Acel took a deep breath as he planned out the attack--executing it as flawlessly as he could have hoped to do. He successfully scared the woman backwards with the feint, and when she retreated, she managed to snare her foot in the trap that he was hoping to use. He body fell backwards and he knew he needed to take the opportunity that was given to him as fast as he possibly could. He sped forward like a bullet, spinning with grace and sending his blade cutting in toward the woman's chest. With the force of the spin, and the lightness of the swing combined, it created a fluid, and yet strong attack. As the sword came crushing in on her chest, it tore through, beneath her collarbone, and opened up a gash all the way across her body, from side to side. It would make it harder for her to freely move around without pain, and this was a fantastic opportunity for him. As he was finishing up the attack against the Illusionist, she hit the ground with a thump, and the Neon Archer began his own assault. This time, the thing was charging toward him like a bull--had he lost his mind and decided that he was just going to tackle Acel to the ground and try to beat him up with his fists instead of using the distance that his bow allowed. But, this was not the case--the A.I. vaulted into the air and twisted to aim a shot downward--it was a good movement to be sure, but it was not going to work against him. Nothing was going to work against him. He would be sure of it.
As the arrow came down toward him, he, having already finished his job with the Illusionist at this time, immediately sped backwards, kicking into the dirt and sending himself shooting backward. With the sudden movement, he wasn't able to stick a graceful landing by any means, but he landed on his back, skidding in the grass and dirt for a second before the arrow impacted the ground not far from the Illusionist, exploding into another small hole, and the Illusionist seemed less than pleased with the fact that her ally had almost hit her with its attack. The Intel Doctor was weaving the upper forehead wound together--stopping the blood from clouding the Illusionist's eyesight, but Acel was damaging her body more than the Doctor could heal, and all he hoped was that he could keep working his way past her defenses, in order to take the Illusionist out for good. This time, as the Illusionist was still making her way to her feet, she began to laugh hysterically--and for some reason that sound bounced off of the inside of his head like a pinball machine--working its way into every little piece of his mind. She spoke about how he had lost--even if he won this battle--because their whole race was about to be destroyed...Acel wondered if it was the ravings of a mad woman, or if she really knew something about it. He decided it was better to figure that out after she was dead...if she knew something, well, it was too late for a pleasant talk--she wanted one thing only--to throw him off balance. He charged toward her battered form and he hopped into the air as he approached her, using yet another feint slash to bring the sword across his body, his right arm tucked at his left side as he hopped toward her, and in mid-air he brought the right arm back across to the right, but instead of a slash, he swung the hilt of the sword to smash her in the temple with the butt end of the weapon.

Okay. This was getting worrisome. The man had suddenly turned up his A-Game. It was as if when they were all at peak condition, they were fighting on an even basis. But now that they were all getting tired, it seemed like the three of them were getting so much more exhausted than this man was getting--like somehow fatigue was so much more of an issue for them than it was for him. He was able to push through his own physical exhaustion enough so that even as he was fighting as long as they were--they were making mistakes whereas he was just cutting his enemies to ribbons. If the man would screw up once--just once--they could change the course of this battle. They needed one solid hit on him to cripple him and they could take the battle back--but right now, it was not looking good. At all. The Illusionist couldn't stop taunting the man, because if she did, the Intel Doctor, and the pivotal source of healing that he was would vanish instantly. But if she continued to taunt him, and the man continued to land the strikes that he was landing--the Illusionist wouldn't last much longer. The blood loss alone was going to take her life soon. As the Neon Archer soared through the air, it cursed as the man was able to jump backwards, landing on his a** and skidding on his back for a second to avoid the shot. The arrow exploded not far from where the Illusionist had fallen, and the Neon Archer knew he was going to hear it for taking such a risky gamble. But at this stage of a battle--if they didn't gamble, they were going to die--all of them. This man was too strong, too durable, too damn good. the Neon Archer landed from its maneuver, taking no time to check on their leader--she was going to be fine. Perhaps a little bit pissed off--but fine none-the-less. The Neon Archer charged in, running off around to the side, strafing around him to keep him focused on where the Archer was instead of focusing on the weakened Illusionist. It was then that the Archer drew back his arrow and held it while running, struggling to keep the string taught as its arms had begun to weaken. The arrow had turned about half orange by the time that it had to let go, unable to hold it longer while running, and the arrow sped toward Acel, aiming at his mid-section to vaporize the man's body.

