Get Down With the Sickness

Character's Cert: User Image
Characters Name: Outlaw
Character's Current Personality: Cocky; he likes to consider himself a smooth criminal, capable of breezing his way through less than stellar activities then talking his way out of them if need be. Considering that he's a regular Soquili, words are all he has against foes of caliber. And when that fails, well, he's got plenty of experience using those legs to carry him the opposite direction of whatever trouble he's gotten himself into this time.
It tends to take him a while to get to that point, though. Outlaw isn't a fan of taking no for an answer. Unless someone bares sharp teeth at him or butts their horns his way, he's going to needle his way as far in as possible.
Character's Current History: Outlaw grew up in a small herd where nothing happened. Ever. They grazed in the same fields, horses suspected to get together eventually mated in the most predictable fashion, and any drama was petty and didn't cause any explosive events or major changes in any dynamics. Everything felt like routine, always. Even mourning deceased herd members was more like a ritual because someone else would inevitably take their place in some way, shape, or form.
Eventually, he grew sick of it, bored out of his skull with how unreal it felt and how tight-knit everything had to be. Because of these restraints, he ran off. There had to be more to life than this!
How Does Your Character Get Cursed? He was told not to go to the cursed graveyard. Heck, even as a colt, older herdmembers would scare the foals straight with tales about the graveyard and how bad foals get eaten by skinwalkers, etc etc. Outlaw knew about the magic, knew about the danger. So how cool would it be if he ventured in and came out alive and well?

Frankly, he might as well have been asking for it. He thought he'd be brave, and refused to believe that the magic would hurt him. Skinwalkers existed, but he had never seen them. So it couldn't be that bad, right?
How Will Their Personality Change? His cockiness will distort until it's not just jumping headfirst into bad odds; he will go out of his way to victimize others, purposefully putting them in danger, and become so reckless that he'll always fight instead of fleeing. Backing down is no longer an option.
Few things will be as entertaining as harming others. He'll have fun with it, playing with his food and all. He will prefer challenges, like bigger horses or buffalo or those like 'suti who have ability to fight back. A thrilling hunt indeed.
That said, he can still socialize, to a degree; his words were always his forte, and he can still use them. He can speak from the shadows in horse form, or look like a normal coyote. While he will never truly blend in, he can find ways to mess with others before he goes in for the kill.
How Will It Effect Their Current Plots & Story? It will alter his story from generally conning and flirting with those he meets to wanting to destroy others in a variety of ways; since he is a rather new slate still, he is not set up with anyone for relationships, but this future plot could very well anchor a tragic love story, or throw a monkey wrench into any efforts of him becoming a good person. Or, on the flip side, it will lend itself to him wholeheartedly succumbing to his dark side and leaving him hollow, using the ability to express emotions just to harm but never feeling any glee outside of doing terrible, terrible things.
OOCly -- Why Do You Want Them Cursed? I think this would help flesh out his character, and give him a real major plot. It would certainly give his character some direction. None of my horses have a great fall from grace, and this would be an interesting case of becoming the worst from the flaws he already has. It would also make any potential romance/family plots super tragic, but fun to pull off (I would never have him breed as a skinwalker though. I would not make anyone's horses go through that)
He would also be my first walker, and I'd be super psyched to have one and play around with that kind of innate, toxic evil.
Any Other Relevant Information You'd Like Us To Know? Nope <3 Thank you for letting us have a shot at cursed walkers!

Get Down With the Sickness

Character's Cert:
User Image
Characters Name: Vicaire de Morte "Vicaire Mormont"

Character's Current Personality:
"A prince never lacks good reasons to break his promise.”

Vicaire does not posses any virtues, and if he does show signs of them, it will only be as a façade. He prefers to use deceit, treachery, and force to achieve his objectives. Like his mother and elder brother, Vicaire is a master manipulator and uses that skill to fool the weak and the strong alike. He is calculating, conniving, deceptive, and amoral; he will use others as stepping-stones and stain the earth red with their blood in order to obtain his mother’s and his ultimate goal.

To fill his thirst killing he became a Mercenary, a hired guard or warrior to any who have the right price. This allows him to travel and recruit for his mother, and get his anger out by killing those he deems as weak. He is emotionally detached and cynical, which allows him to be patient and careful, waiting for the best opportunity to strike. In order to influence others and mask his true intention, Vicaire uses charm (prince charming vibe, since he is of royal blood he uses it to his advantage in his manipulations), friendliness, self-disclosure (even if most of what he shares is false), and guilt. Only when necessary does he use pressure and threats to achieve what he can usually accomplish with smooth tactics.

The comparison between him and his eldest brother Vortigern is the one thing that angers Vicaire the most, for he knows he will never be equal to him because Vorty is their mother’s favorite. This is the one thing that will cause his façade to crumble, his anger and irritation at being subpar compared to his half-brother will cause him to snap and go into a rage.

His favorite method of killing is using his namesake coated on a sharp blade.

Character's Current History:
To prove his loyalty to his mother, she asked him to kill his sister who was weak minded like his father. He did as she asked and made it look like an accident, so when his father came across the body, Vicaire was not suspected in the murder. It was his first killing and the thrill of it would forever change him.

Currently Vicaire is traveling around the land as a hired mercenary at the same time as he searches for those who are gullible, blood thirsty, or dark knights for his mother’s army. The gullible ones will believe any yarn told to them and will swallow that Eve is the rightful heir instead of her sister who is the usurper; blood thirsty for those will be the ones who fight for the sight of blood; Dark knights for they have been trained in the ways of the warrior and will be rewarded nicely should Eve succeed in her mission.

How Does Your Character Get Cursed?
He had heard rumors about a powder that grants the soquili who comes in contact with it a berserker like strength and a unquenchable desire to spill blood; since he already had the desire to spill innocent and not so innocent blood, Vicaire becomes tempted with the prospect of strength. This would make him his mother’s favorite and she would cast aside the pathetic Vortigern. He seeks the powder to fulfill his own thirst for power and his mother’s ambition for power. Vicaire traveled fair and wide, seeking the powder that would give him the strength never to find it. Right when he was to give up his quest, he stumbled into a graveyard where a white substance covered the ground. It was a trap to curse the unsuspecting, but to him it was a dark blessing.

