It's all a big mess and doesn't make sense to me either. I got on last night to find the guild gone. They said that even having the tags "yaoi/yuri" implied sexual misconduct and warranted closing the guild, and then since one of my characters was a child, I MUST be using the character for sexual purposes, so they banned my account.
That's absolutely ridiculous for them to do this based on that. It shines a poor light on their opinions of LGBT people by implying that the mention of yaoi/yuri is sexual misconduct. As You Wish was, for the most part, a romance RP guild. And it's the moderators that were sexualizing an underage character, not you. We've RPed before and you would NEVER use that character for sexual RPs. I've got a mind to petition it, but I doubt they would even look at it.
This whole mess is infuriating.

Mods I have talked to said that they won't overturn a permaban since they are sure I "deserved it". But it is so frustrating that they look in on a situation and assume something wrong and then punish me for it.
What kills me is that they did it and didn't even bother to notify you or any of the crew that the guild was being taken down. Then we could have disputed it. But no, they would rather just pull the rug out from under the whole guild and move on like nothing happened. It's quite cowardly, if you ask me.
They didn't even tell me what was happening. I got the warning AFTER they took the guild down. I had to PM mods to find out why it was deleted before they even told me.

It was the crappy judgement call of a moderator that didn't know what they were talking about. This whole site is falling apart. You're telling me... I had a golden Meido Yan, pine/gold Rosamund, and golden Rosamund coming out that now won't happen...
so in short they pick to remove it and act like it never happened. when the guild been around years and ban Unz for little to no good reason. this will keep happening till someone bring it to light. but not like they care about anyone in the first place

Hey, just thought I'd chime in and say sorry for what happened. I had negative idea what was happening. I finally got a warning the other day, after I learned what happened from Everfear. I tried to reason with them that my characters weren't engaging in sexually explicit acts, but they thought that my pics were soliciting the actions... You know, because supposition trumps proof--of which there is none for my characters breaking ToS.
Anyway, I'm sure you guys aren't in the mood to hear me wine. ... Know any other RP sites? lol

A very good question. This is my alternate for now. However, they said a post from 2013 was questionable and implied inappropriate sexual content (even though it didn't) so I lost the guild, lost my account, and they even halted my three recolors that were in progress.
I'm very sorry that this went down the way it did! I don't like to speak ill of Gaia for many different reasons but what I've come to notice of the Gaia staff is that they are exceptionally amiable until issues arise. Suddenly their behavior is biased and unprofessional, and trying to bring it up will only get more hateful comments from other staff that justify their actions and place blame on the users. No staff is ever in the wrong. I have tediously read the T.O.S. up and down on numerous occasions and plenty of the "reasons" for banning are not technically covered in it. (Although they attempt to by taking things out of context or embellishing details.) I sadly have no faith in Gaia and only come on for nostalgia's sake. If you feel like Gaia isn't worth it anymore then I can PM you some other friendly websites that I'm a part of. I just hope you don't upset yourself too much over this and feel better soon! You are truly a wonderful person and all that you've done has shown that. emotion_hug
It is really a shame everything had to end this way. I have received PMs from two other users who had just been banned as well, so it seems they are purging out the users from the guild. It's frustrating to know that, despite having done no wrong, I, and my fellow guild members, are being punished. Simply because not everyone can understand that a M/S roleplay doesn't need to be sexual. However, I would be interested in hearing about other websites, as I can't bring myself to dump more money into this one if I'm not going to be given respect from the admins. As someone who has successfully run two guilds as well as a charity and has submitted tickets to contribute to the site, it is a shame that they are focusing on something as ridiculous as this.

Don't quote me on this, but if you are going to ask for another site to RP on I think there is a TOS issue with it. I mean if its out in the open. I think the same thing happened to an artist, but they might have been advertising real money commissions though they used gaia to spread the word of it.
Oh great, so this means I've gotta worry about my account being possibly banned?! Just because I was a member?! This is ridiculous! And utter bull! I've already lost one account due to hacking and they are just now getting to my report after 6 months. stressedmademotion_bigvein That's it, it's official. I'm contacting all my current partners to discuss moving our rps elsewhere and offsite. The sooner the better. I'm not taking any chances.

Three people told me what happened with the main guild and now I feel like I also need to move all RPs elsewhere. I was just trying to also keep things together and now I have a feeling that any one of us could be next for getting banned.
It's a shame the guild went downhill in less than a day and I'm also sorry to hear all of this. I guess I'm also not taking chances since laying low is straight out impossible.
Yes, if you still want to stay on Gaia then please don't advertise other sites or ask others to advertise for you. However, if anyone from the other guild would like to discuss role playing and similar things I've found on other sites then please PM me! c:

I know it may not be my place to say this, but I feel like the mods are keeping an eye on the members of the old guild, and I really don't want anyone else's accounts getting banned. The best thing would be to keep everything low-key, and express any concerns off-site.
My main and my alt were banned for quote 'posting sexual preferences and having underage characters' most of my underage characters are robots. 1 year old robot, but acts, looks, and is mentally 19.... but ya know. I was promoting sexual acts with children because i listed their sexuality... I go so cranky at it, I started my own forums just for my current rps *le sigh*
