Tassos hadn't thought to offer a name. It was rare that he spoke, if at all. He kept his stories simple and short to his grandchildren. They generally got the idea easily enough as their imaginations ran wild and usually engaged their own ideas into the stories themselves. They were good to remember which parts he told and which they added though.

But his grandchildren weren't here! And though he worried about them a lot lately, he thought it best to remain on the task at hand.

He gave a curt nod in response. "Tassos." he offered simply, though it was quiet. Hopefully it would be proof that he preferred to not talk too much. Perhaps if it was necessary, he'd talk more, but for the moment words weren't a necessity. He turned towards the nearest hallway then and began looking around for any clues.

He inspected the walls and floor closely. It was obvious the temple had seen some neglect, but he could also tell there was efforts being made to restore it to it's former glory. It didn't stop him from taking closer looks at any odd marks or scratches though.

Amaya nodded, she didn't mind that he wasn't the chatty type. She followed along with him searching for clues and keeping an eye out for anyone they might be able to interview. Amaya figured she would do the interviews since clearly Tassos didn't like talking much. There had to be something here to give them more of an idea who it was shot the love, romance or whatever the heck this god had been, full of arrows. Amaya had heard that some of the gods could be arrogant jerks but was that really a reason to murder someone? "Do you know anything about the god who was kill?? Anything about his friends or enemies?" she asked her partner.

User ImageThe young Goddess of Reflection hefted a sigh while watching pae after pae come strolling in to the temple to help with the investigation. How could mortals succeed where gods couldn't? It made no sense to her. Perched atop one of the broken pillars, her wings fluttered nervously because Grandm- oops, Venus, was not present. The fit Venus threw in her dressing room was distressing to the Younger Grace. "Begone! Leave me be!" ... Venus had never been so cruel to her! She sighed again.

"Venus was just stressed. It was nothing." she whispered while glancing around the growing crowd.

Aliza leaned back slightly to sit on her bottom and she tucked her wings down close so she could listen better to what the mortals were saying. Mostly they were introducing each other. Shansa was here. Looks like maybe Venus had cast her off too.

Aliza relented to her curiosity and looked to her mirror. Like Venus, her mirror could show what happens in this temple, among other things. Watching the images of the celebration, she moved the mirror as if she was looking through a magnifying glass. She stopped on the spot Adonis died and watched. It was a painful scene, watching Venus lose her beloved. The Younger Grace started crying, grieving all over again for the pain her grandmother felt and the loss felt all across the land.

Ares' arrival was too convenient. Something about Ares' posture bothered her. She wiped away the tears with the back of her hand. Movement in the mirror right before she pulled it down, caught her attention. "Oh ... My ... Gosh!" Her wings buzzed as she grew anxious. "Someone else was there!"

Tassos had taken to inspecting even the smallest things. Cracks in the floor, grain patterns in frames along the walls and doors. Silly tedious things, but one would never know without at least looking.

He paused as he stood, listening as his chosen partner asked him something. He was quiet a moment, contemplating how to answer without coming across as a grumpy old man. He was far from grumpy. It was something that worried him often. He didn't mind friends and company. He just often came across as grumpy at his lack of effort in appearing to care when he truly did.

He turned, lifting a brow to the demoness at her query. Did he know of the God and who his friends and enemies were? Sadly, he did not. Still it was not a bad question to be asking others. Perhaps his partner would be better at finding out such information than he would. He turned his gaze to the small gathering of Dieties nearby and pointed to the group. "Ask them." he spoke - almost dryly - though hoped it didn't come off as rude as he returned to his crude and detailed peering at walls and floors.

He even turned to the decor down the hallway as he went too. Tables. Chairs. Vases. Pictures. Flowers. Anything. He looked at them all very closely and very slowly made his ways into the hallway and onward.

Amaya didn't mind him being an old grump, the combo kinda amused her. Young rooky and old timer cop sort of thing. So Amaya nodded and went over to where she heard one of the goddesses exclaim "Someone else was there!!" Amaya looked up the pillar at the young goddess and said "I'm guessing you don't know who, though?? Well can you tell me who his friends and enemies were if you know?"

His brother's alarmed response nearly brought a smile to his face. However, he'd gotten the reaction he wanted; he wasn't trying to prompt his anxious twin into a panic attack. With a soft chuckle, Himeros released Pothos' shoulder and backed away to give him space, but not enough that his whispers couldn't be heard.

