"Sure." Taavi accepted the necklace and lifted it around Sasha's neck. It was a lot easier to do the clasp when you could see it, it only took a moment to fasten, but he lingered with his fingertips on Sasha's soft pale skin for a couple more. He felt like he wanted to say something but he didn't actually have any idea what and so he said; "There, done!" and stepped back to perch on his stool again. "So ah, what happens now? You cast the coins?"

Lex scooted onto a stool and played with the necklace for a few moments, eyes half lidded and then took up the coins. "Mmhm. " He cast the coins a total of six times recording the lines.
8, 7, 9, 8, 7,7, open line, solid line, solid old line, open line, solid line, and solid line.
"Which means your Primary Hexagram is made out of the Trigram Penetrating. The bottom would turn into Gorge, in the reflecting." Lex gave a soft noise of thought. "Penetrating is the wood and wind spirit, it is subtle and gentle and brings things to maturity."
"Gorge is the spirit of rushing water, it is full of energy, a push forward, it can not be stopped but it is also carries risks."

"Humm, well that sounds positive? Heh, and I'm not one to avoid a few risks so that's okay." Since the age of sixteen his life had mainly comprised risky decisions that had seemed like a good idea at the time, though whether they were or not in retrospect varied a whole lot. "So this is like... a general fortune, prediction sort of thing?"

"Mmhm, so the hexagram would be Gently Penetrating for your main and Dispersing for the Reflecting." Lex muttered, sketching them both out on the page.
"The Reflecting is a time to eliminate misunderstands, illusions, clear away obstacles.. to start a project or enterprise.. to go on an achieve something, it is scattering." Lex tapped it slightly. "Possibly this could represent your journey here."
"The primary, is wind and support and foundation, it a start of growing and finding self and being adaptive and being subtle and travel with lack of place to say but to adopt and hold out for things will balance out."
"So this could read a great risk brought you here, but you will adapt to it and managed to find yourself and grow if slowly." Lex finished.

Hokaaaaay, he was just going to ignore how suggestive that was. It kind of put his accidental innuendo with the glasses to shame. "Well I like the sound of that," Taavi said with a smile when Sasha finished explaining the fortune. "I'd like to hope that I can find my feet here, a decent job, a better place to live, and friends and... stuff." What was Sasha here as? A friend, or something else? Their last meeting - their first meeting - had turned out a bit more than friendly, when he'd woken up the next day he'd been a bit worried that he'd come on too strong. Way too strong. He probably shouldn't have had the third cider, maybe not the second one either, but it didn't seem like Sasha had been put off.

"If it helps the actual names would be Sun and Huan. Less umm.. suggestive then some of the English translations ended as." It wasn't as if Lex had got to name them.
"Do you want me to keep going?" he asked, swinging his feet lightly. "I have two more hexagrams I could translate if you want me to."

"Haha, well you can't help how they translate," Taavi replied with a shrug, kind of glad that it wasn't just him that'd noticed... though probably anyone over the age of twelve would have noticed that one unless they were seriously sheltered. "But I like the original names. Um, and sure, what are the other ones?" Gently penetrating! Seriously! Who'd even done those translations?

"Your opposite spirit would be Shake, the Thunder Spirit, who stirs things up, and can disturb. The hexagram is Shake, or Chen and it is arousal, inspiration, a wake up call, a shock, an alarm it is terrible and exciting and has a lot of possibilities to get carried away."
"Hidden would be..." Lex paused rearranging the lines into a new Hexagram. "Ahh, the spirits Radiance and Open. Radiance is the spirit of fire, of light and warmth. It sees and understands. Open is the spirit of open water, it is friendly and joyous and stimulates and creates good feelings."
"Together that would be... Diverging. K'uei. Things are in discord, things are opposed but to look at what connects and separates. It is a time to get things together and to understand."
"So, take your time and don't force things. They will come to you in time,"Lex finished. "Least that is what I'm getting at the moment."

Now arousal as well? Whoever'd written these things out must have been seriously in need of getting some. Taavi sipped his wine and ate a few of the spicy nuts while Sasha talked, nodding along at appropriate intervals.
When the fortune appeared to have finished Taavi smiled and gave another nod. "Well that sounds like good advice in general but, heh, some reassurance is nice. Do you do your own fortune often, or ask questions?" He wasn't into fortune telling himself as probably shown by his complete lack of knowledge just then but he certainly asked for help and guidance from appropriate Legendaries which he supposed wasn't all that different? Well actually it was different but they were both sort of... uh... well, beliefs that.... Yeah he didn't really know where he was going with that thought, and he was glad he hadn't said it aloud.

