Turn 4
Sarah's Attack x5: 50 - 40 = 10 (100 - 10 = 90% Defence Chance)

The Quazzar had been able to see the grim satisfaction on the woman's face after she had hit it with an attack, and it couldn't be more pissed off about it. She was taking pleasure in its pain damnit, and it was not going to give her that same satisfaction again. It was going to make sure that this woman had to suffer before she died. Perhaps it would spit acid down her throat so she could melt from the inside slowly. It would love to hear her agonized screams as she perished bit by bit. It almost danced with glee at the thought of it, though it had to return itself to a stable mindset--making sure not to completely lose itself in the thoughts of torture. The E-Trooper was getting ganged up on, and having a very hard time of it, at that. The Worker was there to put pressure on the other two, sure, but there was no way that it would be able to defend against both of the swordsmen for the other A.I. Core. The worker had to know that. And it was splitting its attacks up between the two men as well, which might not be the smartest of choices. The Worker needed to focus, just like the two A.I. were focusing on the woman. If they all gathered up on one enemy, perhaps they could kill one quickly. They needed to drop one of them fast, or they were going to lose this fight. 'The damn blonde! He's the one dealing all the damage! Kill him! Kill the b*****d quick! Besides, if he thinks he can go up against the master, let us show him how wrong he is!' The Quazzar growled as his attention suddenly flashed back to Sarah. The woman was a problem to say the least with how absolutely fast she was. The Royal Guard was here now, though, and it was doing a good job at keeping the little missy busy. It was time to make that smug little blonde s**t pay. However, just before it ran off to attack the man, the woman began her torrent of attacks against it, and she had switched her weapons, too!

The scythe was the first thing that it noticed, having it whirled in towards her with great speed. It tried its best to avoid it, flattening its body against the floor so the scythe blade cleaved the air above it, but dealt no damage to the Quazzar itself. However, after it recovered from the defense, the woman was holding a set of knives and she took absolutely no time to begin hurling the things toward it. The first knife was aimed for its eye, the second for the center of its head, so it knew that the two of them were in close proximity. With a quick leap to the side, two attacks were avoided flawlessly. The third had been aimed for his leg, and the Quazzar found that even though it had jumped to the side, the damn knife was FOLLOWING it! How was that possible! Though, as it got close, the Quazzar was able to bat the thing out of the air with the back of its bulky front hands. Though, as it batted the knife from the air it only went spiralling to the side before suddenly lurching back towards the woman. How was she able to control those things like that!? It didn't want to admit it, but it was so COOL. When she caught the last blade, she immediately hurled it one again and the Quazzar hissed as it bounded off once more, limping on its bad leg, sure, but managing to move out of the way before she could hit it again.

The Quazzar could feel the hints of fatigue creeping up on it, but it would not let that stop it. It would end this conflict quickly, before these humans could ruin their plans! As it bounded away from the woman, it jumped up onto the wall once again, and when it stuck its grubby little hands against it, sticking to the surfact of the pipes, it eyed up its prey. The blonde man was not being attacked yet--they were focusing the pretty boy--and that was a problem. They needed to kill this man quickly, before he did any more damage! The Quazzar pushed off of the pipe, rocketing towards Acel and attempting to land on the man's back. If it was successful it would immediately send a glob of acid blasting into the back of the man's neck in attempt to burn through to his spine. If he could paralyse the enemy, they could put him out of commission for the rest of the battle--and that would greatly help them. It could only hope that the attack landed. Or that the blonde man didn't turn around and skewer him on the way...sweet jesus, why did that thought have to come into its head. 'Please please please don't skewer the s**t out of me.'

Turn 4

The Worker was appalled by the strength of the cores that were sent to aide him. He was expecting many more of the cores to come at first--he had thought that the master would send droves of the bastards, not just three of them. But, he had to work with what he was given. He was trying to spread out his strikes, but he was not yielding any results trying to keep it even across the enemies. Sure he would be able to wear his opponents down over time, and perhaps they would all fall at the same time, but if they were all alive, they could all continue attacking, and in this, the Quazzar, as disgusting as it was, was right. However, he also did not enjoy being talked back to by a damn runt like that. He would have to show the little piece of trash who was leading this team. Perhaps, if the core wasn't murdered, the Worker would do a little damage of its own in order to put the thing in its place. If it did well enough here, the man knew that he would get some sort of promotion. Perhaps it would get an upgrade to its body--something that would put him above human beings--something that would allow him to rule this Earth as the supreme man. But, that was neither here or there. Perhaps his lips had been a little too loose. He was frustrated--so damn frustrated that these human scum had managed to interfere with his plan. Things had been going so damn smooth, and now things were all over the place. The Worker just wanted to finish his job and get his reward. He wanted the master's praise ...to feel needed--like he was a valuable individual instead of a faceless member of a race that nobody cared about or really paid attention to anymore.

As the Worker struck out at the pretty boy with the dark hair, the man saw the flying knee coming and was able to palm-strike the side of his knee in order to knock away the attack with relative ease. Even as the Worker landed from the attack and shifted off to the side, appearing behind Acel, slamming his fist toward the man's spine, the blonde man whiled around with blinding speed, using his strong arm to deflect the attack off to the side. Both of them--both of these bastards had been able to see through his speed! Damnit all! He ground his teeth together as he looked from person to person, his grip turning his knuckles white as he suppressed his broiling rage. Then, after the bastards had successfully blocked his attacks, they began to taunt him, and a vein in the man's forehead began to pulse as he could barely hold back the floodgates of his anger--the roiling storm that was locked away threatening to explode. The Worker watched as they both rocketed towards the E-Trooper, no doubt trying to finish the damn thing off. But, as the Quazzar blasted in towards the blonde man, the Worker followed. If the A.I. was going to strike at the blonde man, then they could all group up on him at once. The Quazzar went for his back so the Worker shot forward, the trail still glowing behind him as if he were some sort of streaking light, stopping beside Acel and throwing a savage punch toward the man's ribs. Simultaneously, the man seemed to disappear from the side and appear on the other side of Acel, throwing a second punch toward the other side of his ribcage, hoping to completely crush the man's bones before he could do any more damage to the A.I. that the Worker was leading. "We're going to tear you down piece by piece, blondie." The Worker spat, hoping the E-Trooper would follow their lead and strike out at the man as well. If they grouped up on him this hard, there was little chance for him to do much else than die.

