ROYALIST VANGUARD
Leeroi wrinkled his nose. First, he passed out at the end of the battle, and missed the grand finale, and second, he got teamed up with a bunch of
nerds for the hunt. Psykgi was fine, she was cool enough. She had certainly proved her worth in the last battle. But Eridia? And that blue kid, whatever his name was? They were only going to hold him back.
And then Eridia had the gall to think she was better than him. Leeroi scoffed. Player 2? She must have been forgetting her place. "Uh, no. I'm
always Player One." Leeroi argued. "
I'm the hero. I'm a
winner, unlike you." He sneered, leaning back on his lusus and closer to Psykgi.
He half turned his head to the redblood, mumbling but not quietly. "She can't even beat an arcade game without taking desperate measures, what makes her think she can lead us?" He laughed, leaning forward again onto Glitch's head, nestling his chin in its usual spot between her horns. Psy was trying to make him accept Eridia's terrible nickname. Not likely.
An idea came to him. He nudged Psykgi's foot with his own, grinning wildly. "We'll show 'em who's better, Psy," He said, voice picking up dangerously loud, "I'll catch all the rebels before
they even get a chance! I'll get the highest score before they even know what's happening."
The blueblood smirked, watching his fellow teammates flounder forward in the swamp. She smelled bad, but Glitch provided an excellent vantage point where they could see around and avoid getting disgusting. Plus, Lee was a great leader. And Psy... she was probably a really good scout. She was always pointing out things he didn't notice. They backed each other up. They had the quarreling Eri and Azrael beat by a long shot.
"This place is gross." Leeroi idly told Psykgi. It wasn't too bad, but it wasn't really good. It was mostly just gross. He had to admit, though, it was a pretty cool place for adventure.