The Intel Doctor, after having managed to patch up the wound on the woman's forehead to keep the blood out of her eyes, was confronted with another issue. This time it was the man cutting across her upper torso, beneath the collar bones, which would make shifting her arms intensely painful. But there was little that the Intel Doctor could do. It was such a long, wide, wound, and the Illusionist had lost so much blood already, that it was not sensible to heal the collar bone wound, as she had a hole through her torso that needed patching before the bleeding got to be too much. So, as the Neon Archer shot its arrow, and the man avoided it--causing it to land an explode nearby the Illusionist, the Intel Doctor glared toward the marksman. "Damnit! Watch where you're aiming. She's taken enough abuse already, she doesn't need it from her allies as well! And you! Blonde a*****e! Give me a break would you? Every time I try to do something, you undo it. You could always just...you know...take a break from attacking or something. Catch your breath, would you?" And then the Intel Doctor rushed to the Illusionist's side, charging the drives on the way and then releasing the code strands and feeding them directly into the wound on her stomach, healing the path through her body in order to stop any bleeding from the front of the wound. The back would be the next point. The hole was still there, but the walls of the wound were healed, and they wound could be closed if given enough time without taking more and more damage. It could only hope that the Illusionist could successfully defend for a couple of rounds of this man's strikes. If she let herself be hit again...it might be over.

The Illusionist had not expected the maneuver, and when she had fallen backwards and landed on her a** he had opened her up once more--just another spot for her to bleed from. She would have lost too much blood for the physical body to keep active, soon, and if that happened, then the whole battle would collapse upon itself. It was a scary idea, but they were at the brink of this fight--and if they didn't do something about it, then they were going to lose, plain and simple. The one single baiter had managed to infiltrate, and was now able to actually deal with all three of them at the same time. He was something else--respectable, to be sure. The Illusionist felt fear, now, and even as she was maintaining the toxins in the air, she was not feeling as confident as she had been. The things she had spoken of were no longer even getting to the man--he wasn't speaking back to her, merely going along with the toxin's will to attack her. And he was succeeding in a grand manor. The Neon Archer charged his attack once again, though he was not able to make it the full way before releasing it at the man, and after the Neon Archer had blasted the man once again, the Illusionist looked toward the marksman and narrowed her pupilless eyes. "Honestly, Archer--if you manage to nearly hit me again, like that, I will have your arms and legs permanently removed and deleted, and you can just be a ******** torso for the rest of time. Endanger me during this fight again, and you will live to regret it.""If any of us live at all..." She thought to herself, though the others likely heard it as well.
After she spoke, the Intel Doctor had already made his way toward her, and he was healing once again, cramming new code into the stomach end of the stab wound. The walls of the wound were healing, staunching the flow of blood from it, but it was still open there, and it still hurt like the dickens. So, as she stood up and tried to move her body from side to side, testing how badly the wound still hurt, she found her basic functions to be almost impossibly painful. She was focusing on this for a moment when the Intel Doctor began to speak, pleading for the man to take a break and stop attacking them, and she sneered at him. "Pleading to the enemy--even in jest...you sound pathetic. Just do your job, and lets end this battle as fast as we can, understand?" Then, as she turned back to face Acel, the man was already airborne. As he slashed in front of her, she brought up a shield in front of the slash, but he moved past that, not actually aiming to hit her with the slash, and when he impacted against the shield with his body, his arm was still swinging hard and around the shield, slamming the butt end of the hilt into the side of the Illusionist's head. She heard a horrible crack as the impact shattered a part of her skull, and her vision went black as she fell backwards. However, even as she fell back, and was knocked out cold, her toxins were in effect, and she was still alive--for now.