Acel's Attack x2: 77 - 38 = 39 (100 - 39 = 61% Defense chance) (-8% From Acel's T.A. = 53% Chance) x1 Hit

This wasn't good, the Trooper realized. This human had dodged all it's attacks and following he or that blonde male had gotten a hit on him. The human may have been fast but they both dodged his attacks expertly as well. On top of that, the human was start to reveal their plans. If it wasn't the fact he was part of the plan and that he was much stronger than they were, the Trooper would have shut him up at that very moment.

The Trooper heard the blonde male behind him, but as he saw that both males were going after him at the same time, the Trooper couldn't block them both. He moved to avoid the kick the asian male tried to get him with, but he couldn't move quick enough to avoid the blonde's attack. The blades slashed onto the Trooper's shoulder, cutting through the armor completely and into the wires that laid under them. The Trooper backed up, holding his shoulder with a grunt. This was definitely not good. They hit so hard, the Trooper was sure he would fail if he was once more. And he could feel himself growing tired through the pain. He wasn't going to last long.

The Trooper raised his good arm, the other seemed to be completely useless. The blonde must have cut deeper than he thought. That was annoying. He couldn't move through the pain, it made him just want to stand there. The was definitely not good. With a sigh, he aimed his arm at the blonde this time. He was the one that was causing the most of his pain right now, if he could just get one hit before he went down, it may help the others. With a crackle of lightening, the Trooper sent a large bolt of lightening toward the blonde.

A miss? A damn miss. All of them. As if Sarah wasn't already having enough trouble as it is. Not that she blamed Acel, because she didn't. She understood the plan, she was alright with the plan, but still it was their two to her one at the moment. She couldn't afford to keep missing. Every hit need to land, or else they weren't going to get anywhere. She felt herself start to drop, her confidence was already lacking, now it was going even further. Why did she think she could do this? She was just a girl from a family of musicians, what made her think she could do this?

Acel's words didn't reach her, she only kept her back turned so he wouldn't see her face. She wasn't doing great, despite what he said. She watched as the Guard tore a line off the wall, not taking in the fact that it had been a live wire and sparks were flying out of the ends of them. Princess, come on, get your head in the game. Where was that fire just a second ago? Don't let a couple of failures get to you! Come on! The guard said, sounding almost panicked. He wasn't sure what happened to Sarah, her mind was locked up on him where he couldn't even hear her thoughts. He could only guess that she was reacting to the misses.

Sarah lifted her arm, letting the whip catch her wrist, it being the part where her gloves were covering, keeping any damage the whip could have caused away from her. She let it wrap around her wrist a few times before yanking the cord out of the Guard's hands. Before she could do anything though, she watched as the Quazzar went completely past her and went after Acel. She couldn't keep in the gasp, watching as the worker, Trooper, and the Quazzar were all going after Acel. She cursed under her breath. She really was pathetic, she couldn't keep an enemy on her. She shook off the whip from her arm, throwing her two knives in the other hand toward the Quazzar. The other followed soon after the whip fell onto the ground. She couldn't let it just go after Acel without trying to get it back to her. All those attacks on Acel was just cruel and cowardly.

She snapped her fingers, running toward the bug core. She caught the knives as they came toward her, not stopping. She spun the knives and launched at the Quazzar. She swore to keep her distance, but that was when it was attacking her. Now she needed to get close. She swung her arm toward it, aiming at one of it's eyes before twisting her body, lifting a leg for a round house toward one of it's uninjured legs.

Quazzar's Attack: 62 - 61 = 1 (100 - 1 = 99% Defense Chance)
Worker's Attacks x2: 90 - 61 = 29 (100 - 29 = 71% Chance) (+8% From T.A. = 79% Chance)

Acel could feel the shift of the attention within these cores as soon as they even thought about doing it--he could feel them with ease. This, however, was chalked up to nothing more than gaining a sense of battle--calculating, using Midas' skills, where they were focusing. Their very code pushed them towards him--urging them to destroy him. But Acel would not fall. He was not ready to back down from this fight, and he was grasping victory at this point. If the attacks fell on his back, he would be the angel of hope--the beacon of light that kept his allies alive. Acel would transform himself into a boon--a person that when he stepped onto the battlefield, the rest of his allies felt relief wash over them--knowing that they would leave the fight with their lives. He resolved never to lose another real battle. Perhaps he would lose his sparring matches against Dal'Mori, that monstrous b*****d that he was, but that would be what made him stronger so that he could walk forward and accomplish the true goal. These A.I. Cores would never, ever, get the best of him again. He grinned at the thought of it as he watched the Royal Guard keeping its eyes on Sarah, even as he knew the Quazzar would come for him. Three of the four...it would be hard, but he was prepared long before the A.I. knew that he was. This would be his advantage.

