Forera dealt 6 damage. BOSS HP: 11 - 6 = 5HP After a heal from Luxara (that she honestly didn't need, thank you very much) Forera dimly noticed the Smiling Swamp Beast slowly growing weaker, something that was almost visibly apparent. While it hadn't been instant, the growing slowness to the movements of the creature made it more and more apparent. Forera straightened herself up, managing to slam a clenched fist into the snout of the momma. That only irritated the large beast, making her chomp down on the small body of the tealblood, a loud snarl escaping her throat before slamming a foot into the side of the gator-- maybe she'd pass out, hopefully soon!
HP: 18 - 2 = 16HP Novice Offensive Style B Trinket (0) Adept Agility Style B Artifact (0)

ROUND 8 Rasali Panaka HP: 10/20 Swampbeast HP: 0/120 DefB Trinket: 0/1 Lusus Aid: 0/1 Military Weapon: Yes!The swampbeast was soon distracted by her teammates and Rasali made the mistake of assuming she was safe. As the gator spun, its wide tail blindsided Rasali across the swamp, thoroughly covering her in mud and at least a few nettles. Rasali choked and gasped as her lungs were knocked free of seemingly everything but swamp water. The swampbeast’s patience with the girls seemed to be wearing thin. None of the group had lost any(more) limbs to a beast with teeth the length of their fingers. Clearly it had been annoyed with their presence more so than murderous. Rasali was almost offended at the idea of the gator holding back, but was certainly not in the mood to see it try any harder to rip them to pieces. The swampbeast seemed to notice Rasali’s predicament of lying face-up against an embankment and bore down on her. Not about to be crushed or smothered, but unable to roll out of the sticky mud, Rasali kicked up with all her might. She connected with the fleshy underside of the gator’s mouth. Right in the throat. Rasali realized very briefly that a misstep with that maneuver could’ve broken her foot on the gator’s massive jawbone. Still, her luck seemed to have narrowly panned out. The swampbeast made an awful warbling noise and with a mighty splash, retreated back into the water. Rasali held her breath as she expected the swampbeast to burst right back out of the water. Moments past painfully slow. When the only shadow to surface from beneath the swamp was her own lusus, Rasali allowed herself an exhale and a whoop of joy. ”WE DID IT!”Rasali does 5 damage!

Her weapons were waterlogged. Aerona splashed down in the swamp and simply couldn’t get a spark, not even from her military-issued-definitely-stolen lighter. “Damnit.” Her wounds and muscles pulled and ached, head falling back just enough to brush the swamp rushes. She was on her third wind at this point… Could they really make it?
The next thing she knew, it was over. It was as though she’d blacked out and come to after the fray. A clever reptile was one that knew when to quit – and hopefully that meant no reinforcements. And hopefully she was actually the matron croc and not a youngster after all…
Aerona heard Rasali cheering and blinked for a moment before registering the quiet of the swamp. The water seemed to settle much lower than it had been since the huge mother beast displaced it. Aerona released a vigorous laugh and snorted. “Oh, man…! OH MAN! Is everyone okay? Oh… Man…”
Her fit was suddenly interrupted by a quick, perceptive realization. The lower water level had revealed something rather distasteful. Old bones of all shapes and sizes were littered around the site of their battle. “Holy crap…”
With aching limbs the redblood stepped towards the pile. “Think any of this junk could be useful…?” She grimaced.
((I found nothing OTL))

((omg are you kidding me))
That victory whoop drained Rasali of her little remaining energy. With a half-wheeze, half-groan, she flopped back against the embankment. Her head made a disgusting slapping sound against the mud. What was a little more grime coating every inch of her body?
Rasali suppressed a grimace and tried to muffle the ache in her limbs with the sweet taste of victory.
Victory tasted like moldy tree bark.
"Any volunteers to carry me back to the Outpost?" Rasali groaned.

They had fought and fought, and all of a sudden, the swampbeast just...wasn't there anymore.
"We did it?" Luxara whispered, an echo of Rasali's announcement. With how intense the fighting was up to this point, she couldn't believe it. The swamp was quiet, though, and the greenblood could feel all her aches as the adrenaline tapered off.
But it was just them. The four trolls, Stagdad. Nothing splashing or snapping. "Holy s**t. We kicked butt, guys!" she enthused, bouncing back. "Everyone was soooo awesome. This is gonna make for an awesome story back at the village!"
She paused to process Aerona's words next. "I'm good! I think Ras is okay. For should be too since I healed her and all. We good?" Luxara scanned the section of swamp they were in. And, indeed, there were bodies here, right under foot. The small greenblood took a step back out of sheer shock. Not horror, considering her upbringing, but somehow they failed that spot-check before. Definitely something to report later.
Luxara kneeled down, seeing something glint in one of the exposed rib cages. It looked like a trinket, much like the collection she had, but teal in color. "Yo, Ace! Steam! We should sweep the area. There might be more of these," she said, holding the item up. "Every little bit counts, right?"

She was gone. She would've cheered if she weren't so tired.
Forera breathed a hefty sigh of relief, though she wasn't relaxed. No no, not quite yet-- They needed to be wary in this area, it seemed ...Pretty dangerous. Bones and skeletons surrounded them like a cage, and Forera winced at the thought of them possibly having been the next ones to lie there. Hearing Rasali's groan, Forera couldn't help but stifle a laugh-- She sort of wanted to lay down right then and there, but hey-- She could do that when they headed back. Maybe.
Seeing Luxara have grabbed something shiny out of one of the dead people, Forera squinted at the other troll bodies, searching herself for something before finding a-- Trinket? Oh man, powerful! "I'm good. Also I found one too! We might be able to find shinies!" Shinies were cool. Etsali liked shinies. Though she thought she'd keep this one, maybe.

Aerona searched the immediate area, wincing and wrinkling her nose as she spotted a few bones in the distance. Some of her other team members picked the area clean, and being near all of this creepy stuff was enough for Aerona. “Here, Steam – I’ll carry you back. Great job, captain.” She mumbled. Aerona offered her arm and shoulder to her companion and began to trudge back to the Outpost. “Y’all can keep checking out the digs, but I’m not so sure she won’t be back. See you back at the Post.”