"Well, if her intentions are to chuck arrows about willy-nilly, then yes, I suppose she has succeeded," he mused aloud. What is she up to?

Any quiet reflections were soon interrupted. Immediately the lust god plastered a wide grin onto his face by reflex, upon seeing the lovely lady Fae. Wait...she just...stumbled in here? No idea what was going on? Strange even for mortals. "What are they here for? Good question, my dear. Maybe we could start with why you're here...what can Himeros do for you?"

He'd just reached out towards the lovely lady when someone else less welcome joined the group: his beloved sister. Great. His eyes narrowing in response, he met her greeting with a snort and a deadpanned stare. "...Harmonia." He didn't answer her question honestly, instead returning one of his own. "Find something....interesting over there in the bushes, did you?"

He would have said something else, but his attempts to glare a hole through her forehead were interrupted by a collision. He had not one, but two pretty ladies tumbling into him now! "Woah now! Plenty of me to go around, ladies," he said, opening his arms to catch them while taking a step back.

Shansa was watching the crowd as they began to start looking for clues, when her sister came over.

Feeling the nudge on her arm she smiled a bit, although it seemed tinged with sadness. She was glad that they where there for each other during all this.

"Thanks Seneca."

Kaarina was intrigued by the fact that Hjortur had been at the party, someone who had witness the crime would surly be helpful in figuring it out.

She wasn't surprised to find out the murder happened near the end, something like that would surely ruin the mood of any party.

"That sounds like a good place to start. Lead the way Hjortur."

Himeros' reaction prompted a pause and a brief collapse of a smile. Taking a deep inhale through the nose she calmed herself and placed the smile back on. Honestly this was her family and she could even maintain harmony with them? Was she taking after her other aunt a little too much? Once Venus was better, it might be time for a little talk just being around this disharmony was vexing.

Still, had to keep trying, "There is no need for that, dear Himeros." What was he talking about? Looking around the goddess tried to place just what he was accusing her of. It had to be the arrow but no one was supposed to see that. Apparently she should have gotten here earlier, but that ran the risk of someone not investigating finding the clue. Goddess of Stealth and Subtlety thy name was Harmonia.

Shifting her wings she responded, "Well, arrows were used, and it certainly energized some of them. There is no harm in a reminder, so long as Mother doesn't see it. Have you a better clue to help the mortals, brother?" Did they know something she didn't? Probably, closer to Eros surely.

It was safer near Pothos, one too many girls attaching themselves to her brother like a magnet. Couldn't even manage a smile for her yet all to happy for those mortal? A little lack of harmony might do all those mortals some good.

User ImageCaoimhe nodded at her sister's words. "As perfectly beautiful as you are my Dear Sister." She offered, returning a compliment to Lillibeth. The answer to her questions had of course, caused a frown. "The arrow is truly the only clue we have to go off of? No wonder She is so upset." Caoimhe shook her head. She was determined to help find the murderer, but it looked like she was off to a terrible start.

A brightly colored fae was approaching as they conversed, catching Caoimhe's eye. Shiny and bright things were always fun to look at. "Sister, one of the bobbles is near." She smiled, using Lillibeth's endearment for the pae that Venus was so fond of. Caoimhe preferred to think of them as shiny pae, though she wouldn't voice that aloud. "Can we help you Dear?" Her words were directed at the strangely shiny fae.

Iordanes' heart had given a little leap when Serendipity had graced the doorway. Had she come to see him? His expression darkened. He wouldn't be able to entertain her; he had to focus on the investigation going on. He himself had had no real attachment to Adonis, but he hadn't been a bad fellow, and the grief his death was causing Mother was intolerable. So no dalliances. He had to focus.

But she was talking to Himeros! A pang of jealousy flooded him before he hurriedly tamped it down. If she wanted to have a go with Himeros, that was her own decision. Besides, he rationalized, Himeros had to focus on the matter at hand as well! Iordanes screwed up his face as his brother "caught" a girl in his arms. Yeah, that wasn't gonna stop him. Maybe he did have time for dalliances.

Iordanes casually strolled over and leaned on Himeros' shoulder as he had been leaning on Pothos'. "Look at you, you're a girl magnet no matter the situation!" he teased, shaking his head. Then, as if just noticing Serendipity, he widened his eyes and smiled. "What a pleasant surprise to see you here, my dear!" he exclaimed, leaving Himeros and taking Serendipity's hands. He'd lead her away if she'd let him.

