In the Garden of Monsters

Argyle would scowl at the sight of the Trubbish. No he hadn't forgotten about being covered in trash before, though he certainly wish he could. Sadly He didn't have water, soap, and a cleansing fire readily available to rid himself entirely of the smell. Still given the odor some of the citizens gave off, he was still quite certain he wasn't the worst smelling human being in the area.

Still, being on his own in an alleyway did have some advantages. With none of the pleasantness it usually contained, Argyle would say flatly "Jekyll, be a dear and take out the trash. I've been in enough contact with filth today"

Putting one hand near his mouth, the Coragunk would snicker in response. When he jumped off Argyle's shoulder and landed however, the Fighting-type would crack his knuckles and called out ">I've smelled some pretty awful things lady, but you by far are the ugliest<" What did that have to do with smell? Nothing. He just felt it needed to be said.

Bio:The story of how Argyle met Jekyll is a bit of an odd one. After purchasing a bulk shipment of skin rejuvenating mud from Sinnoh's Great Marsh (Guarnteed to take twenty years off your appearance!), Mistress Rosevelt had set aside some time for a fully immersive experience with the product, during which she received quite the surprise. It would seem the mud had come with stowaway in the form of an egg. Unfortunately it was about this same time the egg decided to hatch, splattering the aristocratic woman with muck and eggshell. After a shriek and shrill cry for the nearest Argyle to attend her, Verde arrived and was immediately ordered to dispose of the creature, although not before cleaning up the mess it had created. Whispering a snide remark just below his breath, both Mistress and Argyle were in for a surprise when the newly born Croagunk began to snicker devilishly. It seemed the Poison-type had heard the boy, and shared his sense of humor. Amused by this fact the young Butler then went about the task of convincing Mistress Rosevelt that the Croagunk would be quite useful in his regular duties, allowing him to make the manor to "shine as radiantly as you do Mistress Rosevelt". Little more in the way of convincing was required on the boy's part, and so he obtained his first and for the time being only Pokemon.

Since then Jekyll has proven a good match for Argyle, frequently snickering at the boy's comments be they made aloud, or simply implied. Unlike Argyle however Jekyll does nothing to hide his wicked nature, frequently mocking others quite openly and then laughing about it. Though cruel he is not crude, and more than willingly to amuse himself by catching the enemy off guard.

>Oi!< The Trubbish gave a grumpy frown, clearly displeased. >This isn't a ménage à trois, Frenchy!< She flailed at the Croagunk unhappily. Why must this creature get between her and her one true love? For that's what the adorable human must have been. His cruel words? He was just shy! She'd heard about these before-- tsunderes! JUST LIKE MY JAPANESE ANIME. She glared furiously and lunged at him in a Pound attack!

Argyle would merely cluck his tongue in disgust, stomping one foot against the ground as he ordered "Counter with Mud-slap! It won't make this place any cleaner, but at least it will cover up that putrid reek!" He'd crush this waste under his boots if it wasn't for the fact he it would ruin them....and that he wasn't currently wearing boots.

">Sorry lady, but this is more of a ménage à un<" Jekyll croaked, reaching down to the ground and gathering up filthy earth into a clump with his hands ">But here's an autographed photo<" The coragunk declared giving her a photo of some star he'd fished out of the trash. Seemed he'd decided to ignore Argyle.

(12-8 )+(10-10) = 4 DMG! Jekyll is at 17 HP!

>WHAT I DO BEHIND IN THE DUMPSTERS AT NIGHT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!< the Trubbish wailed as she cringed back from the Croagunk. So rude! So classless! How DARE he get between her and her newest paramour? She flailed about unhappily, unable to take any sort of joy in her assault of Jekyll. >And bah! I'm far too above the realm of 2D! Ooo, but I DO have some pictures you might like! You like humans, don't you? I have this sure cute vintage idol, hang on...< With a squeak, she'd dive right into the trash-- not a strict dodge, but it was the best she could do.

In the Garden of Monsters

Argyle would smack his hand into his face and sigh as he watched events unfold. Magnificent, Jekyll was in one of his moos. Not listening to him and doing as he pleased. Well he supposed it had saved them some trouble....and more importantly the Mistress was literal regions away. Still. "Jekyll do as I say or I'm getting out the tape, and this time its going all the way around!"

The Croagunk shuddered at that. Not in Anticipation as his species were so well known for, but dread. He'd been tasting that for weeks last time. It was only funny when it wasn't happening to you.

"Now then, make sure she doesn't come back up! Plug that hole with Mud-slap!" Argyle ordered, pointing to where the Trubbish had disappeared into the trash.

Admittedly Jekyll wasn't entirely sure how this qualified as a slap, but he'd work with it. Crocuhing down the Pokemon would gather up filth and dirt, dipping it in a nearby puddle before tossing it with a right handed lob into the garbage. ">Bombs away ya failed sitcom star~!<"

(8-7)+(13-11) = 3 * 2 = 6 DMG! Trubbish is at 13 HP!

>OH SWEET ARCEUS.< The Trubbish found herself drowning in trash. Not the trash she typically liked! But this thick, somewhat clean stuff! How AWFUL! She gave a horrified wail and came tumbling out of the trash pile, flailing. >YOU.< She righted herself, staring daggers at the Croagunk. >YOU TOOK MY WAIFU. I'LL RUIN YOU'LL LAIFU.< She'd dig through the trash, looking for something to hurt him with. Ahhh, thumb tacks, jacks, and teeth-- the perfect combination for Spikes. With a flourish, she flung them to the ground.

