Eileen was excited to be out celebrating with her school. She couldn't wait to play the games and check out every booth in the festival. Though she could do with so much snow. It practically covered her hooves. She put that thought aside as she looked around the festival, seeing what caught her eye first. It wasn't any of the booths, but a daydream who was joining in with her nightmare classmates. "What? Daydreams are joining us this year? How exciting!" she said to herself. The more beings to have fun in Nightmare Academy, the better. She almost walked into a booth while looking at them. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I guess I got distracted." she said to the demon behind the booth. The demon smiled and looked up at her. "Its alright. Would you like some peppermint bark?" Eileen couldn't resist sweets. "That would be awesome, thank you so much." she said, while grabbing the bark from the nightmare. While she was reaching, a little flitterrat climbed up on her arm and into her jacket hood, trying to get warm."Seems like I keep finding flitterrats in every event." she laughed to herself as she walked over to the next booth.

The demon junior didn't care much about events. She tried to avoid them as much as possible. But this one was Eileen's last year as a senior and she had to do it for her friend. Even though she was annoying sometimes. Niamh looked all around for Eileen in the festival but she couldn't find her. She wanted me to join her and she's no where to be found? That girl. she thought. As she was looking, a young litch freshling was working a book with his father. "Hey, you demon girl! Would you like some candy and a plushie?" he shouted at her. Niamh turned around and approached the booth. She eyed it and finally she picked her item. "That." she said while pointing to a book. The litch boy looked confused but anything to get rid of the book his father was making him read. "Here you go" he said while handing her the novel. "And take this too." The little boy handed her a kidden plushie. Niamh nodded and walked away with he new stuff.

Faolan's tail swished back and for, excitedly looking for the first booth he'll visit. It was his first time celebrating the Winter Solstice and he wanted to make sure he'd get as many goodies as he possibly can. He looked over, seeing one booth with not so many people. Not so crowded, perfect place to get some goodies he thought. The little grimm rushed over as quickly as he could. Once he reached the booth, he looked all over the table. "Any candies?" he asked eagerly. The gesist owning the booth looked over at the grimm. He sighed and said "We only have these antlers and bells at this table. You can pick of these." Faolan sensed the gesist didn't want to be cooped up in the booth. He understood his boredom. I mean, he wouldn't want to be placed there either. Faolan grinned and tool the antlers that were available. He thought he'd look pretty spiffy in these. Once he placed them on his head, he looked around to see what booth he'd go to next.
Silas had been hiding the best he could from the hecticness of the festivities that were abound. One of the caretakers had managed to coax him out of huddling away in his room, but now he was nervously glued to the walls of the Academy, trying to keep out the way of the throngs of Nightmares who were rushing about. Clutching tight to his little stocking, downcast eyes struggling to keep from clamping closed, he made his way for one of the doors to get outside too. Maybe it would be less crowded and frightening out there... After all, there was more space out there.
But upon pushing through after a large group burst by, Silas was met with more hesitance on his end. There... were lots of booths, and clusters of strangers everywhere! Pulling his stocking to his face, he hid his mouth against it in a nervous habit, slowly toddling along, his legs a little shaky. Doing his best to be as invisible, and unimposing as possible, he tried to drift towards less populated areas, but was flagged down by a kindly voice. At one of the thriving booths there was a kindly Nightmare who had goodies galore! They danced around the set up to skip over to the tiny Freshling, drapping a fluffy large boa around his shoulders, before returning back to manning their station.
Lifting a hand to tenderly touch the furry object now laying along him, Silas managed to feel a little more comfortable. It was so soft... Walking on, his eyes scanned tentitively now, peeking up at the booths that he would come across... before they froze on one in particular. It was.... filled with plushies!
Instantly, the little Litch's eyes began to sparkle, and his cheeks blossomed with warmth. When the owner of the set up noticed him, a big smiled was aimed at the youngsters way. Picking up one of the large plush Kidden's, the older Nightmare leaned over to offer it to Silas, who---as if in a dream--- gingerly accepted the gift. Hugging it tight, feeling a little bliss starting to flutter in his chest, it was stuttered as a passing group bumped right into him, making him stumble, and fall. The plush, luckily, helped cushion it, but the act had shook up the mousy child. Flustered, and the group uncaring in the act, Silas picked himself up, and darted off to find a more secluded, quieter area on the grounds, curling up with his new plush to hide away in his own little world.
