"Hawthorn is fine, if Jack would be too confusing," he offered, sticking his hands in his pockets. Jack was on edge--not from meeting them, but from everything else going on; too many variables to think about, too many what ifs that could happen, especially to him. Even Owain was tense.
"This is the Creation Legacy's work. You might recall, had you been in the Great Knights vision, that Gawain's Grail caused something similar to happen shortly before his demise," he explained. "Why it's manifesting as a virus, I'm not sure. But she," Jack gestured with his head at the unconscious girl in his Ferrari, "muttered something about scientists messing with it. And I can surmise they're not ours either."

"I do recall that, yes. The grail corrupted the knight, Galahad, before creating a small army of shadows."
Shun folded his arms over his chest, furrowing his brow in thought. A virus... so this was acting like a disease of sorts.
"I suppose whether or not this virus can infect Halloween is uncertain. Granted, in that particular case, I do not think Creation is aiming to infect, but to assimilate. Consume," he muttered. He soon paused, glancing to Jack and Chel.
"For the record, right now I am 'Kojuro Kazehiru'. Or 'K'. If anyone asks."

"Koju ... Yeah, K's good," she said, not even going to try to stumble over that name.
As the two nerds discussed sources and reasons, Chel pulled one of her sleeves down to use as a makeshift towel for her bloody nose.
"Just tell me what t'punch and I'll punch it," she told them, not wanting to deal with the demantics of who and why. "Any chance you could make a bag of ice?" She asked Edel. Hey if Chel was going to have an ice demon friend she was going to abuse her powers.

"That vision... I remember that, that was horrible." She shook her head. "You were a part of that too?" she asked Jack, surprised. "Have we met, then? In a way..."

When Jack did speak instead, the ghoul listened, thinning her lips at the mention of a legacy. She had not seen the Great Knight's vision, but it appeared that the rest of them had and so she'd take their word for it. Edel didn't know what to think of the virus, except that it appeared that the humans were susceptible to it... and those creatures they fought off, were those products of it too? Shun's theory of its effect on Halloween was promising, given what she had seen in the horse earlier.
Edel glanced at Shun in mild surprise at the alias, wondering what he was planning to do by infiltrating the hunter ranks. “I hope for your sake you're not doing anything rash,” she warned, glancing over to Chel and back at the reaper. “You have people to return to,” she slid that comment in, half-joking but all too serious at the same time, “I'm saying this on behalf of Xiu.”
The frost demon was taken aback at Chel's request, staring at her for the longest time. “If you're sure about this...” she finally replied, forming an ice pack each for the rest of them as well. “I trust you'll have his back then?” The ghoul was still skeptical about the entire idea.
