made their way to Aiden's old dorm room. Yes, she remembered this much, the steps it took to get there, the steps to take to get to where she used to stay. Despite having been gone so long, this came very naturally to her.
The door opened and they stepped inside, Mira could smell how antiqued the room smelled as the room probably really hadn't been touched in 20 years. She took a few steps forward, running her hand along the empty bed next to her as she looked around. She couldn't tell if the place was visually different but it was far more silent than she remembered it being and it put her at uneasy. Closing her eyes, giving them a break as it were, she tried to think of memories of this place.

She watched Mira for a few moments, briefly wondering how this experience might be going for her. It wasn't as if she could see the difference, but she supposed the general atmosphere was different too... "Quite the bit of dust..." She murmured as she reached out to wipe off the desk she used to spend so much time at. A few of her trinkets were still there, a notebook, some shards of glass...
"I'm sure the clothes are eaten by moths at this point." She giggled a little, trying to make light of the solemn feeling of the room. There had been a lot of happy memories here, but as she recalled, the final moments were filled with fear and a sense of urgency. The humans were not pleased - if they didn't leave, they risked death...
She shook her head, clearing her mind of the thoughts. "Ah well... I probably wouldn't fit into them anymore anyway..."

Mirabelle carefully made her way around the room, feeling items with her hands, to get a better picture of scene. It was so quiet, but something hung in the air, a feeling of somber tension. Mirabelle remembered the day she was told the academy had been attacked. The tried to keep the information from her, but she forcefully garnered bits and pieces from the researchers when she could. When she learned there had been deaths, she remembered not being able to hold back to tears. So far away, she had no idea who she would never see again. She had feared the worst at that time. Desperately praying to any god that could hear her that friends, Edmund and Andy were okay. And especially that Aiden was okay. It wasn't until 14 years later after the school shut down that she was able to get more information about the circumstances of the event that occured through Rhun. He told her that there was a good chance that her friends and sibling were still alive. That was the day Mirabelle decided to become a scientist herself and help Rhun revive the academy they grew up in.
Mirabelle sighed, tears threatening to show through as she longed for the days of their childhood. She regretted so many things in her life. She wished she had fought to stay. She made her way to Edmund's desk, placing a hand on the chair. She nodded at Aiden's comment about her clothes. She had a point, it had been 20 years after all. "Maybe Aiden can go to the city with Mira and buy some really nice clothes some time.." she offered, trying to break the silent melancholy atmosphere that threatened to bear down on them.

"Perhaps..." She watched Mira make her way to Edmund's side of the room - having let go of her hand she didn't quite follow immediately. "I wasn't really able to bring anything with me, so I suppose I'll eventually have to head into town anyway... You'd definitely be welcome to join me." She smiled softly, trying to give off a feeling of pleasantry but...
The reality of the room around them was severely dampening her mood. She had no idea what had become of Edmund - or his family. Andy she'd long since lost contact with... All in all, the closing of the Academy had left her terribly alone in the world. "...Perhaps we should... leave." There wasn't any point in dodging it any longer. It was just making them both sad.

"Mira was only able to bring a few things as well.. maybe that is a good idea." she responded, "Mira would love to go." she added with a smile that she half-forced. This room was getting to her, she was increasingly feeling uncomfortable with being there as she moved back toward Aiden and laced her fingers in hers without looking. She then nodded, she didn't know how to respond to it since she knew how they both felt about the whole thing. They must have been very close friends.
"Where to next? We can see Mira's room... or go into town." she offered, the memories of the academy nipping at her to grow solemn. She was reluctant to give into that, however, she wanted to make happy memories with her sibling and make new friends. Something she had missed out on her entire life.

"I think I would rather go to town than stay in here..." She gratefully laced her fingers back with Mira. Some part of her was amazed at how quickly she was re-acclimating to being so close to her, but another part of her simply accepted it as natural. They'd been like this before, they could be like this again.
She gently pulled Mira out of the room, and then closed the door behind them. "It's a bit of a walk into town... Will that be alright?" Aiden started back down the hallway, considering her own limits on the journey as well... She'd grown stronger, yes, but long walks brought more risk to damaging her legs and she did not want to have that happen while Mira was relying on her... Especially if no one knew they were going in the first place.

