"Interrupted anything? I'd say you interrupted EVERYTHING. Besides," She scoffed. "You don't even play Beth- oven's piece right!" To be honest, Eridia was only looking for someone to irritate besides Hazmas of course. The other was at the right time at the wrong place and the child was going to take advantage from it. Then Chiara started chanting for a fight, not the right time yet but later when they were out of this pickle. Eridia rolled her eyes. "Of course it's necessary! How else am I gonna get yer attention?!" Eyes fixed at the piano, the little purpleblood smirked, cracking her fingers as she sat next to Hemera. "No but since you've interrupted me, I will take some of my glorious time and show you what a REAL master pianist sounds like! I'll even play Moze- art, is that how he's called? Whatever, Imma play one of his pieces." "PREPARE FOR MY GLORIOUS PIANO PLAYING! THIS WILL KNOCK Y'ALL FOR SURE!"Eridia sat straight and looked at the piano for a second, admiring its beauty. The child closed her eyes, putting her hands on the keys and delicately pressed them. She chose to play Allegro, the one Lovedad talked about a few weeks ago even if it wasn't entirely played by piano. She loved that song, again she delicately pressed the keys looking for the right one. She started out slowly, mostly playing one key at a time, until she remembered something. She didn't know how to play at all. The purpleblood couldn't even read the parchments right even after Lovedad spend so much time explaining. So she did what she could do, play it as she last heard it. Quote: Anyone in here, please cover your spongeclots for a second

"Hmmmm," Hemera remained nonplussed. This other troll's exaggerated demeanor was just helping her remember who it was. Ah, yes. The exasperating troll at the children's banquet. If memory served correct, Mera had seen the tail-end of a massive smackdown involving this very troll. Remembering that made it harder to be intimidated. "Of course I'm playing it right. It's too simple to mess up." There were literally five keys to it, all on the same hand.
'Is that how he's called?' What a quick and easy way to tell this troll was probably a fraud. If not offensive to a good name. Hemera had little time to express her thoughts considering Eridia was yelling again, and then soon after that messing with the piano. First like she might, might have some respect for the instrument....then very clearly not. Might as well be slapping masses of keys, Mera realized. Her face pinched up a bit despite trying oh-so-hard to keep it cool. She frowned even further at the thought that a personality such as this might have tried playing during an actual ball. Yikes.
"I am definitely knocked. Out, or thereabouts. I could give you some constructive criticism, but I wouldn't know where to start, and there may be more pressing matters at the moment anyway."ImaginationsParadise If there wasn't a dead body there would be at least five paragraphs of Hemera correcting every little thing. Fun!

Even if she imagined herself playing oh-so perfectly, reality showed the exact opposite. Once she was done, Eridia was about to give her an encore until Hemera talked about giving her constructive criticism. As if her piano playing was bad. "Yeah, maybe when there ain't a dead troll business going around, I'll find you and give you some tips. Then one night you'll be able to play as good as me." Sarcasm yes, but she was wishing Hemera something horrible. So it was a win-win. "I'm Eridia by the way." She said, and by the way she said it it seemed as if the tealblood didn't have any manners. Eridia got off the chair and headed north. Somehow, while she played she could only think of the purpleblood who could be wrongly accused. So she had to make sure he was in fact innocent. Before she left she waved good bye at Mera. She had to talk to Gerard. Now. HIIII I EDITED, Gl!tch~ trying to make sense of her appearances up north ouo/

For the second time that night, the entire hive was plunged into darkness. It lasted a few heartbeats - and then the lights popped back on. Unlike the first time, no bodies immediately dropped to the floor. As if on some kind of cue, there was a crackle and pop from speakers that had been set up around the hive. They were, presumably, originally installed to trolls when events that evening were taking place, as they seemed to be on the same system as the one Awassi had used at the beginning of the night. The voice that came out of them, however, wasn't the greenbloods. "Everyone return to the central hive, right now. I don't care if you got your hands around someone's throat, or are dragging the culler out into the light as we speak. There is a real important feelings emergency going on, and if it doesn't get sorted out right this instance, everyone in this hive is going to get to join in." The empress's tone was heavy with aggravation, a slight edge of sarcasm, and the flat monotone of a slowly breaking temper. In the background, a petulant, distressed stream of complaints could be vaguely heard. All trolls have gathered in the central hivestem. The third hour of the party has begun. Your first move out of the central hivestem this hour does not loose you an investigation.
It is (also) a new ooc day! All investigations have been reset to 3. Clues posted in the central hivestem will be pmed out shortly. Some noted reminders:Please remember that you lose an investigation if you switch Outgrowths during a party hour! Please also remember that 100 words are required for EACH investigation that you do. Finally, please be aware of the players and NPCs when entering a room and be mindful of their presence when you RP! Not only is it good etiquette, there are certain mechanics that rely on being mindful of character interactions.

