Jezebeth gave his hand a little squeeze before they had to let go in order to fill their trays. Her plate was similar to Enoukn's in a lot of ways. Of course, her's was loaded more heavily toward the fruit side. Of course she had paid attention to their Health teacher when she taught them about the food pyramid. She made sure to get a balanced meal otherwise. She avoided the dessert though, since she had technically had something sweet to eat at lunch earlier.
She followed him to one of the tables in the corner of the room. As he sat down she sat down in the seat to his right. She set her tray down in front of her, but kept the book off to the side to avoid and hazardous mess. usually she would read a book while she was in the cafeteria, but than usually she was eating alone. For now she kept it out of the way though.
She picked at the meat on her plate first, it was really her least favorite part of the meal. It's not that she disliked it, it just didn't top the vegetables and fruit that she saved for last. She was a strong believer in 'saving the best for last', especially when it came to eating food. She has been delighted to see that her and Enoukn has similar tastes, but she was maybe a tad surprised by the amount of food he had taken, her's was smaller in comparison.

 Enoukn was stoked. He had a friend to sit with him while he ate dinner! He of course, was going to have to see if he could find her tomorrow at breakfast, and at lunch as well. Eating with someone was so much better than not. Even if neither of them were talking - it was still nice to have someone around. Like Jezzie, he worked his way through his meat and grains pretty quickly, he picked at his veggies and ate a lot more of the fruit. After two bites of his own he reached out with a hand and lightly tapped Jezzie on the shoulder, holding his fork out for her. "Say ahhh..." He said, directing the fork toward her mouth so she could take a bite of the fruit. He'd seen some of the older students do this... Friends fed each other right?

Yes they had been eating their meals quietly. But, to be fair, it was hard to eat and talk all at the same time. Plus, she was comfortable with the silence and it seemed like Enoukn was comfortable with it as well. She was obviously happy to be eating with her new friend. Her legs were swinging underneath her, as they often did in class.
She looked over at Enoukn when he spoke up however. She was a little puzzled by the request a first, but upon seeing the delicious fruit she was being offered, she didn't hesitate. "Ahhhh~" She took a bite of the offered fruit and hummed happily as she ate it. Fruit was her favorite food, there wasn't really any kind she had found she didn't like at this point.
It seemed like Enoukn really knew what it meant to be a good friend. Since he had given her some of his fruit, should she return the favor? She picked out one of her favorites and directed her fork toward him this time. "Ahhhh~" She mimicked the noise, implying it was his turn to be fed. She was merely returning the favor! Apparently this was a thing friends did with each other!

Jezebeth had taken the fruit! Enoukn was estatic. Obviously watching the Juniors and Seniors was paying off as far as knowing how to be a good friend went! When she offered some of her own fruit he happily took a bite as well. This was great! He speared another piece of fruit and held it up for her again, offering it to her. He'd gotten the extra fruit for a few reasons. One, because he really liked fruit and he ate a ton of it and two, because he had wanted something to share with Jezzie. He ate a lot of food to fuel his active body. But he was sure he would put on a bit of pudge before he grew up big and tall. It just seemed to be the way he grew. Still - he was having a lot of fun sharing his dinner with Jezzie. More than he'd had ever being by himself. He was so happy he'd found a friend. Being caught out in the rain had never been such a good thing!

Jezebeth hadn't really thought to pile her own plate up with food. She'd gotten enough for herself, but since Enoukn was sharing some of his with her, it was okay for her to give him some of her's. She happily took a bite out of the offered fruit again. She could eat fruit all day, though she had learned that didn't make for a balanced diet....
After she had a bite of the fruit he offered she held out some for him as well. It seemed they passed the rest of their dinner time sitting around and feeding each other fruit. She'd certainly never spent her time in the cafeteria with someone else before! It was fun to have some company for a change.
"Enoukn...will you be my friend?" Neither one of them had really brought it up yet. It was easy enough to assume, but Jezebeth just wanted to make sure that she wasn't the only one that felt like they'd become friends. She hadn't had one before, so it was new territory for her.

Enoukn had enjoyed dinner far more than he ever had before. It was nice to be able to share his food and his time with someone. It felt nice! He'd very much enjoyed his time with Jezebeth. In fact he was actually disappointed a little when they finally finished the last of their food. But still, there was some time before bed so they could hang out still, right? Then she dropped the friend question and his eyes went wide. "Aren't we already friends?" He asked her, leaning over to give her a hug. Friends gave hugs right? "Yes! I want to be friends, Jezebeth!"Of course he wanted to be friends with the little fallen! She was fun! Pulling back from the hug he smiled. "Did you want to hang out until bedtime?"

So they were already friends! Jezebeth hadn't meant to startle him with her question. She just hadn't made a friend yet. She had to be sure! She squeezed him back when he leaned over to give her a hug. She was honestly the happiest she'd been in a long time! This beat reading a good book!
"Sure! We could hang out in my dorm!" She didn't have any roommates, unlike most Freshlings. She had requested a private room because she enjoyed the quiet and wanted a place to study and such in peace. She was surprised when her request was granted and thus she had plenty of room for company in her room, plus pillow galore to prop up on and read a book or two.
She smiled and spun out of her chair, picking up her tray she disposed of her trash properly and set the tray aside to be cleaned. "My dorm is this way!" She held out her hand, waiting for Enoukn to take it before leading the way.

Enoukn was thrilled! He was going to go spend time at a friend's dorm! This was awesome! Nodding his head quickly, he also cleaned off his tray in the trash and set it aside to be cleaned, before quickly clopping over to Jezebeth to take her hand and let her lead the way. He followed her in silence, just taking in the path to her dorm so he could remember it for later. He'd know where to find her now at least - that was what was important! He had to know where his friend was so he could find her! This was such a good day! He was happier than he'd been in a very, very long time. His very first real friend! He really didn't count the freshlings who shared his room, since to be frank, they really didn't talk to him much.