Mirabelle nodded in agreement, "Mira would like that a lot." she concurred. It sounded much better than looking at things that only reminded them of past sorrows. She wanted to ask what had happened to Edmund and Andy but decided against it. It didn't seem like she would know anyway from her previous comment mentioning she had been alone for a long time.
Following Aiden's motions, she listened to Aiden's question. "She would be okay with that. It's been forever since she was able to walk around, and she preferred to walk instead of use any form or transportation anyway. She could walk for miles and not care as long as her feet stay planted on the ground. "Will Aiden be okay to walk there?" she returned the question, concerned for her sibling. She was eager to go to the city. Spending time with Aiden in a more relaxed setting sounded really nice. She had considered taking out her phone to text Rhun to let him know, but not only could she not see the screen to text him, she didn't want to bother with calling again. It was a hassle she wanted to avoid at this point.

"I think I should be alright, as long as we don't run." She smiled a bit and gave Mirabelle's hand a small squeeze. "Should we notify the man from before that we're leaving? You seem to have become quite the important person." She giggled a bit as they headed back down the pathway to the main building. It was just simpler to go through that way...
"I think that it's good that you have, though. Become important, I mean."

She laughed a little, of course they wouldn't be running, Mirabelle would sooner trip and fall before she ever came to a hardy stride. A fact that seemed quite amusing to her, honestly.
She thought for a moment. Maybe Rhun would worry too much about her if she left for the city, but then again he might worry more if she disappeared without saying anything.
'That's what the damned phone is for, isn't it?' Satya jabbed.
It was true, she was supposed to be her own person and not rely so much on others to get things done. Even despite being blind, she could still do a lot of things on her own. She shook her head, "It's not necessary. Mira is an adult and doesn't need him to baby sit her." she commented, not mad or anything. "Mira just plays a part in the grander picture." she off-handedly remarked, not acknowledging her own sell worth. Even though she made decisions with the intent of being her own individual, she still relied on the stars to point her in the direction of where she needed to go.
Holding Aiden's just a bit tighter, she felt more secure as they set off for the city. It would take a bit but she could already tell they would have a good time. She'd always wanted to go clothes shopping with Aiden, and now it would be more interesting.

"True, I suppose." She sighed, that hadn't been what she'd meant... "I suppose I'm just used to having to tell people where I'm going - so if I never return they know where to look." She shrugged, speaking nonchalantly about the possibility that on some days she had left home expecting to probably never return to it.
Once they made it to the main building, Aiden took the side path that would curve around it rather than pass through the inside. "If you say so, Mira. But I wouldn't sell yourself short." She squeezed her hand back. At the gate, she paused to open it up, then closed it again once they were both outside. "Alright, I figure it shouldn't take us too terribly long to get there if we maintain a good pace."

Mirabelle blinked slightly at Aiden's comment but quickly noticed that not what she had meant by it and ignored it, nodding lightly to acknowledge the comment.
As they came upon the city limits, auras flickered her and there again. There were many beings there in the town. She could not tell between humans and non-humans however, nor could tell if they were staring at them or not. She squeezed Aiden's hand again, trying to pick up off of Aiden the situation on how they were being received by the passerbyers. "Does Aiden see a good place to look for clothes?" she asked, trying to distract herself from the uncertainty of the scenery. "Maybe Aiden can help Mira pick some clothes as well. She doesn't have the best choice in style." she chuckled, trying to make light of the situation.

The humans in town were, of course, giving them dirty looks. But Aiden had grown accustomed to such things and paid them no mind... the only ones she kept an eye out for were the ones with underlying hostility - a desire to do harm. The nonhumans were less offensive - if any gave them strange looks, it was mostly out of curiosity rather than a place of ill intent... Mirabelle seemed uncomfortable, so she stuck close to her side.
"Not yet, perhaps up ahead... there seems to be a shopping district over there." She smiled a bit, squeezing her hand. "Well, I'd be happy to help you, Mira. Were you able to bring anything from your last home?"

Mirabelle was handling herself quite well manuevering through the traffic of people in the town. Being able to see their auras, she was able to effectively dodge people that may run into her on accident, or on purpose. There were so many auras to read at once, she had trouble pin pointing the general feeling towards their presence. Up ahead. Mirabelle nodded as she followed Aiden through the crowd, holding her hand firmly so they wouldn't be separated.
'Somethings not right...'
Mirabelle furrowed her eyebrows in slight concern. "..what's wrong?..." she whispered to herself.
'I don't know.'
Mira was very confused, Satya was usually very sure of herself but at the moment seemed confused herself. 'Everything is fine, Satya' she calmed the spirit, humming slightly to drown out her voice, not that the noise from the town couldn't do that already.
"Mira was not able to grab much as she did not have much to begin with. They are old and barely fit. Something new would be very nice. Mira has quite a bit of money, so she can pay for all the clothes. For her and Aiden." she offered with a smile. Being a scientific researcher had in fact paid quite well and being that she did not have any particular hobbies in the past 20 years, she had saved up a lot.
