"I think its just like Skiyaii! I can't wait to show Mommy and Daddy!" She grinned and hopped from foot to foot. Meanwhile Skiyaii snuffled at the new person curiously. Inviting a touch after licking her hand with a disturbingly large tongue.

Rijiri sidled up to Kiyelt as well concluding the reunion segment. "We will find you one Ichil no worries." He smiled.

Initi hugged them both, "I better go home now, see you guys later! Thank you!" She scurried off to go show her new prize to her parents.

Kiyelt invited Ichil into the tent. "I'll set up lunch and tea if you want to make yourself comforatble..well as comfortable as you can with all the critters. I promise they won't bite."

Ichil returned the hug without hesitation, something her family would have frowned upon. She waved as the child ran off. "It was nice to meet you!"

She turned back to Kiyelt with her same ladylike demeanor, but it quickly dissolved as she reached out to caress the janarim's head and give it a little scratch. Well. She'd never met anything like this before either.

"Oh? Hm. Thank you," the noblewoman said and touched Kiyelt's arm as they entered the tent. Really she had been expecting a small cabin of sorts but this was kind of charming in its own way. It was rustic. "Don't worry, I trust you so I trust them. Besides, if I get myself bitten it'd probably be my own fault. Things don't tend to bite for no reason." She gave the xaraan a little pat and then began to remove her cowl. She shook free her hair which fell in braids to her thighs, and then pulled off her traveling robe to reveal a rather shapely bust and hips perched on either side of a slim waist. She pulled a few pins from her belt and began to coil her hair into its usual style. She liked it here, where nobody or, at the very least, very few people would have ever even heard her name.

Kiyelt was pouring the water from the kettle into the tea pot when Ichil took her coat of and released her hair. Oh my Chi, he thought. She was exquisite her outside matched her inside beautifully and flawlessly. Fit as a racer with curves in all the right places. The fire hissed and Kiyelt looked back down, he had missed the kettle a little bit. "Shh." he hissed at the little cook fire which continued to crackle merrily. He set the tea down gingerly, the last thing he wanted to do was pour the hot water on his foot next and hop around the tent like a monkey in front of Ichil. She seemed so sure of herself so together and confident. He admired that it was very alluring. He swallowed and prepared a simple meal. "Once I'm settled the meals will improve I promise. It will get better than bread and dried meat." He offered her a plate and set up his own then poured them both tea. "I think the Oban tea is the best I've found. My mom slurps tea in winter like crazy. Dad prefers to live off her cooking then watery plant water. I like it though."

Ichil heard the sizzle and looked up to find Kiyelt staring. She laughed around the last pin in her mouth and shook her head. When it finally made it into her hair she struck a couple of poses, but Kiyelt had already turned back to the tea. Ah well. She was still grinning when she took the plate offered to her and nodded with a polite "thank you" when he poured her a cup of tea.

This was nothing like home, of course. She lived in a manor with private chefs, and this was a tent on the cusp of Oba with dried meat and tea. That didn't mean she didn't like it here. It was cozy and homey, quite different from the manor.

"I learned to cook when I was young. Maybe I'll go shopping and make you dinner next time, hm? It's the least I can do for you taking me in like this. We don't even really know each other." Except she'd learned more about him in these past few hours than she had any man in the past... any person, even. Kiyelt wore himself on his sleeve, or his bare biceps as it were. That was rare these days. "Meat and tea is just fine, though. Good for energy." She took a good, rather unladylike bite of her jerky, chewed it, and then downed it with a practiced sip of tea. "So your parents still live in Zena?"

"They do indeed, in a little house on the edge of town where they stoicly stay different from almost everyone else. They are odd for icelings, they have an alk friend for instance and many other peoples gathered over the years as they traveled. Mom mostly stays home now and bakes cookies which dad steals then wanders off to various battles to sneak back home when he feels like it. They really are very fun to watch."

"I was wondering if I would get a sibling out of them but so far, nothing and I'm getting rather old. I'm not sure why they stopped. I hope I wasn't too much a handful. Do you have siblings?"

"I would be honored to taste your food but please let me make a real run of it after I hunt and shop." He giggled.

Ichil smiled. Cute. Kiyelt had a good, functioning family. His mother baked, but she didn't seem like the stepping stone her own mother was. She'd rather like to meet them one day, she thought, if she could survive the cold of Zena!

"I do. I have two sisters. Sita is seven years older and Dalani is four years older. I know for a fact I was too much and they chose to stop," she said, then laughed. Oh, and it was true too. Sometimes she felt bad for doing wrong by her father, but he wanted so desperately for her to be someone that she was not. At least he had two other daughters to marry off and take over the manor when he was gone. She had never really bonded with her mother at all.

"Of course," Ichil said with a smile. "I don't get to cook for people often. It'll be a nice--" date "--change." She felt a little odd inside at that imperceptible slip-up but gave no outward sign. She was going to like it here with Kiyelt, though. She could already tell. How long would he want her to stay?

He decided not to touch that particular pile of emotions centered around her own family and their stopping right after her. Families were awfully complicated he had been quite fortunate with his even if they had kicked him out of Zena for a while.

"Well I won't stand in your way if you would like to cook, but only if you want to, I mostly cook for myself now occasionally Initi."

Skiyaii chose this moment to squeeze into the tent and settled by Ichil curling up in a ball, not at all succeeding in making his enormous bulk smaller. Kiyelt chuckled, "Well he does try," He came over and scratched the janarim on the forhead, making him growl in pleasure.

He paused, "Oh, um sleeping arrangements, I need to go and get some more blankets for you. Thankfully we don't need too many, especially with everyone in the tent at night although the two big ones might have to sleep outside so we have room."

He came back with an armload of bedding. "Wasn't expecting a guest but I borrowed these easily enough."

Ichil nodded. "I do want to cook for you. Like I said, it's the least I can do." She actually grinned when the janarim entered and gave him a few good strokes.

"Oh, you get cooked food too? I think someone is spoiled," she cooed to him, and continued petting the beast while she continued to eat her meal. Kiyelt left and came back with blankets and her brows furrowed.

"You didn't have to do that! I don't mind sharing." She gestured to where he had been sitting previously. "Just sit down and have your tea, there's no need to fuss over me."

"Um share? I'm not uh, well you see uh.... |" Your too hot to chance it? I might not be able to resist? It would be better if I slept outside? He didn't want to insult her, far from it. She was too wonderful for words. Ahem. "I'm definitely flattered, I'm sure it would be most cozy but this is the first night we met and it might be a bit awkward if I were sprawled over you in the morning because I'm used to the janarim and the xaraan as bedmates and I don't want to flatten you." There he had told the truth as awkward as it was.

Ichil laughed again at Kiyelt's awkwardness and shook her head.

"There's no offense taken," she said, "but I may steal your janarim for cuddles. He really is a sweetheart, isn't he?" Ichil turned a bit and gave the beast another few good head-strokes. "He's far too cute to be angry if he flattens me." She turned to Kiyelt and smiled. "The both of you." Then she sipped her tea as if nothing at all had been said.