The south outgrowth has been updated for the third party hour. It seems that some things in the various areas around the outgrowth have changed, and some locations have been disturbed. Perhaps they merit a new inspection.

Aconan had decided that she would investigate somewhere she hadn't investigated before - which had led her to her current destination, the south outblock. Walking over at a decent pace with Loupsus trotting alongside her, his ribbon looking a little tattier than it had at the beginning of the evening due to Aconan using it as a tool to lead the howlbeast about, she mulled over what she knew, and what had been put on the board as well. She very distinctly did NOT think about the drama between the two highblooded children and how she knew that that blueblood had been protecting her new friend. (Aconan was good at shades of colours.) She also didn't think about the fact she probably should have dobbed the redblood in. Nope. Not a single thought happening here wait - gogdamnit. Breathing out a sigh, Aconan tried to turn her mind back to facts instead of worrying about the tall redblood who'd patted her nicely on the head and worried about her. Loupsus snuffled at the back of her neck as the scent of stress almost poured off his pup, and Aconan paused for a second to hug her Lusus. She'd think about emotions later. For now, she had work to do.
As she entered she saw Puchen, and decided that she would investigate the other half of the block first. Intending to look at many things, she instead got distracted by the two adults in the block, and her desire to ask them questions. Waiting till there was a lull in the conversation, she curtsied politely before asking her question.
"Sirs, I must enquire if you know anything about Gerard? And Mr. Comedi, he seems to be hanging around you a lot - do you know him?"
Of course the murder was on her mind, but so was her secret mission, and that meant finding out as much about Gerard as possible - after this, the only person she wouldn't have asked was Awassi, and she'd do that next!

The lights had gone out, which only really meant one thing. Alifax gave a glance toward Regina, whose hand didn't seem to be budging from that chalk, and made the probably wise decision to leave instead. He could update his charts when she was feeling a little more open to communication, and besides: it didn't really look like anyone was being forthcoming with the important information anyway. He pulled himself out of the room toward the south, surprised to find that it meant he was actually following Rutven. Well, whatever. He stepped neatly into the ballblock, searching for changes. But it became apparent quickly that the room was now populated. He noted the names of its current inhabitants quickly and returned to inspecting the state of the room. Then...well, it couldn't really hurt to try to get himself on Rutven's good side, to differentiate himself from the other redblood as quickly as possible. Also, now that he knew the guy's full name, it was a lot easier to talk to him. " Alifax Bunsem, Mr. Rutven. You look at home here. Have you been before?" Alifax asked, notebook at the ready. Then he took a glance toward the piano. That was probably the most interesting thing to examine next... " Thank you," Alifax said when he was done. " Good luck in your investigation," he added. He walked over to the piano next, glad for the time alone to examine it again. He peeked underneath with some caution - did it look like someone had disturbed it since he'd last looked here? Puchen and more notably Rutven were both in the block now, after all. That was significant. Next he departed for the trophy block, and was surprised to find that it, too, was occupied. By a number of people, actually. But Alifax's admittedly observant eye was drawn toward something that had not been there before: a lone book that was sitting on the table. He eyed both Ioyana and Comedi nervously. Should they be smoking indoors? What if the substance affected the rest of the guests? Either way, he knew what he'd be checking next. Well. He didn't know for whom it mattered, anyway. He picked the book up, first, to see what was beneath, before proceeding to flip through the book with an eye on both of the guests. Assuming one of them had brought it in or begun examining it, it might prove illuminating.