Surprisingly Argyle would take a step back when the Trubbish through the improvised spikes. Unsurprisingly however this was because he didn't want any pin pricks in his shoes.

">Your Waifu is trash, as is your mother, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, and extended family<" Jekyll would reply. Oh sure he'd figured how she meant Argyle, but it's not like HE could hear any of this. ">Well if we're going to play jacks we'll need a ball, so HERE!<" The Croagunk shouted, swinging his right arm back to grab some mud out of a nearby puddle and flinging it forward in a Mud-slap!

(18-14)+(10-10) = 4 * 2 = 8 DMG! Trubbish is at 5 HP!

The Trubbish lurched backwards, having gotten smacked right in the face with the thick mud. Her Spikes fell into the puddle, sinking harmlessly to the bottom. >I am a monster made of trash and even I think you're disgusting,< she grumbled, getting to her feet. She looked at him, eyes narrowed. >Why this. Why can you not share. He's so fluffy! I want to keep him in my dumpster and snuggle him forever...< Stars glittered in her eyes as she imagined their delightfully trashy life... she would make it so number one. But for now, she'd need to keep herself safe. Carefully, she hunkered down, trying a trash-filled defense.

">Trust me when I say you aren't his type twinkle peels<" Jekyll remarked, already gather up a select of fine sticky muck. All it needed was a little dip in the nearest puddle to be a muddy masterpiece.

"Another Mudslap Jekyll, and make it quick. I don't want this stench sticking to my clothes.....or you....." Never try to give a Croagunk a bath. Not only did it make a mess, but it left you with a tub full of herbicide.

">You heard the man reek-punzel, this is a loooooong goodbye!<" The Croagunk called, taking a position like a pitcher as he swung his arm and released another clod of mud.

Croagunk missed!

The Mudslap soared right by the cephalothorax, completely missing her. She stuck out her tongue petulantly, wiggling her little trashbag-tie ears. >How do YOU know what his type is?< With an odd bit of care, she'd blink, thinking. >I mean, if he likes you, he at least likes trash, so I'm not totally out of the running!< With a wiggle, she'd roll right at the Croagunk, balling her fist hard and swinging in a Pound attack!

">Oh wouldn't you like to know~!<" The Coragunk announced, a smug smile spreading across his rubbery cheeks as he looked back at Argyle.

Surprisingly at that look Argyle would actually turn red, abruptly stamping his foot as he shouted "I DO NOT! IT WAS ON MISTRESS ROSEVELT'S ORDERS! IT DOESN'T COUNT!" Whatever Jekyll was smiling about, Argyle understood and wished the Poison-type would forget.

">Yeah yeah, sure it was lover boy~<" The Croagunk said, rolling his eyes slightly as he crouched down and gathered up more dirt and water. ">Alright enough fun and games. this'll hurt in the morning, but for now, put a sock in it!<" He called, loosing another ball of grim in the form of Mudslap!

(12-4)+(13-11) = 10 * 2 = 20 DMG! Trubbish is at -7 HP!

The Trubbish stopped mid-dodge, very distracted by the blushing human. >K-k-k-kawaaaaaaaaaaaaaii~< she managed before being hit right in the face with a ball of mud. It collided hard, sending her flying back into a pile of trash. If one was looking, they'd notice a stream of blood emitting from somewhere in the middle of her face. Had she been that severally injured? Or was there a nosebleed in the works? Either way, the Trubbish was down and out, and the youth man with his rude frog could go forth.

Jekyll gains 53 EXP!

[Jekyll takes 2 DMG from fatigue!]

Although he was pleased with the defeat of the Trubbish, Argyle would glare at Jekyll as he lifted up the toad and placed him on his shoulder. "Next time you leap off I hope you land on your face" He muttered, heading towards Curious Curios.

">Its ok Mr Fluffles<" Jekyll snickered, patting the boy on his head.

Finally! After years of searching... okay, probably not that long, but still... Mr. Fluffles Argyle had arrived at his first area of interest! This store looked a fair sight more legitimate than Idle Hands. The wood paneling on the outside was antiqued but still solid, the gold lettering on the sign was appropriately mystical, and lookin gin the store window would show that someone actually knew what proper lighting was! Perhaps someone should inform Marco.

But if the young trainer opened the door and pushed his way in, he'd find himself faced with a veritable cavalcade of what professions would call "junk". From music boxes to statues to ancient idols probably containing angry ghost Pokemon, Curious Curios was packed to the brim with items of dubious value. And where there's life, there's Pokemon; either attracted to the strange paraphernalia, abandoned by their trainers, mistaken for objects of worth, or just lost, Pokemon wandered this store in search of something to do. And that something might be a battle with you.

In the Garden of Monsters

"Well..." Argyle muttered as he poked his head in the door "...perhaps this can qualify as antiquing. Maybe I can even find something cursed to send back to the Mistress" The boy mused, but ultimately sighed. No, doubtless that would only create problems for his fellows rather than so much as mildly inconveniencing Mistress Rosevelt.

">Wonder if they got any T-Shirts that say 'My Butler went to Ostglass and all I got was this lousy shirt'<" Jekyll would muse from the boy's shoulder.

Starter Pokemon: Croagunk [M]
Name & Level: Jekyll, Lv 5
[Temperament] Naughty