He had presented Venus with two swans to celebrate her union with Adonis, a blessing in hopes of a long union. A union that had been cut short by his murder. Lannister had never been in love, but he could understand his grandmother's grievances. He had seen too many swans lose their soulmates to the darkness and watched their light extinguish in grief. He would do his best to find out what had happened.

Did Lannister really want to find out who the murderer was? It was likely, to him, that it was one of the deity. The answer could tear the family apart. However, it was clear to him as he entered the temple that this was already the case. The place had seen better days for certain. His aunts and uncles were already gathered, perhaps it was best to find out what each of them knew first. Surely they knew something that would point him in the right direction, maybe they had just missed it.

After it was suggested that they partner up, Lannister noticed that many were following this advice. He was so used to working alone though. He glanced around the room, feeling slightly awkward looking for help, but the quiet male knew he needed it.

Selah did love a good mystery. She'd found out about the invitation to help solve the murder of Adonis because she'd gone to visit the temple for the first time ever. As she'd grown older, details surrounding her and her brother's birth had begun to emerge, and it seemed that this temple had played an integral part in their fathers' getting together. It was a piece of her history! But if even the deities needed help...how could she not?

And so she'd arrived at the determined time and day, ready to observe everything and put the pieces together. She surveyed the room, taking inventory of everyone present. Her fathers had described all the deities to her, and she recognized a few from their stories. They sure were hands--

"YOU!"

Selah jumped, startled practically to death, by a mohawked angel waving an arrow just inches from her nose. "Son of a fishwife!" she exclaimed, then clapped a hand over her mouth. She took a deep breath and tried to calm her racing heart. "I see it just fine, thanks," she said, trying to turn away, only to find that the woman was in her face again. "Suspicious?" she repeated. The only behavior she found suspicious so far was this woman's over-the-top "sleuthing". Maybe she should hang around her, just in case...

"I suppose it could be," she said, gently pushing the hand with the arrow down. "Where do you think it came from?" she asked.

Haku gave a sordid sigh before he meandered into the thick of things. HE had sincerely been hoping to escape interacting with people today. He thought there were better things to do than to find a darn murderer. If someone had the cahones big enough to murder a God, then he sure as hell didn't wanna mess with that person.

Giving his little cacti, in it's hand made pot, another slight adjustment over his hip, he waltzed foward and waited for someone to notice him. HE was not about to start this party off by being friendly toward anybody.

He was LATE. He had just finished the final touches on his new dectective cloak, which he thought was the upmost important thing that was needed when solving a murder mystery, and had lost track of the time. He barely had time to finish the Hat and find the accessories. Then he had to use his powers to get here, only to forget that he couldn't take accessories with him and had needed to find his magnifying glass and pipe AGAIN before arriving.

Now he was LATE. Rushing into the fray, he swung between the people gathered before he came to a halting stop before a small group.

Then he simply stopped to catch his breath.

Kleta, goddess of fame, was fingering the tip of her spear as she sat at her alter watching the mortals wander in to help solve the mystery of Adonis' untimely death. It was about time they put a wrap on this and brought the killer to light.

She had been unable to solve it herself and had merely arrived at a dead end, but that did not mean she didn't have opinions on the matter.

The green goddess watched Harmonia curiously as she dropped the arrow on the ground, one that was quickly snatched up by one of the mortals. The gesture seemed odd, pointing fingers perhaps? Reminding the mortals that it was arrows that pierced Adonis in the back. She stood up, walking like a soldier towards her siblings.

Pelagious finally caught his breath and began to peruse his surroundings. When he heard they had to pair up, he quickly scanned the crowd for someone only to be found wanting in the partner department. It was only after wandering through the various people did he notice someone standing off to the side.

Putting a little pep in his step, he quickly raced over and attempted to grab onto the stranger's hands. "Name's Pelagious" he annouced, with a small flourish of his hat at the end. "I'm here to solve the crime. Though I am in need of a partner. Every good crime is solved by more than one perosn. Do you have someone? If not, I propose that we get together and begin." he quickly announced glancing around for someone to come steal his new Watson, all the while forgetting he was still shaking the poor guy's hand.

While looking around, he noticed a familiar green and silver goddess stalking her way toward a large group of people. Unable to believe his luck, he quickly dropped his new Watson's hand and pointed at the stoic female marching her way across the floor. "I KNOW HER!! " he shouted, excitement already going to his brain. "Come, er...Whatever your name is! We must follow her and find out what is afoot!"