Ustule watched the blind boy throw the ball at the bottles. He managed to knock most of them over. The throw would have been good even if he had sight! She gave him a tiny smile, even if he couldn't see it, and clapped her hands gently together. But she turned her head at the sound of a familiar voice and her smile deepened just a fracture. Ah, Prometheus! Her fellow Borean! She had been delighted beyond words to find someone else from her homeland when they'd first met a few weeks ago, as well as making another friend. She had precious few of those. To be honest, she hadn't really expected to see Prometheus here. Parties didn't seem like his thing. Though come to think of it, they weren't generally her thing, either...
Pish tush. She was here, and so was her friend. And apparently, the boys next to her, the blind boy and the other boy, were his friends as well? Or at least he knew them? She looked them over. The blind boy was definitely part Litch--she couldn't tell if he was whole Litch with a small wing mutation, or whether he was part Fallen as well. Small wings were a confusing mutation--they cropped up even when they shouldn't. As for the other boy, a cursory glance made him look like a Demon, what with the horns and the tail and the lack of claws. But a closer inspection revealed black sclerae and a chunk missing from the ear. Judging by the shape of the hole and the way it was curved and, well, healed, it was likely a symptom of Rot. A Litch hybrid, then. Though why a Litch would deign to breed with a Demon was beyond her... She shook her head in response to Prometheus's question. "No. I just got here." Idly, she picked up another ball and threw it. Without waiting to see if she'd hit anything, she turned back to Prometheus and the two strangers. "So, you are all...friends, then?" She accepted a bundle of candy canes idly from the game master, murmuring, "Thank you."
Perigor turned at the sound of Prometheus's voice and waved, grinning wildly. But he'd greeted the pink girl, Ustule, her name apparently was, first...well, that was a little unfair. Then again, she was standing closer to him... He wondered briefly if Prometheus had a crush on the girl, then dismissed the thought. Prometheus? Be interested in anybody? Psh, get out of here. Still... Prometheus turned back to the bottles, watching as the girl's ball hit some of them. He looked over at Teo, who seemed to be watching him with that blank face of his.
Reflected in the blind boy's glasses, Perigor could see his own face. Was that jealousy on his face? Yes, it was. Peri always felt jealous. Always felt...inadequate. It was the inner evil in him, clawing to get out. People didn't like it. They could feel it...and he could feel it, too. "Yep, we're all friends," he said. He pushed the quaver out of his voice to continue with, "So you've met Prometheus, I'm Perigor, and the lucky fricking shot is Histeol." He left out his usual introductory mantra. His friends had told him to knock it off, after all... The game master walked over to him, but did not interrupt the conversation, merely pointing to the plushies hanging from above. Peri nodded. He'd won one, apparently! He pointed to a green and red striped cat and whispered, "Thanks!"
Histeol listened to the conversation and sighed inwardly. They were going to have to do something about Perigor's inferiority complex someday. Out of all of them, Peri was the most likely to do something rash and dangerous in response to his jealousy. He'd have to figure something out later, though. In the meantime, there was a conversation going on. "You can call me Teo for short, if you'd like, Ustule," he said. "All of my friends do." So that Ustule couldn't see, he slipped his hand into Peri's and gave it a squeeze, as if to say, you are not being replaced. "And anyone who's a friend of Prometheus is a friend of mine. And Perigor's," he added. He had to head off any unpleasantness at the start...
He was handed another ball and took aim. He didn't do as well this time--there was only a soft plink as the ball glanced off of the bottle. Nonetheless, the game master passed something into his hands. It appeared to be a head band, one with antlers and jingle bells. He smiled gratefully and put the antlers on his head.

His class had gone to the festival for the day and Caper was more than happy to wander between his peers and the older students. There was so much going on - it was almost like Halloween all over again! The Giest drifted, brought immediately to a table of freebies. It was a very enticing display and listening with sharp ears, the Giest slowly reached out to take one of the flower pots. They were free gifts - oh, Evan would love this, wouldn't she? He would have to find someone to help him wrap it for Christmas for his mother. How did you wrap a plant? He did not know.
