Aquamarine yawned tiredly and adjusted his position on the bench, casually glancing around the platform to check for any sign that their mission might be ill-fated. So far everything seemed to be going according to plan.

Which was just as well for Aquamarine. He'd rather not have to fight anyone of the White Moon if he could help it. If they could just stay out of it long enough for the mission to conclude, Aquamarine would be satisfied with a job well done.

Of course, no action meant he was bored, and boredom meant his eyes kept following after Jet, watching as the newly minted Captain approached another officer of equal rank. A part of Aquamarine was curious as to what might be passing between them—he recognized the other officer from one of their prisoner's cells during the battle that ended their New Years kidnappings—but he wasn't interested enough to find out for himself.

If anything, he'd just ask Jet later.

He made sure to keep any eye on them, though, just incase his help might be needed.

He might be angry about Jet's promotion, but he felt a shred of loyalty toward him nonetheless.

Anabel looked up at the girl and nodded. "Anabel," she said. "Yeah, I recognize you. Please excuse me if I don't stand up - I don't want to lose my seat, and I have... a medical condition."

Not that Lily was looking too great herself. Anabel recalled someone with less gauntness in her cheeks and more luster in her curls. "I can, however, try to offer you a seat," she said, scooting over and trying to make room for one more person on the bench. She had sympathy for the ill, at the very least, though she wasn't going to ask Lily what was going on with her.

"It's disgusting in here, isn't it?" she asked conversationally. "Too hot. Too humid. Too many bodies packed into one place..." she trailed off, glancing around the platform. Her eyes narrowed in suspicion. "There are an awful lot of people here who aren't dressed for the weather, wouldn't you say?"

Umber's approach came as an utter delight for the general, who was just as antsy and bored as he was. Any little distraction would have been met with gratitude in that moment, but the captain was by far one of her favorites. She flashed h an away wicked grin as he came to stand beside him, and slid just a little along the wall to better hear and be heard in low tones.

And if it was a reprieve to the bathroom he was after, she's have been happy to give it, though for certain their plans upon reaching a more secluded area differed greatly.

"Would that I could," she purred lowly up at him, gaze flicking out over the platform again. "Much as I would love to get things moving along into something more entertaining and worthwhile, I try not to trod on the orders of other generals." Try. If the orders were acceptable. If they were not, if the plans or delegations were less than questionable, she had no problem going againt them. As of yet, Brimstone was doing nothing that begged interference from her.

At the very least she could offer her captain a small measure of distraction. "You look more uncomfortable than usual in pants." Considering the heat, the layers, she didn't blame him. Xenotime was damn near sweating herself.

Leucite hung back for the moment. There was very little he could do with is uniform that didn't scream Negaverse, but at least his coat made it a bit less obvious. Still, he'd thrown one of his larger jackets over his uniform top, but it did little to help except make him feel more bulky and he really just wanted to take it off. But this was about blending in as best you could and far be it from him to ruin that.

He currently occupied one of the benches on the platform, trying to play up the glory day veteran angle that his outfit seemed to scream at the moment. Yes, just ignore the try hard on the bench - don't pay him any mind at all.

He just hoped things wouldn't go pear shaped too quickly, but he was prepared for the worst.

The voice that reached him was vaguely familiar, Aurostibite turning his head slowly, eyes falling on the young man stepping up beside him. He flicked his gaze over him, assessing the power signature and appearance before he said quietly, "I wouldn't know, I apologize for my lack of help."

There was a sharp edge to the tone of his voice that clearly indicated he had no intention of trusting the newly promoted Captain either. Aurostibite had gone back to staring out among the crowds, silent and brooding momentarily before he spoke again.

"If you have something of consequence to do or say, then try doing it instead of merely making baseless threats," he said, voice just as low as Jet's. "There are plenty of people stuck waiting, why not try and pull a few starseeds while you're at it?"

He gestured at the ones by the turnstiles, clustered together, a look of irritation passing briefly over Aurostibite's face.

"I'm going to see if I can't get into the office," he said flatly. "Feel free to join me - if you feel capable, that is."

The last part was a deliberate dig; Aurostibite had not forgotten the incident at New Year's either, and he needed to focus on maintaining the image he'd so carefully cultivated over the past several years. He stepped towards the office, shifting silently through the crowds, posture surprisingly relaxed in spite of his normal stiff tenseness.

A gloved hand brushed across the door, and then he was fiddling with the knob, testing if it was locked.

"Oh, yes Anabel," she said before giving the girl a half grin. "Sorry I am usually better with names. I've had a rough few months." It was more like 8 months, but she figured that information wasn't very needed.