How Will Their Personality Change?
It will become darker, less willing to accept the weakness of those who follow the light. With his new cloak of darkness he will slowly begin to delve deeper into Madness. His desire to spill blood will increase and he will no longer have that desire to appease his mother, instead of his Great Goddess of Vengeance she will now become the keystone to his past, one that must be destroyed.

How Will It Effect Their Current Plots & Story?
• I was going to hold off on him being cursed ICly, since I need to flesh out more of his persona and his mommy/brother issues.

• He will still be a merc after he becomes cursed, but he will no longer be able to travel with caravans until he can get his bloodlust under control and then when that phase was over (with lots of killing to curve the urge) he would continue to manipulate people while at the same time thinking of new creative ways to kill them.

• The plots that would change the most would be between him and his mother; he would see himself now as her superior and she should bow to him, but when she does not cower and continues to treat him like her pawn, something in him will snap.

OOCly -- Why Do You Want Them Cursed?
It would make for an interesting plot to have him become cursed to help his mother’s ambition, but once he becomes a walker he no longer desires to be controlled by her. Since she will not see him as her equal, he will try (and maybe succeed, who knows) to kill his mother and show her once and for all that he is no longer her pawn.

Any Other Relevant Information You'd Like Us To Know?
Nothing I can think of at the moment except thank you for this opportunity to spread cheer EVIL this holiday season.

Get Down With the Sickness

Character's Cert: User Image
Characters Name: Helberd
Character's Current Personality: Helberd was brought up to be a very Noble and Caring Ceyreni, Though, somewhere during his development, he adapted the mindset that all females are weak creatures in need of protection and therefore will believe that females can't do anything for themselves besides lolly-gag and graze on grasses while gossiping to others. This path of thinking may put him back a few steps on the evolutionary scale, but just because he has chosen this path of thinking does not mean that he has no intelligence. His mother was a smart, quick-witted doe and taught him all she could before her death. On his journey to find a herd to call his own, Helberd travel far and wide, scanning the land for any hints of knowledge - and he was eager to learn. In his time before reaching the Soquili land, he grew as a person. Though he still feels the way he does about females, he can mostly push it back - only showing his true colors if a female does something to upset him....and that can be something hard to do for he is a generally a laid back person. All around Helberd acts as a protector, knows a things or two about life and giving advice, and simple easy to love.
Character's Current History: Long before Helberd's conception, there lived a herd. In this herd there lived a guard. This guard protected the herd from many dangers, watching over the pack with his comrades. His size was great and his antlers greater, and all together, the guard was absolutely handsome.

Also in that herd, lived a beautiful doe whose eyes shone a pale milky white and whose hair was long, silky streams of gold. This lovely doe belonged to the King's harem, forever bidden to be by his side and only his side. The guard admired the doe from afar, longing for the beauty but knowing that he could never even speak to her.
On a night where the moon could not be found, the guard had been assigned to watch the harem through the night, only because he was the King's most trusted protector. But try as he might to resist, temptation set in the guard's heart and at last he nudged the sleeping doe awake.
The doe raised her head slowly and cautiously, for her blind milky eyes could not see anything in front of her. The guard assured her that there was no trouble around, and began to strike up a conversation. From that moment on, every night that the guard was assigned to protect the harem, he would talk with the doe. Through these conversations the doe fell for the guards charm, wit, and strong sense of nobility.

One night after many that the guard had spoken with the doe, He made a request that the doe would meet him in the forest the next night after the king and the rest of the harem were asleep. The doe agreed and once the sun set and sounds of rhythmic breathing could be heard, she set off. Little did the doe know that there was a pair of jealous, venom green eyes watching her every step.

A couple weeks later, the guard was called to meet with the King. When the guard arrived, the beautiful doe was waiting by the King's side, and the King wore a furious expression. He confronted the guard saying that he had received information that the doe and him had ignited a fling. The guard simply hung his head and nodded. The King was so furious that right there and then he ordered the guard to death. When the lovely doe heard this she cried in a horrible screech and pled for them to not commit the terrible act for she was to bear his child.

When the King caught wind of her secret he then banished her from the herd. After the death of the handsome guard, the lovely doe traveled to the forest and then lived by a river where she gave birth to a son, Helberd.

From then after, the Lovely Doe's broken heart brought on terrible illness and even more terrible sadness. Helberd struggled to take care of his mother while he was growing up. Even through illness, he knew that his mother was a strong and lovely women and she always told him stories of his great and noble father. After his mother's death, Helberd vowed to one day become a protector of the innocent, but his mind had the set that does were weak creatures - seeing as the only other deer he'd met was his mother.

Since then he's had 4 daughters - where he's learned even more about the feminine side of life, with only 1 son.

How Does Your Character Get Cursed? After yet another fight with his bull-headed daughter, Aarushi, Helberd goes off into the night to wallow. However, his lonesome wallowing causes him to fall right into the clutches of dark magic, turning him into something he...never meant to be.
How Will Their Personality Change? Helberd once valued 'intelligence', 'strong will', and 'strength' - but once his change occurred, he was infected with a disdain for 'pompous flaunting', 'overconfidence', and 'stubborn stupidity'. Once these traits used to be his epitome for heroic valiance, but now they are only fatal symptoms that call out for torture.

His natural inclination towards the protection of females mutates into a bloodthirsty need to eliminate the feminine population - with the enjoyment of seeing any mare in pain, and the satisfaction of their demise because, "He always knew mares were the weaker sex".

However, "At the absolute best, cursed skinwalkers become tormented by the evil that has taken residence in their minds, fighting a losing battle, and snapping and causing horrible destruction to those around them. "
In the midst of mindless bloodthirst, that consumes his being to the point of flushing out his old personality completely - there are fits in which his old personality struggles against the curse. Yet, these fits cause him to become more dangerous, as his inner psyche blocks out all external sensory information - leaving only his instinctual, blind rage, and thirst to guide him.
How Will It Effect Their Current Plots & Story? So far, Helberd has been morbidly lonely - a natural extrovert whom is secluded for all of his life. Even after having children, they'd grown up to either be distant or rebellious, far the opposite from the devoted, loving children he'd always dreamed he'd have broods of.

Therefore, Helberd will only have strangers to torment - strangers like his children. The closest, most rage-fueling target will be his closest daughter - Aarushi. All of her childhood she had been so strong-willed, stubborn, and rebellious. Always wanting to get into fights and "prove her worth", when she knew good and well that a mare's place was at home.

Now it's Helberd's turn to show her why.