Acel felt the brutish impact of the primal attack. As the hilt impacted against the side of the thing's head, he felt the give as the skull actually crushed inward. The woman was dazed by the blow--she had to be. She had almost screwed up the entire thing when she had erected the shield, and if it had been larger--to deter not only his sword, but his whole body--then it was possible that he might not have been able to land it. However, he had been able to, and the woman, after being hit, seemed to teeter on her feet and then she fell backward, completely unconscious from he blow to her head. It was perfect! With an unconscious opponent, he would finally be able to end this battle! The black tendrils, in the heat of his rage, that had appeared, creeping up his neck, had not increased in any way, though they were still there. They wriggled around on the surface of his flesh like eels, though the Angel of Despair was nowhere to be found. Acel had stopped fighting against his rage and worked with it instead, and when he had made that decision, the weakness the rage had previously been creating within his mind had stopped--and he was able to negate the attempts to take him over. Now he just needed to finish this off. If he landed another strike on the woman, then she would be dead--she had to be. He was beating the every-living s**t out of her--her body was cut and battered--so she should be dead...she needed to be. However, there were other things to worry about at this point. The Neon Archer--for one--was a huge pain in his a**, constantly bothering him with its arrows. It was like a school-ground bully who just wanted attention--slinging rocks at kids so they would look at them and fill the void their reluctant parents had left.
As the Neon Archer strafed around him, recovering from each new failure much better than Acel, himself, would be able to do, the baiter watched as he ran in circles around Acel in a wide arc, trying to make him focus on the Archer instead of the horribly wounded Illusionist. "You should stop running, Archer. You're wasting your energy against an opponent who does not need to turn around to follow your movements. You can not hide from me, you can not outmaneuver me, and you most certainly can not blindside me. Try your best, and you will not land a shot--because I know your arrows. I know your skills. You can not reach me. Give up." Acel growled as the Archer readied the arrow that it would use to attack Acel with. This time, as the Archer prepared his strike, Acel had an entirely different idea of how to utilize his defensive movements. The Intel Doctor had managed to heal the woman up, just a bit, though he would have a much more important wound to heal this time--as the woman was unconscious, and would need her skull fracture mended. But, as the Neon Archer shot the bolt, Acel prepared himself in a purely defensive position, and as the bolt of energy came toward him, he moved, like water, tilting his blade with such subtlety that it caught the side of the arrow and redirected it, not cutting it but shifting it so that now it was directed straight at the Illusionist. If the woman didn't avoid it, the explosive bolt was going to tear her apart.

Watching this battle unfold had been exciting before. They had taken that stupid kid baiter captive, because they had wanted to draw out somebody more worth their while. When the lone man had approached, they scoffed at him, sure of their victory, and he had squashed those hopes--and this man, given the fact that he carried only a single core...meant that he was just a trainee. A trainee had managed to completely and totally destroy them so far. Their leader--by far stronger than either of them--had not been able to resist his advances...and now it was going to fall to them to try to take the man out. They hadn't damaged him at all--he was like a giant--standing there, miles tall. Their attacks were like ants slinging grains of sand at a man's foot. The crack from the hilt of the sword hitting the side of the Illusionist's head resounded across the battlefield and the Neon Archer's eyes widened as their leader fell backward in an unconscious state. "Oh s**t...oh s**t oh s**t, I think we've lost..she's ******** dead." The Neon Archer cried out, sure that their leader had fallen--but she did not revert to her code, which meant she was alive...but they needed to get her off her a** before the man killed her, because he certainly would! That was when the Neon Archer's stomach truly sank. The last arrow it had fired was half charged--so it would be incredibly explosive, and as it flew toward Acel, the man actually diverted the attack, using the blade and only the slightest of touches against the arrow to spin its direction around and aim it straight for the damn Illusionist! The Neon Archer was being used to attack its own comrade, and the Archer immediately blasted forward toward Acel, trying to get in as close as he possibly could, holding the arrow charged once again as he did, to make it glow orange--almost making the whole damn arrow go orange before he made it to Acel, unleashing the arrow point blank in hopes of evaporating the man. The Neon Archer had the ability to withstand the energy it produced, but it was still going to be a bit of a tricky landing to stick afterward.

The Intel Doctor watched in horror as the man circumvented the Illusionist's defenses--smashing her in the side of the head with the butt of the sword hilt. It heard the grotesque crack of the Illusionist's skull splitting, and as the body went limp and fell backwards, the Intel Doctor knew immediately that she was unconscious. Jesus Christ, this was not what they needed right now. The Intel Doctor almost panicked, but it knew that there was no time for panic. The man was still on the offensive, and as the Intel Doctor prepared to heal the Illusionist, it saw the arrow being deflected toward their leader, and its eyes widened as it pulled the energy from the energy drives at double speed, trying to get out of the way of the projectile before it could arrive. The strands of code worked their way into the side of the Illusionist's head, pulling some of the indented pieces of skull back to their regular places, and working into the brain to try and jump start it back into consciousness, but after the Intel Doctor had put the code into the wound, it immediately ran--it had no way of defending against the arrow--it couldn't. Please wake up, please please please." As it fled from the incoming arrow, knowing that it had at least managed to heal the woman a little bit, it could only hope she saved herself from the rest of the damage coming her way.