Lily was happy to sit, though she frowned at the mention of a medical condition and wondered what it was, but didn't want to pry. It wasn't entirely necessary, it did a little to keep her from being bumped, as she just was. She turned and frowned at the person before looking back to Anabel, "yes, seems like a very busy afternoon, though I don't often ride the train so I don't know the usual."

The mentioned of oddly dressed people made her frown intensely, but once it was mentioned it was far more apparent. She sighed and almost rolled her eyes, "Yes, it still August and it not cool in here. Air condition can only to so much for so many bodies in one place. You know some people are just crazy though, but this is Destiny City so we should probably keep our eyes open."

She looked off to the side around more closely and noticed some familiar faces in the crowd, then looked at Anabel. "Some others from lasor tag and stuff are here, at least. Maybe we should go say hi," she said with a .

"That's a same beautifuls." Jarias sighed, "It's not often that you find amazons like myself." She didn't really want to let Ariel go without offering her number but at the same time....

"I'm Jarias." She smiled widely, "I hope we didn't keep you from your friend Ariel, but I can also say that I am sort of glad we did. You are gorgeous hun."

To Aitana, she laughed and nodded, "It is a weird place to look for sure, but if you aren't looking, you aren't trying." She tucked her hands in her pockets, though she did have that urge to touch the shoulder of both women. They both had gorgeous forms and it was just...

"I would rather see it as passing time with two hot women." Jarias tilted, "We've got a long wait, it feels like. Do you play sports?" She pointed to the leaner form of Aitana's, "You've got one hell of a build for it."

Wither stood every annoyed because he was getting rather hot with the hoodie he wore to cover the top of his uniform. It would only draw attention to him because it made him looks like a modern circus ringmaster and stealth was a desire thing today.

He groaned and tried not to fan himself, wishing for the moment he could take it off and take his current frustrations out on a magic slinger. He sighed, the war was annoying and his social life was suffering for it. He had better things to do this evening, like bugging Alex, or teasing Mitry or even photography homework with Harmony.

Well at least he might get to smash someones face. Only good thing about SURPRISE NEGAVERSE! Thanks again Beni. Whatever. He rolled his shoulders and stuck his hands in his pockets. He was really just annoyed because he was hot. He did want to rid the world all the got damn magic slingers.

Pyro stared at the person who dared to address him. He was, standing out of the way. He was leaning on a wall, minding his own business. This guy, was ******** lucky they hadn't been given the okay otherwise he'd be dipping his hand in that weak a** chest and ganking a starseed. Since he couldn't do that, he opted for really hateful and mean words. Cause he didn't take kindly to being called out for no reason.

"Look's who talking you ******** creepo." Pyro waved his hand, "I'm out of the ******** way, but since you obviously got some wall to go through, Let me move out of your way. I hope its some harry potter magical s**t for you, and sends you to 9 3/4, because you are 3/4 of brain power."

He snickered.

"Sorry you can't handle heat, some of us, are a bit chilly in here." He ******** hated this kid already. "Why don't you go mind your mommy kid and get out of my face?"

Jet’s eyes remained narrowed on the older officer, and one with more experience, but obviously one with questionable loyalties. He didn’t like how the other spoke to him, and much less did he like how he more or less dismissed him as unimportant.

“It’s too crowded. I would draw too much attention if I tried doing that. Unless you suggested that so I would set myself up to be caught? Is that what you want? For me to be the one to botch the operation?” he said in almost a growl, but his expression eased to one of confusion when the other offered to join him--

And he went right back to glaring at the comment about him being capable. The moment he thought the other would surprise him, he was quickly reminded that Aurostibite was, in fact, an a*****e.

“Of course I’m capable,” he hissed, following the other captain towards the office, trying to take on the role of looking as though he was some kid who was lost and needed help looking for his parents or something to that effect.

“You don’t even have a key for it?” he asked in exasperation and a groan. It figures...

Aquamarine wasn't the only one a little... ok, he'd use the word "uncertain" extremely, extremely loosely on this, when it came to Jet's promotion. Seraphinite wasn't bitter--in a sense, he was actually pretty damn proud of his little friend for managing to get his a** up to Captain. The kid earned it. But considering how Jet seemed more puffed up than a turkey that should otherwise be trying to mind its business around Thanksgiving....

The teen sighed, shaking his head a little to brush aside the bangs that hung over his eyes. Instead of putting on the layers--no seriously, why did so many people do this? They looked ridiculous in the summer--Seraphinite had gone a different route. He'd pulled off his heavy military styled jacket, shoving it into a bag he had slung over his shoulder and tossing on a dark green camo tank top that went along with his military pants and boots from his uniform. His weapons were also shoved into his bag along with the holsters for them he usually had slung onto his belt. Large headphones sat around his neck, attached to the phone he poked at in his hand. He'd taken his hair out of the ponytail it seemed to always pop into when he powered up, figuring he might as well do all he can to look like your average high school punk.

