 Dogrot didn't even know what children were; it had just wandered in here looking for more free food (and maybe, that's what it thought all the small kin were). Naturally, the kids started crying at this creepy, stinky, lurching thing in their midst. Dogrot found this incredibly unpleasant and lurched away with a harsh bark of alarm. Somehow the children got it into their heads to gang up on the creature, and they went from screaming in alarm to screaming war cries and giggling every time it stumbled backwards. Dogrot eventually staggered away, thoroughly defeated.

7. One of the foals starts crying and with some calming words, you manage to settle the youngster down. Peep looks on approvingly. +1 token!  Beetle the Bard prances up to the kin running the booth, offering to give them a break.
Deciding a game of tag would be grand, he gets all the kids into it. Making up silly songs as they all run about.
Just as Peep returns, one of the foals trips, skinning her knee on a rough patch of dirt and starts to cry. Beetle goes to the little one, kneeling down to inspect the scrape. Quickly he cleans it as best he can, using snow to - as gently as possible - scour out the dirt, and numb it slightly. "Such a ferocious tagger as you should have a mighty battle scar. Why, I bet songs will be sung of you for generations to come!" he tells the foal, who had indeed been tagging quite a few of her friends. This brings a watery smile to her face, and she bounds off to rejoin the others.
Catching Peep watching he gives a smile and nod. "That ones got a minor scrape, nothing serious if it's kept clean." he passes that information on before collecting his payment and continuing on his way.

whee 9. The foals are already tired and you watch over them as they curl up for a nap. +1 token!
Vanish came back to volunteer the next day too. When he was assigned to watch over a small group of foals, he noticed that this batch too, had been worn out and ready to take an afternoon nap. Seriously, whoever was babysitting them before him did an awesome job at tuckering out these little babs.
The buck stood there and smiled before he trotted gently around the foals in a slow circle, watching over them as they yawned and slept.

"Great, it's you!" grinned First to Strike, having finally extracted himself from the petting zoo. He couldn't really help himself: everything had been so cute. Grumble would've been jealous.
Anyway, he did recognize some of the little kids, at last, which meant he knew just which ones to pull aside to recount a tale of heroism. They were transfixed. He profited.

"Right, foals," Rob said, sweating a bit as she looked warily at the ring of small, eerily expectant faces. And then at the pile of tokens. ...And then back to the slightly smaller pile of foals.

10. You are the Foal Master! They are enamored by you and are upset when you have to leave. Maybe you should consider joining the tribe? +2 tokens
Vanish absolutely adores this tribe and this morning, he had spent some time in the stream to wash himself clean and tidy himself up. These past few days had boosted up his confidence in babysitting the foals and he could not be any happier than being part of this herd.
The buck showed up to the nursery area with a bundle of fresh grass that he had plucked and weaved into a cube on the way there.
He dropped it down by the foals who had just woken up and they ate it with hungry bellies. When the tiny feast was over, he played with them until the afternoon. That was when it was time for them to nap and for him to go out and gather more resources for this tribe.
He noticed how upset they were and sung them a lullaby to lull them to sleep.

"Hello," said First to Strike smartly. He already knew just where to go to find foals who were up for some playtime, and he engaged with them happily. He was surprised to find that he was actually...sad, when the time was up.
"At least we still have each other," he said, to Grumble.

When Vanish got to the scene, he spotted a tiny kio crying by himself beside a fallen tree. "What is the matter?" he asked the little foal. he told the buck that he lost track of his mother and was afraid that she had abandoned him.
"Now, now, you must believe that she will come back. I am sure she walked ahead to get you something nice to eat," he told the crying foal. "Do you want to look for her together?" he asked the tiny kio. he stopped crying and nodded his head. only sniffles were heard and over time, it was gone.
The little babe got up and stayed near Vanish's side as they went searching for the mother.

First to Strike had no idea what he was doing, when it came to interacting with foals, but that hadn't really stopped him so far. "Let's do tag," he decided.
Tag did not look like it was working out for him, unfortunately. These kids were vicious - or, well, it was probably just that he didn't want to hurt any of them, and they had no similar qualms.

This time when asked to look after some foals, Blue Blood was a hair more confidant. He spent the entire time telling them stories, and almost felt bad when he was no longer needed. Almost felt bad. Almost.

8. One of the foals starts crying and everything you do seems to make it worse. Fierce Love takes over with a growl and you wander away. No token.
"Is something wrong?"
"Are you choking?"
"Did...did I scare you?"
The zikwa casts a helpless look towards any of the other kimeti at the daycare at the time. "I don't know what's wrong!"

10. You are the Foal Master! They are enamored by you and are upset when you have to leave. Maybe you should consider joining the tribe? +2 tokens  Acorn offers to watch the foals for a while, even though she'd just gotten to the market herself seeing the younglings prance around draws her over.
Weather from experience or because her smaller size, or both, the foals are delighted by her. She sets up games of racing and tag, the former usually turning into the latter, and while she doesn't give the children easy wins she does let them win.
When it's time for her to leave the youngsters seem unhappy, several asking her to stay. Giving them a soft smile she tells them she'll be back again, but for now she'd like to see some of the market herself.
Thanking the doe's running the daycare, Acorn collects her tokens and goes off to see what other booths are here.

When he came to greet the foals again ready to babysit he saw a tiny kio crying, oh no, this is all too familiar...
Vanish noticed Fierce Love watching him but he did not care, he turned around and bolted out of there! There is no way he could calm a wailing bab down!

Okay is Wonderful had borne children before, but that didn't mean she'd ever raised them. Wasn't it fine, if they wandered off? They were all kin. She'd raised herself. They'd be fine.
