RP Response: "Hi again?" said a very frazzled-looking Soothe. "I-I'm back!"

In all honesty Soothe didn't look like much of a sports-player - but she'd done so very well that first day. Wouldn't it be nice to try again? Certainly nicer than trying to kiss frogs and only getting kimeti, or more fish. Who weren't being stored in water. Augh!

But she did know the drill this time, and she let herself calm down while the rules were explained again. Then she took her coconuts and...kicked them.

Unfortunately instead of kicking the first, it looked more like she'd broken it. And the second...well, she kicked it, all right. But it just rolled under the loops. She heaved a sigh. "I'm really sorry," she said - she did sound quite miserable. "I don't know where all that luck from a few days ago went!"

But there was a third coconut. Perhaps this one would turn out better for her? It was always worth a try. She sucked in a breath and kicked it - but as she did, a large gust came. It went way off course. She should've been thinking harder - ahh! "Thank you for the token," she still said, politely.

Streams of Silver stepped up to the booth, turning as she examined the coconuts. This couldn't be too hard, could it?

This was a novel game. The first coconut Streams kicked missed the targets laid out, and the doe huffed, moving to kick the second one back and forth a bit before she tried again. That one flew true, hitting the edge of the small hoop, and then going through. The third went through another hoop!

All in all, it hadn't been a bad first try– two of her three attempts managed to make their way through the hoops, and she was even given a coconut to keep practicing. Afterwards, it would make a tasty snack– that alone was victory enough.

RP Response: Soothe was humming as she approached the coconut tree loop setup today - her venture with the frogs had gone much better than the previous day's, after all.

Still, she wasn't very sporty. And it looked like all her beginners' luck was gone. That was, um, okay, right? She could still kick, and she was pleased to see that her first coconut landed squarely in the medium-sized loop. "That was okay," she said. But...she remembered doing far better a few days ago. She examined the other two coconuts. "Do you have any advice?" she said, joking, and then she just kicked the next coconut.

It, uh, rolled. A little ways over. But it was hardly a reprise of her first day. She huffed out a little sigh. "I'm sure you don't want me playing with you now, right?" she asked Ducks, but she turned diligently to the last coconut anyway. "Here, I'll - " She wanted to get this over with, right?

Okay. Run back a bit, and then - ahhh, look at that sidespin! Unfortunately it didn't seem to help the coconut reach its goal. Oh well - at least there was a token in it for her.

RP Response: Having gotten better and better, Blue Blood was feeling his confidence grow each time he arrived to attempt to make more goals. His kicking gain was starting to get fairly on point as they saying went, and he enjoyed the feeling of superiority in a physical activity, even if it was really just all fun and games in the most literal means. As the coconut was punted to him, Blue Blood was quick to aim for the medium sized hoop, scoring quickly enough without too much effort. However, this was the last of his luck, as his pride began his downfall, no longer paying as much attention to his aim as he should. His second attempt did not gain him the one he wanted but the other goal nearby, and his final attempted landed him with nothing. Overall, he'd failed himself. He'd let his pride get the better of him.

RP Response:
Light in the Ocean was a grandpapa now and it seems to be showing by the way he played this game with these two kin at their booth. When he meant to shoot he ended up passing the fruit back at his opponents. Oopsies. But this acha was always the positive type so he played with a wide smile on his face. It is all for fun. There was no space or time to be upset. He stumbled a little and picked himself up again as he regained his balance. In the end, well, he didn’t seem to have made much progress. I guess it was out of pity or good sportsmanship that they let him take a coconut home. “Ahh you shouldn’t have, but thank you,” he replied as he nudged and kicked the fruit along towards an empty clearing to crack it open and eat it. Coconut is sweet. He loves sweet fruits.
He is definitely coming back if they are going to keep giving him coconuts as a consolation prize.

1-8 pts Welp at least you made SOME points. Ducks offers you a coconut to take home and practice with... or eat. I suppose. If that's what you want to do :/ Keep trying!

RP Response: "Yes," Soothe laughed. "I'm back." She wasn't sure why - it was becoming clearer and clearer that she was nowhere near as good as her first attempt had suggested. Still, she kicked the first ball diligently - and hummed in surprise as it sailed elegantly through the medium-sized loop. A good start! The second one found its way into the small one, and she nodded. "That's a bit closer to that first day, right?" she giggled. She wasn't sure what the two does thought of her now.

The distraction meant last kick didn't propel her coconut very far, though. "Oh, well," she said, shaking her head. "I'll see you tomorrow!"