Though he was keeping an eye on Jet as he approached the other Captain--one whom Seraphinite remembered quite distinctly--it was towards Aquamarine his boots thunked towards. "Hey, sorry to bug you, got the time for the next train? Reception's s**t down here for the app," he added on a grumble, trying to flick through the legit shitty app he did usually try to use when he was attempting to figure out the train schedule. It was random chatter to pass the time.

If Aquamarine wanted to drop the 'we're strangers whatever' act, that was fine by him. Otherwise, he was playing good little soldier and just waiting for when s**t was supposed to start.

Chris just shook his head in exasperation when Paris commented on what he’d said. He choose not to counter her, because he was sure that would just lead to even more awkward comments.

Instead, he snorted at her mention of wanting to be in a flash mob and shook his head. “Well, they do all look like they’re waiting for something,” he pointed out, although there was something strange about how many of them glanced around the place. What were they waiting for? Chris checked his watch to see if there was any significant time approaching, like an hour mark, but that didn’t give him any clues.

“But don’t think I’ll join in…” he reminded her, really not waiting to have to dance… talk about embarrassing.

Benji's eyebrows raised up as high as they could go mostly impressed by the words this older dude was dishing out. He wasn't about to let him get all up in his face with his stupid Harry Potter references though! He knew them too, and with a grin, he skated closer, looking up at the Older man's face.

"Oh, so you wanna get all jerkish because you know I'm right. Mommy ain't here, ******** face, so how about you waddiwasi that stick out of your a** and realize you look suspicious as hell up in here. Someone's gonna mistake you for some sort of freaky as hell magic man or something." Though.. it wasn't as if Benji wasn't a 'freaky as hell magic man himself. "And yeah, you are in my way, so Mobiliarbus your self out of my goddamned way before i Confringo your a**!"

Perhaps being even more nerdy wasn't the best way to win an argument, but there was no way in hell he was going to say 'dude, nice insults!' Naw, he had to dish them back out even better!

It had taken a few moments of rummaging to locate the book, but the search had also ended up yielding a bottle of lemonade and some cookies.

After considering the cookies thoughtfully for a few moments, Arian slipped the cookies back into his rucksack, figuring that it was best to leave it for when he was finally on the train.

He'd been in the process of reaching back in to grab the book and lemonade when he heard a voice speak up from behind him.

He turned, hand on top of the rucksack to keep it sort of closed, a query in his eyes as it belatedly occurred to him that she was addressing him, but when it sunk in what she was asking for he looked back and down at his bag and sure enough there was a book with a blue cover caught up against it.

"Sure," he said quietly as he zipped up his rucksack because it was kind of awkward holding it semi-closed and then reached out to pick up the book, straightening and turning so that he could hold it out to the woman with the hand not holding the rucksack by the strap. "Here you go."

After all he could also go back and grab the book and lemonade in a moment, the lemonade in particular something that was definitely going to be welcome given that it was hot down here.

A part of him couldn't help but wonder how so many of the those around who were also waiting for the train could stand it given that so many of them seemed to have decided to opt for layers.

A body offered, even if done so subtly and subconciously was a body openly admired, and Aitana did admire Ariel silently but quite obviously. The female form was like a work of art, especially when said woman went out of her way to highlight her already natural beauty. Little did she know what was hiding underneath and what Cinnabar's true 'natural beauty' looked like.

When Ariel moved to leave however Aitana's hand met hers briefly, giving it a characteristically firm and strong squeeze before lifting her hand in a small motion of farewell.

Jarias' mention of the word amazon brought a look of mild amusement to Aitana's lips. Given her size and heritage it was a term she had met with more times than she could remember, even as Juno she had been known as an Amazon, along with the rest of the quartet. But the small and strange meeting of three tall and lovely ladies had been a strange and not unwelcomed coincidence. And the term had been pretty darn appropriate.

The comment about 'not trying' drew a bit of a snort from Aitana as she shifted subconciously. Was being picked up such a bad thing? As long as she got her errand run it probably wouldn't have been a bad way to spend an afternoon. Unless of course it turned out that she did not like the lady as much as her eyes liked her appearance.

The rainbow haired girl was being given the benefit of the doubt to help pass the time. And Jarias was on the right track as she asked about sports, Aitana brushing her braids lightly back over her shoulder. "Volleyball and gymnastics. Just for fun now, but I used to compete."