OOCly -- Why Do You Want Them Cursed? My plans were to: Give Helberd a herd, Max him out and make him an elder, Turn his life tragic by turning him into a skinwalker, Having him attack his daughter, Have his Daughter once and for all prove that mares were equal to Stallions by killing "The Skinwalker" (her Father), Kill Helberd, and maybe reincarnate him as an Angeini.

I may skip a step (aka, taking out the herd and elder part), but who knows. Thought I'd go for the skinwalker part now so it's ready for later C:
Any Other Relevant Information You'd Like Us To Know? I'm well aware that skinwalkers show no positive emotions (love, trust, happiness, etc)

Get Down With the Sickness

User Image

Character's Cert:
Characters Name: Burn
Character's Current Personality:
Burn is, at his core, deeply dissatisfied by his lot in life and seeks to blame others for it. He's self centered, arrogant, and down right petty when it comes down to it. He exudes a false confidence that can be nauseating to those who know what real confidence looks like. His few redeeming qualities appear in explosive spurts, but they happen often enough to keep him in the family and not cast out.

"Burn" as it turns out is an apt name for the dark stallion, and he appears to draw on it when the going gets tough. His temper is fiery, his retribution fierce, but it is the grudge he holds after that is truly a thing to be wary of.

In a lot of ways, he is a throwback to the colt his grandsire was - big, burly, and hellbent on his vendetta. However, while Blais had a clear target for his rage, Burn fabricated his own over time. The 'world' was to blame for his feelings of inferiority.

Character's Current History:
Burn was raised right, there is no doubting that. Conceived in love and born to a devoted pair of young, regular soquili in a mixed breed herd; he should have come out well adjusted and ready to take on the world.

Well, he was certainly willing to take on the world - at least at first. Burn never shirked his teachings, and he excelled in the martial aspects of his education under his grandsire Blais. As a youngster, he was pegged for having far more brawn than brains, but he was hardly the first knucklehead to make his or her way through the Elderwillow young soquili training program, and nor would he be the last. He was treated firmly but fairly, and wasn't allowed to get away with much. Upon reaching adulthood, he retained the arrogance of his youth, and was given the opportunity to prove that he wasn't all talk.

Taking up a position as a border guard, he served diligently - bringing home many victories for his herd. Yet, somehow, it wasn't enough. The accolades rang hollow in his ears ... the recognition he thought he'd craved scarcely scratched the surface of his ambition.

No, he wanted something more, and it was only when his leader, Seresai, brought home a kalona crossbreed foal with the intent to raise the colt herself that he began to realize what he really sought. Adrenaline felt outrageously good, and he began to seek out all sorts of reckless adventures in search of another draught. The reprimands that followed felt even better than the accolades, especially once he convinced himself that he hated authority, and he sought them out as well.

Eventually relieved of duty due to his antics, he now had a 'valid' reason to hate the authority of the herd. His resentment kindled anew when the young kalona took over his section of the border - but not before he grew jealous of the colt for something else altogether.

The Blood Rage.

He'd seen it once, from afar. The colt was still young, but he'd torn into the seasoned veterans of the herd like they were lambs. Even the mighty Blais failed to stop the colt. He'd almost killed his own adoptive mother, which was itself quite the feat given Seresai's battle experience.

Yes, Burn craved such an uninhibited existence ... but at present, his fear of the true unknown beyond the safe borders of his home keep him from seeking it out.

How Does Your Character Get Cursed?
Willingly, and with full knowledge that he will become something truly evil.

Burn is not easily tricked or persuaded, but once he realizes that someone like him - a regular soquili with nothing else going for him but sheer size - could become a skinwalker as voracious and evil as the skinwalkers that had tormented his herd... he'll take the corpse powder gladly. He would consider it a final cut in the thread that binds him to his family - and he would welcome the abandonment.

How Will Their Personality Change?
What was good and redeeming about him would become his weakest vices - his steadfast dependability morphing into a toxic tendency to obsess, his compassion becoming a desire to possess.

As for the faults that led to his fall, well ... he would revel in them. Everything that had ever been criticized would be glorified. His arrogance would become a sword; his cunning intelligence a shield. Now able to hunt and prey without ill affect, he would revel in all acts of violence, whether committed by him or by another.

He would, at long last, finally embody the vice of wrath itself - and he would relish every minute of it.

How Will It Effect Their Current Plots & Story?
Currently, Burn doesn't have any plots - but when I saw this contest and gave it some thought, I realized that this could be a surprisingly organic outcome to the methods my herd has of educating their youngsters. Whether they admit it or not, he slipped through the cracks. Whatever happens to him, the impact he will leave on his family will be lasting and very likely traumatic.

OOCly -- Why Do You Want Them Cursed?
Burn has always been the loose cannon in the family, and I think this is a fitting branch for the story to take. His family will be unable to leave him alone the way he is, and I would eventually like to band together many soquili from multiple players to successfully apprehend and dispatch a cursed Burn.

Any Other Relevant Information You'd Like Us To Know?
He's going to really 'love' being able to hunt. I suspect he'll take particular joy in attacking apex predators like kalona and aggressive (or just impressive looking) mutants.

(I am also well acquainted with the rules and limitations of skinwalkers ... it actually excites me to think about writing a character that sought such a fate willingly. It certainly won't be what he expected, but by the time the powder kicks in ... it certainly won't matter anymore anyway~! )

Get Down With the Sickness

Character's Cert: User Image
Characters Name: Vol'Tuuli
Character's Current Personality:To say Tuuli is a tomboy is an understatement. Once only speaking in growls and snarls, she relied on her sister to communicate with others, the kalona blood showing in her temper and mannerisms. She spent most of her foal hood traveling back to her 'home lands' with the idea that her great grandmother would not appreciate seeing her and her sibling. Tuuli decided she would be the best troll out there and stuck to that. However, she was plagued nightly by visions that upon her return to the Vitterfolk herd she would be met with disdain and scorn for not being good enough. This proved to be false as she was accepted by Malis the day the troll matriarch first saw her great grandchildren but still the 'visions' came night after night. Tuuli views the situation with a slight distrust, striving to become ever more stronger and aggressive; her own view of trolls. This made her a bit of a problem child as she turned on other herd members on numerous occasions. 'For the good of the tribe' Malis looked for some where for her to learn self control and to curb her tamper a little. Malis fostered Tuuli out to another herd, as is the tradition with the Vitterfolk, so that she could learn how to fight and maybe calm down a little.