As the Royal Guard attempted to whip Sarah, the girl was quick enough to bring up her wrist and catch the whip, and Acel grinned. This girl was good. She was really good. She had been fighting all this time, and she was uninjured, just like the rest of them. Besides, she couldn't exactly sniff at her own abilities--Kawaguchi had only landed a single hit of his own. She was on their level, but the way the girl held herself--Acel could tell she was disheartened. He ground his teeth together, ready to shake her by the shoulders, though he knew he couldn't do something like that in the midst of battle. She had blocked the Royal Guard's attack and that was all that mattered. It was then that he had executed his movements with Akio--and the double attack had worked wonders. Acel had gone high, and Akio had attacked low, and doing the dual attack meant the damn thing had only one place to go--right into his clutches. Acel felt the swords blast through the metal of the thing's arm as he spun through the air, and when he landed, he turned to see the damage had been rather extensive. Though, when he threw his sword, the damn E-Trooper seemed to not even notice it or have to take any action against it, the sword just sailed through the air and hit the ground harmlessly a few meters behind the thing. Acel opened his mouth to say something, but decided against it as he flushed, embarrassed about the bad toss. He had tried, at least.

He had been keeping track of the entire area, as he had usually done, and he knew that the Quazzar had finally reached the area that it would be trying to attack Acel from. Acel looked slightly toward the ground and he smiled as he closed his eyes, allowing Midas' senses and his own to seemingly connect. Even with his eyes closed, the sensors from Midas allowed him to view everything in crystal clarity. "Acel, come on. You know I told you to take it easy, right?" Acel grinned as he focused on the movements of the A.I. Cores that were closing in on him. "You worry too much, Midas. So please, stop with your overbearing motherly bullshit." Acel snapped, already feeling the sensations of power washing over his body. He bit his lip slightly, revelling in the feeling as the Quazzar blasted through the air toward his back. "Fine, you know what, Acel? Go to hell. You can ******** lose yourself all you want. I won't even try to stop you from--" Like every time before that, the damn thing's voice cut out once again, fading off into a muddled bunch of words that Acel would never be able to retrieve. While the Quazzar was coming through the air, the Worker was also making his move, shooting through the battlefield and aiming a vicious punch toward Acel's ribs--easily re-maneuvering to aim a second punch at the exact same time towards this opposite side of his rib cage as well. As the attacks all tried to land simultaneously, Acel calculated everything in an instant. His brain was rocketing through all the information he was drawing off of and he calculated the perfect movement. He dropped his body low, kicking viciously toward the original attack of the Worker, just as he was making it, and simultaneously, swinging his sword down, as he spun so that he would turn one hundred and eighty degrees as he swung the blade down. The result: his leg connected with the ankle of the Worker and it continued through, completely sweeping him off of his feet, so that when he appeared to make the second attack, he was actually mid-air still falling and landed on his a** before he could do anything, and then at the same time, the blade came down and smashed against the bulky portion of the Quazzar's front arms, sending the bug-like core rocketing off to the side. At this point, the E-Trooper had raised its arm, and even though Acel's back was currently to the core, he could see the thing through Midas' sensors and he smirked as the blast of lightning came for him and he shifted his footing slightly without even looking at the thing, letting the blast just narrowly pass by him as he turned to Akio. "You finish the Trooper off, Kawaguchi. I will go for the tin man again. This guy should go down soon, and with any luck, I can start whittling the Guard down too." Acel stated with a curt nod as he blasted forward, moving toward the Royal Guard at high speed before he jumped up and grabbed a pipe attached to the ceiling to use to swing himself forward and fly through the air.

As he was going through the air, he kept track of where his sword rested on the ground, and when he landed, he rolled forward, grabbing the sword mid-roll and then he popped back up to his feet, holding both of them in his hands once again. He sighed in relief as he felt the twin swords, once more, but he put one of them back, sheathing the blade that he had been using and holding only the first blade in his hands. He gripped it tightly with his left hand, knowing that he needed to strengthen his left so it was exactly as strong as his right arm. If he absolutely needed to, he would pull the second sword once again, but for now, he was going to end this as quickly as possible. He moved forward with conviction, blasting toward the Royal Guard and as he neared the hulking suit of armour he ripped his entire body down along with his sword to use his body weight as momentum and increase the power of the downward diagonal slash across he front of the thing. As soon as the downward slash was through, Acel twisted on his heel, running off of the adrenaline of this buzzing feeling that traced its way across his skin, and he felt the sweat begin to drip from his chest, creating a slightly darkened area around the top of his black t-shirt. As his body continued to heat up, and he pivoted on his heel, he spun around and released a monstrous kick toward the center of the Royal Guard's mass, hoping to do some damage to that armour it wore.

                                        Turn 3

                                        Worker: 90 - 63 = 27 = 73% Chance
                                        E-Trooper: 46 - 63 = (-17) = 99%
Akio breathed in and out calmly, watching the surrounding happenings carefully. While there was a lot going on, if he simply focused, he could catch everything. The guard had zoned in on Acel, as so it seemed everyone else did as well. The Quazzer, the filthy and strange creature Sarah was fighting, was so close to panicking he almost wanted to laugh. But… Sarah didn’t see that, so it seemed. Her knives followed the vile thing closely, which seemed to drive the panic that the AI showed on its face. Sarah, however, seemed slumped. Like she was losing confidence in herself. Once again, Akio gritted his teeth, eyes flicking to the worker who then hounded on Acel like he had stolen his most prized possession. That was the second enemy who abut faced and changed their attacks onto Acel. The Quazzar, and the Worker… The a*****e in him immediately thought ‘well, at least it’s not me…’ Akio shook that thought, though, going back to the fight. He didn’t have to dodge or miss anything this round, but he did still have to attack. Even the E-Trooper decided not to attack Akio! But this made Akio grin, ever so slightly. That left the Trooper open, open for Akio’s blade. The thing would be dead in no time… Hopefully.