Returning to the ballblock, Mera noted that trolls had moved into the area. A nice surprise! She passed Puchen and Rutven, though Rutven's attitude peaked her notice more than Puchen's; Mapuye was notably dour, but Gerard was still a rather new troll. What was his deal? Something to keep in mind... But for now, she continued on into a new place; the trophy block. Her time at the piano ended up keeping the tealblood from checking it out. Now she was getting to make up for lost time!
She glanced about, noting everything on display. It was fitting, really. Someone as renown as Erilyn could only have a whole room dedicated to their accomplishments. And, for sure, there were plenty. Mera loved how the windows in here, too, were arranged. She took a moment to look at the military notes, as well as the choice of books in here. One book stood out in particular; as it in was literally somewhat out of place. Mera took a closer look.
After that, she paid further attention to the trolls nearby. A greenblood was approaching Tigwyn Ioyana and Deburu Comedi. Seeing the midblood talk to them inspired her to conduct her own investigation. So far, she hadn't added any clues to the board; maybe now was her chance. Hemera came up to the lot after Aconan had her say. "Good evening," she started, making sure to greet everyone there appropriately. "I do not mean to intrude on anything, I would just like a moment to ask a question of Mr. Ioyana." She then turned to him. She would need an opening, something better than getting down to the nitty-gritty too quickly. Small talk, as it were. "Erilyn's had a lot of accomplishments... Find anything interesting?"
And then, after that answer, maybe something more relevant to the situation at hand. But she certainly should not speak about any incriminated trolls with mixed company. Comedi for one, considering his presence; or Puchen just down the hall. Anyone could be linked to anyone else, too. So if there was dirt to dish, this would not be the time or place for it. So...hm. Well, there was certainly something she could bring up that wouldn't hurt anyone present. Especially since the involved were elsewhere by now. "What do you know about the mutantbloods?"
After her investigations were out of the way, she turned to Aconan. "I apologize again for any intrusion. Hemera Moachm, at your service. I hope you and your lusus are doing well. This is quite an unusual evening, wouldn't you say?"
Alifax seemed to be here, too. She gave him a courteous nod from where she stood.Hivestuck IIIIII made a typo Book Grilling Tigwyn about Erilyn's stuff Grilling Tigwyn about mutant kiddos

Pain washed over her body once more, only greater than she had ever experienced. This whole thing as just pathetic. She sat down near the crest, eyes wide open tears slowly streaming down. She wondered if she would be able to protect Gerard. She lifted one hand up and stared at it back and front. Her legs felt heavy and her gut and chest stung. Eridia convinced herself she was finally dying. Chiara's betrayal was an excellent excuse for her to come back here and check if everything was in order. Which it obviously wasn't. Eridia couldn't find her notes which proved something was off. She had hid it somewhere near the crest. Luckily she'd written her thoughts in code. I am very proud of-- Lovedad was about to praise her, then he stopped when he saw her moving her lips, attempting to speak. Some trolls were here, better exaggerate the act.“Dad... why..." She sniffed. "Why did she side with the lowblood?"I told you she was a horrible acquaintance my dear. Forget her for the time of being and keep on searching.Eridia nodded and wiped her tears. She approached the photo frames once more and went to her mind palace once again. The things she had to focus about the object of her investigation was the three missing portraits. Eridia took off her gloves, her hands trailed on the voids once more, checking if it was indeed because of the smoke and how old are the outlines. Also she checked her hands if they left any smudges or dust. She looked at the pictures as well, checking if the picture were the same as before and if the ones she opened up were still the same. Eridia opened up a picture looked at it and afterwards wrote 'help' with black pen. In another, she wrote 'no self control.' They seemed to be written in haste, making the message almost unreadable. Quickly she placed one back where it belonged, the other was hanged upside-down.HI I EDITED, Hivestuck checking out photo frames

Alifax returned to ambling about the trophy block after having ensured that his message had been passed off to Sarcel. There were things to do, and risks to adamantly avoid. That meant getting his business done here before figuring out the answers to a few questions still lingering. Okay, there was Ioyana again - he glanced discreetly toward the man, and toward... The clown was smoking. That was interesting. And new. Well, he walked curiously over toward the antlerbeast head anyway, trying to act like he hadn't been through before. He was just searching for evidence - around the antlers, on the neck - okay, and in the mouth, too. He had to be thorough, right? Was there still anything here? He looked underneath, too - more candy wrappers, perhaps? Then he shot a glance toward the floor, and decided to move over to the pair of adults. They seemed close. He nodded toward the room, decked out as it was in trophies. " It's nice to see you again. See any interesting accomplishments?" he asked Ioyana. He was glad to hear that there'd been something interesting about this troll, though. Perhaps it'd clarify what he'd seen elsewhere. Whether or not Awassi was innocent, anyone could see that they were about to come under fire, if they were listening to the discussions in the rumpus room. Sometimes it was nice to know how to blend in. To Comedi he gave a nod. " I'm Alifax Bunsem. Are you proud of Awassi?" They'd seemed fairly close, earlier. Wait - what had that been about a moiraillegiance? Hm...he jotted it down with a speed that he was becoming accustomed to. That was interesting. More interesting was the hint at greater plans, although - well, Alifax was already a little clued into what those might be. Maybe. Well, this'd be illuminating as to whether his hunches were correct or not. Either way, he had a lot to think about now. He jotted down all of the new information he'd gained about all three trolls - this was sure to prove illuminating.