Character's Current History: It was all for naught and no matter what Malis did or said, Tuuli just could not believe her. The kalona blood running through her veins gave her a lust for destruction and slowly, schematically she started breaking apart the bonds that held the Vitterfolk together. After getting Rynn caught into a web of lies with Warlock she struck out an alliance with Solemn, a cursed walker. In exchange for gaining strength so that she may defeat Malis herself, she would give him access to the inner workings of the Vitterfolk protections, for prime hunting grounds. When Solemn was found out and pushed beyond the boundaries, Tuuli attempted to create more strife by helping I'mani, another walker, destroy the newly born children of her uncle, Sen'jin. This proved to be a failure as Rynn happened to be close enough to move the baskets before they were found by I'mani. Infuriated, Tuuli struck out at Rynn where she knew it would hurt the most. She turned her sights onto Irlina, hoping to prod her into leaving the herd to help 'save her family' from Warlock. She was successful but did not count on Saryen returning and finally blowing her cover. She has now been cast out of the Vitterfolk herd and is plotting ways to return and continue pulling down Malis' hold on the area.

How Does Your Character Get Cursed? After being 'snubbed' by Solemn when he cursed I'mani instead of herself and being cast out of the Vitterfolk herd, Tuuli took what she had learned from the walkers and decides to find some other to stalk and hopefully gain access to the precious powder. She already knows which creature she wishes to kill; one of the Vitterfolk familiars who aided Saryen in finding his way back. Tuuli believes that the only way to have a chance at destroying Malis and her brood is by 'raising an army of Skinwalkers' something that she will shortly find is impossible.

How Will Their Personality Change? In the broad spectrum of things, Tuuli's personality will not change too much. She is already spiteful, aggressive, and destructive. However, she will not have realized just how -intense- those emotions get when no longer tempered by what little decency she has left. For a long while she will become a mindless, hungry beast and I have a few plans of her having to learn very quickly that, even as a walker, she is still not top of the food chain, even if she did take a bit of a leap up it.

How Will It Effect Their Current Plots & Story? This is the main step that she needs to complete her plots. Before not she had to rely on her manipulation and schemes but, now that she no longer has anonymity to her advantage she is quite like a fish out of water. There is no redemption arc for her, I have plans for her to go too far at some point and, if not die, she will come very close to it. She has been consumed by her vengeance and this has been the path that she has chosen in her quest to gain strength. Her antithesis, Saryen, who is the son of Solemn, has the same quest but has chosen the more peaceful route, learning from Malis and the rest of the Vitterfolk. It has been fun plotting their opposing story-lines and exploring both aspects of character growth.

OOCly -- Why Do You Want Them Cursed? I have always had the plan to eventually have her become cursed. She is the accumulation of what 'Malis did wrong' and is a reminder to not shut anyone out, especially just because of the circumstances around their birth.

Any Other Relevant Information You'd Like Us To Know? Tuuli will kill one of the Vitterfolk familiars, it is up to you which one you'd like to chose for her pelt. It can be an existing familiar or one of the many who haven't been created yet. (In order of coats I like: [x] [x] [x] [x] [x])

Get Down With the Sickness

Character's Cert: User Image
Characters Name: Kerberos
Character's Current Personality: Restless, roaming around the lands. He feels he cannot settle and that he is either feared or unwanted.
Character's Current History: Kerberos was born into a herd of pure-blood cerynei. They believed in keeping the line pure, and consider themselves elite. So when a black basket appeared, with markings of death upon it many whispers and gossip spread quickly. Did the mother seek love outside the cerynei lines? was it a curse or an omen from the Gods?
When he emerged from his basket it seemed the only ones who gave him attention was his own parents. They guarded him, insisting that despite his outward apperance he was a pure cerynei and no different then the rest of them.
They were wrong, of course. The foal was quite different and he lusted for more then the fresh grass of the meadow where they lived. He would eat it, more to please his parents but late in the evening he would sneak away. Kerberos found himself craving flesh and he made do on catching small animals such as rabbits or frogs.
He had managed to keep his secret for a while but it could not be kept forever. During one of his outings his mother had come to check on him, thinking her child was sleeping but in fact he was missing. Naturally she became alarmed and a search for Kerberos began.
Kerberos was indulging in the flesh of a rabbit, his mouth smeared with its dark red blood, when his father found him. The look on his fathers face, a look of total disgust and disappointment, would forever be etched in his mind.
Then the stallion, who had spent so much effort loving and protecting Kerberos, charged him. Called him a monster, a mixed blood. He was no longer welcome in his home, no longer loved by anyone.
Kerberos ran, learned to fend for himself as he grew. He was unable to find friends, as most seemed to think he was bad or evil just because of his coat. This impression only increased when they learned of his flesh eating desire. Kerberos would never eat the flesh of another soquili, he stuck to small animals but none seemed to believe him.

Eventually he would find a herd that would attempt to save him, accept him. The herd of Little Red and Bloodmoon. Bloodmoon appeared to be a wolf as did their three children and they acted as such. They helped him hunt, tried to help him and treat him as a member. Kerberos would stay closed though, his experiences having built up walls. If he had opened his mind more, he could see that he finally belonged. That he could be accepted but by this point Kerberos could not tear down those walls. He still felt indifferent, unaccepted. Sure these ponies also ate meat but they looked the part. They looked like carnivores, wolves.
Maybe if he looked like them, he could open his heart and mind again. He had heard of a graveyard where a mysterious powder could transform one into a beast. The details were sketchy, he did not have much more information then that but he set off to find out if the rumors were true.
How Does Your Character Get Cursed? The young adult, Kerberos, would leave the herd of Little Red and Bloodmoon to seek out this graveyard and its mysterious powder. He was so sure that after...if he even found it...he could return to The Enchanted Forest to be welcomed and be one of them - as a cerynei reborn as a wolf. From the stories he knew it would change him outwardly, but he had not idea how it would effect his mind - grab hold and change him forever.

How Will Their Personality Change? Kerberos did not know that the powder would change him so deeply. It would change him into a beast, one who was a cold-blooded murderer. He would still be restless but now it would not bother him. His bloodlust for rabbits and small creatures would be replaced for bigger prey and no longer for food. He would kill for sport, just to see the red blood run like a river from his prey. Sometimes he would play games with them, torment them but the end would still be the same : death. Others judged and feared him only on looks before, but now they would have a true reason to fear him.
How Will It Effect Their Current Plots & Story? He doesn't have much in the way of plots right now - one idea would be Kerberos returning to his orginal cerynei herd and killing/tormenting them. Showing them true fear.
OOCly -- Why Do You Want Them Cursed? 90% of my teepee is good, nice kind ponies. Need alittle something to shake this up a bit haha and maybe RP/Plot something new.