So, Akio struck out, his first attack a downward slash across the back of the E-trooper. As the lame thing raised its arm in a pathetic attack on Acel, he slashed, drawing the sword quickly down the back plates as the humanoid AI. The E-Trooper had ignited its fist, lightning dancing about its fingers as he moved. The applications of that simple move was so vast, now that he thought of it. Lighting could enhance his speed, his attack power, his everything. Perhaps even channel the powers into his sword…. The idea was appealing. Akio wanted that kind of power. And it would work with his engineering skills rather well! Even if it was just an awkwardly set up joke on him set up by whatever god there was up there, if there was. Not to mention, an AI that would actually be useful to him, rather than just mutter angrily in the back of his head, sulking. This one had been outside for a longer period of time, more fresh in the outside world. Probably more powerful, too. It knew more things, perhaps had knowledge of things outside the labs in the Asia Branch, or any of the labs really. Akio let out a sharp breath. He wanted it, suddenly. It was tempting to absorb the power for himself, taking on the AI as a replacement of the Crushtacean…. There were hardly any cons to doing this.

That was it, he had to kill this thing with all he had, then absorb it. So, he attacked again, slashing up in a similar manner to the first attack. He wanted to rip the thing clean of armour to kill it fast. With Acel going for the Guard, and Sarah still after the Quazzar, and all the enemies going after Acel, he was left open for perfect attacks. He just… had to be fast enough. Akio twisted his sword before the upwards attack, then slashed up creating a long line up possible hurt along the E-Trooper’s back. The attacks moved over each other in the same spots, but his last attack would be different…. He pulled the sword back to his chest, then stabbed forward in a forward thrust into the AI’s back. He wanted it to be over. With the E-Trooper down, it would be significantly easier to take care of the rest. The three attacks had little time between them, moving fluidly between actions. His attacks, while not having a particular style to them, were effective and at least strong enough to do the job. And they would, he thought. They’d manage to kill these things and be able to patch the hole in the shield with ease.

Turn 5

Acel's Attack x2: 77 - 70 = 7 (100 - 7 = 93% Defense Chance) (-13% From Acel + Guard's T.A = 80% Chance) (-15% From Stamina = 65% Chance)

The Royal Guard could feel the fatigue slowly creeping through its body as it fought on and on against these people. It had felt like it was an eternity--a span of time that never ended as they fought. Like every bead of sweat that ran down the humans' faces took years to travel through the air before they spattered meaninglessly across the grungy floor of the underground passes. There was no end to the damage that the humans were able to inflict upon the A.I. they were fighting, but for some reason these baiters had been able to completely avoid taking any form of serious damage. They were stronger than they could have possibly anticipated. These baiters...they were demons. The Royal Guard wondered just how long they had been fighting--they must be experienced to be this powerful. There was no shame in being defeated by a veteran warrior like this. But as the Royal Guard was loosing itself in thought, the battle raged on. The Quazzar was unable to land its attack on the man as Acel made a quick block, simultaneously ending the Workers incredibly fast strike and knocking the Quazzar out of the air. He was most certainly the biggest problem. The girl was too defensively apt, due to her damn A.I. pet. The pretty boy...well...he was strong, it would seem, but he had been able to do very little so far, which made Acel the primary target. It only made sense.

It was a great thing, however, to see that the disgusting whelp of a man that they were working with had finally shut his trap, and as the Worker remained silent, the man and his pet A.I., Midas, seemed to be having an interesting chat. The Royal Guard, even after Acel had been blocked from hearing Midas' words, had caught the core's sentence ending, and its interest was instantly piqued. "The master...on second thought...would absolutely be interested in this one. He could be the key to everything." The Guard spoke, grinning mentally as he stood there, waiting as the final attacks played out. It would seem they were safe for now...all but the E-Trooper. The damn thing looked like it would fall over at any moment. Though...the Guard had to admit that it had done a good job in staying alive at the very least. Then it happened in a flash--Acel moved away from the E-Trooper and he was coming for him with ferocious speed. The blonde swordsman had returned his sword to its sheath and was only using one of them again...good...handicapping himself in the middle of battle was a mistake that the Royal Guard would not complain about. As the man came towards him, swinging the sword down the Royal Guard brought his arm crashing down to meet it, using the blades along the side to snare the sword and stop the attack from doing any serious damage. But, as the man reefed his sword out of the hold that the Guard had on it, he twisted and shot a devastating kick towards the center mass of the guard. The large beast of a core immediately flung out its fist, meeting the kick with a massive punch of its own to stop it in its tracks. But it would not stop there.

As soon as the kick had been countered, the Guard went into battle mode and blasted forward towards the man with determination emanating off of it. "You're a hell of a combatant, creature. But you're an affront to our Lord, and you will be brought before the Master for judgement. You can not be allowed to exist." The Guard snapped, moving in toward Acel and closing the gap between them in a fraction of a second as the Guard pivoted on his own hind heel, copying the spinning maneuver he had seen the blonde use before, and he swung his arm, spinning to add to the momentum and aim for a devastating attack with the blades on its arm. Hopefully it would be able to cut a chunk of the man off, and weaken him for when the rest of them attacked.

Turn 5
Sarah's Attack x5: 50 - 40 = 10 (100 - 10 = 90% Defence Chance) (-15% From Stamina = 75% Defense Chance)
Failed! - (250 - 120 = 130 Damage)

The Quazzar watched very carefully as it approached repeating the same mantra over and over again. 'Please don't skewer me, please for the love of god don't skewer me, why did I jump!?' And then, as the man whirled around, just as the Quazzar had feared, instead of attacking or trying to land on the man's back still, it watched as his foot swept the damn Worker off his feet and his sword was...no...oh god no! He was going to skewer him! He was going to get shishkabobbed on the end of the blonde p***k's sword! But as it crossed its hands over its face in horror, the blade hit against the bulky, plated backs of its fists and it was able to absorb most of the damage as it was rocketed away from the blonde and bounced across the floor a couple of times, sounding kind of like a wet sock being slapped on a tile floor. The thing shook off the impact, his eyes still on Acel, knowing that they had to remove the biggest threat. Everyone needed to go after that piece of crap and take him down as soon as they possibly could. Either that, or they were going to bloody well die--all of them.