Aconan had heard (or rather, Loupsus had heard and nudged her) Hemera's approach before the tealblood had spoken, so she was prepared and had tucked her notebook away swiftly and smiled at the tealblood before she asked her questions of the guests, making sure she stepped away so that she wasn't intruding upon their conversations - the new arrival was only one rung up the ladder, so to speak, but it was still impolite to listen into conversations....even if she really, really wanted to for extra clues. This internal battle to not-listen-in continued for a little while, so she was almost startled when Hemera addressed her. Tilting her head slightly as she listened to the tealblood, she nodded enthusiastically in response. "It's really weird! I mean, who murders a highblood at the Queen's party? That's just asking to be culled unless you can pin it on someone else, I guess. Which we'd better look out for in our investigation!" She nodded to herself, and then blinked as Loupsus nudged her, reminding her of her manners. "Oh yeah! Thanks Dad. I'm Aconan Eyulft at your service, Miss Moachm! Loupsus is doing pretty well, after his behaviour earlier. I.." She paused slightly, and the next words seemed a little unsure. "...am obviously saddened by a highblood's death? I mean, he was a loyal servant to the Empire and that's bad, because they all deserve to live and serve the Queen to the best of their ability." She nodded, more secure in this. Feelings were weird and difficult, but that was an appropriate response, right?

After looking certainly at the photographs Eridia wanted to investigate something else. The smell of smoke didn't help her sinuses at all. She looked for the source of smoke, seeing it was the juggalo and Ioyana. When did they arrived? The block was empty before the lowblood wrote blasphemies about the refined purpleblood. All she could smell was the cigar somke. Of course he'd give some to the clown. She thought and approached both adults. The clown did give her the unmatch tingles before while he spoke to Assawi and she also felt it when she spoke to Rutven. Hmm..."Pardon my interruption." Eridia managed to say, the smoke entered her lungs abruptly making her cough. "May I speak to you Mister Comedi? I'm a little worried about Mister Rutven... He seems to be skulking around you. Are you two on good terms?" The child spoke softly yet sure of herself. Eridia was an unmatchmaker, she knew about these things, sort of. Quadrant duties? After he gave her what she wanted, Eridia thanked him and headed to the ball block. The smell already got to her, and a bit of 'fresh' air wouldn't hurt. When the highblood got out of the trophy block, her eyes slightly widened when she saw Gerard had come here to cool off. Maybe it was fate? She beamed and approached the adult with a smile. "Mister Rutven nice to see you here! You're company has lightened up this room, much like the chandelier!" With her hands clasped together she looked up admiringly. "I was talking to Comedi, seems like a wonderful troll don't you think? I would like to know more about him!" His bubbly personality made her feel better than before. She chuckled a bit, smiling like she has never done before. She promised she would take care of the situation and that his name would not be spoilt ever again. Still smiling, she check again the chandelier, to be assured that the light was still on. Yet Eridia didn't use the chair Alifax brought in. Gerard was there, what could he think? What if he thought she was unrefined? Eridia looked at the item from multiple perspectives, eyes fixed at the camera. With that, she could know who went in and out, what changed in the block and much more. She squinted at the base of the chandelier, was it still there or was she just imagining it wasn't? Eridia idly scratched her arm. It was no good without using the chair. When Gerard wasn't looking, she quickly took the chair and stood on it to get a better look. Hivestuck Questioning Gerard: What do you know about Comedi? Questioning Comedi: Gerard seems to be skulking around you. Are you on good terms? Investigating: Chandelier