Caper continued to drift, more than happy to be a little observer. Before he could get too far, a tall Nightmare with a lot of familiars at his booth waved him over. "Will they eat my plant?" he asked nervously, eyeing the row of creatures as he clutched the pot closer to his chest. The booth man laughed, offering Caper the board of suckers. Apparently he pulled one and if he won he got a familiar and if he lost, he got a candy. That seemed fair! Still weary he might come home with a herbivore, Caper pulled a stick. A familiar! He eyed his options before pointing at one of the tamer looking Cockatriel.
With the man's help, he settled it on his shoulder. Caper ducked his chin, side eyeing the bird. "Hello," he murmured shyly, smiling a little as it tugged at a strand of his hair curious. Suddenly though it was flying and Caper jumped on his toes, almost tossing his gift for Evan. "No!" he squeaked, pattering off after the bird. It was heading for the dark corner - was it frightened? Caper watched with wide, panicked eyes as it landed on the blond head of the freshling seeking quiet there.
Ah, good, she'd heard him. He hadn't missed the hint of a smile- though he hadn't quite seen what the first part of it was for. He idly tossed another ball when it was his turn after Teo's, earning... some sort of winter treat. He settled it into his stocking, and then looked back to the others. "Thet is good, it ees convenient thet I happened to get here while you were all at thees booth." He didn't miss the jealousy in Perigor's expression, nor the shakiness in his tone... He'd have to assure him later that he was just trying to get Ustule's attention before she left the booth. "Perigor, Histeol, this is Ustule."
He shuffled out of the way for the next person to get into position to toss a ball, then returned his gaze to the others. "The celebrations here are much... different from home. Is this a normal thing here or ees it because of the Daydreams?" He tilted his head just slightly, the three of them would know much better than he would - this was his first winter down here. Hopefully Histeol and Perigor wouldn't have much trouble with his accent- he'd been slipping up far more frequently lately and honestly was debating just giving up the attempts at blending in. Ustule had kept hers and gotten along alright, hadn't she?
Geyser Eelborn
Well, this sort of thing wasn't really Ganymede's cup of hot cocoa but it was supposed to be a special occasion and... well. Anchriesel had seemed at least somewhat interested, so he'd suggested that they go check it out for a least a little while. But he refused to be dressed up in holiday gear. Oh no. Definitely not.
Upon entering the festival area, he was handed a stocking - he already had one but whatever - and then looked for a place to wait for Chries to arrive... While he was waiting, a passing adult teased him for his lack of festive attire, and then placed an antler headband on his head. Great. With a sigh, he looked around, and spotted an abandoned fennekit plush..? Well, it was his now. Just as he was securing it in the stocking he'd gotten, he noticed a familiar red--
oh. Foras. He wasn't sure if he wanted to say anything- no doubt Foras would come grace him with his presence bother him anytime soon as it was- so for now he'd sit on the sidelines of the festivities and keep an eye out for Chries.
Anchriesel was indeed interested in attending the Winter Solstice Festival this year. It was a tradition, one the Imp had been participating in for years. It was nice to get out of the dorm, earn a few prizes. Maybe this year he'd finally win a familiar. He'd been unable to do so so far. It was a little disappointing, but hey, it was something he wanted to try doing. Someday he'd have a little Flitterrat of his own or something. It was something to look forward to.
Anchriesel didn't dress too special for the occasion--he added a festive stocking cap with a furry bauble at the end, and added a scarf in pine green and holly red, and headed down to the festival. His target today was...interesting. It was, in fact, sort of the main reason he wanted to go this year...
See, a couple weeks ago, he'd come to realize that Ganymede, his childhood bully might...just have a crush on him. It was just so...gratifying for someone who tormented him to be in his power. So what was the agenda for the day? Well, encouraging that crush, of course! Play Ganymede like a musical instrument or a particularly satisfying video game. Do what couples did--hold hands. Win gifts for each other. Share candy or something. Yes. He wanted to encourage Ganymede. Which meant finding him...
Thankfully, the Geist was not difficult to find. It was like Ganymede carried a portable storm cloud over his head or something. Someone had put antlers on his head. Oh, Nine. That was actually sort of adorable... "Ganymede," he said warmly, in his soft voice. "You came after all." He reached out and plucked the antlers off of Ganymede's head and handed them to him. "You look very cute with those antlers, but I can't help but feel that they're not quite you." He accepted a yellow boa from someone passing nearby with a grateful smile. He pulled it around his shoulders and waited for Ganymede's reply.