The Quazzar launched itself towards the man once again, completely forgetting about the little girl he had been fighting before--she might have landed a lucky hit on him, but it wasn't going to let it happen again. She would not damage it ever again, damnit! She was nothing but a pathetic little gi--'WHAT THE ********!? OW OW OW OW OW OW OW OW OW OW OW!!' The Quazzar screamed out as a knife ricocheted off of the ground and the second one landed directly into its lower back. It cried out in pain, hissing at the feeling as it turned its head to look at its back, completely halting its run, only to see that the knife was already coming out of him on its own! The damn thing was floating through the air and going right back to the woman! What in the hell was she capable of!? She was using a scythe a moment ago, and now these ******** up knives that she could telepathically manipulate?! No...no not telepathic...they were controlled by those gloves of hers. Interesting technology to say the least. But as she threw another knife, it was ready for it, moving to the side and allowing it to bounce off to the side, like the first blade she had thrown. Its blood was leaking from its back now, dripping down its butt and its arm still hurt like a b***h. This woman was persistent to say the least.

Not two seconds later, the woman was blasting toward it, and the Quazzar's heart skipped a beat. Why were all of these people so damn SCARY? The human they had aligned themselves with was scary, too--but only because he was an absolute psychopath...these guys though...they were the real deal. Especially now that the blonde's stupid core had just opened up the whole damn bag and let them all in on Acel's secret. This guy was golden...and not just because of his wavy locks. He was a bloody promotion to Kilo Core waiting to happen if they brought him to the master. They had to win this, no matter what. As Sarah closed in on it, the Quazzar paid close attention to her movements, and as she slung another knife, the Quazzar stood its ground and batted it away with the back of its front hands. It was then that Sarah tried to launch a roundhouse kick towards one of its legs, and the Quazzar did what it did best--jumped. It jumped right up to the damn ceiling, even with its injured leg--though it did hurt like a b***h. And then when it stuck itself up there with its good limbs, it immediately launched itself from the ceiling again toward Acel. <******** it. If I get skewered, I get skewered. No worse than being cut to pieces by floating knives for christ sakes."

Turn 5

There was little more this man could do but die. The Worker remembered thinking those things as he had made his attempt on the man's life, but he could not have been more wrong in thinking so. It was unfortunate--truly--but the Worker had to admit it--he was outclassed. As he went to attack either side of the man's ribs, aiming to crush his ability to move his body in any way without complete and total agony, the man did something very unexpected--he pre-emptively struck out, shooting his leg in a sweeping motion directly for the area that the Worker would land for his first attack, and it damn well worked. The man had seen through his attack already, after only witnessing the skill once. And when he was hit in the moment of his first strike, his simultaneous second strike was also completely interrupted. The Worker felt his legs being taken out from under him and he hit the ground hard after the attack from the man. And as angry as he was, and as much as he wanted to slam his fist into the ground for his own incompetence until he had broken all of his bones, when the Worker heard the words from the Obelion inside of Acel--when he heard the details of Acel's origins, the Worker beamed. This man was not a replacement after all. He was not just an A.I. covering as a human being and trying to take the job of the Worker. The worker was secure in his human role of this entire operation. He would still be able to become the man that ran this world. Acel...well, he was more of a thing than a man, now, wasn't he?

Now--what he really had to prove was the fact that he was better than this damned imposter. He was better than Acel would ever be--in every way. That's what he needed to prove. The cores were following his lead, and that was all that mattered right now. Crush the blonde man. Crush him with absolutely everything that they had. It was their only chance. They had to absolutely destroy one of these baiters--then the others would fall shortly after. Right? But, the Worker also knew that they would be getting tired, soon. These baiters would feel fatigue in the same way that it was beginning to effect the Worker as well. So, as the Royal Guard fended off the blonde's attacks, and then the woman managed to land a blow on the Quazzar, the Worker was shifting thoughts around in the back of his head. What should he strike? Who should he strike? What was the best option? Kill the blonde. It was all that made sense to him right now. They could fight the other two with even numbers after that--for now they just needed to kill the damn blonde. The Royal Guard was making a spinning attack toward the blonde man, and shortly after the Quazzar launched itself from above, aiming to strike the man from a blind spot. At that point the Worker made his move, launching himself forward with a vicious attack as he slid across the ground as soon as he got close to Acel and aimed a powerful kick toward the man's kneecap, hoping to crack it out of place. Then, as soon as the attack had been made the man seemed to disappear once again, this time appearing from behind, and aiming a vicious punch at the base of Acel's neck. This meant that they were all attacking him from different angles. There was no safe zone. There was no place he could dodge to. Acel would be hit.

Akio's Attack x3: 51 - 38 = 13 (100 - 13 = 87% - 15 = 72% Defence Chance)

By the code, the blonde male was fast. He dodged all the attacks effortlessly. What had he done in his life to allow him such skill? He didn't look like much, but it seemed there was more to him that they all had realized, other than the Quazzar, who muttered how the Master would like him. The trooper couldn't deny that, the Master just may want this man. But that wasn't what they were there for.

The Trooper looked behind him toward the black haired male, just in time to see the attack coming. It moved to the side, dodging the first. The man seemed to be thinking of something, what it couldn't say, though it didn't like the determination he suddenly had on his face. The trooper dodged the next two attacks, thankful the energy he felt leave him didn't make him completely useless. He brushed off the black haired man, not interested in what was going through his mind at the moment, everyone was going after the blonde and it planned to join them. The Trooper charged past the other male, pulling back a lightening fist and punched in forward, sending the lightening toward the blonde instead of actually trying to punch him.

Turn 5

۩…………………………………………………………………۩

Sarah couldn't believe she got a hit in on the bug. It had dodged her so greatly, she was sure she would need to go after one of the other cores. She wouldn't want to, but the definition of insanity was doing something over and over expecting a different result, and she felt like she was going insane with all the misses she had conjured up. The others seemed to be doing find, they had brought the Trooper down well. Acel seemed to be going after the Guard once again, Kawaguchi was still sticking to the Trooper. Though the Trooper wasn't going down easily, even after the savage beating him and Acel had given it.

