They had attacked her home. Killed a General Queen. Stollen starseeds, demolished areas of Negaspace... infested their domain.
Carnotite paced the hall outside her room, metal hands creaking as she flexed her fists. She'd spent the day helping other agents clean up the castle, rearrange offices, even doing a bit of cooking and mindless chatter to just try and amend some of the moral issues. But now she had to take her time alone, drop the smiling and warm facade. Allow herself some time to vent the frustration and turmoil that boiled through her veins.
The orders had come down to reorganize themselves. Fix. Heal. Repair. Carnotite hissed, the bulbs over her head glowing all the brighter as she considered her own performance. Or rather... lack thereof. She'd gone after that brightly colored senshi, and he'd been a rather easy target, she had to say. Yet she'd.... she'd done so little. He'd escaped alive. She'd taken no retribution for the disgusting assault. Yet she'd seen others do the job flawlessly. It'd been impossible to not notice the red and black General as she'd moved through the battlefield. Never mind sense her aura. See her... features.
She was a half-youma.
Carnotite had heard of the half-youma General of course. Yet she'd not had the chance to meet her. As her heels clicked up and down the hall, turn, rinse and repeat, the lieutenant knew she had to rectify this mistake. She'd not taken the full use of the opportunities around her there in the Negaverse. She wasn't strong enough yet to show off what a ******** fantastic asset she was to the Negaverse. Oh, she was closer, since merging with the youma. That she knew without question. She felt so much stronger.
But it wasn't enough. Not yet. She still hadn't ranked up, still hadn't done enough to prove herself. A concept that grated on her nerves, made her grit her teeth and muscles tense. What did she have to do? Train more? Recruit people? Kill more civilians? Kill knights, senshi? She was more aware of the paperwork necessary around Negaspace, and how to file reports. How to make herself look ******** fantastic and get money through her social media ventures. But when it came to how to further herself in the Negaverse, further advance herself through this war...
Lucretia Fiore had never been a soldier, but wanting to advance her status wasn't a new concept. Understanding she had to have the right connections, and that there were some people with the information necessary for her to gain her goals... it still all applied. Cinnabar. That was the name murmured to her about the identity of the half-youma General. The woman whom had taken the gifts given to her and made herself excel with them.
Carnotite made a very simple plan. One she would expand upon at the right time. Meet Cinnabar. Get her to train the less experienced half-youma. Learn all she could from the General. Then surpass everyone around her.
Same game. Same tactics. New field. And the next time she found that brightly colored senshi, she was going to rip his starseed out of his bloodied body.