The would be Conley's time first celebrated the Winter Solstice without his pack, in some ways that was kind of exciting. In other ways it was sort of sad. But he was really trying not to think about home at the moment. If he thought about it too much he'd probably get sad and not be able to enjoy the festival! As he wadded into the crowd someone handed him a stocking, something to put his treats in. He thanked them politely before moving on.
He didn't look around long before someone stopped him and placed some antlers on his head. "Hey! Wait...!" But the older nightmare was already gone, spreading the joy of the antlers further. At first, he didn't really care for them, but as he started to walk and the bell jingled he started to like them a bit more. Not long after that, he spotted another Grimm! One his age! And they had the same antlers on his head! How could he not go up and talk to that kid?
Paladin could barely contain himself! He loved the holidays and as he wandered the festival, he wondered what those from Above were thinking. Maybe he'd encounter one and have the chance to ask! Really, it was very exciting. And as he passed by various booths, he stopped at one and smiled. A simple fishing rod game. He could do that no problem!
As he pulled the 'hook' back, it drew out a precious little kidden plush. And as an added treat, the booth's owner smiled and passed him a bag of peppermint bark. Really, holiday festivals were awesome!
The demon wanted nothing more than to simply stand back and take it all in. To think that Above and Below would find a way to make peace in her lifetime. It was a fantastic thought. And yet it was happening. And as she watched and smiled, she wandered between tables and booths, laughing in delight. At one table, the geist in charge grinned as they shoved a shimmery green boa into her hands before offering her a small ball as they pointed to a row of cups.
"Try your luck, child! Everyone's a winner here!"
And so it had proved, with Nepheline carrying away not only the boa but a fennekit plush that was easily the size of most freshlings.
The little nixie had never seen anything like this before. She wasn't even entirely sure about the reasons other than it being a holiday for all the fun. Still. She wasn't going to turn up her nose at being able to gather treats and fun. Already she had the prettiest bracelet and the softest plush. What had the lady said it was? A kidden? Yes, that was it. Hugging the plush tightly, she moved among the booths, enjoying the smiles and goodwill that abounded.
It was too bad that the nixie back in her old city couldn't see this. It was all so interesting!
Strange eyes wide with quiet delight, Jazilyn held tight to her mothers's hands as they all strolled the festival. Tiny wings wiggling happily, she tugged on both hands and giggled.
"Momma, Momma, look! They has snowballs!"
Shrieking with childish laughter, she tugged her parents towards a table full of buckets that all held perfectly white and round snowballs. Her night was further made as a kindly old demon smiled at her excitement and selected a bucket for her. Lisping a thank you to him, she gently touched a claw tip to the 'snow' and giggled before showing the bucket to her older sib.
"Momma, Momma, lookit! It's cold! And soft! Lookit, Gilby, isn't it pretty?"
There was, Coralie decided, nothing that could or would possibly top how happy she was feeling. She knew that Ashlynn had some reservations about the Above folks, but the chimera was handling it well enough. And they had the children with them and it was all so perfect! She ooh'd and ahh'd dutifully over Jazilyn's bucket of 'snow' and smiled as the demon who'd just made her daughter's night handed a book over to her. Thanking the older nightmare, Coralie knelt down and hugged her babies happily.
Everything was so perfect.
Given everything that was going on, Adelinde almost felt as if she should be manning a booth and making sure the Above folks felt as welcome as possible.
Of course, she could still do that by wandering about, but it just wasn't the same. Humming softly under her breath, she hugged the soft, grey cat plush she'd gotten to her and made sure to smile brightly at all the strange faces she passed. She gave the book she had been given a little hug too. While not normally much interested in romance, this one had seemed the most interesting of those presented for her to select from.
Smiling easily enough Ashlynn nevertheless watched all the newcomers carefully. It was hard to forget predjudice and fear. But if she'd managed enough of it to pair up permanently with an imp and make friends with other nightmares, she would learn to become used to the Above folks.
Besides, this was a party. And she was wearing the antlers to prove it. Holding Jazilyn's hand and laughing along with her daughter, she held Gilby close with her other arm. Clearly, Coralie had been onto somethign when she'd insisted on a big family. As they group passed by one table, she heard a burst of laughter and saw a purple blur out of the corner of her eye as something thumped softly on top of her head. She heard Gilby begin to laugh heartily and watched as they pulled whatever it was down. A plush. Someone had thrown a plush at her.