Characters Name: Eudora
Character's Current Personality: Eudora is a loving Soquili who has devoted her life to gaining and sharing knowledge. Her greatest pleasure in life is seeing the younger generations of the herd grow up under her tutelage and become well mannered and devoted members of the herds customs.
Character's Current History: Like all others in her herd, the Dreamwalkers, Eudora grew up among the teachings of the Oneiroi, the Gods that the herd worships. From that young age she knew that what dwell outside their mist filled land was but a dream until it was prayed into existence - that even she at one time was a simple dream creature until her parents prayed for her to be made real. She relished the lessons about the Oneiroi, and payed close attention to all of the rituals that the herd preformed to keep their Gods happy.
As she grew, Eudora began to look for her place in the herd. She obsessed over the teachings so much that she knew her place was to become a Shepard, the teachers of the herd who educate the young and new members in the ways of the herd and the Oneiroi. It was not an easy path to take, as only those who were most dedicated to the gaining and sharing of knowledge could achieve such a rank. And in the end, it was up to the Oneiroi whether she got the rank or not, for they had the final say in everything within the herd.
Eudora dove fully into learning everything she could, and when she wasn't learning or tending to her other herd duties, she prayed to the Oneiroi to allow her to ascend to her desired rank.
After a few years of training the Oneiroi showed their approval of her dedication, and through a ceremony was granted the rank of Shepard. Though she had been given the rank she so greatly desired, Eudora did not back down from devoting as much of her time as she could to learning more and passing that knowledge on to others. She was in her element, the rank she had clearly been destined to be and she was loving it. Getting to help the newest generation and herd members become accustomed to the daily rigors of life within the herd and also knowing their place among the Oneiroi was the best thing she could do. She loved watching those foals grow up, embracing the herds beliefs and finding their own ranks to fulfill.
Though there are plenty of challenged to her rank, namely when dealing with the newer but older herd members who do not as easily accept the ways of the Oneiroi, Eudora approaches every day with joy and confidence, that she is doing what she was meant to do.
How Does Your Character Get Cursed? Nightmares are a real threat to the herd, but they can also be tests sent to the herd or an individual by the Oneiroi to see how strongly their devotion lies to the Gods. The nightmares Eudora endured first were those while sleeping. It caused her to struggle each morning to go to work with a positive attitude. Convinced that it was a sign she was about to be tested by the Oneroi, Eudora said nothing to the herd. They had all been tested before, sometimes more than once, so it was clear it was her turn.
Then the nightmares started to appear in the day, only this time it was Nightmare Creatures, who are the evil beings who sometimes slip through into the herds lands. These had to be her true test, as they concentrated their efforts on following her throughout the day. At first she ignored them, as best she could, for they would let her know soon enough what her test was to be. But they did nothing but linger for weeks on end. Her sleep continued to be interrupted by true nightmares, and her daytime activities were followed by the Nightmare Creatures.
Soon they began to taunt her, subtly at first and then more fiercely. She knew she was being tested now, and did her best to ignore the taunts - it was clear that the Oneiroi were ensuring she was still completely devoted to their ways. And yet, every day that passed her faith in their ways slipped just a bit. She began to hate the idea of teaching others. This excited the Nightmare Creatures. Eudora tried to fight it, for so long she had been happy in life, but now she was slipping. Each day the Nightmare Creatures lured her further away from what she had wanted her whole life, and during the night, when she tried in vain to sleep, the nightmare images spoke to her - telling her that her destiny lied elsewhere.
Finding herself at the border of the herd lands, Eudora fought with herself. Was she truly destined for something else? Something of malicious intent? Or was this a test of faith that she was failing? She fought these conflicting thoughts until the Nightmare Creatures thoughts won her over. She knew they were evil, that they only intended to harm the herd and yet their call was like a sirens song and she could ignore it no longer. Was this the destiny she had been intended for all along? That being a Shepard was merely a distraction from what she should be. Following the Nightmare Creatures into the Dream World, which just so happened to be the real world for all Soquili outside the herd, Eudora embraced this feeling of hate and disgust. She was meant to be something else, and that existence belonged in the Dream World. With each step, the Nightmare Creatures called to her, begging her to fully succumb to all these feelings that were buried so deeply within her. They told her that the herd had tricked her, forced her into being a Shepard because they were afraid of her true potential. She would show them, she would embrace her real calling and then return to wreck havoc upon them.
Though she did not know exactly where the Nightmare Creatures were leading her, Eudora was not afraid, instead she relished the idea of casting off her loving and gentle ways. When she finally reaches the graveyard Eudora doesn't even hesitate. Though she doesn't fully understand what is to become of her now that she has arrived, she knows this is the first step to becoming her true self and that she embraces that destiny completely, relishing the power that is to be bestowed upon her.
How Will Their Personality Change? Eudora will become a true Nightmare Creature in her mind - a thing of evil meant to challenge, test and bring darkness to the herd. She will see it as her duty to torment and kill any who cross her path. While she will not completely abandon her quest for knowledge, it will be severely lessened - after all, learning what makes your prey tick will make torturing them all the more fun. She will test out her new powers in the Dream World, the real Soquili lands, to ensure she had not only mastered them, but learns new ways of tormenting her victims, before ascending the mountain once more to return to the herd as a Nightmare Creature. She will take great joy in slowly ripping apart their perfect lives. Once she is done with that...well, the world will be her bloody playground.
How Will It Effect Their Current Plots & Story? Eudora doesn't have many plots at the moment, other than working on training the youngest members of the herds in the ways of the Oneiroi. Honestly, her plots are practically non-existent. Having her cursed will open up a lot of plots, both outside of the herd and within it.
OOCly -- Why Do You Want Them Cursed? Eudora has been a bit hard to play with. So while I was considering various options for her, the idea popped into my head about eventually getting her cursed. What made the idea grow into something more appealing, was that she could become a sheep in wolfs clothing, a fun play on a wolf in sheep's clothing. Plus I absolutely love playing evil characters, and she has spoken to me more muse wish after considering turning her evil, than before when she was good.

