He had never thought much about organized crime. Oliver wasn’t so naïve or blind to not know that they existed but they had not affected him personally. He hasn’t cared. He had never actually thought about owning Pokemon till Yuji, and hadn’t had a true home till then. Not to mention a lot of the crime organizations were just weird. Magma, Aqua, Galactic, and Plasma all seemed to have grandiose plans that just made little sense. You can’t cover the world in land or in water or explode it or set all Pokémon free or whatever it was their mission statement had been.
So joining Team Rocket hadn’t really ever been a course of action till now. He wasn’t going to be able to get into another college… at least not a good one to complete his degree. He would be deemed too extreme in his interests, once someone actually went deeper into why he had been found nearly naked in the college pool at midnight with his roommates gulpin.
He hadn’t spoken to Yuji about it yet, he hadn’t wanted to. Instead he traveled around Kodo and ended up finding a recruiter and ugh, he still sometimes doubted that it had been a good move. Spur of the moment, life sucking decision that he couldn’t take back. Though the Absol he had been given was rather cute.
He was never telling Yuji about this… never. Well, he was going to tell him about Sucrose, she was sweet and a bit of a dork.

Selling his motorcycle had been unpleasant. Truthfully, he hadn't needed it and the sudden hoops to go through to pay for it had made it unfeasible to keep it. The only good thing that had came from it was he now had funds to put aside for Sucrose's Mega Stone and to get some necessities.
Calling Yuji to cancel the insurance was going to be fun...