Sarah's eyes widened when she that all the A.I. Cores were going after Acel. What in the world? They just don't like him. The Guard said inside her head. Nice to be able to hear your thoughts again, you need to not get depressed, you literally shut down everything, even me. Sarah just shook her head, charging forward, dropping her knives on the way. She pulled out one of her swords, use to the feel of it taking form under her hands. What are you- Dear God did the depression make you suicidal?! Stop right now! Stopping the attacks won't help! Getting rid of them will. You need to attack, that will help Blondie more than taking a hit for him and becoming more worthless! Sarah hesitated, gripping her sword tightly.

He was right, even if she did block the hits, they would still be alive to attack him all at once again. She sighed, putting the sword back to it's travel form then snapped her fingers. She caught the knives that flew back to her from the ground, charging forward. She threw the knives at the Quazzar, all three of them. She was angry, she hated not being useful. She hated that she had very likely about to make a mistake. She just wanted to get this fight over with. The cores were brutal and God knew she hated that they were ganging up on one of them. She feared for Acel, all those attacks, he may have avoided them all before, but how long would that keep up? She snapped her fingers again, the knives coming back from the first throws. Sarah caught them throwing two more, keeping the last knife on her in case the cores decided to point their attacks at her. It wouldn't be much but it was better than bare hands.

Acel's mind whirled faster and faster, a never ending dance of nerve synapses exploding across the matter of his brain--lighting his mind up like a Christmas tree. While he was attacking the Royal Guard, he didn't need his actions to end before he had already known that they were failures. His first attack, he knew, would be met with the Royal Guard's arm. Everything that the Guard did--every movement, every sign that it put off mentally--warned Acel of what was to come. His mind was working so fervently that he was beginning to predict the outcome of things through microscopic motions that he would never have been able to trace before--that he had never been able to do in all his life. His sword, as he knew it would, crashed in between the blades on the Royal Guard's arm, snaring it easily and eliminating the attack completely. Then, Acel pulled his sword out of the snared position, setting himself up for the kick he wanted to land on the Guard. But, again, even as he threw his attack, he knew that he had failed--and it was infuriating him. He could see how the Guard was going to block his attack as he threw the attack, but having already thrown the attack, he had no ability to suddenly change it--he was watching himself in slow motion, but was unable to actually change the outcome of what he was happening. Prediction and manipulation were two very different things. He didn't have the bodily control, yet, to actually change trajectories in fractions of a second to account for the way that he knew an opponent would block his strikes. But if he could attain that level, he would become unstoppable. As he unleashed the kick, the Guard would meet it with a punch, and the punch landed square in the center of Acel's foot, sending a shockwave up his entire leg that caused extreme pain to follow. He knew that the bone had been fractured in multiple places, but they were very light in nature, and his code core would repair the hairline fractures in no time.

Acel stumbled back from the strike, and the Guard Followed him, spinning his arms in a vicious whirl to try and use the blades on the forearms to cut into him. And as he was looking at the Guard, his mind was capturing the rest of the battlefield, thanks to Midas...thanks to Midas. He felt bad all of a sudden for the way that he had talked to the A.I...why had he been like that? Was he really slipping into a different mindset so hard that he would backtalk his own allies and scold them for trying to help him? He knew that was unlike him, but a voice spoke in the back of his mind. 'But he is trying to stop you from unleashing your potential. He wants nothing more than to hold you back so that you die...do not allow your alliances to dampen your abilities. Use everything at your disposal." Acel had his eyes closed for a moment, as he concentrated on everything around him. It all entered a moment of serene timelessness. Everything stood still as he analysed it all in a stop-frame photograph. The Quazzar was coming down for him, attacking from above while the Royal Guard spun and swung his arms toward Acel's chest. The Worker was reacting to Acel avoiding his last attack with slight anger, though something was playing across their faces--some sort of hidden secret that they all knew. They were speaking as though they were savvy to something that he was not--and it dawned on him that they could hear the words that Midas spoke that he could not. And all in an instant his body lit up with fury--complete and total, pure, anger. It made his blood boil that there was something--something about himself that was being kept from him. He had tried to ignore it, but everyone he met seemed to ******** know something about it. How could that be? How the ******** did everyone but him know it!? His parents probably even knew it and were keeping it from him!

The Worker slid across the ground, aiming a savage kick toward his knee, and as he kicked at his knee, the traces of energy showed that he was moving around Acel's side and a vicious strike was also aimed toward his back. Acel had to do something...and just as he began to react, he noticed the bright flash of light from behind them all, and it sealed the deal. Every single enemy was attacking him now--they were focusing on him, likely because he was the one who had done the most damage with the strikes he had landed. He growled under his breath, the anger taking form as his body heated up, hotter and hotter. His skin began to feel hot to the touch, and the steam that had emitted from his body in the training room once before began to coat his body. It crawled off of his body like snakes reaching for the sun above ground, struggling to make their way above grouns. The tendrils of evaporating water from Acel's body began to flow heavier and heavier as he moved, but his mind went completely blank--his brain shutting down to the most base of instincts, and he barely even felt the agonizing pain of his body burning up and repairing itself at a remarkable pace. His mind broke the spell of timelessness that it had created as his thoughts worked so incredibly fast that he was capable of thinking of literally thousands of things in the span of a second, his mind processing with the speed of a super computer as he began his counter attack. The sword flashed, meeting the spinning Royal Guard first, and when it contacted the Guard's arm, the Guard stopped in its track, the spinning immediately coming to a halt, and the shock showed within the thoughts that it was having as it looked at the man before it. In a swift movement of Acel's wrist the sword snaked over the arm and with a slight change in grip he was able to use the sword to pull the arm downward with ease, yanking the Royal Guard's arm down in front of the sliding Worker, causing the Worker to lash out and land the kick on the Royal Guard's arm instead. In the same moment Acel had already drawn his second sword and lashed upwards in a vicious back-handed swing that brought the dull edge of the blade up and into the gut of the Quazzar as it came down toward him and sent the bug-like creature blasting through the air and into the wall of the underground. User Image