Get Down With the Sickness

Character's Cert: User Image
Characters Name: Zulimar
Character's Current Personality: Zulimar is, to put it most bluntly, a sadist and a sociopath. She doesn't hunt to kill, she hunts to hurt, slowly savoring the pain of her prey like a human child and candy. She will leave some of her prey alive and walk away, not even caring since she's not hungry- just to hear it scream. She "wastes" as it were.

Character's Current History: Zulimar was raised in a herd beyond the mountains; she got lost and found herself here, and now can't find her way back. When she was a foal, her mother had her daughters hunt their brother as their first kill. They didn't know any better. When they got older, the daughters had to fight each other for the right to be "heir" to the herd. Zulimar won. She also took down a younger sister who moved against her.

She was going to meet her mother, Shalima, and Shalima's new mate when she lost her way... now she can't find her way back, though she would DIE before admitting it. The first soquili she met here was Valarauco, a kalona stallion with some rather special views that piqued her interests. Enough for her to, at least, keep tabs on him, and chat with him occasionally. She is upset with the apparrent 'weakness' of the kalona in these lands, and that attitude led her to couple with Valarauco in an attempt to strengthen the kalona blood here. They had three foals, and Zulimar is quite pleased of the fact she bore two girls- mares to carry on the purity of her blood. And Valarauco's, of course.

How Does Your Character Get Cursed? Zulimar would not go willingly into the curse. Why should she? What can being a skinwalker offer her? It would be a true curse, "to make the outside match the inside." Zulimar hunts the wrong prey, and finds herself the hunted in return.
How Will Their Personality Change? To be honest, her personality wouldn't change all that much, apart from it being even more likely that she'll kill her prey.
How Will It Effect Their Current Plots & Story? Right now, Zuli has little in terms of plots and story, as I have been focusing on other characters for a while. Having her as a skinwalker would possibly help me get some, since there are several people looking for a skinwalker, and not just a very angry kalona. smile
OOCly -- Why Do You Want Them Cursed? Mostly because since skinwalkers were announced sometime way back when around when she was customed, I've looked at Zuli and gone "Huh." Her personality was already such a match for it, to the point I've even thought of trying to re-custom her.

Get Down With the Sickness

Character's Cert: User Image
Characters Name: Eliora
Character's Current Personality:
Right now she is sweet and considerate, thoughtful and kind. She is intelligent, but doesn’t often show it, unless she’s angry. Even in her anger she almost never raises her voice, she tries to argue using logic and words.
Character's Current History: (please note this includes plotting that has yet to be RPed out)
El has been on her own as long as she could recall, she has some minor abandonment issues that she keeps to herself. In dreams she almost remembers being passed from herd to herd until she wound up alone, abandoned in a field. But she doesn’t mind, truly. You can’t miss what you don’t remember, so she tells herself. She keeps herself busy with simple enjoyment of the world around her, and is aware that everything beautiful is ephemeral. You can’t get hurt if you know that nothing lasts.

So she enjoys warm days, and when the weather turns chilly, she enjoys the scent of snow in the air or the sound of hail. She finds something to enjoy in every season, and gets attached to nothing. She refuses to take a familiar, for they will leave or die eventually, and she doesn’t make close friends for the same reason. But she loves talking to familiars and to other soquili, and she is friendly and cheerful with them.

One summer, she found a field of flowers, with the heads removed. Dandelion heads, specifically. Now, some people might see this, and be sad for the flowers, but Eli nibbled a stem and found that she liked the stems far more than she liked the flowers or leaves. So she went about, eating the stems.

And every morning, she’d find that at some point before she awoke, someone had gone around eating the heads off of the dandelions, so she went after the stems again. She never tried to find the one who ate the heads off of the flowers. If she found him or her, she might get attached, and she didn’t want that. Friendship, love… these were sad words, because they always ended, and she preferred to enjoy the moment, then spoil her future.

And this all worked out quite well for her, thank you very much, until she met one stallion who simply could not be content to just enjoy a morning’s chat in the warm sun. No, Belyy (belonging to Divena) decided that it wasn’t right that she just ate the stems, that she left the whole flowers for whomsoever it was that was eating them. They had (Well, will have) an argument that would leave her upset for the first time in as long as she could remember.

She still disliked it, being upset. But that’s when she’ll meet Lory. Lorimar (Belonging to Divena and Divenasmom, brother to my Kyad) has a dark and painful history plotted involving an ex-mate who was cursed to be a skinwalker and is now stalker-obsessed with him. Eli will remind him of her, precurse, and they will chat and get along well enough.

She didn’t know what it meant that he liked her, that he let himself care for her, because to her, it wouldn’t last, so she was just enjoying the moment, enjoying their time together. She will get to know Lian and Kyad, and will spend much of her time alone reminding herself that these soqs are temporary people in her life, as all others always are.

How Does Your Character Get Cursed? Remember how I said Lory’s ex-mate is obsessed with him? Well, she wasn’t too thrilled about him finding someone new to care about. She will be having a hard enough time trying to torture and kill Kyad in front of Lory, to deal with this as well… until it will occur to her…

El is the sort to not believe that ALL Skinwalkers could be evil. How could a whole race be evil? Certainly, and especially the cursed ones, if someone would treat them with kindness instead of fear, they would respond the same. It would just take warmth and understanding and patience… and someone who wasn’t clinging all that desperately to life. So when she meets Lory’s ex, not knowing that’s who she is… She will try to be kind and open and trusting. And she will accept the gift given her, without realizing what it is, until it’s too late.

How Will Their Personality Change?

After her talk with Belyy, her thoughts on eating the stems, and waiting for someone else to take the heads first will… warp. Twist. Why shouldn’t she eat the stems first? She could just… leave the heads over! BRILLIANT!

….Of course…. She no longer ate dainty little dandelions, so she would eat small woodland animas, but leave the heads over… in case someone else wants them. So sometimes she’ll be wandering, leaving a trail of dead animal heads behind her.

As to the rest of her… If she couldn't have someone to love, someone who stayed, then why should anyone else? Why should anyone have families or friends? If she couldn’t have these things, then everyone else should be just as miserable.

So she’ll target people who believe in forevers, who don’t just find beauty in the single moment, but make plans for eternity. Humans, Soqs, familiars, love birds, doesn’t matter. If they have what she was always denied, then she would deny them. She would seek out others as miserable as she was and turn that misery to power, focus them and send them against the same foes she is against.