The Illusionist had no ability to stop what was happening. It was impossible. After the man had completely shattered the side of its head, the woman had fallen unconscious. It was such a strange state--as she could almost hear the pleading thoughts of her comrades swimming in her head, but she just couldn't respond to them. She felt synapses exploding across her vision--small sparks begging for her to return to the waking realm, and she could not. She was just...so peaceful within her own mind. Why would she bother going back to the hell of the outside world. She couldn't remember the last time she had fully shut off like this...it was nice. Did that only happen when you were in a physical body--this sort of emptiness that she currently felt. Perhaps. But, as she heard the incessant pleading form the Intel Doctor, she couldn't resist as the synapses grew stronger and stronger and the damage from the strike to the side of her head was mitigated enough for her to snap back to consciousness. As she opened her eyes, an arrow was coming for her, and she couldn't do anything about it. It was already upon her, and Acel's smirking face was behind it. She was able, in that fraction of a second, to piece together what had happened, and she cursed him for it. The arrow impacted against the Illusionist's right leg, and the explosion was large enough that it fully took off the Illusionist's legs, cauterizing the wound, but almost cutting the thing directly in half. But, as she lay there, her blood pooling around her, she continued to grin up at the b*****d who had put her there, and she raised a hand in front of her, dispelling all the toxins she had put in the air and launching a blast of green energy at him. Too weak to do anything extravagant, she merely released a second shot before her arm fell to her side. "Alright, you two...I'm done for. Stop healing me and just do your best to take this son of a b***h down, okay? I'm sorry...I wasn't a better leader for you. But healing me won't help...you can't heal enough before he takes me down at this point." The Illusionist gasped...she was not going to make it. The b*****d...he really was...too good.

Acel wasn't at all sure of how the assault was going to work, when he had redirected the arrow towards the Illusionist. Using an enemy's attack against it was an extreme morale destroyer, and he was sure as the arrow impacted against the Illusionist's leg and exploded, taking off the lower half of the A.I., the Neon Archer must have been pissed off, something fierce. However, regardless of how pissed off he would be when he saw the impact, just having the arrow redirected in the first place had made the Neon Archer pissed off. The thing was charging right for him, the arrow glowing more and more as he approached, and Acel figured that the Neon Archer would release the arrow at him, and was waiting for it, until he realized what was happening too late. The thing was just closing the gap between them, not worrying about the damage to itself as it got in close to Acel and shot the arrow directly at their feet, causing a massive explosion right below them. Acel turned his body as fast as he could, shielding himself with the incredibly durable jacket that he had gotten from Giliano's Garments. The man had said it would be durable...and he definitely did not lie. The explosion threw Acel forward thirty feet and when he hit the ground, he heard his left arm pop out of place as he rolled through the grass. When he stopped, he felt the burns on his back, and he knew that the jacket had been burned through. He took off the white over-coat, dropping it to the side as he narrowed his eyes, looking at the Neon Archer with a vicious glare. "Well played. Seems you finally found a strategy I wasn't prepared for. You aught to be proud." Acel stated with a nod. The anger now was gone once again--the black tendrils he had been keeping at bay completely reversed now, as they disappeared from his skin.
Acel was calm. He was collected. He was not going to be beaten here, and he knew that now. He was one step away from taking their leader out, and he had to make sure he did it quickly before the other A.I. managed to do too much damage to his body. The Intel Doctor had managed to heal the Illusionist a little bit, at the very least, but it was not enough to save the woman from the explosion that rocked her body moments later--now the Illusionist was telling the healer to stop--to focus on Acel instead...wise words, but it would not save anyone. She was smart to call them off and focus on her own offense instead, with the last bit of strength she had. "You tried valiantly to use what you had at your disposal to defeat me. You were a good leader--just because you lacked the strength to win, does not make you a bad leader. You were just out-matched. However. I do hope that you realize your greatest error was baiting a human being by hurting their friends...we as a species often do not take kindly to these acts." And with that, the Illusionist fired off its projectiles, which Acel merely batted away with ease--there was no power left in her asault--and he was not going to waste his time with any heavy movements, as he felt his body growing more and more tired. As he stepped closer to her he nodded in respect before he brought his blade down toward the center of her head, a quick and painless death, his anger forgotten, his enemy forgiven.