Immediately after the upward swing, he was already spinning, his body moving so fast that it was unbelievable to watch--his limbs becoming invisible as they were moving too quickly, his muscles tearing and agony screaming through his body as he did things he was physically incapable of--that any human being was incapable of, and yet the steam continued to pour off of his body, and his rage was all his mind could comprehend--the endless tides of rage. The sword he had used to pull the Royal Guard's arm down flashed as he turned with it and Acel lashed out with that arm, the surprised look on the Worker's face sent a wave of satisfaction through him as the fist crunched into his forehead and sent him flipping backwards onto his a** before he could land the punch. The defensive blows would hurt, sure, but they wouldn't cause any serious damage to them. Then, as the lightning neared him, Acel whipped around and placed the swords he was carrying hilt-to-hilt, slamming the edge of one into the ground, and the other edge pointing directly up. The lightning hit the top sword and immediately followed the quickest way to the ground, through the bottom sword, saving Acel from any damage at all. He breathed out, steam coming from his breath and looking like he could breathe fire at any second. His face was left with tendrils of white and black energy moving across the surface, near his eyes, and his eyes themselves were no longer the lifeless grey that they had always been. They danced with flames, the yellow and orange and red moving and swaying within them. The tips of his hair blackened and the steam around his head began to turn dark as well as his hair seemed to become consumed with the hatred that was emanating from his body. The heat burning away the lengths of hair that dared to touch his shoulders as he was left with short, black hair.

As he stood there, unlike all of the times before this, he began to feel some from of clarity--his mind returning to him bit by bit--though he did not return to himself. He was merely feeling more--he felt the hate--the anger--it drove him--it consumed him. He grinned as he stood there, and he held his blades tightly as he looked from enemy to enemy. "If you wish to take me back to my original body, you will have take this body back as a corpse. Besides...you are all...so...weak. You think you can stand against any of these baiters? You think you can stand against the Angel of Despair!?" His laughter echoed off of the walls--or was it that his voice was split into two separate vocal ranges, sounding as though his voice was everywhere, and there were multiple people speaking. His grin faded as his eyes seemed to ignite. He dove forward, blasting toward the Royal Guard, the agony his body was feeling masked by the darkness that consumed him whole. "Please, Acel...don't go any deeper than this...don't go any deeper. Your mind can't take it all at once. You'll kill yourself. And even if you don't...you're not ready to--" "You think that he's here, Midas? The Acel you know is buried. Do you think he would accept me? That he would mentally accept that he is what he hates the most? Oh, but trust me, you filthy dog...I will revel in the despair that he is consumed by when he learns the truth...that it was by his own hands..." The laughter boomed out against the walls once more, and his sword flashed down towards the Royal Guard, aiming to cleave the thing from shoulder to hip, and then Acel pivoted, spinning and slashing once more, aiming to cut from ribcage to ribcage and lop the b*****d in half.

                                        Turn 3

                                        Worker: 90 - 63 = 27 = 73% Chance
                                        E-Trooper: 46 - 63 = (-17) = 99%
A few more breaths, just a few more breaths….

Akio took inhaled a long breath before taking another look at what was happening in their battlefield. The battle had been going a lot longer than he really wanted it to, but that was fine, for the time being. He was getting tired, as he was sure that the others were as well. A worry that touched the back of his mind was his badass migraine that had graced his presence just a few hours earlier. It had gone, but only with the help of two cigarettes and some pain killers. There was always a possibility of it coming back, but he couldn’t let that hang him up. Akio gritted his teeth, something that he had been doing for a while now. He had stopped being able to land any sort of hits on the damn thing anymore and that frustrated him. But still, he had to fight until the very end. So, with his next breath, he turned towards Sarah, checking up on the small woman.

Sarah seemed to have a more determined look to her eyes, something that made the corner of his lip turn up. Good, she needed to be steeled to be able go through with this, with this lifestyle. Just like he needed to be.

It was only a second that he looked at her, then flicked his eyes to Acel, who had been swarmed with the AI’s. The man blocked all the attacks coming at them, fighting with a proficiency that had impressed him, ever so slightly. Both of his teammates hadn’t sustained any damage as of yet, and both him and Acel had done serious damage to the E-Trooper. Another smirk played at his lips as he thought through his next strategy.

Sarah had switched to another weapon, though switching just as quickly back to her knives. She was still going after the Quazzer, which was going after Acel, who was going after the Royal Guard. Akio exhaled, his mind working fast to analyze the possible road ahead. His deep brown eyes focused on the E-Trooper, fingers tightening around the grip of his sword. He decided that the thing would be his, and he would take it whether the damned thing liked it or not.

But he wouldn’t draw attention to himself by taunting it again, oh no. Instead, Akio took one final breath in and began his strike. The first attack would be another thrust forward, Akio leaning his body weight into the attack. He aimed for the lower back of the AI, and if the attack hit, Akio would twist his weapon and push the blade up for more damage, counting as another attack. If not, he would retract his sword into a slash, drawing the blade as heavily as he could down the back of the thing. The third attack would be to the Trooper’s neck, aiming to kill.

One could go down, then the rest would slowly fall. They would win, they had to. He wanted to feel stronger, to feel better and know that he had it in him to prove himself. There was a thought in him that told him he could do it, that he could battle until the end, but that wasn’t what mattered. Even if he could never be strong enough, he would still fight. Still work hard to move forward, to keep flowing.

