It was perfect this time!
That is if perfect was a recital that made one want to pull their hair out in frustration. She stumbled stuttered and completely messed up all of the words to the point where it seemed like she wasn't even trying.

No banshee could have been prouder of this attempt, she managed to shriek and wail so perfectly that a whole row of lighting behind her blew all at one time, making it seem like a small firework show had gone off. It was stunning. crying

Is it normal for chairs to try to get up and walk out on their own? Keen had to wonder that as she destroyed several seats around the one that looked like it was escaping. Hmm... guess that was a fail too huh?

Not even close, as she recited she also managed to cause a fault line to appear in one of the walls. It was a good thing it wasn't too huge, because it could have made things much worse, but as it was, the fault could be repaired.. her diction.. not so much this time.

Was Keen developing some kind of weird lisp? She thought she could hear one forming in her words, and it made her get frustrated. Actually all of the repeated failings were making her frustrated and it could be heard in the slightly shrieky overtone forming in her voice. More damage, more damage.. soon someone was going to make her stop.. at the risk of the school.

Was there even much of a room left now? She had done so much harm to the room that she was afraid they were going to make her pay for it all. She just wanted to do things right. She wanted to so bad, and that was the only reason she was still going on. She wanted to prove to the teacher... AND herself that she could speak.

"Mr. See owned a saw. And Mr. Soar owned a seesaw. Now See's saw sawed Soar's seesaw Before Soar saw See, Which made Soar sore. Had Soar seen See's saw Before See sawed Soar's seesaw, See's saw would not have sawed Soar's seesaw. ..... "
That was as far as she got before she started to stumble mercilessly, she was so close, just a few more lines and she would have had it. She wilted and had to fight back tears as she was forced to start again.

As if to mock how close she had been to finishing the last time, Keen wasn't even able to get past the first line without making an error, and her voice turning a bit shrieky. She stopped reading and tried to get a hold of herself again. The more flustered she was, the worse the reading became.

The mental reprimand once more got her close to finishing. She just had to manage to make it through the last few lines without rushing and stumbling. She felt she could do it if she kept trying, she just had to keep going.

Had Soar seen See's saw Before See sawed Soar's seesaw, See's saw would not have sawed Soar's seesaw. So See's saw sawed Soar's seesaw. But it was sad to s..see Soar so sore Just because S..See's saw sawed Soar's seesaw!!" Finally, a few stumbles near the end, but she managed to do it, she had read the whole long thing. It had to have taken hours, and made such a chaotic mess of the room.. including the bats, and retreating chair.. and apparent suicide of that row of seating... Still she was done, she had read it all, and in sudden relief she started crying a bit.. and not wailing crying, just silent tears down her cheeks. Enoh Love And she finally finishes... with much property damage

The auditorium was a disaster. Broken sets, glass everywhere, flickering lights. In the middle of it all still sat the Professor, untouched by the destruction, as perfectly poised as she had been when she first sat down. The Demoness began to clap her hands together, steady and with approval.
"Congratulations, Miss O'Briain, on passing your exam." Professor Winter stood, and the with a gesture, the spotlight on Keen went out, and what was left of the auditorium lights went on, showing in full the destruction that she had caused. "You did very well, and you should be quite pleased with yourself! It was an excellent start, and you handled yourself very well." Even if she was crying now, and had looked like she was about to several times during.
"I will put in your paperwork, and you now have access to everything a Second Year is entitled to." Golden eyes focused on the sweet bean-sidhe, clearly approving. "And if you would like, I can arrange to have a vocal coach help you refine those cords of yours."
Steal Congratulations! Keen is now Year Two! You may use the Y2 dice, assign her another NAT and FEAR ability, post her up for new art, and all the things that a Y2 is allowed to do! Link to this post as confirmation that she passed her exams. Congrats again!

Keen was so proud of herself, had she failed she didn't know what she would have done. Likely she would have given up completely on trying to use her voice, doing something this hard for nothing would have been so painful. She still felt terrible about the property damage, but the pride was stronger. She curtsied to the teacher before speaking very softly. "I... I think... I.. would like that.." Somehow, despite all the trials, she kept a soft musical lilt to her voice.. though it was really shy sounding. She then took true note of what had happened. Wow, it looked like a tornado had hit the room... just before a swarm of juggernauts decided to have a party there. Not good... but Prof. Winter seemed fine, and it was good she kept her ear plugs in. "Please... will you teach me, Oth... other... t... things?" She bowed her head waiting to hear what would be said.
