"Okay, okay, the s**t disturber is leaving," said Chance, holding up both hands in a gesture of submission. "I'll leave you to your soda and your lack of double dateage and your room with a view and all of your Finntastic things, right?"
He grinned, bent down, and pecked Ripley's forehead affectionately.
"Later, you white haired b*****d," said Chance airily, cheekily, and waved a hand behind him as he slipped out. He paused on the threshold, turned back, and gave a genuine smile to the other man, both hands now tucked into his pockets.
"Thanks," he said, with a little nod. "I'm glad we talked."

"Thank you." his voice gracious, even as he was kicking Chance out for being a complete s**t. He even went as far as to offer a small frown at the forehead peck, and so nicely resisted the urge to continue to be a p***k and wipe the gesture away. He managed, the gesture stayed, and then it became too much of a chore to keep frowning over it.
"Not too soon I hope, you s**t-disturbing jackass." Still, he clapped the younger man's upper arm in good faith, even if the gesture made it seem like he was shooing him out faster. The fact that he refused to leave was protested with a small, unhappy grunt that was all for show.
"Me too." He said sincerely, offering one more ghost of a smile. All joking aside, it was good to clear the air. "Take care."