"Momma, I think they wanted to make a touchdown. It fell right between the antlers!"
Unable to help herself, Ashlynn began to laugh as she shook her head. She wasn't sure who'd thrown the plush, but she doubted any harm had been meant. And likely GIlby was correct. Someone had just wanted to make a touchdown.
Soft chiming was accompanying Zahneel as she raced excitedly about the festival. She'd won the prettiest bell earrings and hadn't been able to resist hooking them to her ears. After all of the stress and worry of the nixie settling in, it had almost seemed too strange that the Above folk should make peace with Below. And yet, it was all so interesting! She knew that she should have been off in the sidelines making notes because this was History, but the lure of having fun had won out.
Bindhi could not believe her eyes. The HEadmistress had gone all out for this party, apparently. As she grinned at the folk running one booth, she took the soft, rubber dart they gave her and tossed it at the prize board.
"A book for you, my dear! Pick the one you like."
The cover of one in particular caught her eye. She always had enjoyed ridiculous romance novels.
Gilby had been happy enough up on their Mother's shoulder. They still weren't quite sure what to think about their new siblings, but it was nice to have more playmates. And Jazilyn gave such nice hugs. Even as they chuckled with Momma about touchdowns, Gilby's eye was caught by one booth in particular. The candy canes were so pretty! Tapping gently in their Mother's head, Gilby waited until they were set on the ground before running over. And even as they were being given a bundle of candy canes, a curious chirp caught their attention.
Gilby had never seen an animal like it before. The toothy beak was a little scary, but the feathers were so pretty... And the funny little thing seemed to like the candy canes almost as much as GIlby did.
"Wanna be friends?"
Contentment filled Hamish's heart as he wandered the Festival with Prague. Not only had she found a booth that was giving away the prettiest little plants, but he'd also managed to win a kidden plush that was almost as big as he was! As he raced about happily, he could hear his adopted mother laughing as if everything he did was a delight to her.
Grinning, he continued to race about, eager to see everything possible.

Huddled up in the small, dark corner that was out of the way of prying eyes of the rest... or at least for the most part, Silas had his entire face pressed against the cushy plush he'd just been given. Surrounded by softness, it helped soothe the distressed Litch, managing to make him stop tensing as much as before.
However that reversed when he felt something... touch his head. Instantly he tensed again, and stayed very still, waiting for something bad to happen. But nothing did. Slowly, and with great care, his little head lifted slightly to try and peek at what was atop of noggin, little curls sliding off of his arms as they were raised. The weight was light, hardly felt, but there was a distinct presence there... what was it? A twig maybe that fell from the tree nearby? Or a leaf...?
Decran frowned as he read the recent newsletter sent out to students. With the recent happenings with the daydreams, it seemed that the nightmares of Below had decided the best way to deal with things were to throw a celebration. All the students in the academy and universities were invited, along with anyone else that wished to attend. Decran was conflicted about it all. It wasn’t that he disliked the day dreams, he had no history with them at all. It just meant that with more people around, there were more possibilities of things going wrong.
Despite all this, Decran still headed out to take part in the festivities. The moment he got to the festival, the smells of peppermint filled his nose. His gaze darted to a booth with packages of what looked like peppermint bark. Decran happily handed over some money in exchange for one of the neatly packed treats.
Syra
Syra’s eyes twinkled as she stood in front of a large booth filled with books. Every genre imaginable could be found and she was hard pressed to pick just one. Bitting her lower lip, her eyes moved over the various sections until finally stopping on the romance books. She’d always been a sucker for the love stories, being a hopeless romantic herself. Her eyes widened and a huge grin curled up the corners of her lips when she caught sight of the book she’d been wanting for weeks now. Snatching up the coveted find, Syra moved off to pay for her book. The festival was already proving to be a fruitful event.
Finnley
Finnley fidgeted as he held tight to the older nightmare’s hand. Jocey and him had been roommates for some time now and, despite going to two completely different academies, they had become close. So when the caretaker that looked over their dorm floor had mentioned going to the winter solstice festival, the pair of them had jumped right on the bandwagon. Their first stop was a booth filled with magic (you could just feel the energy) and Finnley’s eyes fixated on buckets piled up with what looked to be snowballs. His fingers uncurled from around his caretaker’s hand as he moved in for a closer inspection. As he went to poke the snowballs, his eyes widened as he realized they were cotton balls but were as ice cold as a snowball might be. He purchased a bucket and hurried back over to show Jocey his find. While interested in it, she didn’t seem to really want one at the moment and so they headed off elsewhere.