That was what he could never do. One thing he would never let happen. Stagnant water was bad, especially in a river. It was their family motto for a reason, because he knew the negative repercussions from stopping, not moving, not growing. Besides, he had to repent. He had done something… unforgivable, and thus had given his life to the organization. He couldn’t stop now, couldn’t be discouraged. Not now, and not ever.

So he kept on attacking. Kept on fighting.

Turn 6

Acel's Attack x2: 77 - 70 = 7 (100 - 7 = 93% Defense Chance) (-13% From Acel + Guard's T.A = 80% Chance) (-15% From Stamina = 65% Chance)
Failed! x2 (385 - 210 = 175 Damage x2 = 350 Damage)

The Royal Guard watched everything unfold around it, seeing everything happen, and revelling in it. The man was being pressured by the secrets that his own people were keeping from him--the secrets that would break him. When the man's hair began to burn away into its shorter, darker form, and the lines began to etch across his face--black and white simultaneously twisting his visage--the Guard knew. It was already common knowledge by the time that the man actually mentioned the Angel of Despair, that the battle was already over for them. Immediately the feeling began to grip hold--something that the Guard had not felt in a long time. It was fear. It was fear of death--fear of everything. Even in the midst of it, the Guard could not properly identify the feeling of despair, but it knew that it wanted to run away. It knew that its legs were screaming at it to run, even as it was running towards the man, ready to attack him. As it spun and tried to land a strike on Acel, and the other cores all piled in at him as well, it was sure something would work--but it underestimated its opponent yet again. As it attacked, suddenly the man was looping his sword around his arm like some sort of snake, and he used it to expertly yank the arm down with the back of the blade so that the Worker's kick came and hit against the arm of the Guard instead. The next few moments went by in a blink, as the man savagely beat off every attack that came his way, avoiding every single strike with such proficiency that it was almost...heh...well, I guess it WAS inhuman.

It all happened instantly, and then subsided just as suddenly, and then the man had his eyes on the guard, and the thing felt fear creep into its body once again. As the man attacked, the Guard had no hope of avoiding the suddenly increased attack speed that Acel was boasting. The first slash came so quickly that the man's arms formed into a white blur, and as the steel clashed against the Guard's body, it tore into it, leaving a light gouge across the front of the plate armour--a weakness that the others could exploit running from its shoulder to hip. However, when the second attack came, even though the Guard could see part of the man's movements, he could not fight the strength that he was against. The Royal Guard's arms came down and attempted to slam the sword out of the way, but even as they came down, it was only in time to grab Acel's arms, stopping the continued motion of the attack that might have ripped the Royal Guard in two. However, the sword still bit deep and cut far into the thing's side, burying the blade in the armour and creating a very open hole in the side of the A.I.'s armour. Its mind was racing as it felt the pain surging through its body, and it knew that it was going to die. This man was a damn demon--a twisted construct of a world that should not be.

The Royal Guard growled in frustration as it stood there, cursing itself for the fear that it could feel working through its body like a disease. It could feel its will draining alongside the growing fatigue, and it did not know what to do. That was the scariest part about it all is that it knew that it could not do anything but fight. It was dead if it tried to run, and it was LIKELY dead if it stayed...but at least if it stayed it had a chance at survival. That was it. It didn't like it--but it knew it had no options other than fighting--and that almost helped it erase some of the growing fear that was driving it mad. Almost. The Royal Guard, however, wasted no time in counter-attacking. It snapped its arm toward Acel, aiming to grab him by the neck and hoping to crush the life out of the man before he could do anything else.

Turn 6
Sarah's Attack x5: 50 - 40 = 10 (100 - 10 = 90% Defence Chance) (-15% From Stamina = 75% Defense Chance)
Failed! - (250 - 120 = 130 Damage)

The Quazzar was growing more and more confident as it soared through the air--the breeze through its...not hair...whistling past it. The hoard of allies gathering around the single opponent. It felt nice--like a moment of pure bliss. It almost wanted to cry out of the sheer beauty of it--but it would wait. It would wait for them to part ways and for it to see the mangled body of the blonde foe. Then...and only then could it be happy. Could it cry those blissful tears. And as it neared its opponent, it saw the flurry of motion begin, and figured it was likely just the motion of Acel getting his a** kicked in. then, as the seas parted and the thing blasted its fist down toward Acel, its eyes widened and the bliss turned to ash in its mouth. It watched as the blade flashed upwards, and it couldn't even make a move before the blade had made contact with the Quazzar's gut. It thought for sure that it would be cleaved in half, but it was not the sharp edge of the blade--so instead, the Quazzar was rocketed off to the side, shooting into the wall and bouncing down with a splatter-like noise. It shook itself off after it hit the ground, dazed, but not necessarily hurt by the impact.

As it stood up, woozy, its legs slightly shook and it tried to prepare itself, knowing that the man was about to be put down, and there was a slight setback, but as the Quazzar turned its attention over to Acel, another knife found its way to it, one of them planting itself firmly into its shoulder from the front, and the other two clattering against the floor not too far away. Damn this girl was accurate, considering she was throwing three knives at a time, the b***h. Then the knife, as before, pulled itself out of the Quazzar's body and it moaned in pain as it felt the blood dripping down its stomach. the last four knives she threw...OH GOD! They came into focus at the last second, and the Quazzar saw that there were only two knives, not four, and it dodged to the side, rolling away from them as they, too, clattered to the floor. As it picked itself off of the ground, it lunged toward Acel once again, dashing quickly across the ground, careful not to step too hard on the hurt limb as it bolted for the man. It did not care about the master's spawn, or the b*****d human with the dark hair. He could change as many times as he want--he was still going to die! Damnit! The Quazzar busied itself, concentrating for a moment before releasing a massive glob of the acidic phlegm towards the man, hoping to burn into his face and remove some of those pretty boy features.