But… she still is able to find the beauty in small moments, small islands of happiness. But now instead of it being the beauty of a sunset, it’s the simple joy of the artful way blood splashed on a rock, or be beautiful wail of screams.

Her soft gentle laugh will become a high menacing giggle, her sweet kind smile a hungry grin with teeth

Especially when she’s hungry.

And through it all, she still won’t raise her voice.

How Will It Effect Their Current Plots & Story? The plot with Belyy will be handled before she is cursed, and if she will be cursed, then the plot with Lory will be crucial for his development, and will lead to her being cursed. If she will not be, her life will still brush his, but will be as ephemeral as she expects.

OOCly -- Why Do You Want Them Cursed?
Because once Div and I started plotting what ifs, I fell in love with the idea. I think it’ll be a fun plot, and give us something awesome to do with our herds. Because I have never had a ‘Walker, and I want to learn; and I learn best by doing. Because I think the owl and bat lines are amazing. I want to experiment with more personality types, as well. She’s sugary sweet, and I like that, but twisted sweet seems like it would be a lot of fun. And that mental image of a trail of small animal heads is sticking with me. Very cartoony, with Xs over the eyes. It wont leave my head. In my herd, I have Mary who is deluded into thinking she’s a Goddess, I have Ashvay who is liver obcessed and a mindless eating machine, and I have Mary’s daughter Tez who thinks she is evil, but is in a plot that will show her that she doesn’t have to be. None of them started as someone good. I want to play with corrupted innocence. I like plots that have some meat to them, and this seems like it would have a lot of potential.

Any Other Relevant Information You'd Like Us To Know? I am letting Divena read this and approve it before I submit, because of how much her herd is involved. She is trying for a cursed walker (either in this event or as a custom) to be Lory’s ex-mate.
If You Win, What Pelt Would You Choose? Please pick one! Owl is my first choice, but bat would be awesome too. I have a love for wings in this shop, I love owls and bats in general, and since she is so much of a morning person, I’d love her cursed self to be more nocturnal.

Thank you for considering me!

Get Down With the Sickness

Character's Cert: User Image
Characters Name:Crestia Condyle
Character's Current Personality: Enthusiastic: Crestia is always rather happy, rather full of life and laughs. She loves exploring the area around her 'home' very much. She talks little but its still obvious that shes sweet and enthusiastic if not excited about things. Finding new things, decorating her cave, finding dead bodies or skeletons of dead things. You name it she loves it!
Character's Current History: Crestia was abandoned in an old grave yard for dead or dieing soquili, a hollow in the side of a mountain that seemed to go for ever inside and was taller then one could even begin to guess. She came to and found her self alone with many bones and dead or dieing things around her. One old Soquili was around, slowly dieing of an infected wound on her leg, just long enough to help teach and show Crestia how to live and find food and what to look for. She watched the only other of her kind die and didn't know what to think of it. She wasn't sad. She was curious. She didn't think Nan was really dead for the longest time. She talked to her still often as a little one and loved it. She just called it 'sleeping too hard'. When the skin started to smell and slough off the body then she knew it was all over and she would watch from afar as the body rotted and turned to nothingness. As an adult she would often collect injured animals and take them to her home and spend time with them. She didn't know how to fix them at all but she enjoyed watching them die. She didn't feel anything for it, excitement. She liked seeing the insides and the bones and the differences between each animal who died in her 'care'. She tried to keep things organized, small animal bones to one side and Soquili and other larger things, to the other side. She had found one human skull and had it placed on a nice ledge in her cave near where her bed of hay and furs was. It rested where she could see it and loved seeing how different a human skull was from an animal one.
How Does Your Character Get Cursed? While out looking for food and injured animals when she had been offered something. She knew not what it would do or the consequences but not one to shy away from something new that might be fun and exciting she welcomed it and has not looked back. She didn't know anything could be so fun.
How Will Their Personality Change? Not too much i would imagine. She already has a fascination with dead things and what not. The biggest change will be the anger and evilness. She would be more sly about it, since she lives some place where the dead already tend to come to die, she feels she has the best spot to live for a supply of food. I see her violence when she goes for hunting to be over kill, wanting to see the insides and the damage she could do now. Fascinated with the blood and the screams that she never got to hear or notice before when she just let them die in front of her.
How Will It Effect Their Current Plots & Story? Shes very new to me so i haven't worked out more then her story about how she grew up, so at the present it would just effect her not getting a LM any more which is fine cause she has no plots. And then it will add in her anger to all new RP's she does in the future.
OOCly -- Why Do You Want Them Cursed? I think it fits well with how i had already thought up for her. I named her(Part of her name at least) After a bone in the body. So i based her around the fact that shes got bone markings and her personality as being fascinated by death and bones of all kinds. So with the change to make her a cursed walker it would play along well with her situation cause shes already out trying to find dead things to watch them die more. So now she gets to eat them not just watch so it would work out well for her i think.
Any Other Relevant Information You'd Like Us To Know? She is VERY Fascinated by bones, as you can see, and collects them all over. Small ones, big ones, skulls and tail bones and vertebrae you name it shes got it.

Get Down With the Sickness

Character's Cert:

User Image
Characters Name: Aodan
Character's Current Personality: Aodan is like fire, warm and giving but also harmful if not cared for. He prides himself in honoring his own particular code
of ethics.
Aodan is very loving, knightly and generous but those traits can also be harmful to his well being. Aodan gives without thought to his own survival and for a little attention he can be easily manipulated. He is is fact really intelligent and cunning but the desire to receive love can easily cloud his sense of judgement .
Character's Current History: Aodan birth herd is disproportionately female . Males are protected, treasured and given more rights then males in the harpy herdlands . All males are taught from a young age that they have certain herd obligations. The biggest obligation a male has to the herd is to sire offspring. Preferably with more then one female however male and female couple could argue in front of the herd leader for exclusivity and be granted permission. At a early age Aodan knew he was attracted to both genders and he never felt any hesitation in following where his heart took him. Aodan herd had no objections about same sex couples as long as all herd members provided offspring. However Aodan fell all consuming in love with a male herd member. His love was returned by the stallion but his heart had become troubled. Every time his partner acted as stud to a female a little piece of Aodan's heart broke.