Jocey
Jocey watched as Finnley moved over to the enchanted trinkets booth and proceeded to buy something that looked like snowballs. Surely they couldn’t be actual snowballs, could they? Jocey’s thoughts were confirmed when Fin brought his buy over and showed it off. Apparently they were just enchanted cotton balls that were as cold as snowballs. Maybe they could have a cotton ball fight later when they were back in the dorms. Jocey chose to bypass this booth, for now, and they moved on, soon coming to a stand that was selling various headbands. Jocey quickly picked out a headband with brown deer antlers on it and grinned as she quickly put it on.
Sorry about the quotes you two, just adding in the coding and her familiar <3
Parodia was not used to the cold at all. It made her teeth hurt. The mutated bapho girl was bundled up in winter accessories, so she could go to the celebration and see her friends. She had paired her normal sweater and skirt combo with some pink earmuffs, a pair of pink gloves and a purple, brown and orange tricolor scarf wrapped around her neck. Her caretaker had let her pick the accessories out before the beginning of the cold season and she was quite fond of them. Her long hair had been pulled up into two large twin tails so it couldn't get in the way in the crowd.
She trotted along, keeping her eyes peeled for Promme, Teo and Peri. She couldn't have fun at this little event without being with her friends. They were probably here already because she had taken a lot of time to bundle herself up tightly. She wore an unfriendly expression as she walked along. She dared anyone other than her friends to approach her. Suddenly, Parodia felt a tap on her shoulder. She twirled around, ready to snap angrily, but instead shut her mouth quickly to keep the harsh words from spilling out when she came face to face with her caretaker. They forced a stocking into her hand and then shooed her away with a smile before turning the other way. Bright green eyes blinked rapidly in confusion as she tried to process her caretaker's actions for the thousandth time since they had met. They were a nightmare of few words and very confusing actions.
Oh well. She'd figure them out eventually. Now she needed to find Promme and the others. She continued on her way, stocking clutched in a gloved hand. It wasn't long after that she spotted aa little top hat perched atop a head of curly black hair. Her eyes lit up and she couldn't stop herself from grinning. Promme! And there was Teo and Peri too! However, drawing even closer her eyes locked onto an unfamiliar pink skinned litch. Her face contorted into a scowl. Who were they? She bounced over to her friends and rested her free hand on Perigor's shoulder. "Hey guys! Sorry I'm late! I had to get all bundled up!" She grinned happily over at Promme as she waved her stocking a little at him. "Who's that?" she whispered into Perigor's ear. "Why is Promme so close to her?"
"O-oh look at that!" The ring toss was impressive, no getting around it, and the red and white Salamander Jasper won no less so. "Y-you're really good... those games... they're .. they're not easy. I always remember being told they were um... rigged."
Although a couple inches taller, the Litch had far less confidence than Jasper, and tended, at this point habitually, to try and make himself look smaller. His dull coloration and equally dusky dusty wardrobe selection tended to help, especially compared to vibrant Jasper. Jasper looked like music sounded.
"M-maybe I can try..."
He'd already caught a book to read, and seriously been considering some peppermint brittle to share later, but even if you had a certain conviction that the odds were against you, it seemed like everyone was having so much fun with the games, he had to try.
....A toss later though, and a calculated, embarrassed frown, and Nihls demonstrated how he'd come to this particular conclusion about ring toss. For someone who could make a violin sing, the closest he could get from a ring and bottle game was a clink sound that sounded a bit like laughter.
"... Well. Um. Hm."

"If you throw one of those are me I am not going to be happy." Nott pointed out to the hybrid, peering sharply at the bucket in his hands over the copy of the book she'd grabbed. If she was the least bit embarrassed to be looking through a copy of 'Taken by the Chimera' in public, she was doing a surprisingly good job of showing it, especially for someone who had, not too long ago, spent a ridiculous amount of her time semi transparent in bashfulness. "It's so nice they have books this time! What a nice surprise! And all the prizes look like so much fun!"
