Austin stared back at James -- who, at this point, seemed all too excited about this. The problem was, he looked a bit...stumped. And besides, he thought maybe he was approaching the end of his questions, only a few left.

Well. This was the end. Might as well go all in.

James jumped out of his seat and cheered. "FOLKS, WE HAVE A WINNER!"

Okay, so he would have made more coins from remaining the Undefeated Champion of Twenty Questions, but losing to a cute, smart guy was a pretty decent consolation prize.

"Thanks for playing," he added, chinhandsing into the sunset.

Those lips tho.

He sat for a moment, head cocked to one side, mouth hanging open, before Austin fully understood that he had won. Not that the prize was a whole lot, but it was still weirdly satisfying: weirdly exciting even. All at once he grinned, and held out a hand for James to slap as he rose up to stand with his [pointless] winnings.

"You almost got me, though, I think."