The Neon Archer grinned as the man seemed to not know how to handle what he was doing--rushing in the way he was towards Acel and not really letting go of that arrow. At the last second, the man seemed to realize what was happening and turned his back to the explosion--being launched backwards by it and slamming into the ground pretty hard. It had done a number on his back--burning through the jacket and leaving a nice burn mark up Acel's spine, but it was not enough to put him out of the fight. This man was a machine. As the explosion had went off, it sent the Neon Archer rocketing through the air as well. It took no damage from the energy blast itself, as his body was immune to its own energies, but it still felt the impact when it landed on the ground and rolled a few times like Acel had. When he got back up, Acel was standing too, and he was walking toward their leadr once again. The leader was apologizing, and the Neon Archer shook its head as it looked toward her. "Don't you dare! You were a fine leader...even our enemy acknowledges that. So, you best wait for us wherever we end up when we die...it's a new adventure, yeah?" The Archer thought, trying to soothe the Illusionist, knowing that the A.I. was about to fall. It had no legs--they had been taken from the Archer's own arrow, and now it was just the two of them left in this battle. The Archer pulled the arrow back, and as Acel was walking towards the Illusionist, passively knocking aside its strikes like they were nothing, the Neon Archer let loose one more arrow, in hopes of stopping the man before he killed the Illusionist.

The Intel Doctor had done everything it could. It was trying so hard to heal the woman, but it just wasn't enough. The damage the man could output was so high that the healing the Intel Doctor could use was nowhere near enough. It was a sad ghost of what it should be. It watched as the man approached her, and it watched as she slung the bolts of energy, having them easily knocked aside by the man's sword as if they were nothing. He watched as the man approached, and as the Illusionist stated her piece, the Intel Doctor looked angrily at Acel. "You're right, leader...you were not strong enough to beat this man, sure...but you were strong. You've led us to victory on many occasions. Rest...it has been too long since you have. You deserve it." The doctor stated, his words cracking even mentally. It then turned to the enemy, narrowing its eyes behind the mask it wore, and then it began charging the energy manipulation drives, immediately charging toward the foe and screaming a battlecry at the top of its lungs as it did. As it approached the man the Intel Doctor released the bolt of energy, changing its direction in the air from right to left, from left to right, up and down, and all over, trying to speed it around the man to make it impossible to follow before it plunged from the side, toward the man's neck, hopefully burning the ever-living s**t out of him.

The Illusionist heard the words come from its comrades, and it soothed it somehow in defeat. It had thought itself worthless when it lost the battle, but they did not see the same thing. They still saw value in their dying leader, and it surely made her feel as though she had accomplished something in her time. As the man knocked aside her final blows, she knew she was done for, and as he approached her she smiled, lightly and nodded to him. "You're not so bad, human. Thank you for your kind words...even to an enemy who showed you nothing but hatred and disdain." She stated, her eyes closing and a peaceful expression taking over before Acel drove the sword down through her skull, killing the Illusionist instantly. Its body immediately began to break apart in to the code that it was made of, and swirled around Acel's body before it seeped into the man's heart, fueling Midas to become even stronger than he currently was. Acel knew as he walked towards the Illusionist that she was done. She barely had the strength to send the weak projectiles before he made it to her, but when he finally had, he took the sword in one hand, his arm that he had popped out of place still hanging limp by his side. With the sword in hand he drove it downward toward the Illusionist's head and it pierced through with no further resistance, completely ending the Illusionist's existence. She began to break down, slowly becoming the code that she was made by, and the code trailed its way into the code core within his chest, fueling Midas to get stronger, and then he took a deep breath as he looked toward the other A.I. The Neon Archer hurled an arrow at him that he did not have the strength to cut in half with one hand at this point. He instead rose the weapon to meet it and pushed off of it so that it would redirect high, and spiralled into the air, exploding twenty feet into the air and far enough away that it would not hurt any of them on the ground. Then, the Intel Doctor hurled a bolt of energy at him, weaving it all around him and he narrowed his eyes, doing his best to keep track of it. "I'm too tired for this. My arm is yours Midas." The A.I. affirmed that he knew what he was talking about and then the arm took a life of its own. Acel stood absolutely motionless save for the limb that began to move, tracking the motion of the energy ball before it came slamming in toward Acel's neck. Immediately the sword was moved in the way, and the energy hit the blade, conducting against it and diffusing the attack completely.
"I have never had such an incredibly gruelling battle before...I must admit. You were all very strong. But alas, your errors in life, and your foolish decisions...will be the end of you. It has been an honour to fight against you." He stated, nodding to them as he prepared himself. He took a deep breath and launched himself forward. He pushed every ounce of strength in his body into closing the gap between him and the Intel Doctor. And when he got close, he immediately tilted his body backwards and then threw his whole body into a downward slash towards the top of the Intel Doctor's shoulder, instantly pulling back from the attack and spinning on his heel slashing directly cross the A.I.'s stomach and hopping backwards once again, this time dashing forward, past the A.I. and turning around aiming to lunge and stab forwards into the energy drive on the enemy's back. The last attack he used was to cut diagonally across both of the energy drives, incase the first one did not land properly. Hopefully he could end the rest of this fight quickly.