Kyleigh fidgeted with the lace edge of her skirt as she walked into the Winter Solstice event. She was super nervous and it wasn't just about coming here all by herself (because she was kind of proud of herself for that much!). It was the new additions to their world. The Daydreams were supposed to be a good thing, and she hoped that was true. Pushing her worries aside, Kyleigh followed the crowd and picked up a stocking. She took a glance around at all the different booths and stepped up to one to see what she could win.
She came to a booth with a board of balloons and plushies hanging from the sides. When she stepped up, the Nightmare running it told her she had three chances to hit balloons, and if she hit all three she would win a plushie. And they were super cute. "Alright, I'll give it a shot!" she said brightly. Taking the darts, she aimed and let them loose. When all three hit balloons she bounced lightly and picked one of the giant kidden plushies. In another game, she won a plant! She couldn't wait to show it to the gardening club.

Taegan blinked as they walked into the event. They supposed that having Daydreams attend the schools and such in Below was a good change, as long as the Daydreams (or the Nightmares, for that matter) didn't cause trouble. They sighed and picked up a stocking and wandered around, checking out the various booths. They still weren't sure this was worth coming out for when they could have stayed in their dorm studying...
Speaking of books, suddenly one came launching at them from the librarian. Blinking, Taegan looked at the book and smiled slowly. This was perfect. With a wave, they thanked the librarian and tucked the book in his stocking.

Bibiana bounced up and down as she walked. She was SO excited for this event and for the Daydreams! She couldn't wait to make new friends and play some fun games. With a giggle, she grabbed a stocking (pink of course!) and ran off to meet new Nightmares. Ooh and maybe some Daydreams!! Afterall , weren't strangers just friends you haven't met?
In all her bouncing, Bibiana made her way to a booth giving out different flavors of candy canes. "Oh, pink ones! I bet they're yummy!" she said as she picked up a pack and plucked one from the bunch to pop in her mouth. "Mmmm~"

Lestari strolled into the ball with her long hair braided and hanging over one shoulder. She could seriously use her pale violet locks as a scarf. Who needed to buy one when you had one built in? Though, it probably wasn't fashionable...hm. She'd have to think about that. Or maybe make herself an outfit to go with it... Definitely something to think about. Maybe she could start a trend! She snickered to herself as she grabbed a stocking, slinging it over her other shoulder as she checked out the booths. Spotting a Fey she wondered how clothes for them worked...
While she was eyeballing fashion, she practically ran into a booth giving away bracelets and tinsel boas. Ooh, they were tackycute. She tapped her lip as she eyed the game. The object was to get a hoop around a pole. She shrugged and gave it a try. She got one out of three hoops, so she chose a silver tinsel boa and wrapped it around her neck.

Aellys sighed as he made his way into the ball. He'd much rather be working on his schoolwork. But he supposed a well-rounded Nightmare would get out and experience events like this. Especially with the new Daydreams entering their society. He peered through the crowd as he grabbed a stocking for whatever goodies he might get. Some of the booths actually looked like fun. He was just looking at a ball game when something smacked against his chest. He caught it with his free hand and looked down. Huh, a book. It looked interesting... Maybe he'd actually read it later.
Arya wasn't sure whether he wanted to go to the party at first but when he heard there would be presents there he decided it was worth it. When he got to the celebration he looked around before picking up a free pretty blue stocking. He looked around again before he was tapped on his shoulder by a staff member and told to pull out a piece of paper from a vase for a prize. When he did he showed his number and, to his surprise, he was told to pick out one of the plushies. The Freshling happily did, choosing one of the large fennekit plushies.
Alioth looked around the giant party, in awe; this was his first school event and it was amazing. Students were trickling in, tons of games were being played, treats were being handed out.... This was the starry fallen's kind of party. On top of everything else, the daydreams were back! And gorgeous!
Speaking of gorgeous, Alioth thought as he spied his boyfriend, there's Foras. He pulled his wings tight to his back before he moved off towards the hybrid, he didn't want them to bump anyone, or to get damaged.
He fit to Foras and ran a hand through the visa the hybrid was wearing. "Hello, sweetie, loving the boa." He leaned in for a quick kiss to the cheek and a wink. Alioth was about to say more, a flitterrat hopped up on the fallen's shoulder.