[Double post due to Gaia weirdness XD Using this post to fill in what we did while Gaia was dead.]
"Occasionally, its good practice and sometimes I use it to track changes.” Lex played with his coins, stacking them before untieing the cord around his wrist. “Don’t ask a lot of question, since you never can be sure how the answer going to fall. Spirits think things differently than we do.” He strung the coins back onto the cord and reached up to retie it. “Ooh, hehe, want to reclaim your necklace? Before I forget I’m wearing it?”
“Yes please,” Taavi replied, moving around behind Sasha to undo the clasp; he felt kind of naked without the totem and was glad to fasten it around his own neck again. “Do you get different kinds of spirits?” he asked as he settled back on his stool, hands clasping around his glass so that he didn’t start fiddling with his hair or anything. “Like, would some of them mess with you rather than give you proper answers? Oh! Ah, and are you comfortable here or would you like to sit on the couch?” It did feel kind of weird that kitchen, living room, and bedroom was all shoved in together, doubly weird now he actually had a guest over. Maybe he could get curtains on a rail to close off his ‘bedroom’ section? It all felt very exposed but claustrophobic at the same time.
“Sometimes. A lot of it matters on what is going on in my life. When I got injured, my readings after had changed from what I had expected to get. Less that they would toy and more that things that we might consider rather important, they wouldn’t. Or they view it different.” Lex gave a hum of thought and gave a tiny shrug.
“I’m not minding being out here, couch, kitchen counter… it just sort of nice talking to you. Can do that on the couch if you want? Or you can give me a tour. Though I think that would be over a bit quick.”
“Um, well, grand tour it is then!” Taavi laughed, sliding off his stool and turning to face the wall with the oven and microwave. “This is the attractive kitchen/diningroom, perfect for hosting a maximum of two people because there are only two stools. Over here,” Taavi turned and walked the couple of paces over to the couch, “we have the um... let’s call it the cosy living room. It has a couch, and there’s a TV over there! Which isn’t hooked up at the minute but it can be an art piece or something. Around here,” Taavi moved around behind the couch, “is the uh... the minimalist bedroom. Very minimal. And in there,” he pointed to the only other door in the place, “is the bathroom, that has no bath so it’s ironic right? It does have its own shower though, I was looking at once place where there was a shared bathroom but I thought, no, I’m not quite that desperate yet! Ha.” Taavi turned back to Sasha and shrugged. “So, yep, that was the very brief tour. There’s a nice view though, and I get two because I’m on a corner of the building so it could be worse.”
“Shared bathrooms are awful, but not having a bathroom in your room is worse. Wait… are you talking connected, roommates share the bathroom or more sort of public bathrooms are on this floor, not in your room?” Lex questioned. “One is worse than the other.” He had dealt with both. “Least you have a view being this far up.”
“Does your bathroom also have its own sink? I’ve stayed in a few places were the only sink was in the kitchen and the bathroom was right across it and hehe, that was always a bit awkward to get use to.”
“Ah, not in this building,” Taavi said, shaking his head as he wandered back to the couch and sat down with one leg folded up underneath himself, fingers idly toying his his necklace. “It was a different block I was looking at, all single rooms that just had a sink in them with a couple of bathrooms per floor. My bathroom’s got sink, toilet and shower luckily. The place with the shared bathrooms was really cheap but,” he grimaced, “it didn’t feel like somewhere I’d ever really feel comfortable. This place is bad enough but... well at least when I come in I can lock the door and not have to worry about going back out until I leave again, I wouldn’t really want to wait to use the bathroom behind some of the other people living here. Ha. A lot of them don’t seem to have any volume other than ‘scream’ and their TVs are just as loud.” The shouting was the worst, whoever lived in the place above him had serious relationship issues that they had to share with the world, usually late at night. Why didn’t they just split up? The sound of hate and bitterness coming down through his ceiling made him feel sick.
“I ah, I fixed the place up a bit though!” Taavi continued with a slightly wan smile as he realised he was being a bit of a downer, and that was definitely not what Sasha had asked for. “Re-hung all the kitchen cupboards, the hinges were all bust so they were at a weird angle, sanded down the bathroom door where it was sticking, and there was some damp to deal with in the bathroom and over by the bed. Fresh painted now!”

Lex followed along, leaning across the back of the couch, head tipped as he listened to Taavi, and casually swung his hands around Taavi’s chest in a relaxed hug. “The people around you suck and it looks good… well, as good as you can make it without spending a lot of money,” he murmured, “So, do you want to do something?”

Oh, hug? Okay, that was unexpected but nice. After an initial small start of surprise Taavi sighed out some tension and relaxed, tilting his head backwards to look up at Sasha and letting his necklace drop back against his chest in favour of touching Sasha's hand. "Something?" he asked, trying to guess what sort of something Sasha meant. It wasn't like he had a lot of entertainment in here.... So yeah he had a fair guess of what Sasha might mean but again, he really didn't want to presume anything and make a fool of himself or annoy Sasha or something.

"We could take a walk around the town, let you show me your neighborhood. Maybe grab a few things for dinner... or desert." Lex tipped his head, letting their hair mesh. "Mmhm, window shopping can be fun."

Oh, going out? That wasn't where he'd thought Sasha was heading but it sounded good to him. "Oh, sure!" Taavi replied, brightening up at the prospect of getting out of the apartment and transferring his fiddling fingers to Sasha's floofy soft hair as he talked. "I will show you... not around my neighbourhood because it sucks but we could maybe go over to the park? Valour can take us there if I can catch his eye, or we can walk if not though it'll take a little while. I think there are some nice shops near there too, we could buy 'what I'd buy if I was rich'. Grabbing dessert would be good too and ah... do you eat Pidgey? Because if not we might want to get you something for dinner as well to go with vegetables."

"I'll eat about anything," Lex admitted, shifting to let Taavi better access to his hair. He wasn't opposed to eating them, though he hadn't more because he had never had a reason to. His Ariados and Sneasel certainly like their eggs. "The park sounds nice. Find something sweet.