As their leader fell, the Neon Archer knew that the battle was coming to a close. There was very little that they could do now that the man had taken out the only thing keeping this beast in check. Acel was going to go on a rampage--the Archer knew it. But, as the Archer and the Intel Doctor both made their attempts on the man, he merely deflected them once again--back to the same old s**t of trying but not being able to actually succeed when it came to striking the b*****d down. It was a close fight--that was sure. The man didn't have enough strength to cut his arrows anymore--instead, he knocked them upward and away in order to protect himself. If they had lasted just a little while longer, perhaps they would have been able to beat him...perhaps. But that was not so. The archer nodded to him in respect, knowing that they had lost, but not giving up the fight as he knocked another arrow and let it fly. Shooting the arrow directly toward Acel's throat.

Turn 17
Acel's Attack x4: 121 - 72 = 49 (100 - 49 = 51% Defense Chance) (-45% From Stamina = 6% Defense Chance) (-8% From Acel TA = 1% Defense Chance)
The Intel Doctor had moved his attack around so many times that he was certain that the man would not be able to track it. Putting all of his passion and strength into the blow. However, as his body seemed to go still, his arm took on a life of its own before moving exactly to the right spot and absorbing the blow. That was it--the man was not human...he was a demon. At that point, Acel blasted forward, and the first vicious slice came down and the sword sunk so far down into the shoulder of the Intel Doctor that it severed all of the shoulder bones and tendons, blood spurting into the air around the A.I. His second swing gutted the Doctor, ripping open his stomach, and then he was behind him, the first attack punching a hole in the first drive, and then the second and last attack from behind cleaved the drive in half, immediately setting it into critical condition. Acel moved back at this point, but the drives exploded, engulfing the Intel Doctor in its own energy that consumed his bdoy whole--turning him into nothing but another pile of code that absorbed itno Acel's chest once more. So this...was what death was like?

They had been loyal to their leader--that was sure. The A.I. hadn't budged in their resolve to fight alongside the Illusionist to the very end. His first attack on the Intel Doctor ended the thing's life, likely. But the last three made sure it was done with quick. The rapid succession of attacks landed one after the other and it eliminated the tired A.I. Core in a moment's notice. Then it was just him and the Neon Archer left. He looked to the marksman as the A.I. defiantly stood there, stretching the bow back once more and preparing to strike out at Acel, but he would not be deterred by fear. He had no fear. Not of this situation. Not any more. He had doubted himself at one time, but that had long passed. He knew he would save that kid now, and he was happy about it. He just needed to get the boy and get him home before anything else happened. As the arrow came in toward him, Acel was walking, slow, hunched forward, and he swung his arm up with what strength he had left, knocking the arrow out of the air and to the ground. He winced at the noise as it exploded beside him, sending dirt up into his face, and then he picked up the pace, running toward the Neon Archer, closing the gap, finally, and as he came closer, Acel swung his blade upwards, diagonally attacking the Archer to slice across its neck, and then pivoting and swinging his body around, switching the grip on the sword and then stabbing it backwards in an attempt to skewer the Archer with a backwards stab, facing away from the thing.

The Neon Archer's entire body was shaking. It had started this battle excited--wanting nothing more than to face a worthy opponent. Honestly, when it had seen Acel, it had been incredibly disappointed. The man seemed like such a waste of time...like there was just no point for him to spend his time on such a loner. An idiot who fought alone against a team of A.I....how foolish and arrogant he had been. He chuckled to himself as the man blocked his shot, continuing to move forward toward him, and then lunging. His sword flashed diagonally, and the Archer hopped backwards, gasping in shock and fear, thinking he had been cut, but he had not felt anything...thank god. But then the blood started shooting out of its neck--blasting out in front of it, and the Neon Archer realized the cut had been so clean and fast that he didn't even feel it until after. He cursed himself as the man moved again, this time swinging around and slamming the sword backwards towards the A.I., and there was no time for it to move, being too preoccupied with the cut across its neck. Then the sword blasted through to its stomach and pierced all the way back to its back. When the blade was pulled out, the Neon Archer weakly lifted the bow, pulling it back, but barely having the strength to draw it. As his hands shook he let go, not even meaning to, and knowing that the arrow was barely even aimed in the proper direction before the A.I. fell to its knees. It was over...it was all over.