Enoukn took her hand! Yes! This had really turned out to be a fun day. She had a book tucker under one arm and a friend holding her hand! She had discovered a little tree trying to survive out in the courtyard and had even been able to identify it with the help of Enoukn and a good book!
It wasn't a very long trek to her room and she gently pushed the door open. her room was decorated with very neutral colors, she didn't want anything standing out and distracting her while she tried to read or do her homework. There was a space above her bed decorated with pillows and that was often where she spent her time doing her free-reading.
She let go of Enoukn's hand and made her way up the little stairs. "This is where I always hang out! I have a lot of comfy pillows up here!" She settles in, sitting on top of the big pink heart-shaped pillow and taking on of the smaller ones and places it against the wall so she could lean back comfortably. She loved her wings, she really did, but sometimes they made it hard to get comfortable....

Enoukn was glad it wasn't a very long walk. But it had been a super exciting day and he was finally starting to wear down now that he had food in his tummy. Still, Jezebeth had invited him over! He had to go and at least see what his friend's room was like! He was quite glad he did! It was a very nice room, and when she let go of his hand to go up the little stairs he was somewhat thankful - mainly because he wanted to be sure he maintained his balance on her little stairs! It would be quite awful to have come this far only to be thwarted by falling and bumping his head! Once he reached the little loft over her bed though, he moved to her side quickly and sat down next to her. He hoped she didn't mind as he scooted a bit closer to her, mindful of her wings. But he wanted to see the book she had and it would be difficult to do so without being right next to her!

Even Jezebeth was starting to feel a bit tired now, it had certainly been a long day! She knew it wasn't good to sleep right after eating though! So she planned on spending some more time with Enoukn and the book she had borrowed form the library! The day was made even better because she knew she'd always have Enoukn to spend time with from now on!
She wasn't bothered at all by how close Enoukn was, friends were supposed to be close! She even scooted a bit closer to him so that he could see the book better. She placed it between them and flipped open the cover. It was the book about different flowers there had been a chance their little plant was a flower after all! It had them all classified and organized by region, so she flipped to the area where Asphodel Gardens was located.
"Some of these are so cute!" There were pictures of course, and than a page worth of various information regarding the plant. She took her time reading them before turning to a new page, going at a pace they could both work on.

Eno was starting to get sleepy himself but he was having too much fun reading with Jezebeth to excuse himself to go to his room. Besides, they still had plenty of time before lights out, so it would be a shame to waste it! He was actually really glad when she scooted closer because it made reading the book a lot easier for him to do! "They are very cute!" He said with a nod as he looked over the pretty flowers in the book. He wondered if Jezebeth would like to go and see if they could find some in the courtyard. If only to identify them and see if they actually were there. She'd helped him with his tree after all, so he doubted there wasn't a plant they couldn't identify if they didn't work hard at it! Still, he couldn't help but wonder what they were going to do about the tree. They would have to speak to the teacher she had talked about and see what it would take to ensure that the tree grew up in the right spot! He didn't want their tree to suffer.

Jezebeth naturally adjusted herself to be more comfortable as she found her eyes growing heavy and heavier. She was leaning into Enoukn now, she figured he wouldn't mind. They were friends after all. She didn't feel shy about using him for support at all. It was so nice to enjoy his company while they read the book she had checked out from the library.
She brought her hand up to cover a yawn and then pointed at the purple flower on their current page. "This one is the same color as your hair!" She smiled and let out a little laugh, which turned into a yawn in the end. She didn't want to go to bed! She was having too much fun with her new found friend.
She knew now that'd they be spending most of their days together. Maybe they could even sit next to each other in class! She usually kept to herself in her classes. They could work on projects together, he was quiet like her, so he'd make a good study partner right? "We'll have to ask Mr. Corben tomorrow about our little tree!" The pages were getting flipped slower as sleep started to creep in on her.

As Jezebeth began to lean more into him, so too, did Enoukn begin to lean into her. He was hardly shy about affection - or leaning - or being a good support for her. His own head actually rested against hers lightly as they read, his plush gripped in one arm his other resting slightly behind her as they sat. When she yawned, he yawned. His own eyes were getting heavy - but he was sure there was still plenty of time before bed. He could hold out for a little longer, no need to excuse himself just yet... When she pointed out that one of the flowers was the same color as his hair he laughed a bit with her. "I hope it smells better than my hair!"As she continued to read the book, he wondered if she'd mind if he spent more time with her? Like her, he was already thinking of how much more fun classes would be now that he had a friend. Of course - they'd need to be quiet during class so as to not get split up for being disruptive - but now he had a partner for any sort of group activity or assignment that required them to split off into pairs at the very least. He yawned and nodded at her comment. "Mhm..." His eyes were drooping, and it actually wasn't long after his small mumbled assent that he fell asleep on her.

Jezebeth looked up at Enoukn, she could tell he was growing tired as well. But she didn't exactly want their time together to come to and end, so she didn't make any move to have him leave. Instead she continued to flip the pages in the book. However, she was mostly just looking at the picture anymore. She was too tired to read anymore. This is why she loved books with words and pictures!
She gave one more little yawn before closing her eyes. She had tried so hard to stay awake, but sleep won over. It didn't take long before she was snoring lightly, using Enoukn's shoulder as a pillow. The caretakers would see that they both found their ways to their own beds before morning. There wasn't any harm in letting them nap together for a little while though.