He soon questioned the teachings of the herd and felt impeding dread over servicing as a stud. He was filled with a sense of hopelessness . In his mind by serving as a stud he would be betraying his love and he didn't want his partner to feel the same despair when Aodan acted as a stud . When Aodan's time came to carry out his duty as a stud he refused. Feeling magnanimous his herd leader gave him another chance but he still refused. Having no need of a male who went against herd law Aodan was chased off herd territory. For a moon cycle Aodan lived on the outskirts of herd territory hoping his love would seek him out but the stallion never did.
Since then Aodan has remained a bit of a loner. He has never tried to join another herd as he has grown tired of a obeying herd laws. Still part of him longs for the sense of community he once experienced. The desire for skinship/ for a sense of belonging consumes him. He feels alone and often sufferers bouts of depression. A few times he has played at love but he has been forsaken, manipulated and overlooked by both male and female soq. His inner thoughts often berate him for his foolishness. If only he had carried out his duty....If only he didn't allow himself to be manipulated every time a soq showed his a shred of kindness.. if only he didn't allow himself to hurt every time a soq betrayed him.

How Does Your Character Get Cursed? Willingly. Aodan was promised the powder would change his emotions and turn off his empathy. He did not fully understand the powders true significance but he sought a means to change his current existence and to escape his inner self doubts.
How Will Their Personality Change? Aodan would find his priorities dramatically changed. Instead of using his intelligence to help others he would use his mind to achieve power. The ability to love wholeheartedly who cease to be. The desire of skinship would come out in blood-lust . Instead of believing in the goodness within soqs hearts. He would only expect deceit and instead of being tricked by other soq he would become the master manipulator.
How Will It Effect Their Current Plots & Story? Aodan will no longer search for meaning in his life. For a long time he has searched for a way to fill the whole his first love caused. He felt displaced and embraced the idea that if another soq loved him he would find some kind of inner peace. Aodan has always been smart but after the change he will be more driven and his mind more focused on achieving his goals.
Sadly he will lose his fam which was the one being in the world who continuously loved him- well as much as a gator is able to love.
OOCly -- Why Do You Want Them Cursed? Aodan is a intelligent, brave, honorable, and empathetic stallion. He holds a tremendous tenacity for love. However his desire for love has caused him nothing but pain and it would be interesting to see such a warm heart be smeared by hatred. Instead of finding peace . His inner monologue of self doubts would morph into a voice of burning violence.

Any Other Relevant Information You'd Like Us To Know? I've had soq who kill small things and some that will hunt other soq. However I don't have any walkers and it would be awesome to rp a totally evil soq. The meaning of Aodan is flame, fiery and i can see the warmth in him becomes a flame that extinguishes all life around him.

Get Down With the Sickness

Character's Cert: User Image
Characters Name: Silhouette
Character's Current Personality: Silhouette always putts 110% in everything he does. He believes that your character and honor is represented in your actions, therefore he feels that if you are going to do something, it is worth all of your effort to do it to the best of your abilities. Also as a result of his hard work, most of his herd often asks him for help in their chores and tasks because they know that Silhouette will always help out and will always do a better job they could. Silhouette tries not to let it get to him, but sometimes he feels let down that no one ever comes to him just to hang out. It’s always, “Can you do this?” and “Can you help me out with that?”
Character's Current History: Silhouette was raised by his mother, Nixsi, alongside his younger sister Shiranai. His mother instilled in him a sense of honor and selflessness and the belief that if you have the ability to help someone, you should. It is the reason that he never turns people down when they ask him for help and why he would never dishonor them by completing a task at anything less than his best. Even though he’s starting to be tired of never having the ability to say no to someone, he just thinks about this kind, sweet mother and continues on.
How Does Your Character Get Cursed? Silhouette is out for his routine morning jog when he’s accosted by someone who needs assistance back to their home. Silhouette accompanies them out of duty and in exchange they offer him some water as a token of their gratitude. Never wanting to appear rude, Silhouette accepts.
How Will Their Personality Change? What was once dismay at his own ability to refuse requests turns into full out resentment to his herd. He starts to feel taken advantage of, starts to feel that they are only using him because he’ll always say yes. This thought festers and festers until it becomes into hate and anger. He’ll feel self-righteous in his anger, feel justified at his hate.
How Will It Effect Their Current Plots & Story? The only ongoing plot planned is a planned breeding with Acciona. Silhouette is fascinated by Acciona’s outspoken nature, something he wished he had acquired. Having to always say ‘yes’ makes him interested in those who are confident enough to agree to refuse upon their whims, but her calmer moments are where they connect. After being cursed, however, he grows tired of her. Her dual nature of being calm one moment and raging the next, bores him. The rage, now, is fascinating, but the calm, not so much. He’ll eventually break off from her, searching for someone with more rage to match his own.
OOCly -- Why Do You Want Them Cursed? Silhouette’s planned plots always had an element of him finding his own comfort spot, where he can balance his sense of honor and duty with what he wants to do with his life. I feeling that having him cursed takes what I had already planned for him but makes it more extreme. Where, before, he was going to slowly become comfortable refusing people’s demands, his being cursed takes what was once a disappointment at his own weakness and turns it into a resentment towards those he feels took advantage of his previously kind nature. It simply turns a lot of the feelings that he had directed inwards on himself as a sign of his own failing and turns it outwards at others.

Get Down With the Sickness

Characters Name: Strychnine Sweets
Character's Current Personality: Sweets is a "odd" fellow, -actually no "odd" isn't quite the word, he's more "Off." Most startlingly he has zero concept of right and wrong and is driven by whatever fancy strikes him. For example It might cross his mind that he would like biting you. He will simply bite you, no warning, no apologies. Just a unnerving smile.
He literally has nothing stopping him from doing just about anything. He is a slave to his desires even if it means hurting himself. His body is covered in scars from self harm.
Character's Current History: he had a fairly normal family life. Nothing really of note his personality keeps anyone from getting to close.
How Does Your Character Get Cursed?
Some people are just perfect candidates. The moment I won him I knew he was meant to be cursed.
How Will Their Personality Change?
It won't change a whole lot. Other than the fact that he will stope caring when someone gets angry at him for doing the thing he does.
How Will It Effect Their Current Plots & Story?
It will be the real start of his story actually.
OOCly -- Why Do You Want Them Cursed?
I've always wanted a walker, and I really like the idea of this already fairly off guy going over the edge.
Any Other Relevant Information You'd Like Us To Know?
He also does self harm. He can't stop himself.