The first attack tore upwards so fast that it seemed the A.I. was fully convinced that it had dodged the blow until the blood began to spout from the wound--the black, oil-like substance spewing from the neck of the enemy before he spun and slammed the blade through its abdomen. The A.I. however, seemed prepared. Feeling its own weakness, and the strength fade from its body, it knew that it was all over. And as Acel stood there, the machine tried to lift its arms and let an attack loose, but Acel immediately brought his sword down on the bow to knock it aside and it sent the arrow skipping across the ground beside him. "It was a valiant effort. You fought well. Now sleep." Acel stated, bringing his sword down in a blinding cross slash for the A.I.'s head. He would tear the things head into four sections and this horrific experience would be over.

The Neon Archer couldn't even laugh by the time the battle was ending. It wanted to--to just laugh at the futility of everything. The fact that it knew it was all over, that there was no chance for him to come back from this. The bow was knocked from its hands, and then it was all over--it took a split second--so fast that the Neon Archer didn't know what was happening. Its head was cleaved by both of the strikes simultaneously and its life ended before it could make a noise. Its body fell limp--hitting the ground in front of it, and then it burst into code--the strands hovering for a moment before they made their way into the aperture opening of Acel's chest, absorbing into the Code Core and feeding Midas yet again with more of the A.I. sustenance. This battle was over.

As the Neon Archer fell, Acel was overwhelmed by sudden relief. He had actually done it--he had managed to win the fight--he had actually pulled through and defeated three A.I. on his own with literally no backup. There was a sensation that it gave him, like he was on top of the world, but at the same time, he knew that he had no time to celebrate. "Well, you can still celebrate, man, you just have to move while you do it. It's not something you can just wait around about, but you can be happy while you're going and getting that damn kid, no?" Acel laughed to himself, his body exhausted, but a good kind of exhaustion. He had accomplished something that took everything in him to do, and now he was going home and would be prepared to take the next step as a baiter. He nodded mentally, agreeing with Midas that he could enjoy the moment as much as he wanted or needed, and he got his a** in gear as he started a light jog toward the tree-line. When he got there, he noticed the kid not too far in. His breathing was shallow, but he was still breathing. He was conscious, but his eyes were lolled to the side, and they didn't seem to be any sort of moving around. He was perfectly still as he breathed--he was on the foot of deaths door. It had taken Acel a long time to get there, and he didn't have that kind of time now. He couldn't wait to run back to the beacon and get teleported out of there. The kid might not actually last that long. "I know what you're thinking, and no. We can't do it. You will die if you pull me out of your body for that long. And you're too weak to carry him yourself right now.""Well, if I can't have you do it, I am pretty sure I can't just leave him here and hope for the best. Give me all the strength you've got..I'm going to need it."
Acel grunted as he leaned down and picked the boy up, carrying him in his arms. The kid was probably about sixteen or eighteen years old--relatively new to the organization, and he weighed almost nothing. The kid had been on the verge of death for some time now, and it was as if his body was wasting away. Acel held him close to his chest, immediately breaking into a sprint through the woods, carrying the boy through the forest and into the opening, and then through the battlefield and onward. Acel didn't slow--not for a second--not until he managed to make it to the beacon zone, where they had started. His body was killing him, and he realized that he had completely forgotten that he was in a gravitational zone. His body had been weighted for the entire duration of that battle and he had barely even recognised that it was different--when he realized it now, it made sense why the boy had been so motionless--he couldn't move his body in such a weakened state! But, either way, Acel was already pulling out the shiny, golden badge that he had been given, and he focused on it, activating the code within the start the beacon that would tell B.A.I.T.R HQ that he needed his evacuation. He felt the warmth of his body beginning to vibrate into the frequency that they were attaching to him, and within moments, he, and the boy he was carrying were being blasted through the portal room, and back to B.A.I.T.R HQ.