RP Response: Back for more after yesterdays' abysmal efforts, Blue Blood had every intention to beat his old standing score. Yet he knew that in order to do so, he'd need to overcome his biggest obstacle, himself and his pride. Arrogance had cost him points and in order to beat himself at this game, he had to remain wholly focused, not getting cocky each time he actually made a goal, (even if he was just that impressive). As focused as he could be, Blue Blood darted around, kicking one goal after another, though by the end he was wondering why he was so determined. He was hardly good so why did he like this? Aside from winning that is.

The first coconut sailed perfectly to its goal– the biggest loop, mostly to practice. For the second, Streams of Silver had better plans. She kicked it back and forth, getting an idea for how it rolled, before moving to kick it– and watching it sail through the smallest loop! Success. The third, however, narrowly missed that same loop, and the doe made a frustrated noise. Still, they seemed rather happy with her progress– even if she didn't get to walk away with a coconut this time.

RP Response:
Unobtainable walked over and looked at the two kin. Coconuts? Really? Oh well ok well she supposed this might be easier then it looked and she could try throwing with her tail for added aim, she didn't want to get her head hurt on one of those hard coconuts.

"Looks easy enough." she said as she used her feet to play with one of the coconuts for a moment and then, just to see, tried with her head and did as she had seen the others and the green female do....it missed by miles it seemed and she sighed. Two more.

She turned and griped the coconut with her tail and flung it towards the hoops. She got the smaller one, 5 points! Wow! Oh that was a bit easier but it was hard to aim with her face the wrong way and even then it had been one of the smaller ones!

She picked up the last one and tried again, it went a little wide and got the bigger hole and not the littler one again. She sighed and shrugged. She had still done ok in her book. "6 points is better then none right?" she said to the green female as she smiled. "I'll be back again tomorrow!" she said with a laugh.

RP Response: It took her a bit to get to the coconuts, though. "Just the usual, right?" she joked, a small smile on her face. She sized up her first coconut and kicked it cleanly into the biggest loop. Well done, she thought to herself, grinning. "That's a pretty good start, right?" she smiled. She'd have to see whether her luck carried. The next coconut was much bigger, and she stared at it a bit when it was first passed to her. Could she kick this?

Yes, she could kick it. But Soothe wasn't able to kick it very far - largely because the moment her hoof connected, momentum carried it forward and ensured that she actually kicked it into pieces. Oh no! The milk had gotten everywhere!

After a bout of laughter, and everyone around had shaken themselves off, she got to her third coconut. This one kicked nicely and landed in the medium loop. Not a bad showing, Soothe thought. Well, second coconut aside. They could all forget about that second coconut. "Ooh, yes, I'll take one," she said, smiling at the two does when they offered her a coconut. She was more likely to feed it to an animal than to practice with it, though!

RP Response: "Hello again," said Soothe nervously. She hoped she'd make a better showing today than she had been. Honestly, she liked the practice, even though this wasn't something she'd have expected to do. "How did the two of you get so many coconuts at this time of year?" she marveled, shaking her head. They must've been collecting for a while!

Or...wouldn't they have ripened? Maybe they had access to a forest of coconut trees. Did they live near the Tidewalkers? The totoma didn't look it. So much fur...

Well, whatever. That didn't matter for this. She kicked her coconuts in quick succession, focusing more on the feeling of the kick than where the coconuts were going. It was actually somewhat successful - all three of the coconuts actually went through a loop, and one of them had gone through the middle-sized one! Soothe found herself smiling. Maybe she was improving. "I'll definitely see you two again tomorrow," she said. "Thanks for doing all of this!"

RP Response: Like she'd said - Soothe showed up again. She wasn't actually sure if her practice had helped. Well, in all honesty - she didn't have any loops of her own, and she hadn't had very long to practice. There was always someone injured to tend to, and even if she was better with animals than most kin were, they were still animals. You couldn't tell them that whatever you were doing was for their own good.

"Hi again," she said, nodding carefully at them. "I'm awfully sorry about taking up so many coconuts for this - "

This endeavor? She didn't even know what this was all for. But maybe these two didn't mind that. It was their coconuts that were being used, after all. And they were encouraging it, by letting her keep doing this, right? She nodded to signal that she was ready.

Her first coconut sailed through the medium-sized loop happily, and so did the second. Some hesitation meant that her third missed, however - although it did still manage to make it through the largest loop.

She smiled with satisfaction. "That was pretty good," she concluded.
