Mushroom hunting, huh. Sephos knew all about mushrooms. He loved 'em cooked in a nice soup, or baked in a clay oven. He knew forest mushrooms pretty well. He just wasn't inclined towards doing any mushroom hunting in a contest. But then, Maku encouraged him, and it was always easier to go along with his lusus than oppose him. Especially when going along with him meant he could get away from the overwhelming festivities for a little while. He picked up a potato sack (essential for carrying mushrooms), a guidebook (because, after all, this was not his usual territory), Daywalker spray (a necessity), a bowie knife (knives were always handy), and some snack bars (because he was probably going to get hungry on this trek) and set out into the forest to find mushrooms. It seemed he was not the only one with that idea, and he barely spared the triangle-horned troll and the well dressed (wow, look at that suit) a glance (Miache may have gotten a slightly longer one) as they walked into a nexus of paths.
Sephos figured that the inner forest was the best place for mushrooms. Berries liked the outer forest, because they could get sun. Mushrooms didn't need sunlight. The beaten paths would be the likeliest route, but... He blinked at the antlerbeast. Forest animals often knew paths that were invisible to the normal troll, and Sephos knew that if he followed it, he might find something interesting. It worked with plants, why not with mushrooms? Even if it was a trap of some sort, his lusus was here and traps had interesting things too.
He followed the antlerbeast, not even really caring that the triangle horned troll followed, too.
